    Goodmorning Earl,

I agree we should all be in harmony, after all we're taught by the same Spirit, We may differ in some things but THERE ARE FUNDAMENTALS WE WANT.

It's a danger in studying the Bible all your life to prove a viewpoint and not letting the word say what it says, You begin to spiritualize ""ALL"" the text. And you will soon leave the truth.

Earl I think that's what you have done,

I've read quite a bit of your replies,

One can spiritualize and symbolize the scripture and twist it into saying almost anything.

I pray you come to better hermeneutics.

    May God bless you.

    Goodmorning Lee.

    Here's my direct quote.

"Ch 4:1 you see he's called up to heaven."

    Here's the verse.

Revelation 4:1 (KJV) After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, ( COME UP HITHER, ) and I will shew thee things which must be HEREAFTER.

Hereafter means the things he mentioned in ch 2 and 3.

COME. UP. HERE. This is not Heaven in you, it's a Location.

John is taken to the future tense and there is the 24 elders and the Lamp stand that was the Church in Ch 1.

Revelation 5:10 . And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

    They sung a song-

    They have been redeemed,

    They're in white raiment,

    They shall reign on earth,

    And John saw them.

This is just answering the 24 elders question.

    God bless you Lee.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This opportunity as a servant of Christ, is unequal to anything that exists in heaven or earth! The power of God rests on those who's mind is in Him! Jesus the Christ! This power rises above all principalities and powers in heaven and earth, conquering the future! Even eternal life!

Servitude is an arguable aspect when you consider the dependency of a job and the financial burden placed when its lost. This is not the same thing. When you remove that financial burden, that occupation is now a choice. There is no contractual requirement.

Don't forget, women are servants forever. In addition, you can purchase a woman from the father or guardian and force them to be your wife. The crazy part is, this still exists today in other cultures. They are not forced, but if declining means you are disowned and put on the street and a dishonor to your family... its a more difficult situation as it includes the financial burden as above, but it also includes an emotional component of losing communication to your family which cant be easily remedied.

The "great viewpoints" in this chapter was that it did provide more rights than before. If no one told them that they couldn't own a male slave for 10 years, they would have... Granted, that notion was lost at some point until slavery was abolished.

REPENTANCE NOT NEEDED FOR SALVATION - ONLY BELIEVING

You can believe what you want to, but here are some more scriptures that you have left out? Matthew 3:2 ( And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.)

    Luke 13:3

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

    Matthew 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Acts 17:30

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

    Revelation 3:19

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Acts 3:19

    Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

There is a lot more! Matthew 5:19 (Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.)

To Janet, I believe anytime we fill that we have done wrong; bad thoughts, saying something bad about somebody, or anything that would hinder us from getting closer to our Lord, we should repent. If it takes 1 or a thousand times A DAY, that's what we need to do. James 4:17 (Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.) God bless and thanks for writing back.

Well Bill, you've stated your point with some strong language. I see that you clearly condemn Esau in what he did, by selling his birthright - and I agree that was very wrong for him to do such a thing. And then you placed the deception on Esau by him not telling his father Isaac what he had done with his birthright. Yes, I can see that also. And then you wrote further on his misdeeds.

And you think that Rebekah & Jacob did no wrong in all this? Are we reading from the same Scriptures? Where was the brotherly love of Jacob when seeing his weakened brother beg him for food? Even the vilest person this day will have some compassion for his siblings. What did he do? He took advantage of Esau's physical predicament to trade food for his birthright. And if this is not enough for any to cringe with amazement & anger, we read further in Genesis chapter 27 of Rebekah & Jacob's further sins. Sins of deception & lies that lay in their hearts.

Esau well said in verse 36, "Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing." And yes, Esau was equally to be blamed for his loss. But the Plan of God had to come to pass ( Genesis 25:23, "And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger."). In spite of God's Plan, man is still accountable for the conduct of his life and he will not be held guiltless for his sins.

So, are you 100% sure that repenting is a 'false doctrine'?

    Acts 2:38 - repent

    Luke 13:3 - repent

    Acts 3:19 - repent

    1 John 1:9 - confess

There's even a page showing a whole list of verses on repenting:

    Link

So, how do you reconcile what you're claiming with these verses that clearly say to repent and confess?

The Bible already predicted someone would assume what you did and already answered it:
James 2:19 - believing isn't enough. Even satan and demons believe. Do you think satan and demons will be in heaven? Most will go to hell as scripture says, even Christians. Many will cry out Lord, Lord and will be shocked they won't make it, because of how self righteous and justified they feel.

