I did not say we should not repent our sins. Of course that's what we as Christians should do on a daily basis, because we see sin everyday and we try everyday not to live according to the works of the flesh by crucifying ourselves daily to the cross. Evidently, in Revelation 2 when Jesus is talking to church of Thyatira, He tells them He knows their works and their patience, charity etc and He tells them to repent OF THEIR DEEDS and those deeds happen to be sins.
So He tells them to turn from "teaching and seducing His servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols." v.20 and Jesus gave them a chance to turn from fornication to not fornicating but they did not.
When Jesus told some people, "...sin no more..", He basically is telling them to repent of their sins, because "sin no more" implies that they were "sinning" and so they are to turn from " sinning, to no more sinning"
The parallel verse to the verse you put - Matthew 4:17- is Mark 1:14-15 and it says, Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
BELIEVE THE GOSPEL
Repenting and confessing are two different things. Confession is admitting you are a sinner( 1 John 1:8-9) but repentance, as I have stated earlier, is "to turn from something...." You say, "It is an unusual position to claim that repenting doesn't mean repenting of sins. In this context what else would someone be repenting of?" But looking at the bilbe, God repented more than anyone else. So if you are asking "..what else would someone be repenting of, if not sins" then I would ask you, did God sin so that He can repent? The problem is we associate repentance with " repenting of sins" and that's not the case. Even Hebrews says this:
Hebrews 6:1-3
"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit."
Did the author say Repentance from sins? No! He said "repentance from dead works"... We cannot just add "...of your sins" in front of every "repent" word...
The Bible does not say devils believe so they will go to heaven. Romans 10:9 says - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I have never read anywhere where devils confessed with their mouths that God raised Christ from the dead, and even more so, devils cant get saved because it's to late for them - Jude 1:6 - Hitler, Stalin there is no evidence to suggest they got saved because of Matthew 7:14-20
Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.
Job 31:15
Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
Psalms 22:10
I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.
Psalms 22:9
But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
Psalms 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Psalms 58:3
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Psalms 139:13
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
Luke 1:42
And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. (Speaking of Jesus)
Isaiah 49:1
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels (uterus) of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
Ecclesiastes 11:5
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who makes all.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Matthew 19:12
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs by men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive.
Hope you find it in here. Mishael
Briefly, to answer your last comment: the way the Bible speaks about creation & that God rested after He completed His Works, is simply just that: a special day different from His other six days of creating & so it was set apart (sanctified) as that special day. To this special day, God had, with His other commandments, prescribed to His special chosen people, Israel. Was it given to anyone else? No. And not only did the Gentiles not receive any commandment from God, neither was the Church under any compulsion to be brought under them (i.e. the Gentiles didn't have to become Jews first before receiving Christ's salvation).
As well, to note, I've never claimed Sunday to be the new Sabbath. Sunday was simply a day chosen by the NT Church to worship God through His Son & not connected to the Sabbath (rest day). If they chose any other day, I would easily comply, even if it was a Saturday. Or even if my Fellowship changed it to a Wednesday, that too would be fine. To me, Sunday is not Sabbath - just an ordinary day set aside to worship the Lord in fellowship with His children. And the coming Antichrist will demand worship of him, not necessarily on a Sunday as no Scripture indicates or supports that theory. Thank you for your time. God bless.
You can ask someone from your Church to pray over them to escape the waste can.

Is the theory once saved always saved correct?and can you please explain salvation to me what does salvation mean?and can it be lost.
I think the verse you may be looking for is Psalms 139:13. It does not use the word knit in the KJV, but I did a side-by-side comparison with other English bibles on that verse and I found 23 other versions that use the word knit.
One would be the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) which reads "For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother's womb.
I hope this helps you!
In 1 Peter 4:18, it says, "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
The word "scarcely" in the Greek text is a word that means difficulty. Jesus said that we would go through trials and difficulties as believers. What this is saying is that if the righteous are saved with difficulty accompanying them, not that it's difficult to get saved, but once we're saved, difficulty accompanies our salvation, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
I mean if we're going through hard times and we're saved, wow, wait 'til the sinner comes under the judgment of God. They won't even be found!
Unfortunately, many misunderstand what being saved by grace means.
Yes, there is nothing we could do to save ourselves. Jesus had to die for us to save us. However, we have to repent of our sins and believe (or trust) in Jesus Christ as God's means of removing our sins and saving us. Repenting means that we tell God that we are sorry and that we no longer want to live in sin.
But, once saved, a person must keep himself in God's love.
Jude 1:21 "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide (remain) in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide (remain) in his love."
We also need to walk in the light if we are to have the blood of Jesus wash away our sins.
1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
The apostle Paul fought a good fight to remain in God's love and thus could receive the crown of righteousness.
2 Timothy 4:7, 8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Perhaps, an example could help.
A man kills another man. He will be executed. The judge has mercy on him and tells him he will free him if the man repents and promises to not repeat his act. The man agrees. The man was freely forgiven as an act of grace and mercy. There was nothing he could do to save himself. But, now, he must keep to the terms and not kill again. If he does, he will be executed.
Philippians 2:12 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
I bid you a good day.
Thank you.
Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
I call it 'Conversion' and the best description of that is found in Matthew 16:24-28
24 "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
". . . follow me." At this point there are only 1555 characters left so I will just say, 'follow me' is the beginning of a journey, not the end. I have found examples out side the Bible that fit well.
"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there." Will Rogers We follow Jesus on His path, We keep his teachings not by anything we work at, but by the gift and power of the Holy Ghost which is the final step of conversion.
John 14 The outline I use is"
Jesus Comforts His Disciples (1-6)
Oneness with the Father (7-15)
Role of the Spirit (17-31)
My first sermon used the Role of the spirit.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence. (KJV)
31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father, [d]I do exactly as the Father commanded Me. Get up, let us go from here. (ASV)
When I read it is from the king James Version. The language is modern enough to be understood, but old enough to remind me of the Majesty of God.
I do refer to the (NASB1995) for present day language on many occasions.
I do look forward to reading your comments. Thank you and Bless you.
