I very much enjoy conversing with you brother Earl. There will be a second post to this.

My view on all(everyone) being saved is this. If this were true, in my eyes, it actually would not matter, in the end, weather the person is a child of God or a child of the devil. As of coarse it is of the highest honor to have been chosen by God to be in Christ to be one of His and live for His Will. As truly my entire life is surrounded around Jesus Christ and wanting to live for the Will of our Father and please Him. Forever.

Though everybody is different I think some may just take that, all being saved in the end, as a free pass to do whatever they want, in this life, with no worry of consequence. Which I have stated before that it could be dangerous to preach that to the people who would take it as such and maybe make them worse people instead of better. Proverbs 9:10, Matthew 10:28, Hebrews 10:31.

As I have gone through my Bible and taken notes of verses from Christ and the Apostles about the "saved and unsaved". Easily over twenty times. Just seeing a verse like Matthew 25:46. Which states "everlasting punishment". Maybe in a verse like 1 Corinthians 1:18. Christ is "to them that perish" foolish but to us(saved) it is "the power of God".

Maybe to bring up one friend the Lord has brought me to just after being saved. It was at a funeral I first saw this friend after around twenty years. The Lord wanted me to tell someone about Him and something told me he was the one. This friend had actually had very spiritual experiences as well though not all good. The devil actually came to him and wanted his daughters soul. The Lord has pulled him from the road to destruction and set him on the right path. Though he is not perfect, as none of us are, we can talk for hours. One thing he perceives is this is "hell". As we don't see eye to eye on every aspect it's ok because I know he is a good person and courageous. Not afraid of any person or to speak what he feels.

Samuel was of the Tribe of Levi

    Preceded by Eli

    Judge of Israel

    Anointed Saul, King of Israel

    Rebuked Saul

    Anointed David, King of Israel

Elkanah lived in the mountains of Ephraim ( 1 Chronicles 6:16-30, 33-37); the Tribe of Levi was assigned to dwell in certain cities that were scattered throughout the tribes of Israel (Book of Genesis 49:6-7; Book of Numbers 35:6)

This is why Samuel could offer sacrifices. Levites did not have land of their own, but were scattered among the tribal allotments. Elkanah's tribal genealogy is made clear in I Chronicles 6:16-27. There the descendants of Levi down to Elkanah are listed. He was a descendant of Kohath, whose descendants were scattered throughout Judah, Simeon, Benjamin, Ephraim, Dan, and Manasseh ( Joshua 21:9-26). Verses 26-27 list the parallel to the I Samuel passage: "... Zophai his son, Nahath his son, Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son" (ESV). To be sure, variant names are given in the two passages: Zophai and Zuph, Nahath and Tohu.

People assume death is the worst thing that can happen to us, but God doesn't look at it that way. Death happens to everyone, so the only factor we get so upset about is the timing. Of course the timing of someone 'leaving too soon' compared to eternity is nothing, like 1 blink of an eye compared to 2 blinks. On earth people have freewill to commit good or evil and many chose evil, even deceived Christians. To someone following Christ there could be nothing better than to be in heaven with God, so death of the body isn't exactly a negative thing. There are many elderly I've met who are excited about the afterlife and they feel very blessed with their life they were privileged to have on earth, but know what comes next is so much better. God also doesn't give us all the answers to everything. We're not robots either. God made Adam and Eve to be immortal, but they sinned and ruined that. So, the world is cursed because of that and people have afflictions like disease, disasters, etc. But in the case of someone exercising freewill to oppress others (commit evil like murder), God will of course will judge to punish injustices, reward victims, and make it fair in the end. That is my personal opinion.

    The 7 years of Tribulation

The seven year tribulation starts when the anti-Christ is able to work out a peace treaty between Israel and her Arab enemies that will permit Israel to rebuild their Temple ( Daniel 9:27).

The first half of the seven years is milder in comparison to the second half when the anti-Christ takes over world power. After 3.5 years, the anti-Christ breaks his agreement with Israel, takes over the newly rebuilt temple, ends the sacrifice and offerings, and appoints himself as god ( 2 Thessalonians 2:4). For more detail, click.

