v 51, 52 shows us in our spiritual state when we are clothed in our own selves and not in Christ Jesus. We are "naked" and have no power against the flesh. We have no testimony no witness for His sake. Even Peter follows afar off. V54
Have you anointed Jesus in your heart as the woman did. She did it in a public forum, before all. I need to pray continually for the grace of God that I stand fast and not deny Him in my daily living amongst men.
It is very easy to praise the Lord and worship Him amongst the believers in church and fellowship, but I need to be faithful even amongst the unbelievers and deniers of the faith.
Though there are many areas of the faith, doctrines, that we may not agree on; let us pray for each other and lift each other up to the throne of grace. Let us pray even for the people God has placed over us in positions of authority. ( Romans 13: 1-5, 1 Tim 2:1-6; 2 Peter 3:9)
Let's lift up the current administration, President Biden, in Christ Name. Those who sit on the bench of the supreme court and of course our 100 senators and 441 (or so) house representatives. (435 stated elected, and 6 from the territories and common wealth of the USA). Sorry for the civics lesson. Pray for your own local state leaders.
God bless all. And lest we forget, pray for the peace in Jerusalem. May we be found faithful as we await the coming of the Lord Jesus in the clouds. 1 These 4: 11- 18
v26
"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory."
Study the whole counsel of God not just parts of His Word. If you do not believe in a "rapture" that's ok. If you are pre, mid, or post trib believer; that is ok too. Just rec' and trust the Lord Jesus as your Savior. You'll just be happy that The Lord God knows His Bible and is faithful to His promises. Know Jesus, know life everlasting. No Jesus, No life everlasting.
Watch and be prepared, expecting the Lord's return at any time.

the son is in itallics which means it was added and intetpreted as the son by the translators ,its still as such but the margin highlights it and says ,son-in-law.Hope ive explained this ok .
I knew that you knew the answer, and this was a teachable moment.
For the balance, someday maybe I'll remember to forget.
And since an illegal divorce opens the way for both parties to consider re-marriage, then this too results in breaking God's Commandment concerning an adulterous relationship. So we turn to the Apostle Paul who, in 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, gives a further comment for believers. They ought to remember that Christian couples now equally share in each other's lives & that a proper response of "benevolence" (love, respect, kindness) to be shown to each other.
Verse 5: Paul instructed those who had marriage problems to "not defraud (deprive) each other (of this benevolence)". But in a state of hopelessness, they could separate for a time, being in prayer & fasting, seeking help & healing of their matters from the Lord. The whole point of this was to prevent the marriage from being dissolved & that all steps should be taken for both to stay together & have their differences healed & their love & respect return.
You write of one being emotionally abused. I would say that the offender needs to be made aware of his/her callous actions. If no consideration is given or change seen, then professional counselling would be next (from the Pastor or another counsellor). If this attitude still persists, then seek a separation for a time using it to consider the damage being done to the other & gain help & guidance from the Lord. If all fails, I would say that a final separation or a divorce is in order as ongoing verbal abuse is just one step short of physical abuse, though realizing that after this, neither spouse can re-marry again, at least from the biblical instructions we learn on this matter. The Lord be with you.
Jesus was about 33.5 years old when crucified.
Christians can have all types of intrusions into their lives as Satan creates fears, doubts, temptations to sin, etc. All these things God forgives on the basis of His Son's death as we come in repentance for our folly & sin. But you have stated that you might not be fully convinced that "Christianity is true". So, I would ask you, with great care: 'have you truly repented of your sins, been born again & have God's Spirit in you?' And secondly, 'if you have come the Way of the Cross, then what is troubling you about your faith or God's Word?'
Before you can even concern yourself with Hebrews 6:4-6 (which was a specific warning to those who were wanting to revert back into Judaism) & about apostatizing, I feel you need to attend to the other matter to find out why you are having doubts about 'your faith' & to prove the truth of 'Christianity'. However, if you truly believe you're saved, then it could be that you're not spending much time in God's Word, in prayer & receiving wholesome teaching in a Fellowship. Maybe, you need to ask questions (even here on this Site), seeking answers that will clear up your doubts & fears. And remember, when God's Word assures us or gives us an answer, we can fully trust it & use it against any doubts or fears we may have. Every Christian must daily put on God's Armour in readiness ( Ephesians 6:10-18). May the Lord lead you especially in your matters of concern.
Jesus returns to prevent antichrists fractured army from sinking the planet. The entire world is knocked off it's axis, hanging on in the universe by a thread, dark 1/3rd the day from wobbling. Isaiah 24 is no joke. Repairs have to be accomplished on earth before the new phase in the new age can be ushered in. Babylon will not be inhabited for four hundred years (curse of Egypt), people will block their noses when passing by.
