Faithfulness is the nature of God; what He says, what He promises, He stands by it to perform it. He never fails.

Steve, I think you may be thinking of a couple of Scripture portions here. The first one is in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, and the other, Revelation chapter 20. You would need to read right through those chapters if you want to learn the detail of them.

In Ezekiel 38:2-4, the verses are, "Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords".

In Revelation 20:8, "And (Satan) shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea."

These portions speak of the future battle of Armageddon, with the Ezekiel chapters giving much more detail. The only problem however, is that to put Russia into that list of warring nations against Israel, can only be speculation, as those are very old names (Gog, Magog, Meshech & Tubal) that historians have been unable to accurately correlate to our modern nations/cities.

Many are still ignorant with regards to their relationship to the Lord God, Jesus Christ. The difference is simply why and how you live. I trust and obey the Scripture because the Lord saved me unto good works. Ephesians 2: 8-10. The Key is that I am already saved so I work. Why? To show My Lord and Saviour that I love Him. I work because I am saved, Not to get saved

  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 3:30 - 4 years ago
I liked what you wrote brother: "The Jews faith looked ahead. The Gentiles faith looks behind."

And yet, the faith that they (the Jews) should have had 'looking ahead' was lacking in so many of them. So the Hebrews writer could say "For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them (the Israel under Moses: Hebrews 3 & by extension to the unbelieving Jew of the NT): but the word preached did not profit them, not being MIXED WITH FAITH in them that heard it. ( Hebrews 4:2).

And that Gospel, even though unknown at that time under Moses as we know it now, was indeed the Gospel, since it had its roots in the sacrificial performances that pointed to Christ Who fulfilled them as God's appointed sacrificial Lamb. Yet those sacrifices (& God's Word) did not profit them because of their lack of faith, just as the Sacrifice of Jesus has no profit to anyone who comes to Him without faith.

Thank you for those added thoughts, brother.

    Fili Chu Ling,

We don't know what those seven things were because John did not write them down.

It says, And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write it down: That is, write down what they were saying.

And I (John) heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

So John wasn't allowed to write down what the seven thunders said.

This also tells us ways in which God works with us. He doesn't tell us everything because we're not ready for everything.

Jesus told the disciples that there are many things I have to say to you, but you don't understand them now.

God chooses not to reveal things to us at times because we're just not ready for it. And here's God telling John to seal up that which you heard.

Hello Marie. These verses can be confusing as we are not given a lot to work with to get a full understanding. We can see that in verse 11 ("the LORD spake to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend"), that Moses is describing the close presence of the LORD in the Tabernacle as opposed to God's Words coming to him from a distance (i.e. from Heaven) or as how the prophets received God's messages for the people. And this 'closeness' is representative of a friend speaking to a friend intimately, which requires both close proximity & maybe a hushed conversation.

And then we read something of their conversation (vv 12-17) before Moses, in that intimate meeting, then begs: "shew me thy glory." To which the LORD replies that He will make all His Goodness (also referred to as His Glory v22) pass by him. It appears that Moses has been transported away from the Tabernacle, into a rock's cleft, so that God's Glory may pass by him, revealing His Glory in Spirit, yet Moses being prevented from seeing the Face of God. We are not told why seeing God's "back parts" & not God's Face is so different that can warrant Moses' demise - but that's what it is.

The lord jesus that i know never gives up on you... do not give up hope as nothing can separate you from the love of god - we are in the family of god by faith in christ jesus. but we have to be sorrow for our sins and repent before the throne of grace... godly sorrow for our sins is true repentance...we are saved by our faith by trusting in him and when we truly, sincerely, honestly come to jesus with a broken and contrite spirit and heart he will forgive us and we are born into his family and become a child of god...fit for the kingdom of god. the lord came into the world that sinners might be saved. he is no respecter of persons and leaves no one out. we are required to seek him with all our heart mind, soul, body and strength. when we do he comes in to make his abode in our hearts - your life will completly be changed - you will never be the same! it is called being born of the spirit of god which transforms us into his marvelous light. baptism in water is also very important. after true repentance the word of god teaches us to be buried with him in baptism which is a good conscious towards god and for our sins to be remitted and cast into the sea of forgettfulness, never to be remembered anymore! glory, glory, glory! be baptized in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. it is a promise to you and as many that are afar off, even as many as the lord our god shall call. ye shall receive power to become the sons and daughters of god even to them who believe on his name - so repent, be baptized according to acts 2:38, receive the holy ghost by faith thru obedience and then continue to seek him with all your heart and you will grow in grace and the knowledge of the lord as the scriptures will become clear and the understanding of his word will also come as faith comes by hearing the word of god! remember, jesus said he that comes to me i will in no wise cast out. you will speak with a new tongue and receive po