Then everyone on earth will experience worldwide hardships, disasters, famine, hail, fire, water turning to blood, a third of the sun, moon, and stars being struck down, smoke that darkens the sun and the sky, attacks of locusts on those who do not have God's mark, war, pain, and suffering. At this time, over 66% of all human life on the earth will be eliminated before the Second Coming of Christ takes place. For a better description of the horrors, fears, terror, and deaths of the tribulation, read Revelation, chapters 6 through 11.

    God's furious anger against mankind

Starting in Revelation 6, we see the first time since the great flood that God releases His anger against all of mankind. Starting with the seven seals of destruction and death, the seven trumpets of terror, seven angels with seven plagues, and the seven bowls of God's wrath. The timing of these retributions against evil appears to occur during the end of the tribulation.

What is happening in Israel now?

Love brings us into the world. Love takes us to heaven. Write this on a slip of paper to put in their Bible.

    Psalms 116:15

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

These are comments from others who came in here grieving the death of someone they loved:

Tony pinkney on Psalms 116:15 7 yrs agoThis verse is very soothing to my spirit on september 5th 2004. My mother were ushered into. Heaven to recieve her reward. On today september 5th 2013 im still rejoicing in my spirit because I know that she were saved sanctified and filled with. The precious gift of the holyghost.so all I can say thanks be to. God which has given her the victory.God bless you and may he keep you. Timothy Wayne George on Psalms 116:15 8 yrs ago Precious in the sight of Jehovah, is the death of His saints. When the Lord called my father home to glory, from labor to reward, I thought of this verse. My father had been a Pastor for 27yrs, and a minister for 62yrs. He had been preparing us that the Lord was about to call him home. He told me it is appointed unto us to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and also to suffer for Him. As Paul said I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the Faith. What a testimony to give when facing death. God makes all things beautiful in His time. When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be; when we all see Jesus we will sing, and shout the victory!!

JT on Psalms 116:15 8 yrs ago I think this verse means that God is pleased when a Holy Spirit filled believer departs from this earthly life and steps into His Presence.

Mishael: my father was drowning on aspirated food (Alzheimers). An Angel came in the room and said, I'm here to take your Dad. Leave the room. I was gone 3 mins. My Dads face was beautiful with peace and light. That horror was gone. I knew he was with his Lord.

We will see our loved ones again. Have faith. Be strong.

  • Carl Swenson - 4 years ago
    Earl,

You are getting ahead of yourself, and the people living on earth want to know exactly what 7th trumpet you're talking about? That new age philosophy lingo can't transport me to another dimension. I'm sure you can explain your position from a philosophical standpoint, but it's still not a practical position. The remaining trumpets will come and go like clockwork: the beast will defeat Babylon, the Lord will defeat the beast. The end must play out completely to fulfill scripture here on earth.

The prophets saw these things and wrote about them, in their time, in their primal words, but several elements are yet to happen in our realm. Our realm is showing signs of Jonah, we are one attack and an earthquake away from the rusty wire giving way. Jesus told us to watch by day and whole nights for the words of the prophets are being fulfilled. Christians need to watch, and stay diligent unto the 7th trumpet.

    God bless

Brother Richard, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, not having the Spirit.

1 Peter 2:8 ...even to them that stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto they were APPOINTED.

God is assembling a specific group of people in this age. The Priest that are going to rule, reign and judge the rest of the world in the ages to come. If you weren't CALLED (my sheep here my voice) to this glory then you were appointed to wait till the manifestion of the Sons of God. Since it is God's choice and not ours, God want condemn those for eternity that were not chosen to be Priest. They will be judged latter in US and CHRIST.

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building you yourselves on you most holy faith (Christ is our faith), praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jude 1:21 Keeping yourselves (by Christ) in the love of God, looking for MERCY of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (I am the life).

Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

Jude 1:23 And others save (teaching truth) with fear (respect unto God), pulling them out of the fire (Christ judgement in spiritual fire, just as effective as literal fire)(teaching them knowledge of God's plan), hating even the garment spotted with flesh.

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns (Sons of God, power through Christ) which though saw on the beast, these shall hate the whore (unfaithfulness), and make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with FIRE,

Revelation 17:17 For God hath put it in their hearts to fulfil HIS WILL (all men will be saved), and give their kingdom (Christ in you) unto the beast, until the words of God (all will worship God) shall be fulfilled.