"I believe the battle mentioned in Ezekiel and the battle in Revelation is two separate events because of location and the players involved". Can you be more specific?.
When satan is released, there won't be a battle against born again saints. The last battle to end all battles was when Christ defeated antichrist at the last trumpet, when the mystery was over.
I am proud of you. You are sharpening your skills rather well, knowing what happens in line. It's as good an answer given the glimpses we squint at.
Jesus' bride are the saints redeemed from the great tribulation, from the 12 tribes of Israel.
Even we today who read from the KJV are not reading from the original 1611 version as instituted by King James, as if you read from that one, you will see some major differences in the area of spelling as written in those days. This Site gives you that 1611 version (under the Tab "More") if you wish to try & read in that 'olde English'.
In the Old Testament days, God spoke & showed Himself in more visible ways: in choosing certain people to fulfil His Will & Program, in choosing a people (Israel) to be called His very Own, & to declare His Word to His people through the prophets He sent.
And then in these "last days" (when God's Promises to His people (under the Old Covenant) would end (= fulfilled) by the introduction of the New Covenant, through His Son: Hebrews 11:1,2), God has chosen to reveal Himself & of Kingdom living in new way. No longer is the requirement of the physical Mercy Seat in the Tabernacle or the Altar for burnt sacrifices. No longer is the need for God's audible Voice to His prophets. All this has been fully met in the Person of His Son: He is the reason for God's continuing Mercy on us, a miserable, unregenerate, sinful people. Jesus is the Living Word to bring God's final Word of warning to us, indeed, to ultimately lay down His Life so that we might still have this Age of Grace to live in & live for Him.
So, to all who would believe on Jesus for their salvation, repenting of their sins & confessing His Name, God's Testimony & Word has not diminished. He sent forth His Spirit into our hearts, crying "Abba, Father" ( Galatians 4:6). The same God Who hid His Face from His Son in the agony of the crucifixion, did so, so that His Face might now be fully revealed to us His sons & daughters by His Spirit. The Word that the prophets & saints of old heard audibly, we do also now by His Spirit. His manifestations seen in the powers of Heaven & on Earth in those days, are now seen in His Power in us & in the miracles He does for each of us, some seen, some unseen. Nothing has changed - God's revelation to His people (both to the saved Jew & Gentile) are still the same, & I would say, even of greater magnitude as His Spirit reveals more, does more, says more, to us now.
Here's another you might like.
Isaiah 55:10-11. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God bless
Just to add to the truths that others shared, God is Holy and can't be in the presence of sin, Those was our sins that caused the Father to forsake him.
God takes sin seriously, Even though it was his son he couldn't turn back judgment,
God hates sin.
Isaiah 53:10-11. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
God bless
If we're not careful before signing the dotted line as guarantor for another person, then we will be the one to suffer in the end. But if we're prepared to take the risk, as for a loved one or friend, then we need to 'travel the full distance' with them & be prepared to meet the financial obligations that the loved one has failed to honour.
You said the Millennium is a time of cleansing and you referenced
Ezekiel 39:12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land."
Here in Ezekiel is a clean up after Gog and Magog, It's 7 months, the Millennium will be 1000 years. It won't take neither for the Lord to cleanse the earth,
He created the heavens and Earth and all that was created in 6 days,
I believe the battle mentioned in Ezekiel and the battle in Revelation is two separate events because of location and the players involved.
Even so the Millennium wouldn't be a period of cleansing when the battle would be afterwards when Satan is released.
Joel said ALL NATIONS will be included in this battle.
I believe it will be a time of testing to show prideful man what's in his heart, where you see man is put in an ideal environment and still rebel in those conditions, it shows the heart of man, " INCURABLY WICKED "
note:
The church won't be here on earth during this period, we're already raptured up!!
Next you see the devil cast into the lake of fire, and then comes the judgment,
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: ( AND THEY WERE JUDGED EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO THEIR WORK'S.)
( BELIEVERS WONT BE JUDGED FOR OUR WORK'S, WE HAVE BEEN IMPUTED CHRIST RIGHTEOUSNESS!! ) WE came through the narrow gate.
I believe this is where you will see
Matthew 7:22-23. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
God bless
Please note, that this was a special prayer that Jesus taught His disciples ( Luke 11:1) because at that time Jewish Rabbis often gave their followers a special prayer or recitation as a part of their instructions & disciplines. We can use the Lord's Prayer very meaningfully today also, but shouldn't restrict ourselves only to those words, as our Heavenly Father wants to hear our prayers as the expression from our hearts (filled with praise, thanksgiving, & requests), given in faith.
