After reading your post and seeing it is on marijuana usage I feel to post my personal experience.

I smoked/used marijuana straight/daily for around 24 years. It was a normal everyday thing for me and I'd say helped me get through stress, help me relax.

After coming to the Lord Jesus Christ I was having the thoughts, as you, that marijuana is a plant that God made and not "bad" to use it. One night I did as normal. Though the feeling that came upon me was very scary. Not normal as my heart was racing and I felt terrible. I went to sleep and the next morning I was fine. That night I thought "maybe that was just some odd night" and smoked again like normal. Again I felt very scared. So scared I got my father to take me to the hospital as I knew something was wrong. As I felt better in the hospital then the doctor saying everything was perfect after a blood test.

I got home and looked at my smoking device and said "well, it looks like I'm not smoking weed anymore". That was the last time I smoked weed. I believe it was the Holy Spirit in me guiding me to the ways of Christ. As many other things have changed in my life after receiving Christ into my life and giving myself to Him.

I believe the Lord want's us to be sober. As written in the Holy Bible. Sure drinking a beer or two or mixing a little wine with your water. I don't think there's any harm in that as you won't feel anything "drunkenness" from it.

We're all different people and I can only tell you what happened to me and that the Holy Ghost lead me away from marijuana.

As you stated it helps you in some way. And it is valiant of you asking others perspective on this issue. Though I would say the best thing to do is pray to the Lord Jesus Christ about it. Ask Him to guide you in the way He wants and to heal you of your issues, that you believe weed helps with.

The Lord is our medicine and life. He can fix anything.

Medical Marijuana is legal now. It's just a matter of having your doctor give permission for you to use it.

Maybe some other comments from others will be or, not be helpful. I think you're being accused by the devil. To get his case Dismissed, all you need to do is to confess the entire case in front of the Judge. You wouldn't be here if you were not sorrowful over past years.

Satan has a very weak case. God made marijuana to serve as an herb. Problems happen because of how people want everything free. No regulation. As long as Governments and Cartels are dealing in it. It's going to have problems.

Repent and go the legalized route. Problem solved. It's much better than ingesting chemical opioids. Chemicals are dangerous and alter brain chemistry. Stops natural hormone production.

I have had numerous conversations with Hebrew Israelites who would like me to believe that the 10 tribes cross the entire ocean to America. I must say after studying the text there is nothing in there that would suggest that they travelled 11,000 nautical miles to America.

I asked them to consider reading 2nd Chron 30 where King Hezekiah sent letters to all of Judah and Israel and invited them to come up to Jerusalem to keep passover.

After reading the chapter it is obvious to men that at least 6 of the tribes are in the region that the bible describes as "escaping the hands of the Assyrians"

v18 says "a multitude of people" from the 10 tribes got involved in the passover.

King Hezekiah began to reign over Judah in the thid year of King Hoshea's reign over Israel.

So apart from the fact that the 10 tribes crossed the Euphrates I would like to READ proof of them crossing the ocean into the Americas

Adam and Eve as they by sin left the garden, entered into their works, a sixth day (not a day of rest).

Jesus entered into rest on the 7th day.

Man still in their sixth day of works on the first day of the week, when the tomb was open and empty could by faith and free choice enter into the tomb and be dead to their works of the sixth day on the first day of the week.

By faith and remission of sins in Jesus Christ, man dead to their works entered into rest (the 7th day) on the first day of the week.

I believe this is the bodies in the Graves mentioned in previous verse.

In these verses it seems you have the spirit that fell asleep in Christ " coming with Christ ". and you have their bodies which sleep in the Graves risen to meet the Lord in the air. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with "THEM" in the clouds.

I would like to know what other Christians think about the use of marijuana? I am a registered Florida State Medical Marijuana user, but prior to the allowance law, I used it for various medical reasons, unlawfully. I have been reprimanded by others using Rom.13:1" let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.. the powers that be are ordained of God." I was breaking the law, I was told. My objection was, we as Christians are also taught we are allowed to violate man's law when it violates God's law, example, Peter in Acts 5:21-28, Peter did not obey the Sanhedrin and the priests, --the ruling body of Israel, by teaching in Jesus's name, if he did he could not obey Matt.16:15 ." Go and teach." We are taught this means to obey the law and that God has ordained the position of government. As we know not all governments are of God, especially who reject God and His son Jesus. Government is a necessity. What do we do when we know the Government is violating God's law and His Word? Back to the issue of Marijuana. Gen.1:29 " And God said, Behold I HAVE GIVEN YOU every herb bearing seed", Gen. 1:31" Everything He had made was VERY GOOD". For thousands of years it was used variously, the plant has multi uses, Then all of a sudden ( 1939) man claims HIS creation is bad, and arrests are made of the users. Now the medicinal uses are recognized, world wide. Most of the U.S. has approved it's use medically. some states recreational. God's Word teaches moderation , study the uses of alcohol in the Bible. It has use and abuse + the wine of that day when fermenting was mixed .3 to .6 water, not like today's wine. Marijuana is the same, it can be used and abused, like anything else in this world. Growing up I had and still to some degree have ADHD. Marijuana has helped me become more focused. I was a terror growing up, always in trouble until I started using Marijuana in High School, then I was able to focus. I have 3 degrees now, Master's in Ministry study W/G mostly.