    God bless

    Carl,

I never said that 1 Peter 5:13 had anything to do with the Babylonian empire, America, or the end times. Perhaps if you take a closer look at what I said, you will see that I didn't say that at all.

As far as "holes in my spiritual armor," that would be impossible. The armor that I put on at the point of salvation was Christ and there are no holes in Christ that can be penetrated.

Now, can I be in error? Yes, that is possible, and I'm not afraid to admit that. But I do not see the error in my post on that particular piece of scripture.

As far as being popular, I don't see myself as being popular and I am not seeking popularity. I have never been one to seek after recognition or popularity. My reward will come later. If I seek those things here, I have my reward now.

You tell me that "Perhaps I might consider studying the subject before committing to error."

I believe that's a fair request, if you'll also do the same!

  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Revelation 13 - 4 years ago
Brother Richard, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

I know we as brothers and sisters don't agree on all things, Yet. I also believe that God has designed it that way. He said that household would be brother against brother, sister against sister, etc. This is one of those TEST we endure. Flesh reacts with anger or some other similar trait with his brother. Spirit is long suffering and patient, both are works of God that burn wood, hay, stubble, and purify gold and silver.

    1 Corinthians 3:11-13

The Spirit caused me to stop believing in Hell as a place of torture for eternity; because, I can't reconcile it to FIT and not contradict other scriptures.

1 Timothy 4:9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, WHO IS THE SAVIOR OF ALL MEN, specially of those that BELIEVE.

1 Timothy 4:11 These things COMMAND AND TEACH.

I BELIEVE Christ will save the world; although, not all in the age we are in now.

    1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1 Timothy 2:4 Who WILL HAVE (God's will; will be done) all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of truth.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature (creation) ITSELF ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption (death and the grave) into the glorious LIBERTY of the CHILDREN OF GOD.

I BELIEVE this is done in the ages to come after the SONS OF GOD have been revealed.

Romans 8:19 ...Creation WAITETH for the manifestation of the Sons of God.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Since Christ is in us and causes us to LOVE OUR ENEMIES. I think he knows how to judge in righteousness and not torture.

Proverbs 16:6 Through MERCY and TRUTH iniquity is purged....

    Matthew 23:37

Instead of grabbing Jerusalem by the nape of the neck and working him over, God cries, and with tears rolling down His cheeks, longs to see all people saved. This verse shows the closeness of Jerusalem to God's heart. If we all loved Jerusalem as much as Christ does (which is impossible, although we can try) we may be in a better national spiritual condition.

Amen to that comment, the old KJV is all I read also. So many people are trying to argue their way into heaven, fighting over who's right and who's wrong they forget the simple answer is right there in the Word of God John 14:6 (Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.) Very nice comment D W L, God Bless.

Deshawn Thompson Sr ,please dont get distressed about this , you sound like you have read the whole Bible from start to finish ,if you havent i would strongly recommend you do ,try to put aside all of your assumptions and pressumptions and preconceptions about it , i find it very hard to believe that we can loose our salvation because we have misunderstood one or two points in doctrine because i am very aware of how generous God is with His mercy ,remember that when Christ returns he will not judge by the sight of his eyes or the hearing of his ears ,he looks straight into our hearts , its our hearts that we all need to work on ,if our heart is in the right place our understanding will blossom ,much love in Christ . There is no arguement against love .

    Brother Earl,

As I know your views are very spiritual and that is good. Though just on one thing I would like to bring up about "fire". I very much understand God or Christ is a consuming fire and we are tried by fire as gold. To purify us. As in 1 Corinthians 3:13. Matthew 3:11.

Though as I will show you with one verse not ALL fire, to me anyway, is Christ, the Holy Ghost, or God in essence the way you perceive. As this fire would guide us to keep us clean and pure for God's Will.

Of coarse God made fire this just showing it is not always where we want to be.

At the end of Jude. In Jude 1:23 it speaks of how we should "save with fear" some people "pulling them out of the fire". As I think you will agree I don't think it is talking about pulling anyone out of the "fire of Christ". More likely the fire spoken of in Revelation 20:15, Matthew 25:41.

Also in the book of Enoch. Here is a small portion of chapter 108: for their names shall be blotted out of the book of life and out of the holy books, and their seed shall be destroyed for ever, and their spirits shall be slain, and they shall cry and make lamentation in a place that is a chaotic wilderness, and in the fire shall they burn.

