John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in US: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as WE are one:
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
(31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a SON, and shalt call his name JESUS.
(32) He shall be great, and shall be called the SON of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father (not Joseph) honour. (27) Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Mark 10:40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is NOT MINE to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
Eternity is defined as that state to which time has no application; timelessness. Like the singularity produced by a black hole or a mathematical equation that has no end, we will exist in a state which is nether static nor cyclical.
The judgement is the fire which will consume all that is not divine, since nothing but the divine can merge into the consuming fire that is our Lord and King.
After the final judgement, all creation has been replaced with the new heaven and the new earth, in which sits the new Jerusalem, where we will abide for eternity with our Lord.
But, doing what, exactly?
We Christians are not specifically taught about this state, which is my complaint. The devil has been thrown into eternal fire with his minions and those that embraced him. The saints have all be transfigured. Death has been conquered. What is left? What is left to accomplish?
Your reply makes the answer abundantly clear..... TO LOVE. To love God and worship Him, to love one another, to love whatever the new heaven and new earth has in it. For eternity. Forever.
Thank you for considered reply. God bless you and yours.
Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Even though the numbers differ greatly, there should be no reason to assume error or textual corruption. Joab undertook the work unwillingly & therefore performed it imperfectly. According to 1Chronicles 21:6, he refused altogether to number the tribes Levi and Benjamin; & according to 1 Chronicles 27:24 "he finished not," and no official record was made of the result: "neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David."
I think that the numbers were, in part, mere estimates. Here (2 Samuel), Israel is said to be 8 hundred thousand, in 1 Chronicles, 1.1 million; but the latter probably includes an estimate (i.e. not an included number) of the omitted tribes of Benjamin and Levi, and perhaps of portions of other tribes.
On the other hand, Judah in 2 Samuel is numbered 500,000 (a round number like all the rest), and in 1 Chronicles, 470,000. The difference is due perhaps to an estimate of the officiating priests and Levities accounted to Judah.
Another possibility, (from 1 Chronicles 27), is that the regular army of 288,000 (twelve divisions of 24,000 each) is included in Israel in one case and excluded in the other. And that in the same way in regard to Judah, "the thirty" may have had command of a special body of 30,000. Possibly in one case, the descendants of the old Canaanites were reckoned (since it appears from 2 Chronicles 2:17, that David "had numbered them"), and in the other, they were excluded. There is no reason to doubt the general reliability of the numbers since we're not given all the considerations/calculations used in numbering them. In any case, it appears that a probable total population of five or six million is in order.
( Jeremiah 50:43)
If I have patience God will guide me.
He then adds in verse 3, to know that the LORD is (the One) God. Psalm 96:5: "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens." That there can only be one True God for He is the One Who has created us, we are accounted as His very own - as a Shepherd Who owns, guards & nourishes His flock - He loves all His creation, even those who reject or deny Him - He gives blessing to each one ( Matthew 5:45: "(God) maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."). And a further reminder, that He created mankind & we are not "self-created" or from our vain imaginations, but that God is not only our Creator but our Sustainer & Provider.
With that Truth in our hearts, why shouldn't all people respond with "thanksgiving, praise & blessing" to His Name (v 4), & especially to those to Whom He has revealed Himself (Israel) & to those of us, by virtue of His Son's Death & Resurrection & Gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Israel should have entered the Temple gates & courtyard with such joy & confidence in their Creator but sin hid God's Face from them ( Isaiah 59:2). Likewise, harbouring sin in our lives, will keep us from joy & confidence in the Lord & our praise might be only empty words habitually spoken. But when we come into the Holy Place (the place of His Presence, of joy & rest), we can be confident because of "having clean hands, and a pure heart" ( Psalm 24:4) & that because of Jesus' shed Blood for us ( Hebrews 10:19-22). We can praise Him from our hearts through words, music, testimony & witness ( Hebrews 13:15).
(You can add to the above, as you're led).
Just to reply to your question about Luke 3:23 & Matthew 1:16. The other verses in the OT I have no knowledge of.
As I have found this issue also and done some research and was lead to the answer. The generations from Babylon to Christ are to be fourteen as in Matthew 1:17. The way it is written is only thirteen if "Joseph", in Matthew 1:16, is Mary's "husband". First off we know something is up as the father of Joseph, Mary's husband, in Luke 3:23 is Heli. As that is his genealogy. In Matthew 1:16 it says it is Jacob.
In Matthew 1:16 what should be written is Jacob begat Joseph the "father" of Mary.
I don't know how this mix up happened as said it is only thirteen generations from Babylon to Christ as it is written. Which is wrong to the next verse. Changing "husband" to "father" makes the generations fourteen and in line with the next verse. Also we know Joseph's(Mary's husband) father is Heli not Jacob as stated.
