    Hi Derek,

You're right, to sum it up God hates sin, ALL SIN.

All we can do is to acknowledge it, I commend you for that, We continue in his word and prayer and resist all that hinders us. As king David said the Lord comfort us with his staff. He chastens us, we must respond to the chastening.

And not focus on one single sin in our life, just sin in general. We're not perfect but should be growing because our increase and pruning comes from the Lord.

There's nothing we can "COMPLETELY" do about any sin in our life, BUT GOD CAN AND WHETHER COMPLETELY? IF HE DESIDES TO.

When we repent we turn from sin and turn to him,

When we stumble does it bother us? Hopefully so!! That's the Lord working.

We pick ourselves up and never give up on pleasing the Lord. Salvation is a process, We're Saved and being Saved and will be Saved. We pray for a change within ourselves. And don't forget We're Saved unto good works. Don't focus on every individual stumble, Instead focus on the sin nature within us that causes the stumble. We need truth, We pray for regenerated heart. Whether Homosexuality, Liars, Pride, Fornication, Idolatry, ect. Funny how we get rid of single out sin and there comes Pride. Then we're sinning all over again with Pride.

We should run from all temptation and surrender to the Lord and admit to him we can't do it without him. HE KNOWS.

I Pray the Lord strengthen you.

    God bless.

Many people tried to justify homosexuality because of David's and Jonathan's, "brotherhood."

They were both warriors; soldiers. What they did is "CUT A COVENANT with each other. Much the same as God instituted the process in Genesis with Abraham concerning the Deed of Ownership of the Land. The boundaries of Israel CANNOT be disputed; cannot be given away. No matter how much American presidents want to "make nice" with the Palestinians.

In cutting a covenant, both persons exchange weapons, and everything they possess. They are KINSMEN. (biblically: a kindred spirit). There is zero nothing that insinuates a homosexual lifestyle.

Im older ok? Been around since the 50's. My brain is like a recorder: audio, photographic. I remember details of all generations since. I was there. When I said this Generation is Terminal, it's based on cycles of discipline. Reality of national relationships being formed. It's plain but you have to dig like an animal. We like it served up for us and we gobble down the LIES.

The saturation of the news (in our face) on ISSUES, keeps our focus off what the nations are doing.

The explosion of gayness focuses us on pleasure, forcing lifestyles on others: dressing talking parenting, surgical change, make schools teach it; advent of haters, hating and prosecuting other haters. Time consuming, huh? You bet.

We're all wrapped up in that: meanwhile, Israel's enemies have surrounded it, arming themselves to the teeth with weapons of mass destruction. Just itching to start shooting. No one sees the total fulfillment of Matthew 24, in their face!

You're being blinded to what's really happening! They aren't going to tell the truth. Only the Bible has it written down; blow by blow. WHAT are you going to do about Jesus?? Will you warn others?

The AGE of issues is DONE! Get ready to meet a Holy God; who is a consuming fire. WAKE UP.

God is going to end it as soon as the first Nuke is launched at Jerusalem.

Our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us of our debts as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Miracles from God do happen know matter how old you are. Many Blessings came to me. Many mistakes l did not see.

No vacations l lost how to relax. l kept working and helping others seek out their dreams. Thought time would stand still, There was no aging me. Saw the Lights of Heaven more then once. No one told me to seek life instead of work to build others so much. Want to be around God's creations as before.

He always gave me what l wanted you see. Spiritual miracles, but l never stopped to understand. No one was around to help me understand, so l wrote all down. Natives. Medicine men. Miracles given to me. But l only look at what l have now l did not give to others, what God meant them to be for me. Miss my wolf and traveling. Miss my horse never time for them. Understand me now, for I only help others now see. Their gifts of love that comes to them from up above. But like me from the past they don't understand. In this world of evilness-- God's Love for them never is felt. For His Special Love shines inside of you to see-- His world not ours. For the evilness changes what is meant to be. A easier life, not the struggles you see....

