    Perry Shelton,

I can't say much beyond: prayer, fasting and faith brings the Holy Ghost.

Keep your spiritual armor at the ready.

Earl Bowman ,i cannot even get my head around your question never mind answer it ,this is because i do not agree with or believe in child / baby baptism , for me ,and many others here in the uk , baptism by immersion is only for people who are old enough to understand its significance and appreciate what an enormous step it is , it is a washing away of all previous sins ,it is a confession of faith ,it is a lifelong commitment ,it is an unbreakable contract and it should only be entered into by some one old enough to fully appreciate its enormous significance ,it is a declaration ,before witnesses ,of love and a desire to be obidient ,an acknowledgement of the need for forgiveness and reconciliation ,yes ,its symbolic but its not irrelevant symbolism ,its symbolism in the same way marriage is ,it means i dont belong to me or this world any more ,its shows my desire not to belong to me , its enormously significant and its sanctioned by Christ , 2nd Kings ch5 v1-14 ,of all the many things in the Bible for people to debate this was one thing i took for granted that we would all understand ,i am astounded to discover that i was wrong , i do not know any congregation in the uk that would accept a new member without requiring proof of previous adult baptism or actual baptism by that congregation except perhaps catholics .

Sister Sacha, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

I'm going to ask a question. I don't need an answer. I want you to meditate in Spirit.

If parents carry a three month old child to be baptised INTO WATER in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, is he BORN AGAIN.

    S. Spencer, thank you for this Word... and for sharing these scriptures. I very much appreciate your sharing,

and praise God for such a baptism of the Spirit. I am learning to discern between the flesh and the spirit, and

between pure faith and a religious spirit. I keep learning, thank you and bless you.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by HIS ANGEL unto His servant John:

    Who is this angel?

John said: I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; and I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Who is this angel, the one like the son of man?

Brother David, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    You referenced:

2 Peter 1:20 This verse says no one verse in and of itself give the complete answer. Other verses have to bear witness to know TRUTH. No scriptures can contradict each other. ALL have to bear witness of each other in TRUTH.

    Luke 16:22-24

You said this verse and others shows that even though God DESIRES all men to be save they want be saved.

THANK GOD, he doesn't leave his DESIRES up to man.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the FULLNESS OF TIMES (more ages than the one we are now in) that he might gather together IN ONE ALL THINGS IN CHRIST, both which are in heaven (first resurrection), and which are on earth (second resurrection), IN HIM.

Luke 16:22-24 Is a parable referencing the judgements of the two resurrections. Lazarus is in the first resurrection and is IN CHRIST. The rich man is in the GRAVE awaiting the second resurrection. When he is resurrected he will be begging Lazarus to give him the LIVING WATER that was given to him.

Know ye not THE SAINTS SHALL JUDGE THE WORLD.

Portia, I am in a similar situation, only it was my fiance who left. I am praying for his salvation, and taking very good care of myself in the meantime, and drawing nearer to the Lord during this time. Seeking to follow the Holy Spirit in all things. Would you also pray for my fiance, that he might be saved as well? Thank you, and Bless You.....
  • Lauren - In Reply - 4 years ago
I will agree with you now, in Jesus' Name, for his salvation, and for the restoration of your marriage.

"Where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst of them," and they shall

ask what they will, and it shall be done unto them. May you keep loving him and blessing him in

the Spirit, and setting the table for him in the physical! Take care of yourself, as a King's daughter should,

and use this time to get even more established in the Lord, and in his Word; know that nothing shall be

impossible for s/he who believes. I will continue to pray and praise God for your answered prayer......

    Oh Sacha,

You are such a good example of a Christian by works and by example. I admire how adamant you are about your spiritual convictions.

I was baptized as a baby, didn't remember it, and wouldn't do it again for fear of water. I only take showers, no baths because I fell asleep in the tub and almost drown. Enjoy the summer harvest.

Jesus gives clews about the great tribulations coming. Luke describes how Jesus thief will come at the day of the Lord to lay down the land. He will not meet us as a man. It sounds like guns, thunder. Revolution.

Luke 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

Please pray for me. I am very disturbed about my separation from my husband now for 3 years. I would like very much for us to be back together. Unfortunately, he is not save/a Christian believer, though he only acknowledges that he believes in God, from a general view. My prayer is that God might save him.

My question is about woman who had an issue of blood and she touch (action/ works) Jesus garment with faith, and she was healed.

Question- What was the women issue of blood? And what action/works can be used today for a man with faith to be heal with a blood issue (multiple myeloma cancer).

I have multiple myeloma cancer which I think can be considered a blood issue.

I have good if not great faith, however Jesus is not physically here to perform works and show Him my faith. I know God can see and/know our faith, but what type of work is what I don't know.

Ricky L Hill, Rage against the machine was taken to court right after the towers went down because of lyrics in one of their songs would lead you to think they knew about the attack, before hand when they didn't know, they were just singing what they were led to sing. Revelation 9:1-11 goes with Sept. 11, so prophesying is still taking place today.

    Lex,

If you have been born of God's Spirit, His Spirit abides in you permanently. In John 14:16, Jesus said "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another comforter, that He may (abide) with you forever. This word abide (MENO) denotes permanency. Jesus said His Spirit will abide with you forever. How long is forever? No end! Jesus is going to send another comforter and He is going to abide in me, and I am going to be a dwelling place forever.