One man had copies of original texts of "father" not "husband" for Matthew 1:16. In another language of coarse.
Hope that helps.
God Bless.
Our country is racked with the Pandemic. Our economy has fallen, many have no jobs. We have left our first love.
Our current leadership in Washington has practically abandoned Israel unto itself.
Prayer is our only hope and the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds.
( Revelation 20:12-13) The second harvest takes place after the thousand years.
To comment on what you have written. Sins in the U.S. seems to be increasing daily and Putin is unpredictable and not a good guy. You may be correct; time will tell but there will be some things not known until it happens. There are horrible times coming and if we are still here, we need to be prepared, being strong in our faith in Jesus Christ and walk in the Spirit ready to face even death.
There are many teachings on the end times using Old Covenant prophets and layout in believable scenarios and some may be pretty close. If I can make a suggestion, not saying you are wrong, but you can hear the sincerity of your belief in your words. Something you may want to look in to if you have not studied it and have made your decision, it is concerning Daniel 11.
Check into the history of the Greek empire after they rose and after Alexander the Great died and it was divided into four sections and then two, the north and the south. Study that history along with Daniel 11 up to the taking control of Rome along the time frame given in Daniel 9 the 70 week prophecy. I know it is a lot. If you read the book of 1 Maccabees it may help, it is talking about part of what is in Daniel 11, the stopping of the daily sacrifices and the abomination of desolation and more. You can pull it up on this site. Click on more, then click 1611 King James Bible Apocrypha, then scroll down and click on 1 Maccabees.
Daniel 11 covers on into the coming of the Messiah/Jesus. If you have studied this and you have decided it is covering the end times, please forgive me.

I appreciate our talk and your love and care to our family. This particular family member has a special light, he is not deep or studied at all but 100% steadfastly walking in faith with a song on his heart.

I think many assume we're 'saved' instantly when we start following Christ. While the Bible says we can have assurance of salvation if we follow Him, but I'm not aware of any verse saying we're instantly saved and will skip judgment and are in a book of life, as if its a guest list for heaven.
I looked up the 4 verses you posted about 'book of life' and they don't say that all Christians have their names written in the book of life, it doesn't say who or when their names may be written in the book, and doesn't say this comes before judgment day. The Exodus reference suggests that Moses's name was written in a book by God. It doesn't call it the book of life. Moses was also a special person appointed by God. God also replied with this: And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. And the Bible says everyone has sinned.
1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
Doesn't say you have salvation now, doesn't say you have it instantly and aren't judged, it says revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"
This says grace isn't even given to us until the end at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 20:12 - indicates the book of life is used on the day of judgment to review what all have done. Either way all will be judged.
2 Corinthians 5:10
Romans 2:16
John 12:48
Hebrews 9:27
Revelation 20:12
If you have more evidence that says the moment you say respond to an altar call you're instantly in the book of life, or that the moment you decide to follow Jesus you are written in the book of life, please let me know where... Thank you.
Hopefully your child is not to severely burned; God's grace was there before the doctors. This is one of the HARDEST trials we are made to endure; seeing our children suffer. God's grace rest on you and your family.
John 2:21 But he (Jesus) spake of the temple of his body.
Jesus was telling the people that when they crucified him he would arise after three days in a NEW BODY, and that new body would be God's temple (where the Spirit of God LIVES)
Colossians 1:27 The kingdom of God is: CHRIST IN YOU; therefore the temple of God (CHRIST) is in you, making YOU the temple of God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 No ye not that YOU are the temple of God (CHRIST IN YOU)....(where the Spirit of God LIVES)
I like talking, but I do still have a growing family at home to attend even though I am not exactly young. One of which is in the hospital after being burned by hot water after fainting in the shower.
I live in No Ca where the Cascades and the Sierras meet straight across the valley from a nearby window is the Coastal range.
Our names are already written in the "book of life" ( Exodus 32:32-33, Rev 13:8, Rev 20:15, Rev 21:17) and many, many, more. Just type in, King James Version for the Book of Life verses. So, we have salvation through Christ but we must accept it. Acts 2:41 for example, talks about a few thousand that got saved (accepted their salvation).
However, picking up your cross and FOLLOWING CHRIST will require training given us through the Holy Spirit and many people will not want to tolerate that training for heaven and like the seed without root, wither up and die ( Matt 13:6). Or leave the flock and wonder off into the world. Satan does everything he can to temp and lead others away from Christ. He seems to be very successful by filling our lives with materialism. It can be easier than we want to admit to desire what the world offers if we put Christ second.
Seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God in all that you do and I'll see you in heaven.
:)
Hope this helps a little.