I think we as a whole, do not fully understand what the Sabbath Day is for; according to ONLY New Testament revision, implemented by the Lord Jesus Christ. He was Lord of the Old Testament (Covenant), and Jesus taught revisions in the years of his ministry on earth.

The Pharisees only perceived Jesus was going to upset their whole way of operation. They would rather have Jesus dead, than change anything about Sabbath, tithes and offerings, helping out the poor.

I will be hated too for it too. Jesus went in and overturned money changer tables, let loose the doves, scattered sheep. WHY? Outside the Temple it was like a New York stock exchange. Clearly Jesus does not want that in His Church.

If we have great need of blessing and help, we give our best and Jesus will bless accordingly. The Churches operate on Tithes, alone. They were not meant to consume the offerings on their church beautification projects. All that is destined to be burned to ashes.

I might ask: if everyone in your household was in bed on the edge of death, would you leave and attend Sabbath, because you were afraid of Not going?

I perceive Jesus as being Very Practical, and Merciful to the problems of mankind. If our household is struck down in bed with COVID, we should be able to summon the Pastors or Elders to come and pray for the sick.

Sabbath is not constrained to a particular day of the week. The Service Times are posted, and people attend on those days. Jesus wants them to be able to get to a service so they can be taught, take communion, give tithes and offerings, receive prayer for healing.

That's why people are sitting home on Weekends. Our society sucks the life out of us with work, low pay, grid-locked traffic twice a day, kid problems, elderly parents that need visits.

Hi Arenthia Harvey , as far as i know there is no mention of gambling in the Bible , the Bible gives us much good guidance on what. Christians relationship with money should be like ,putting it into as few words as possible : we should not lust after it ,we should not want any more than we need for our daily lives ,we should ,if we are able ,give to everyone who asks without expecting to get it back ,we should use it sensibly , remembering that it is actually God who provides for our daily needs ,in my congregation i know of one or two members who play the lottery , thats their choice and im not going to judge them or fall out with them ,i wouldnt play the lottery ,in the u.k. there are a lot of adverts on t.v. asking people to play lotteries for charity , i give to charity but i wouldnt give to a charity that runs a lottery ,lotteries are gambling , gambling isnt a great idea ,a Christian should be carefull to use what God has given them wisely ,for their own benefit and if you have any spare maybe help others . You can enjoy your life and your cash as you wish ,remember to thank God for everything and be generous to others ,love in Christ .

Hi Heidi ,please be sure you have not offended me at all i promise and im sorry if my reply to you sounded a bit bruske , i am very awake that on this site there are a lot of people who are just setting off on the straight and narrow path to God ,the Bible isnt the easiest thing to read especially the first few times and i like to encourage people to stick with it and not take on board things that they have heard from others too soon without having read it for themselves , once someone has read the Bible a few times and has some confidence in their own understanding then they may wish to explore other writings but i feel its important for a person to be secure in their own hearts and minds about what they believe and understand from the Bible by themselves before taking in what others might have to say ,im sorry if i made you feel bad in any way ,the Truth is a precious gift and i believe it must be the foundation of our faith before we let others try to tell us what they think ,i hope you understand me and are not offended ,thanks ,love in Christ .

I very much agree with you that all souls return to God. Who gave us our spirit as in Ecclesiastes 12:7.

Though as I believe Jesus Christ is at the right hand of God and on the Throne of God in Heaven. As Acts 7:55, Colossians 3:1-4, Hebrews 8:1, Revelation 3:21, Revelation 21:22-23, etc.

I believe I will see, and be with, Jesus Christ, God our Father, and our whole family in Heaven.

Hello, unfortunately what you say is untrue. I trust that this is a genuine open minded post about what the Bible really says. I will go ahead and contrast what you say vs. what the Bible says in hope that you are seeking the truth.

1. "some of your English translations". The KJV is considered a meticulously accurate translation and is a translation for everyone, not just for some, as implied.

2. "there has been a push". No, there hasn't. Who told you this and do you believe it? The Bible hasn't changed, but some people do.

3. Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

This verse is black and white and 100% clear what it means. You can compare it to other translations and they all say the same thing. It's already translated accurately.

4. "But, that is not what the original Hebrew text says." Yes, it is. Who told you it said something different and do you believe them? Did they have a motive for wanting to make it mean something different?

5. "It is confusing to say the least, the Hebrew text:" No, actually, it's not confusing to others. This is a straightforward translation and the KJV English meaning is exactly the same as the Hebrew meaning. It also says the same thing earlier in Leviticus: Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. It also condemns homosexuality in other parts of the Bible. So, what is confusing about it?

6. It does not say "layers of a woman". I'm looking at an interlinear showing the translation with strongs and it does not say your phrase.

7. "I do not know. But it sounds to me that it means a man shouldn't lie down in any woman's bed unless it is the bed he shares with his wife."

It already says exactly what it means. What is your motive for wanting to change it?