I know you and me have gone over this before in that I think you perceive everyone "will be saved" in the end. Which I don't fully agree with but that's ok. Whatever the Will of God is, that shall be. Us being Blessed to be with the Lord Jesus Christ is a priceless treasure.

    God Bless you brother Earl.

    Sacha,

The Holy Spirit issued from God was never a hot debate topic on the boards.

The lack of spiritual clarity shines bright when addressing the saga of "is Jesus God". There are ramifications on either side, muddying who's The Word, who's The Lord, etc.

The uncertainty leaves me empty, without resolve in sight. I have to choose how I want my Jesus to be, knowing I could be misleading myself.

    Jesse,

1 Peter 5:13 has nothing to do with the Babylonian empire, or America, or the end-times. This particular Babylon was a church in Rome. Your deduction shows holes in your spiritual armor, doubly to think you have prophetic scripture in order. I see you are popular. Perhaps you might consider studying the subject before committing to error.

How much of the mystery do you want God to give away so you can understand what His word means? Do you expect God to print that "America is Babylon" in the Bible? No, he makes you figure it out. God has placed clews in plain sight for you to figure it out.

If you can't differentiate between the last 3 trumpet events, know where they fall, I suggest you start assigning events to trumpets. You will see that the 5th trumpet begins tribulation, the 6th trumpet begins great tribulation, and the 7th trumpet ends the mystery.

I know you will find Isaiah through Malachi to include Revelation a hit. It's a sound investment for the future.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 14 - 4 years ago
    Joe Pickett,

Peter wrote in 1 Peter 5:13, "The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.

He says the church that is in Babylon, and that's a cryptic word for the church in Rome where he wrote the letter from, so if the letter got intercepted, the believers in Rome would not be punished.

The United States is never referred to as Babylon.
  • Chris - In Reply on Exodus 23:3 - 4 years ago
Hello Margaret. If you're referring to Exodus 23:3, "Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause", then I'm not sure where you got the "putting on a sad face".

If I read that verse using today's verbiage, I would read it as: 'You should not show partiality to a poor person pleas (as done in legal proceedings) because of his status'. This could happen if the scales of justice are imbalanced when a preference, whether given by a witness or by the system, is shown to one because of his lowly position than to the well-to-do person who could actually be the guiltless one under a fair impartial system. Justice should not show favouritism - Justice must be based on true, verifiable facts.

I don't see any confusion to be had, I believe the bible lays out the Trinity (diety of God) quite plain, also as in 2 Peter it also plainly states, 2 Peter 1:21 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

Mark 10:15 "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."

1 John 5:7-8 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 8 "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."

John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

    Jesse,

I have a few things for you:

    1) The "last week" prophesy is split between a span of 2,000 years.

It's not 7 consecutive years, but 2 prophetic, 3.5 year segments, drawing on each other.

    This is the Order:

-Jesus Christ received the first half of the week during his ministry (3.5 years), THEN,

-At the sixth trumpet antichrist receives the second half of the week (3.5 years) = 7 years total.

-At the seventh trumpet Jesus returns to rule the earth for 1,000 years.

    2) ( 1 Thessalonians 17) "Being snatched away" and other like scriptures is only about the 144K, they are the only ones standing with Christ on Mount Olives ( Revelation 14:4), they are the only ones standing in front of the throne after being resurrected ( Revelation 11:11). The 144K are practically treated like Christ, because they are the bride.

    ( Revelation 20:4-5)

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Do you see how the 144K came out of the great tribulation (saints), and the rest of the dead slept (us)? The first resurrection is solely for the first fruits, who are with Christ for 1,000 years.

    3) The 144K are not Jews, they are Christians of 12 tribes; even the 3 tribes of Judah are Christians worshiping Christ. The 144K are referred to as The house of Israel (Christians), not house of Judah.

The end-time scriptures uncover the mystery of the end, tied in to the OT prophets. The Bible reveals hidden secrets, they're there for the taking. Let me know of any end-time event questions you have, I will be here to help.

I have found that the answer to every problem or condition is in the Bible if it is properly applied.

I can't remember a time when reading the same thing over that I have read many times has been boring or that It wasn't refreshing in the spirit.

The letter kills but the spirit gives life.
