    Ronald,

You can trust a fractured message till kingdom come, but having all the scriptures line up with each other is tantamount to Biblical perfection. You are counting 3 when that is not Bible doctrine. The Holy Ghost is not part of a 3 person trilogy; you can't pour out a "person" Acts 2:17.

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Many people posting here sit on the fence between Jesus being God or not, or a trinity or not. If the Bible's editors, and caretakers had been more diligent and reliable in preserving the Word, this age old confusion wouldn't exist.

Tobit has been in the bible since it was finalised in the first few hundred years by the Church. We cannot pick and choose what books we like or personally believe, in 2021, should be in the bible or not. That is not up for debate; done and dusted many years ago.

Verse 1 In the Beginning God

Verse 2 Spirit of God moved

verse 3 The word of God

    Can you see the difference?

The Spirit and word came from the source God .

    God initiated it .

I know many may not understand, but this is how God himself creates .

He alone decides and then creates , through his word and spirit .

The Spirit and word are sent by God and are of God . But God by himself wills it to be done by his purposes and pleasure. None can resist his will . Getting to know him is so amazing . But you have to get through all the lies that have been set for years . Thank God for the Bible !

2 Peter 2:5, declares Noah to be a "preacher of righteousness". However, we're not told how he communicated God's Message to the people, whether during the building of the Ark ( Hebrews 11:7) or at other times. His soul would have been vexed by the wickedness around him, as Lot's was with the Sodomites ( 2 Peter 2:7,8).

Genesis 5:32 shows Noah's age as 500 years old & then when he was 600 years old ( Genesis 7:6), the flood waters came upon the Earth. And somewhere between that time ( Genesis 6:3) God declared that man's days "shall be a hundred & twenty years". I guess that's how the understanding arose about God's time limit for man to take stock of his remaining days.

This passage is often used to provoke us to witness but in fact it's a sad declaration to the Jews (& specifically to those around Jesus at meal-time). The message of Luke 14:16-24 was an indictment against the Jews about their rejection of God's Message & Provision of salvation. One said in verse 15, "Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God", believing in the special position that only the Jews enjoyed & to be in God's Kingdom. Jesus then went about to show him that that position was now untenable because of their rejection of the Messiah of God.

So, in the parable, the invited guests represent the Jewish people. The Kingdom was prepared for them & Jesus came preaching that the Kingdom of Heaven was near ( Matthew 4:17), but they had rejected Him & His Messiahship ( John 1:11). And of course, all types of excuses were given to discount Jesus' claim & works.

Thus the invitation (of God) went out to those whom the Jews considered as outcasts & unclean (the Gentiles), that we in our miserable state of ignorance of God's Holy Demands, would be given the opportunity to salvation which the Jews despised. As Hosea 2:23 says, "I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God".

Even as Paul declared in Acts 13:46,47, "It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth." We may not all be missionaries in our calling, or standing on street corners warning every man, but we are called to be witnesses of God's Grace reaching out to those who have never heard. In the most part, we as Christians, have failed to be God's Light & Hope in this dark & desperate world.

Hi Jesse, You shared with me once before how the word commandment here in

John 13:34. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

has a different meaning as commandment in other scriptures.

It is the way I learned and was sharing it, But you articulated it very well and I copied and pasted it so I don't forget it. Problem is I forgot where I pasted it.

When you get a chance can you share that with me again?

    Thanks

    Hi Dgjot.

    Listen here at Paul.

1 Corinthians 3:6-7. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

Maybe the World needs a little watering.

I want to make sure to receive this message:

I have a theory that Jesus' 42 months of power ran out just before his crucifixion. Jesus may have died more man than we know, similar to antichrist losing his power at the 7th trumpet to Christ.

Does anyone know the time of day Jesus was baptized, around 3 pm? If, in fact Jesus was baptized at 3 pm, thus beginning his ministry, his time would have expired at 3 pm, 42 months later. So, Jesus on the cross was stripped of his direct power to God. I believe this is one of the reasons why Jesus called out to God for strength before passing, so he wasn't alone.

    Thanks.
  • Jesse - In Reply on Luke 14 - 4 years ago
    Dgjot,

I agree with what you are saying.

Although witnessing Christ to others is a good thing, no one should put a heavy burden on us to do so. There are some who even say that Jesus would have come back by now if we believers were out there "doing our jobs."

It should never be about putting a guilt trip on a believer to get out and do their job so that everyone will be reached.

Besides, John 1:9 tells us that the whole world has already been reached.

The word, the Logos, enlightens every person coming into the world. Every single human being born into this earthly life will be enlightened by God to the truth.

There will not be one person that will stand before God that will ever say "Hey I didn't know anything about it." Here is why. I'll give you three scriptures.

Psalm 19:1-4 says that creation, the language of creation goes throughout the world. There is no language that does not understand the language of creation. And creation speaks of the Creator.

So much so that in Romans 1:19-20, the apostle Paul even says that what is known of God is clearly manifest as God reveals the truth of the invisible God to every person.