    God bless.
  • Adam - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 4 years ago
There's many verses that show once-saved-always-saved is an unbiblical idea often used by Christians to feel better about them enjoying committing sin. But all someone needs is one verse to see that the belief contradicts itself- that is the unforgivable sin of blasphemy of the holy spirit Matthew 12:31-32. Someone who believes OSAS probably has a hard time with this verse, because it clearly says it's unforgiveable. Unforgiveable means no grace, which means not saved. So, to believe in OSAS someone must believe that Christians either don't have freewill, which isn't possible, because it would contradict other scripture, or that Christians could commit the unforgiveable sin, but somehow don't. They often say, if they do, then they're not 'true Christians'. But then you ask who is a 'true Christian' then- is giving your life to jesus enough? Do you have to go forward on an altar call at church? If you don't ever know who is a 'true Christian' then how can you know if anyone is ever saved? So, quite quickly the OSAS contradicts itself.

The Bible doesn't support OSAS. If someone commits their life to Christ, sins no more as Jesus said, and genuinely follows Jesus, then they are saved by grace and can even have assurance of salvation. But confidence in salvation doesn't mean someone is instantly saved and have a license to sin and have fun in the world, commit mass murder and do whatever and still be saved, as some assume. That behavior is contradictory to the Christian lifestyle. You must give up your life of sin- obey God. Many Christians do turn their back on Jesus and denounce the faith, unfortunately.

Some Christians assume they have a get out of hell pass and can sit back and do whatever feels good. That's from the devil. We are not of this world and are called to be different- a light. Also salvation isn't granted until after judgment day, not during this life as some assume. And no one goes to heaven until they're judged first. Keep the armor of God on and run the race well to the end as Paul said. Remember Jesus's many parables about few making it.

REPENTANCE NOT NEEDED FOR SALVATION - ONLY BELIEVING

Dear readers, I have heard lots of sermons that teach that one must repent to be saved. I believe this is a false doctrine because NOWHERE in the whole Bible does anyone teach it. All the Scriptures teach is just believing:-

But what does the Bible actually teach about salvation and about repentance? Here are a few verses:-

    John 1:7

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

    John 1:12

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

    John 6:29

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

    John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    Acts 15:11

But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

    Acts 16:31

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

    Romans 3:22

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

    Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

REPENTANCE IS: TO turn from what you were doing wrong to doing it right. Its actually more of a turning. And repentance does not necessarily mean "repent from your sins". In fact in the Scriptures, God repented more than anyone else. Does that mean He is a sinner? NO!! He turned from doing what He wanted to do at first! e.g

    Jonah 3:9-10

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

In all kindness. Like stated if you think that shall do better please do it.

So even though "hel" and "hell" sound exactly the same when you say them now it's down to how you spell the word? Not how it sounds? As stated this to me would be going down a rabbit hole.

About the story of the "rusty bones" do you think the mother was putting some curse on the child or something by saying that? My father used to tell me eating the crust of bread would give me curly hair. Obviously not true. To think that mans knee problem had anything to do with what his mother told him is pretty much a long shot. I'd probably start asking about the mans life. I know many people who have bad knees and are still in their thirties. Along with older who have had knee replacements. It's not because of what their parents told them either.

One thing I was thinking about sharing with you was my grandmother. I used to always wonder why she never replied back to me after I told her I loved her. Though I cannot imagine having a more loving, precious, grandmother than her whom I was blessed to have. She did not have to say she loved me every time I saw her. I truly don't have one memory of her where she did not have a smile on her face and was so loving and caring toward me. She was such a good person and I know she is at peace with God now. She probably knew that saying "I love you" too much would get old and she didn't need to say it. I know she loved me dearly by who she was. Not her saying it.

As I will not use the word you don't like here anymore only for you. Not that it will do any difference though like I stated I am only thinking of you.

And maybe to make you feel better know that when I say "that word you don't like"(which I still use as there is no wrong to it) it sounds like "hallo" with smiles.

Showing our love toward one another in deeds in life is very much more important than just words. 1 John 3:18.

    God Bless you Sam.

Wow that post must be a year old. I used to cut Benny a lot of slack because after I was saved out of the occult (1985), I had so much warfare. I was fearful to sleep, so I got really sick. I needed to get milk for the kids so the Lord got me in the car. To shorten the story: I bought 2 books I couldn't afford and get milk. One book was 1.00 and the other 2.00; milk 1.85 :D

I had need of knowing what was going on in my home. It was full of demons. I got back in bed and read Bennys book. I realized what my problems were! Then I read part of Angels by Charles Capps. I got out of bed and exercised my baby christian faith; ordered the demons to leave! And asked for angels to guard the 4 corners of my house. Then, I was able to sleep!

I know what people say about Benny Hinn, but his book saved my life. I've only heard Jeff Fenholt testify demons levitated his bed too; when he was sleeping in it. I'm leaving out the other details. Too scary.

Also, I know Benny teaches a form of Old Earth theory, concerning satan, demons, etc. I do not support that theory at all.

They must obey the Authority of Jesus Name. I only study a King James Version Bible and a Strongs Concordance.

I asked the Lord about the Old Age Theory. The Holy Spirit took me to Genesis 1:1. If God wanted us to LEARN pre-Adamic happenings, God would've included a Book in the Bible. It was omitted because the entire Bible focuses on one person: Jesus. His genealogy, birth, life, death and resurrection; the Book of Revelation.

