    Evelyn Brown,

Revelation 6: 16 lets you know that the 6th seal, scroll and earthquake, lead into the great and dreadful day of the Lord. The world is about to change for the worse.

Armageddon, as you sighted, occurs at the end, when Jesus returns, as prophesy is complete.

    I hope that helps,

    God bless

Just seeing this now. I myself am not confused, it is just some of your statements are confusing. You posted this " instead of Jesus Christ, the One True GOD,". Stating Jesus Christ is the One True God?

I know Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the image of the invisible God as in Scripture. Also that He is ONE with God as in Scripture. I haven't separated Jesus Christ from the Father who indwelt Him? When did I say the Father and the Son were the same? I never said that and don't believe that. Though they are ONE as with the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7.

I believe it's pretty safe to say that everyone who comes here knows there is ONE GOD.

You also have the freedom to believe whatever you want. I don't know what "fake Christian teachings" since 325 AD you are talking about. The Holy Bible along with the Holy Spirit is my teacher.

If you think you have all of God's mind & ways understood, I'll just say be ready to find out it's much more than anyone can comprehend. If you think you are smarter than everyone else good job. The most important thing to me is to follow the footsteps of Christ and live for the Will of our Father.

It seems there is no reason for us to go any further. As you didn't answer the question about Revelation 5&6 where it is the Lamb(Christ) who takes the book and opens the seals. Though you say the Father does this. Also about what Spirit indwells in us after being saved or your thoughts on the "rapture" with Scripture.

Jesus Christ our Lord died for our sins. I strive to live for our Fathers will and am His for eternity. Galatians 2:20, 1 John 5:10-11, Revelation 21:22-23.

No need to reply if you don't feel comfortable. Thank you for all your time.

    God Bless you John.

    Donna,

That is correct. It is not necessary that a believer attend a church to get into heaven. A person gets to enter into heaven by being born of God's Spirit, not by how often they attend church or if they ever attended.

I'm not saying that church is not important. To me, church is like a spiritual hospital. A believer attends church to be fed spiritually and to fellowship together with other believers.

There is a verse in the book of Hebrews, Hebrews 10:25 that says " Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together."

This is spoken, not to people who have stopped coming to fellowship or don't go to church. It is speaking to people who are continuing to fellowship.

    He is saying don't leave off from assembling ourselves together, as the manner of some is;

You see, some have already dropped out. It is the encouragement for those who are coming, and who are fellowshipping. It's for those who are still coming, who waiver, and every once in a while have doubts and are weak at times and feel like dropping out.

Well, we are to consider one another. Be perceptive about provoking one another to do things that are right in the eyes of the Lord.

And when you sense someone possibly wanting to drop out, it says but exhort one another, encourage:

Without getting too technical, in the Greek text, what that says is that by assembling yourselves together, you are encouraging.

Being faithful to do what the Lord wants you to do, without saying anything, is a ministry of encouragement.

Church fellowship is important, but not required to get to heaven. Jesus commanded us as believers to follow Him. If He is putting it on our heart to go to church, then we go.

    Hi Afrain.

The scripture doesn't say Cain got his wife from Nod. it says he dwelt in Nod and new his wife, nor does it gives the age of Cain and Abel, We know they had produce and animals and most likely families, And Adam and Eve was asked to multiply the Earth, So of course they had daughters, They could have been hundreds of years old and there could have had Thousands on the Earth from Adam and Eves offspring. I believe Cain had his already had a wife before he went to Nod, Either a sister or a niece.

    Genesis 4:16-17.

( And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, )

and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Why would God tell Adam and Eve to replenish the earth if it's already populated?

    I hope this helps

    God bless.

Revelation 16:16 Armageddon is a gathering place for Gog's feuding army. When Gog sees Jesus in Jerusalem, they will come down to the valley of Kidron (valley of Jehoshaphat) where the Lord slays them. The blood will be up to the horses bridle.

  • Wher Did Cain Find His Wife - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 4 years ago
    Genesis 5

3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he (Adam) begat sons and daughters:

As was nothing in Genesis 4 that requires that Cain met people in the land and married into their clans.

We don't know if Cain and Abel had any other siblings at the time of Abel's murder, but we do know from Genesis 5:4, that Adam and Even had other sons and daughters.

It is not at all unreasonable to think that as the population of the world increased they spread out from around Eden into other lands. (NOD). All the members of the first generation would have married siblings or children of siblings. The genetic mutations we are concerned about now would not have been a problem, only after generations would mutations have crept into the gene pool and the danger of close intermarriage (consanguinity) come into being. In the first generations after Adam and Eve, human population would only have increased by FAMILIAL intermarriage.

