I can relate as I just found out today that a family member came out as gay and the parents (Christian) seem to be supportive of it. I was sickened when I heard about this. People are being deceived into adopting the evil world's version of morality over God's. There is nothing natural about sodomy or the twisted perverted sex that gays have. It violates the beautiful way God designed us and is like slapping Him in the face. Hell is a real place and most people will go there. I think many will assume they're 'saved' Christians, but will be surprised and cry out Lord, Lord in the end. People will then realize their folly of disregarding God's laws and their blind following of the world's values instead. The world will lie and deceive and claim Christians are bad for denying people who they can 'love', which of course is an intentional deceptive logical fallacy. God commands us to love others. It's the evil twisted dirty disgusting perverted unnatural sex that God despises and judges accordingly. So, I think if someone wants to go to hell then violating God's commands is probably the fastest way to accomplish that. But I really hope people wake up and start trying to avoid that place. It's not works, but grace we're saved, but to be an actual Christian you must put effort into following Jesus if you want any hope in the afterlife.

I have been struggling with the fact that parents who support and align themselves with their children's sins are losing their own spiritual connection with God. If you tell them their sin is ok and you even support it, you will face judgment for that. If any believers have a few words on this subject I would be grateful.

Sorry, but I do not believe your answer, answers my question. Is a person's job a reason to break one on God's Ten Commandments, written by God, not Moses, on tables of stone? In Exodus 20:8-11, God specially states that the Sabbath (Saturday to us) is His Holy Day, "The Sabbath is My Holy Day"....

My brother the tithing system is not done away with. In Malachi it states can I man rob God. yes in tithes and offering. God also states if we return said he will open the windows of heaven and pour blessings on us. What a promise only if we are faithful will we receive this blessings.

    Dear Melvin,

That's great that you want to please God and put Him first.

I don't think of work as serving a master, but just fulfilling responsibility. You are responsible to take care of yourself and if you have a family. Jesus worked as a carpenter. Work can certainly take over one's life and become a master, an idol, or false god, just as a relationship can, eating, sleeping, movies, addictions, vices, etc. We must keep ourselves in check and balance, but to love ourselves and love others we do have responsibilities to provide food, shelter, clothing to ourselves and if you have a family. You can find Biblical support for that. It's helpful to set time limits as boundaries to ensure something like work doesn't become #1. God bless.

I'm a born again christain but I desire to start a successful business. I read the word everyday but I find myself thinking about how to start a business constantly. Is this wrong? Am I trying to servrve two masters? I want to put CHRIST on the throne of my life. But I also want to be successful in this one. Is this wrong?

Do you have a easy way my to memorize the books of the Bible? I got the first 7 impeded in my mind. I'm working on the next 7 to 10.

I just wondered if there was an easy way that you could recommend that I could memorize them.

I'm born again and do attend a good KJV Bible teaching church.

    Thanks

  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on Psalms 119 - 4 years ago
I looked into this for you Mary,

Psalms 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible being 176 verses. It is divided into sections using the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. In which the first letter being Aleph then ending with the last letter Tau.

Hope that answers the question about those words you see in that chapter.

    God Bless.

Good day my brothers Earl and Spencer,

As I would like to put my perception on "Heaven". I myself believe Heaven to be an actual place. Not just in us as stated in Luke 17:21. As we are the tabernacles of God where He dwells when we receive His Holy Spirit. Even as God is life and in everything weather Blessed to receive the Spirit of Christ or not. Job 34:14-15.

The Holy Bible is a spiritual book though many, many, things are literal not just spiritual. God's wisdom is so divine that almost anything may be taken in both ways. For maybe a reason God knows why.

Some things to consider I find fascinating. How both Enoch and Elijah were literally taken up by God in there human bodies and never saw a physical death. Genesis 5:24, 2 Kings 2:11-12. I believe Elisha literally saw a chariot of fire. In the book of Enoch there are amazing things we truly cannot comprehend.

14:8 A vision thus appeared to me.

14:9 Behold, in that vision clouds and a mist invited me; agitated stars and flashes of lightning impelled and pressed me forwards, while winds in the vision assisted my flight, accelerating my progress.

14:10 They elevated me aloft to Heaven. I proceeded, until I arrived at a wall built with stones of crystal. A vibrating flame surrounded it, which began to strike me with terror.