Romans 10:18 is a verse people will use to motivate Christians to help support missionary work around the world. Unfortunately some stop at Verse 17 when it says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

"So we have got to get the word of God out there and reach those people."

Except in Verse 18 Paul says, but I say have they not heard? Yes they have. Their sound went out into all the earth and their words unto the ends of the world.

So it's not up to us to reach everyone. In the book of Revelation, we are told of God's plan to reach every single person.

There will be the two witnesses, an angel will be flying around in mid-heaven for 3-1/2 years warning everyone.

And there will also be 144,000 Jews who will be evangelizing and reaching the list. So God has it pretty much covered!

    Thanks Jesse and Earl,

    That reminds me of 1 Corinthians 10:1-2. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

    AND WE'RE ALL BAPTIZED UNTO MOSES in the cloud and in the sea;

I believe the Children of Israel was scared pass thru the red sea, They was ready to go back to Egypt. They went over on Moses faith.

    Thanks and God bless.
  • Part 5 Bema Seat Crowns - 4 years ago
(Look in discussions Room for the other Crowns.)

    5) THE CROWN OF GLORY:

This is the pastor's crown and will be given to the ministers who faithfully feed the flock of God. This probably could also include preachers, teachers, Sunday School teachers, missionaries and all those who teach the Word of God in their respective ministries. This crown may signify the importance and sacrifices of bringing up others into the ways of God. God wants those who are saved to grow and learn as much as they can about Him, His Son and His Holy Spirit and todo that he uses mature believers who are willing to each others. The Bible says,"The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." 1 Peter 5:1-4 God can use you to teach and shepherd others. God shows you the extreme importance that He is placing on those who teach and preach the word. Being willing to teach and educate others after they are saved is one of the greatest things you can do for them this side of heaven.

Crowns received in heaven, will be cast before Jesus' feet. ( Rev. 4:10)

We will lay them down as a tribute to the One who created us, saved us, gifted us, equipped us and lived in us!

Mishael comment: Let's not not get overly excited :D. I have dibs on the back row between John the Baptist and David Wilkerson.
  • Part 4 Crowns of Bema Seat of Christ - 4 years ago
    4} THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS:

To those who love the appearing of Christ, who anxiously wait and look forward to the day when He will return for His saints. This crown is given to those who have lived a good and righteous life for God while living down here on earth. If you are a believer you have been made righteous before God the Father as a result of Jesus dying on the cross for all of our sins. This means that the righteousness of Jesus has now been imputed to you. It also refers to us living a goodand righteous life for God the Father with what time we have left down here. There are Christians who are righteous before God the Father as a result of being saved, called Justification, through the blood of Jesus Christ; but they are not living righteous lives in their actions, words and behaviours, called Sanctification. There are some people that may be saved in God's eyes, but still continue to do evil works that the unsaved would do. We all have our flaws, weaknesses, and certain temptations that we may struggle with. It is not perfection but direction that God is looking for.God just wants each one of us to choose to do the right thing when faced with certain temptations or choices to do something bad. When it is all said and done, these Christians will probably be receiving some of the greatest rewards that God can hand out once they enter into heaven. It says in the Bible,"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:8 To live a righteous life for God will really be worth your while as you will definitely be given this crown by God Himself once you enter into heaven.
  • Part 3 Crowns at the Bema Seat - 4 years ago
    3) THE CROWN OF LIFE:

Jesus says that He will give this crown to those who undergo severe hardship, testing, tribulation and/or physical death on His behalf. Probably being willing to die for your faith in God would be the ultimate sacrifice. It is the greatest actof courage and love that you can show God.Christians who have been martyred for their faith throughout history will not only be given this crown of life, but other rewards once they enter into heaven. The Bible says,"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12 God the Father will honour each ones trials and tribulations and thus will be rewarding them accordingly. Look at this verse,"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Revelation 2:10
  • Part 2 Crown of Rejoicing - 4 years ago
    2) THE CROWN OF REJOICING:

To those who faithfully are witnesses to the saving grace of God and lead souls to Jesus. This crown has also been named the SOUL WINNERS crown. Itindicates here that God will be giving a crown to those who have witnessed toothers and leading people to Christ.Telling others about the grace of God, telling others about Jesus, is the greatest thing that you can do for someone while here on this earth. When you help someone to be led to the Lord, you have just been used as a vessel of God. It says in the Bible,"Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holy and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:" 1 Thessalonians 2:10 God will judge you by your willingness and desire to be used by Him to witness to others, not necessarily on how many actually get saved, because we are to water and He gives the increase.Christians can be used by God to try to lead others to the Lord. God can fit opportunities for you in your life to witness and work for Him if you allow Him to. Some could be your unsaved friends, family members or co-workers, etc. The Bible says it good here,"For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of ourLord Jesus Christat his coming?" 1 Thessalonians 2:19
  • Part 1 Crowns Given at the Bema Seat of Christ - 4 years ago
    1). THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN

This is also called the imperishable crown. This crown is given to believers who faithfully run the race, who crucify every selfish desire in the flesh and point men to Jesus. God calls some people to do things that will require some sacrificein the way they will live and conduct their lives. Some people may be called to be a missionary in a far off and poor country. They will literally be working for almost nothing in earthly terms. They will have to sacrifice the money, possessions and life-style they could have had, if they stayed home in their own country. The Bible says,"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 This verse also implies that these people will also receive this crown for the sacrifices they were willing to make for God to successfully complete the call and mission God had called them to do.Basically run whatever race that God has set out for you and be the best you can be for God. Be willing to make whatever sacrifices there may be to successfully complete the mission that God has set out for you.