Mishael comment: the gene pool was so new and strong, that (incest) was able to withstand genetic weaknesses and disease that it causes in our present time.

In fact, it is not until the book of LEVITICUS that we find it forbidden to marry siblings, half sibling and in laws.

Where did Cain find a wife? In the gap between Cain's banishment and Cain's marriage, ( Genesis 5:4). Adam and Eve had more children, probably many more children. We don't know how much TIME PASSED before Cain took a wife, but it's possible that Adam and Eve's children married and had children.

Cain probably married a sister, or maybe a niece. His wife came from the only available population of humans: the descendants of his parents Adam and Eve.

    Hi Margaret.

1 John 5:1-2. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and EVERY ONE THAT LOVETH HIM THAT BEGAT LOVETH HIM ALSO THAT IS BEGOTTEN OF HIM.

(( BY THIS WE "KNOW" that we LOVE the CHILDREN OF GOD, ))

when we love God, and keep his/Jesus commandments.

When we keep "THESE" commandments which is wrapped in Love and empowered by the Holyspirit we "KNOW" WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

In the context of Johns writings its not the 10 commandments.

Here is what's believed to be those commandments.

    1 Thessalonians 5:12-28. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

    Rejoice evermore.

    Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

    Quench not the Spirit.

    Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

    Brethren, pray for us.

Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

    Scott,

    Matthew 24:13

He that keeps the faith to the end, will be saved means just that. At Revelation 11:15 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 it happens. Whether you are a firstfruit, or part of the 2nd resurrection, you endured and will be rewarded.

Blessings, and make the most of the time left.

This partial verse requirement has devastated the Catholic church:

Revelation 14:4 "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth...."

Priests do not have the carnal tools to be saints. Barring priest from marriage creates bondage of urges. Marriage is healthy therapy for life, and not to be forbidden.

Matthew 10:33 - But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Currently there are anti-Christs denying the divinity of Jesus Christ and they can't handle it when they are exposed. Christians should lovingly share the gospel to the lost, including people who assume they're Christians, but aren't. There are so-called Christians who don't believe in Christ attempting to deceive others into believing Christ is just a man and not divine, despite what the Bible says. It seems no amount of sharing the truth from the scripture will change someone's mind, but you can still pray for their soul and for their hearts to become unhard and listen to the truth. Christians should have the full armor of God on and sometimes the truth needs to be spoken directly to penetrate through the lies and deceipt of the anti-Christs. These people denounce Jesus, denounce the trinity, denounce scripture, and reject much of the foundations of Christianity from God's Word. Those who have never encountered the anti-Christs, good for you, but be on your guard, because some lurk even on this website and are probably reading this right now and feeling convicted and a guilty conscience from the Holy Spirit. Speaking the truth from the Bible is probably like heaping hot coals on their heads, Romans 12:20.

Jesus is Lord and God, because the Bible says He is. Your feelings and false assumptions cannot prove otherwise. Have a great day!

My husband has been told that it isn't necessary to attend church as a christian. He said, he believes and is a christian and that's enough to get in to heaven. Is there scripture that pertains to our attendance in the church and what is required of us as christians?
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 1 - 4 years ago
Shirley, that verse could be otherwise read: 'The ungodly will not be able to stand guiltless (or, able to endure) that time of coming judgement'. Likewise, 'sinners won't be able to stand guiltless in the congregation of the righteous'.

The sinner & ungodly person will stand out like 'sore thumbs' when having to stand before their Great Judge, & standing with those who are the accepted of the Lord, those coming with clean hearts & hands.

Sister Evelyn, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

The battle of Armageddon is a battle as real as any battle; yet this battle isn't with natural weapons of warfare. Study Isaiah 9, it's a prophecy about Christ, the kingdom of God, and the battle we fight to obtain the kingdom (CHRIST IN YOU).

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood, but this (battle) SHALL BE with BURNING and FUEL OF FIRE.

Isaiah 9:19 ......And THE PEOPLE shall be the FUEL OF THE FIRE (CHRIST)....( Hebrews 12:29)

Revelation 9:18 By these three was a third part of man killed, BY THE FIRE (CHRIST)( Hebrews 12:29) ....

Ezekiel 5:3 Thou shall BURN a third part in the fire (IN CHRIST) ....

Ezekiel 5:4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the FIRE (IN CHRIST), and burn them in the FIRE (IN CHRIST)....

Isaiah 4:4 When the LORD (FIRE) shall have washed away the filth of the DAUGHTERS OF ZION, and shall have purged the blood of (new) Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the SPIRIT OF JUDGEMENT and the SPIRIT OF BURNING.