Paul stating about a friend with a vision in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4. That he could not fully explain.

Also that Jesus Christ in His glorified body( Luke 24:39) was able to appear and disappear. Also He was taken up into the clouds Acts 1:9-11.

Fully understanding Heaven we are not to able. It is so beyond us it could be anything as nothing is impossible with God.

I could go on and on about this but would be a very long conversation. Maybe just adding some people with NDE's having out of body experiences, in the spirit, able to testify of things going on when they were dead. Seeing their own bodies of flesh before them. Being taken up to be in the presence of the Lord.

    Glorious

  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 4 years ago
    Hi Timothy,

How do we know He isn't real if we have no proof He isn't?

The fact is you exist. So do I. Your heart beats for no apparent reason. Nothing scientific makes that muscle to continue to expand and contract creating electricity and pumping in a perfect rhythm matching the energy needs, and doing so for 75+ years. The smartest minds on earth don't know how to make it. No one knows how to create life. And the heart is part of a brilliantly designed interconnected system that allows capabilities and features beyond the imagination.

If you see a painting you know there's a painter, if you see a building there's a builder, but if you see something even far more amazing and complex in its design it wasn't made by designer? It it likely a random explosion from nothing designed it, not just once but also in ideal pairs (male/female), also with food (trees/plants). This doesn't follow the scientific method of ever being witnessed or being reproducible and it violates the 2nd law of thermodynamics, because order always goes to disorder, not the opposite.

So, I think deep down when you look at the amazing creation including ourselves we know we're designed and it would take way more faith to believe everything was accidentally designed from nothing and for no reason instead of intentionally designed by a designer.

Imagine a Tesla model S with all its features creating itself. No one would believe that- that's silly. But strangely, people love to believe a human body with even more advanced features is possible, not only that, but in pairs, and also with food, even though such as thing has never been witnessed. 3d vision, video, DNA code in every cell, touch, feel, smell, taste, anti-drowning, water resistant skin, water cooled, heat generation, reproducible, efficient and compact plumbing and electrical system, heals itself. Only adapting to climate is a feature of amazing design, not evolving. No animal has ever evolved into another kind of animal.

Romans 1:19-20. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

FOR THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM FROM THE CREATION OF THE WORLD ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, even his eternal power and Godhead; ""so that they are without excuse:""

We're without excuse. Even without having seen him, even if there were no bible, God's creation declares something skillful and divine has happened.

    continue later. Thanks

    Timothy.

The proof is in his creation,

His Glory is in his handywork.

That's what Romans ch 1 is all about.

I'm at work, Maybe someone can elaborate on it further, If not I will later.

    Thanks, and good day.

Chacha Dean - In this life we can get by leaving things off/out sometimes. But when we are talking about the WORD we can't take from or add to, to do so will get our part removed. When my wife makes bread she uses more than flour, she adds salt, baking powder, milk, eggs. Don't let tradition cause us to leave out all the word.

Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

If JESUS says to do something we better do it ( If you love me keep my word - commandants)

Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! (for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin), and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done (judgment, mercy, and faith), and not to leave the other undone (judgment, mercy, and faith). So yes Jesus said pay tithe, On the cross he said it is finished, can't add or take away. He has spoken to us by his word we should heed his word not wait to see if we feel like it.

But, when she comes around or call him, you can feel the darkness and she fusses at him like he's a child! And eventually he goes back home to her and in returning home he feels sick to the stomach and under happy!! He be in so much pain!! Please pray for him that he gets away from that demon before it's too late!!

    Hi Chacha,

    Salvation comes before sanctification.

In that regard I believe you're right.

If a person is to come to the Lord he comes as a sinner.

No man can clean himself up are atone for 1 sin. It's the Holyspirit that Position us in Christ and turns us from our sins. We can't and want do it.

The call to repentance in the Gospels is to mostly come out of Judaism,

Let me be clear!! We are asked to repent from all sin, but not as to initiate Salvation.

The repentance here seen in Revelation Ch 3, The Lord is talking to the Churches, "THEIR SALVATION HAS ALREADY BEEN SETTLED, GOD ONLY CHASTEN HIS OWN.

Revelation 3:19 (KJV) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

    THANKS