    Matthew 25:33-46

33 And he shall set the sheep on his RIGHT HAND, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall THE RIGHTEOUS answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto ME.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on THE LEFT HAND (goats)

Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me NO meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me NO drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me NOT in: naked, and ye clothed me NOT: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me NOT.

44 Then shall they (the goats) also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and DID NOT minister unto thee???

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it NOT to one of the least of these, ye did it NOT to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Comment by Mishael: this is not a call to get all wrapped up into a "Works Only" mentality.

This a means to worship Jesus, and love him. He asks us to do this.

At the Bema Seat, Rewards will be given out to the Believers, by Jesus.

    S Spencer,

Thank you. I also like what Earl had to say about faith where he says that Christ gives us His faith.

The scripture teaches us that faith is a fruit of God's Spirit. Without His Spirit in us, we would only have human faith.

We often hear and read in our English bibles the phrase "faith in Christ" but in the Greek text, it says faith of Christ. It's His faith that He gives us through His Spirit.

It reminds me of the story when Jesus and His disciples were in a ship and it was filling with water and about to sink. Jesus was asleep and His disciples were "freaking out." And I'm thinking to myself, what, is the ship going to sink with Jesus on board?

But when the disciples woke Him up and told Him they were about to sink, Jesus said "Oh ye of little faith."

But what is interesting is that in the Greek text it doesn't say oh ye of little faith. It says oh ye of no faith.

Why? Because the Holy Spirit had not yet come. They had no faith, at least not the faith the Bible speaks of!
  • Adam - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi Perry, are you sure about that? Do you believe that's God's standard- if so, where is your Bible references to back that up- or is that just your own arbitrary standard?

Jesus said no one is good Mark 10:18, so should I believe your standards over Jesus's?

Romans 3:12 is another worth considering.

One of the tactics from satan is to get people to assume they're already good and moral as they are and don't need to make any effort to obey God or Jesus, in fact, many claim they don't need Jesus and certainly don't need to be 'saved'. That is a classic fallacy, which the Bible predicted in advance and already has a clear answer for. It's all in the scripture ready to be read. I believe what God says over what men say.

    God bless...

    Proverbs 11:22

This verse is describing the lack of inner beauty which is a virtuous and discreet character in a woman.

    Appearances verses: Deut. 22:5;

    1 Timothy 2:9 and Proverbs 31:22.

Our inner beauty is important to God. I suggest reading Beautiful in God's Eyes by Elizabeth George.

Ms Doe , the commandment to honour our parents was given to the children of Israel and i believe it assumes that the parents are God fearing and bringing up their children in the fear and love of the Lord ,my parents were violent mentally ill alcoholic atheists ! As far as im concerned God and Jesus are my Father and Mother and i belong to them ,my dad is dead now but my mum still lives and is horrible to me on a regular basis ,she seems to enjoy it so i let her have her fun and just ignore her , she has helped me in so many ways by teaching me patience and calmness and how to ignore unpleasant people and not let them upset me even slightly , Mark ch 3 verse 31-35 , Matthew ch10 verse 34-37 , Luke ch9 verse 59-62 , i thank God for my parents ,they taught me many valuable lessons ,i was aware from a very young age that people are capable of great cruelty for no reason other than they enjoy being cruel and i learnt how to spot these kinds of people quickly and avoid them , i hope you can learn from your parents without allowing them to distress you too much ,its not easy but if you lean on God and Jesus and recognise them as your family who you can trust with all your heart you will be on the right path ,lean on God ,He is your Heavenly Father ,He feeds you clothes you keeps you safe and sane and cheerfull ,may He always do so and may He draw you closer and closer to Him every day ,tell Him how you honestly feel ,He understands your pain and sadness ,He is the very Best Father any one could have ,surrender your heart to Him ,He will keep it safe i promise .

    JENNIFER GAUTREAUX on Genesis 1:1

Giants have been around since time began; they are first described in the Bible in the book of Genesis (6:1-4)

In Deuteronomy 3:11, and later in the book of Numbers and Joshua, Og is called the last of the Rephaim. Rephaim is a Hebrew word for giants.

In 1 Enoch, they were "great giants, whose height was three thousand ells". An Ell being 18 inches (45 centimetres), this would make them 4500 feet (nearly a mile) tall (1350 metres).

The Book of Giants is similar, and most closely relates, to 1 Enoch 7:3-6, a passage which sheds light on the characterizing features of the giants. It reveals that the giants were born of the Watcher 'sons of God' and the 'daughters of men.