Jesus said before Abraham was I am . And that's because Jesus is the Son of God , and God Is before the foundation of the world So is Jesus . Yet He was not born a man until 2000 +yrs ago .

It's plain to me that God himself spoke for himself until Jesus was born , then God said this is my son listen to him . At the baptism of Jesus .

Jesus is the express image of God . But that's as close as we can get . Jesus never said I Am God not once . Why because it would be not true , he always referred to God as father , not taking the fathers place . Yet He was equal in many ways yet less than the father by his own words . My father is greater than I . And the father gave him all things , Jesus Did not have those things until God gave them to him . Not hard to understand.

I think Cain just chose evil, like so many do. Everyone has freewill to choose. And most will choose evil and will go to hell. That's the sad reality. Jesus died for you and many don't respect or value that and when they sin its like slapping Jesus in the face and makes a big statement. I don't believe Cain is from Satan. I think he was just a human with freewill like everyone else who will go to hell for his stupid worldly decisions.

Children are a blessing without end, if we raise them like God raises us up. I loved my Own Dad no matter what happened. He sat down with me every time and explained Why he had to correct me. I was never frightened of my Dad. I knew he loved me. He allowed me to push the boundaries but then pulled me back into the protection of the family circle. Does that make sense?

He showed us from the Bible that his corrections were Biblical. God expects parents to lead the children (not the opposite). We lead, as only we follow. Jesus calls to us, Follow Me.

Patience and purpose of the Lord, leads us through kid raising. I remember firm hugs, as many as I needed. There is power in a hug!

This year on Fathers Day, give your Dad a big hug. Thank him for being a leader. Hugs erase a multitude of mistakes.

I've been blessed all of my life. At age 5, God began showing me what He was like. What he liked, barely tolerated (lol), and how the world works: love, hate, apathy, good fellowship, being part of a church, community. He saved my life many times from death on a farm. I was into everything.

We can be as close to God as we desire. Talk to Him.

  • S Spencer - In Reply on 2 Timothy 2 - 4 years ago
    Hi Charles,

    Answers to both your questions.

Genesis 3:20. And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Genesis 4:1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

    Pretty Direct.

Brother Judge, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, SEAL NOT the prophecy of this BOOK: for the TIME IS AT HAND.

These words were written 2000 years and THE ANGEL said; the time is at hand, to me that means NOW, not 2000 or more years down the road. Otherwise; the book would have been seal to a latter date as in Daniel's time.

The BOOK is the REVELATION OF JESUS; everything that happened to him and all that was accomplished by HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION.

HIS WORKS that has set us FREE by becoming one with him.

    Hi Douglas.

To add to what Brother Chris has given,

Romans 3:30. Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the "CIRCUMCISION BY FAITH," and "UNCIRCUMCISION THROUGH FAITH."

Romans 3:19-20. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

I believe the Jews "BY FAITH " placed there faith in their offerings which pointed towards The Lord, "The sacrifices itself shows you couldn't keep the law."

The Gentiles place their faith on what has taken place, CRUCIFIXION. Jesus came to fulfill all those sacrifices.

    The Jews faith looked ahead.

    The Gentiles faith looks behind.

Romans 3:24-25. Being justified freely by his grace "THROUGH" THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS:

    Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation "THROUGH" FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, TO DECLARE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God;

Ephesians 2:8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

    GOD BLESS