Repentance is a condition, this condition is part of being saved, one of the attributes of following Christ. We should pray without ceasing. In all your ways acknowledging Him! The holy Spirit will do the rest!
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on Psalms 91 - 4 years ago
Growing needs water, water is the spirit. Without water the dog will die! The plant in the window will die. The faith you have will die. Gods Water is from the well, that springs into eternal life! You are not saved by works, but by faith ,found in the water, the word of God.
  • Fred scanlan - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Amen, and Amen.

Paul is specific to those who think and judge on these things. In the second chapter to the Romans he is clear, crystal clear.

The Holy Spirit is a person. That person will become the person you are, through faith in in Christ! You or I have no power than that which comes from above! This is grace! Grace found in the shed blood of Jesus Christ!

This is power that cannot be harnessed by man through works! This is power unfathomable from heaven !

Thank you Jesus for such saving grace , indeed while I was yet a sinner!
  • Fred scanlan - In Reply on John 14 - 4 years ago
I was just thinking, where I would be without the knowledge and faith found in the hope of Jesus Christ! The deceitfulness of man, including the church, government, not unlike the time before the fall of Rome!

My immediate sense, to cry out and fight back, but I know this would be Satan's will for me! This one who hates me, and cant wait to have his way with me. His desire to tare me down, before those who will look to me and those who have abiding faith! We who will be conquerors, in the promises of God!

Hold fast therefore onto that which you have! Do not let it slip away. Paul's very words! That will be all it takes, is it to just slip! The faith, the hope, the waiting for His promises! Waiting to see Him face to face! The Christ the savior of the world!

    Brother Tito,

You state: the God you envision..and go on to say that God will forgive everyone even the bad ones, and that the gate to heaven is a Big as the complete works of the human race.

There is no scripture in the bible that backs what you say. You can envision anything - it doesn't mean it's true.

Please read the following bible verses spoken by Jesus. These verses are TRUE, as Jesus speaks the words of God!

    Matthew 4:17

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

    Luke 5:32

"I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

    Luke 13:3

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

As Christians we can believe in Jesus and God, but if we don't REPENT FROM SIN.we will PERISH!

    Believe these words from God.

    Matthew 13:41

"The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;"

    Matthew 13:42

"And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

It's not what WE ENVISION it is what Jesus says.he speaks the WORDS of GOD!

    God Bless

    Brother Dan,

The God I envision has mercy on everyone, even the bad ones; our ransom has been paid forward. We know our sins well. We judge ourselves all our lives, agonize over it. Our brains are wired to God; the first judgment occurs in the twinkling of an eye.

The gate is as big as the complete works of the human race.

    Hello Ed,

I believe smoking marijuana is a sin. It is more carcinogenic than cigarette smoking and has no filters for the large particles to enter and damage your lungs. I believe doing things harmful to your body is a sin. God says our bodies are to be treated as a holy temple. Our bodies aren't even ours. They are on loan from God. We are just temporary inhabitants- we are actually a soul/spirit, not a physical being. So, we have a responsibility to take care of and honor our bodies. Addictions are also sinful.

    Link

Now, to the argument that 'God made it, therefore it is always good (including in excess)'. Ok, that one phrase could be used to justify gluttony, drunkenness, violating God's holy temple, fornication, sodomy, stealing, and a number of evil sins. So, is that 'justification' true? No, I believe it is not. You can argue that everything evil is made from materials from the earth so therefore it's good. That's just a deceitful lie. For instance, weapons are all made from natural materials, therefore it's 'OK' to use them on others? Meth, Cocaine, heroine, should be given to kids and even babies, because it's from ingredients God made, right? As you can see this one attempt at justification can be used for an unlimited amount of evil. And everyone who commits evil uses creative rationalizations just like this, without realizing it.

The fact that you're asking this question means something within you feels a moral dilemma and you aren't 100% sure it's not a sin to do. Your conscience can be a guide- God gave us the holy spirit to help guide us through moral decisions such as this. The first thing to do is pray to God about this and ask Him directly and listen for confirmation for how best you can live a life in a worthy manner. Would Jesus smoke weed? Should a pastor smoke weed during a sermon? Would you be a good Christ-like example to your family, friends, others by doing it?