Please pray for my daughter Stephanie Tedder that the spinal surgeon she wants to go to will see her and do surgery for her. Also that God will keep her safe until she gets there. That she will be able to get there safe and the surgery will go well. Prayer that her headaches will get better and the pain and the discomfort she has. That God will provide transportation to get her there safely. Prayer that she will get social security disability. she hasn't worked in eight months. She was injured in a car accident. She was hit from behind at a red light. Her family is struggling financially.

the prince of the kingdom of Persia; v.13 = The use of the title "prince" in The Old Testament is synonymous with that in The New Testament. If this prince is indeed an angelic personality, very possibly he is one of the chief angels of whom Apostle Paul identified as a "principality".

In the New Testament, the Greek noun (pronounced "ar-KAY") occurs in English Biblical translations as "principality" or "- ies". Apostle Paul is the primary New Testament writer who used "arche" to refer to living entities.

The term "principalities" identify individuals occupying the highest, supreme rank, and possessing power and authority equal to that rank.

While Paul may have referred to the Roman emperor and other political rulers of his day in certain contexts (e.g. Rom. 8:38; Tit. 3:1), he most certainly included the spirits of the angelic realm as well (cp. Eph. 3:10; 6:12; Col. 2:15), even Satan whose titles include "the prince of the power of the air" ( Eph. 2:2), and "the god of this world" ( 2Cor. 4:4).

No doubt, Paul also considered the eschatological Antichrist of the Tribulation Period, of whom "the dragon (Satan) gave him (the Antichrist) his power, and his seat {throne}, and great authority" ( Rev. 13:2). Paul even wrote about this Satan possessed "man of sin" (2Thes. 2:3-4).

Depraved man desires to replace worshiping JEHOVAH GOD with worshiping angels (e.g. Deu. 32:17; 1Cor. 10:20; 1Tim. 4:1).

The New Testament often refers to the angelic realm as "principality(-ies)" linking them with:

+ angels ( Rom. 8:38);

+ "powers in heavenly places" ( Eph. 3:10);

+ "the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" ( Eph. 6:12);

+ "all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible (? angels?)" ( Col. 1:16).

All other New Testament usages of the noun "beginning" (arche) describe the first position in initiation, commencement, or sequence.

Daniel 10:13; Michael = The name "Michael" means, "Who is like GOD?" He is just "one of the chief princes", meaning he occupies the rank and status of an "archangel" (Jude v.9) as a chief or prince over a number of holy angels ( Rev. 12:7).

Some believe this Michael is the Old Testament identity of The SON OF GOD due to his description as "the great prince which stands for the children of thy (Daniel's) people (the Jews)" (12:1).

But this Michael surely is not The SON OF GOD, for he is described simply as "one of the chief princes" (v.13), implying there are many more angels that hold the position of archangel. LORD JESUS CHRIST, The KING of kings and LORD of lords, would not occupy a title designation of equality as simply one of the chief princes.

The reader may correctly assume that Michael champions GOD's Purposes for Israel and the Jewish nation as just one of his responsibilities. Compare the expression, "Michael your prince" (v.21).

Hermeneutics may interpret this expression to identify Michael as an archangel rather than GOD HIMSELF or HIS MESSIAH/CHRIST. The verb "help" certainly implies a rather benign insufficiency in comparison to GOD's Omnipotence.

I BELIEVE there are two deaths: now in Christ or later in Christ (second death)

I BELIEVE there are two resurrection: now in Christ or later in Christ at the second resurrection.

I BELIEVE there are two judgements: now in Christ (spiritual FIRE) or later in Christ (spiritual FIRE) at the second resurrection and second death.

The word says the wicked want live out half their life (the ONLY life is CHRIST); we don't see this now so possibly it means they will lay in the grave for a long time, or judgement in Christ will be much longer than we go thru in our short lifetime or both.

Hello Roger W, Thank you. The converted heart (not flesh) has a better hope separate of the devil. This hope begins here in earth and finishes in heaven. There should be power to deny willing sin. What others choose to do/believe or not cannot be an excuse not to know Jesus at Calvary and the power of His resurrection. This place (Calvary) is the still waters in a world of sin and separation from God. Likely you know this already.

You state that the only sin is unbelief! Jesus never said that. There are many sins, and christians along with believing in Jesus Christ - WE must also strive to be free from sin!

It sounds to me that you are saying as long as we believe in Jesus Christ we can continue to sin with no repercussions....

Why would Jesus say in the following verses "sin no more"?

John 8:11

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 5:14

"Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."

This is "very powerful" scripture telling us that we must strive to be SIN FREE. Yes, we are imperfect, and we will sin and fall short, but when we do we must still pray for forgiveness and strive to change and walk in Christ.

It's not easy to get into heaven and this verse confirms:

Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

As Christians we CANNOT ignore the above scripture, or we will only be fooling ourselves......

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! I did not mean at all to undermine the importance of the Bible! It is our foremost Book of knowledge, and it is the way God speaks to us in these days! It is different from the spiritual books of any other religion. And our God is the True God. Forgive me if it sounded like I was telling you the Bible was irrelevant! Not at all. We should read the Bible all the way through as much as we can to make it a part of our lives.