Zachariah 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the FIRE (CHRIST) .....

Malachi 3:2 Who shall abide the day of his coming (CHRIST IN YOU)? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiners FIRE.....

Matthew 3:11 ....he will baptise you with the HOLY GHOST and FIRE:

Revelation 21:8 But the FEARFUL, and MURDERS ( 1 John 3:15).....and ALL LIARS shall have their part in the lake that burneth with FIRE (JUDGED IN CHRIST)...

Joel 3:14 Multitude, multitudes, in the valley of DECISION: for the DAY OF THE LORD (TODAY) is near in the valley of DECISION.

    Evelyn,

Revelation 16:16 is speaking of a real battle that will take place.

And he gathered them together into the place which is called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The valley of Megiddo, it's HAR-MEGIDDON. HAR is valley. The valley of Megiddo is what Armageddon means.

And we see that in Zechariah Chapter 14 Verses 2 and 3, and Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39. It talks about this battle known as Armageddon, or the valley of Megiddo.

Much to digest here. Many things can be hard to put into play because we do not remember that everything we have is given to us by God Himself. Therefore if we are willing to be blessed and a blessing for as long as we sojourn on this earth; God is well within His rights to give us precepts, directions, and responsibilities as land owners, entrepenuaers, and any one who has been blessed in any fashion. These instructions are the forerunner of severance pay, early retirement, medical disability, welfare, soup kitchens etc. Notice that none of these areas of assistance for the public welfare was given to the government. It has always been the responsibility of individuals or the people to provide for the needs of others.

Let us learn to keep the whole counsel of God not just parts of it. The complete Bible not just some of the Bible.

Brother Scott, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endue to the END (times), the same shall be saved.

You say the subject is end times and tribulation.

Did the people 1900 years ago have to consider this verse also. Did they died without Christ; not making it to the end times and tribulation. Whats going to happen to you if you die before the tribulation and the end times come. I don't think you understand End TIME and TRIBULATION.

Revelation 22:10 Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for THE TIME IS AT HAND.

    I COME QUICKLY

    Revelation 3:11

    Revelation 22:7

    Revelation 22:12

    Revelation 22:20

    Revelation 11:14

    Revelation 2:5

It has been 2000 year since these words were written; is that QUICKLY, perhaps with more study and more REVELATION, TRUTH would be more clear.

    Hebrews 9:28

    Colossians 3:4

He APPEARS to us now in TRUTH of HIS WORD (written and living, Holy Spirit). At the death of this body of flesh (end time) he shall APPEAR to us to FACE to FACE.

Matthew 24:13, "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

The literal translation from the Greek is, but the one who HAS endured, not the one who will, but the one who has endured unto the end, this one will be saved.

The first thing is, because it is an Aorist Participle, it shows the proof of those who are saved, and it matches the rest of the teachings in the New Testament.

The person who is saved WILL endure to the end. So we have the proof, and secondly, the promise of salvation. That is a promise!

Since the Bible uses a lot of future tenses, some say that salvation isn't here and now, but later. No! that is a promise. You are saved now. And when all this is over, the ones who will be saved are the ones who have endured unto the end.

Salvation is present tense. It is something we have now. All those who have been born of God's Spirit are the ones who endure till the end!
  • David on Deuteronomy 14 - 4 years ago
It is difficult to know the full intent of God without reading, studying, and meditating on His full counsel or the complete Bible. With the correct Biblical mindset, attitude, and love towards my Lord God Jesus Christ, anything I do will be accepted and blessed by Him. He knows my frailties and my shortcomings. I should not limit my decisions to one verse, one chapter, or one book to charter my walk with Him. Or even several verses, or chapters, or books; it must be the whole Word of God. Know the truth and it will set you free. Know Jesus, know life abundant and free from bondage. No Jesus, no life abundance and stuck in bondage.

With the current covid crisis hitting us in almost every area of our lives, it behooves us to turn to a source that will answer our questions, settle our differences, calm our fears, give hope to our future, and comfort our hearts. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can do this. May the Lord bless our leaders both in the civil and ecclesiastical realm of our lives. May we lean completely on the Lord Jesus Christ name. May the hand of the Lord be evident on you and all in your area of influence.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

    John 1:3

"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

God made his son Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 17:5

"While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."

This is my Son -hear ye Him.

    2 Peter 1:17

"For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Jesus Christ was made by God and God was pleased with his son.

    John 14:13

"And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."

Jesus Christ is the WORD and the Word is God.

Jesus and his Father God are One.