I've struggled with homosexuality my whole life, even before I knew what gay was. I never wanted it, but in a way I did. How could I want something that I hated so much? Because I knew what God thought about this sin; it was an abominationt against God, so therefore I hated it. Please understand, I realize that there are many sins that God hates, but I think more than Homosexuality, God hates pride even more. How dare we say that God is wrong, or that God is cruel when it is WE who are wrong and it is US who are cruel. Do we dare to judge The Almighty God?

What did Jesus come to do? What did He come to save us from? Hell. Who made Hell? What is Hell other than the Wrath of God? So in other words, Jesus came to SAVE us from the Wrath of God. He paid THAT penalty. The death penalty that WE deserved because from birth we are in constant rebellion. Rebellion against Who?Rebellion against God. Is our rebellion genetic? Yes. Is it by choice? Yes. Does the world want us to rebel against God? Yes. Does Satan try to get us to curse God and die? Yes. But God, being rich in mercy, Who is LOVE itself, loved us so much that while we were still in sin, living in absolute rebellion, gave Himself in the form of a Man to take on that death we deserved. Christ came to save sinners. I am a sinner. So that means Christ came to save me. But Jesus didn't come to save people who aren't sinners, so if you are someone (homosexual or not) who doesn't think that they are a sinner, then maybe Jesus didn't come to save you. Because Jesus came to save ONLY sinners. He didn't suffer crucifixion because we were just so darn awesome. He did it because HE is awesome! All we can do is repent. That means, turn your back on your sin. I will hate anything that would attempt to keep me from Christ. If you want Love, Real LOVE, then want Jesus. Don't want something that is just temporary physical satisfaction. Want Someone Who is Eternally Pure, and Who Is Pure Love Itself. That is what Heaven will be.

    Hello,

Anything in excess to the point of addition and harm can be idolatry and puts things before God, violating 1st commandment. Alcohol, food, gambling, video games, etc.

I personally do not believe playing a game with money is a sin, no more than it is to risk investing in the stock market, or risk investing in college, or risk buying insurance, or risk getting a loan for a new car. In each case you take a risk in hope for a more desired outcome. Much of what we do involves calculated risk taking with money. We cannot avoid money, because that's how we live, and we cannot avoid risk, because life inherantly has many risks. So, you can view making choices about life as gambling. But if you cross a line and let a pursuit take over your life as well as harm other people that I believe is an addiction and a sin. Overeating can be a sin in the same manner- gluttony.

    God bless...
  • JEHOVAH RAPHA or God Who Heals - 4 years ago
One of the names of God is Jehovah Rapha, meaning "the God Who Heals," with the Hebrew word "rapha" translating to "to completely make whole, to thoroughly mend and repair."

The name is one of many God has used to reveal to us who He is, and He as a healer means He restores not only physical disease but personal distresses, mental anxiety, emotional wounds, wounds from sins we commit against Him-everything about us, He desires to heal.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds," the Psalms say. "O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me."

God first introduced Himself as a healer to the Israelite people thousands of years ago, when He miraculously provided for them while they were journeying through the barren Middle East wilderness.

And throughout history up to right now, He continually and miraculously restores hopeless situations just because it's who He is. I know throughout my own life, when I've cried out to Him amid struggles of depression, fear, and all kinds of needs, I've experienced Him and how He has always heard me, provided for me, and restored me.

    See Luke 4:18-21, Isaiah 61:1-3
  • What Does God Look Like - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Exodus Chapter 33

    (Moses' encounter with God)

20 And he said, Thou canst not SEE my face: for there shall no man see me, AND LIVE.

21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

    John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Comment: should you read through the Old Testament, you'll see that the Ark of the Covenant was treated in a very specific way. It was not open to the public.

It is even sinful (I think) for artist's to paint paintings of what they think God looks like. Or what Jesus looks like. The Bible says that Jesus was an ordinary looking man.

The Book of Revelation describes Jesus as victorious and ready to close the book on earth as it is now.