Ephesians 1:13-14 tells us that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. That seal cannot be broken by anyone other the owner of the possession. Jesus Christ has purchased us. We belong to Him. He has given us His Spirit to live in us permanently until He comes to redeem His possession.

Of those who Christ has saved and placed within them His Spirit, Jesus said He will never leave them nor forsake them. This is a double negative in the Greek which denotes the strongest impossibility of something ever happening. He will never take His Spirit from a believer.

We are told in Romans Chapter 8 that if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ (Indwelling), that person does not belong to Christ. That is the indication that a person is saved, is that they have the Holy Spirit in them. John 6:37-40 is a great section of scripture that would indicate that God's Spirit will always be with the believer. If God's Spirit were to be removed from us, we would be lost. And Jesus said all that the Father has given to Him, He would not lose one, but raise them up at the last day.

Please pray for my ex-girlfriend's stepdad who was diagnosed with Covid. Her mother is being tested tomorrow.

Please also pray for my middle sister who's oldest son committed suicide on February 26. She has a very rough time accepting that he's no longer alive and is seeking her solace in prescription medicine/alcohol.

    Thank you.

Thankyou Little Sheba ,im honestly not angry , i often read things on here that i dont agree with , most of the time i dont say anything as i can often see why a person believes something , i can see their logic even though i may not agree with them , i am genuinely incredulous that any one can reject water baptism ,especially as Christ endorses it , i would feel naked if i hadnt been baptised , we can all be in error at times ,i know that for sure , i cant in all conscience keep quiet if i think some one is in error and is leading others down a wrong path , as far as im concerned the subject is closed for me and him ,we have agreed to disagree and i shant read his posts ,ive told him this and he seemed ok but now he is sending me posts ,im not reading them . Im sure when he realises im not reading him he will give up , thanks for listening to me , i appreciate you , love in Christ .

Brother Melvin, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Jesus said: Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it again. He was speaking of his body.

If we are IN CHRIST then we are in the temple of God.

    John declared this:

Revelation 15:8 And the temple (CHRIST) was filled with the smoke of THE GLORY OF GOD, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the TEMPLE (into Christ), till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

The seven plagues of Revelation was poured out on Christ instead of us, WE deserved that punishment. All of mankinds judgement was ON CHRIST as he cried out to God.

  • Jesse - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Neil,

Here is something that I take away from that presentation. It is very interesting about these three gifts, and the representation that these gifts have.

They gave Gold to deity, to kingship, and to rulers. Gold is the metal. Gold is the item for royalty. And so by bringing gold, they were worshipping Him as King.

Frankincense was one of the items used as a gift offering in the book of Leviticus and it represents the representation of man in their worship of God.

Thirdly, Myrrh was for embalming and had to do with embalming bodies.

So what you have in the representation here, whether they realized it or not, they were presenting three gifts to the Lord, representing His deity, His humanity, and His death.

JESUS came in the fourth Day, nd GOD was sitll working. John 5:v.17 - 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

    Hebrews 1:v.1-4

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    2 Hath in these last days (last two Days or two thousand years) spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Brother Benton, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

I BELIEVE we are being conformed (created) into the exactness and perfection of Christ. We are being made Sons of God as he is; but we will NEVER have the GLORY of the FIRST BEGOTTEN.

1 Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another of the moon, and another of the stars: for one star differeth from another in glory.

I BELIEVE this is true of the natural creation; but also represents the FATHER, the BEGOTTEN SON and those SONS created in Christ.

With as much Love and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that is with in me; I ask that you look into Luke 16: 22- 24. Not all will be with Christ forevermore. 2 Peter 3:9 tells us of God's desire for all, but not all will be with Christ forevermore.

May the Lord bless you in your search of God's righteousness and His wisdom not our own. 2 Peter 1:20

Revelation 20:11-15 depicts the great white throne of Christ Jesus. Not all will be with Christ forevermore.

God gave us these passages, as well as the one's you gave, to help us all to become "Christians or born again believers" in order that we are able to be with Him forevermore.

God's desire is that we be with Him forevermore as you brought forth in your discussion. But only through Scripture, His way. 1 Corinthians 15: 1- 4; Romans 10: 9, 10; 1 John 5:10-13

Pray that this discussion helps everyone on this Forum. God bless you. Love in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Lex,

A good indication of someone having the Holy Spirit would be a change in that person's life. That person has a hunger and desire for the things of the Lord and has a hunger for His word. When God's Spirit comes into a person's life, that person becomes a new creation in Christ.

There has to be a change because the Spirit of God that dwells in a believer is not dormant. It is God's Spirit (Holy Spirit) that transforms the life of a believer. God's Spirit will give you a true love for Him, and a true love for your brothers and sisters in Christ. Apart from His Spirit, we cannot produce that type of love.

Jesus' ministry is to baptize all who call on Him with His Spirit. He promises us that. Please keep in mind that you cannot "feel" the Holy Spirit. We cannot feel spirit. We can have a human emotional experience, but we can't feel spirit.

A believer knows they have the Spirit indwelling them by faith. It is God's Spirit that persuades us to believe. In fact, that's what the word faith literally means. It is the word PEITHO and it means persuasion. I cannot feel God's Spirit in me but I know He is there because He has fully persuaded me in my mind to know that He is in me and He is working in my life.

Lex, if you have God's Spirit in you, there will be a noticeable change in your life. It is a change that you know has taken place. Others might and should also notice the change.