Genesis 1:1 blows Old Age Theory out of sight when God SET TIME IN MOTION. In beginning...

(In Hebrew language there is no "The".

The first verse explains the 4 unanswered questions scientists have tried to explain throughout mans history: Time, Force, Action, Matter.

I'm sorry, but I do not dig in Christian books. I only use the Bible. I learned to read it slow to find the answers.

    Hi Jack,

In Matthew 24 Jesus describes events before, during and after the sixth trumpet, 42 month great tribulation. The verses are mystical, interwoven magic. People confuse, or conflate the sixth and seventh trumpets, but there are differences.

( Matthew 24:36) states that no man knows the time of Jesus Christ's triumphant "seventh trumpet" return, but the Father.

Only God knows when the seventh trumpet will sound on Mt Olive, and the mystery of God will be over.

God reveals the season and time of day of the sixth trumpet Mystery Babylon attack revealing the man of sin:

( Jeremiah 15:8-9) The spoiler at "noonday", when the sun is high in the sky; 3pm.

    11pm ( Luke 21:20-24)

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for you comments!

We as true Christians have the Love of The Spirit of Christ in us, so even if we say "Hello" all day long, we still have that Spirit of Love within us to show love and be love.

However, the sinners, the people of "the carnal world" are not like that.

They do not have "The Holy Spirit of Love" in them, so by default they follow the deceitful desires of their carnal mind, and with little or not resistance.

All the good things that carnal men and women do in the world is because of The Holy Spirit compelling them in certain areas to do good.

So, for carnal men and women to accept a new greeting like "LoveO" as a default greeting, this certainly over time can also use that to help change their mindset and way of thinking so they show more love and less hell!

Also a far as names go, "hel" is NOT the "Hell".

I personally know of a Christian Pastor who when he was very young and also throughout out his adult life, his mother use to tell him that he had "rusty bones". He offered absolutely no spirtual resistance to those negative words his mother spoke over him for more than 40 years.

So guess what happened to him? Before he was even 60 years old, he had to get surgery for both of his knee caps replaced. Why? You guessed it!....because of "rusty bones". The cartilage thinned on his bones out and over time the wear and tear caused his knee caps to became unusable.

So, anytime you can speak words of healing, love, and life into the mix of your everyday life, and over someone else, do it, because it is the right thing to do it, and it benefits both the sinners and the saints.

    Hi Rob,

I don't think anyone here has ever said Jesus Christ is God the Father. He is the only begotten Son of God. Like you stated flesh from being born of Mary. Though no virgin can give birth to a person. They must be conceived. The Holy Ghost is what conceived Mary. The Holy Ghost is of God. Jesus Christ was not just a human like you or me. He was part human part God.

I was wondering if it was the same Rob I have had conversations before about the divinity of Christ. In your question about "God not being flesh". Which I believe we all know. Also has nothing to do with Jesus Christ being God the Son.

He is on the right hand of God. Nothing is above Him and everything is below Him. Just as God the Father as they are ONE. Also the He existed before the world was.

As I might as well bring this up as well as I know some believe this view. That Jesus Christ received the Holy Ghost at His baptism in the Jordan. Maybe because of the vision John saw of the Spirit descending upon Him. Which to me was just for a testimony. Also as God spoke from Heaven. John the baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost from his mothers womb as in Luke 1:15. I don't understand how anyone could think the Holy Ghost/Spirit of God was not with Jesus Christ from His mothers womb also. Also in that John was born of two human parents. Not as Christ in that God is His real Father. Even showing Jesus knew he was the Son of God in Luke 2:49. As we who are born again, knowing God is our Father, receiving the the Holy Spirit of adoption as in Romans 8:15-16. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and ONE with God the Father. Along with the Holy Ghost. 1 John 5:7.

No one said anyone gave anything to God the Father.

    God Bless.

S Spencer, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

My answer to Lee may step on you answer a bit. I believe we all come to truth through the WORD. Our discussions with each other are for the edifying of the church. In Daniel, scripture says knowledge will increase. I believe this is happening. No other time has occasion presented itself for the church to converse the scriptures with each other so easily. The church was isolated into little community groups and not able to converse world wide. There are so many traditions of man that have a grip on us and it is extremely hard for that grip to be loosened. I was raised that heaven was a place you go if you believe. It has taken hundreds of hours in the WORD and SPIRIT to come to the truth what it means to be one with Christ. When we are glorified at the death of our present body; we want be confined by anything, we will be every place Christ is. OMNIPRESENT! Unseen or seen; whatever he chooses.

Dear Francis, What a beautiful question. Please understand that the Bible is not like saying a magical formula and then waiting for it to appear. Praying is a continual communication with God trusting that He hears and will work all things out according to His purpose.

That will always result in what is best.

Anxiety or being full of care or worry always results from not completely turning the situation over to God. We all have the tendency to give things to God only to take them back and try to handle them ourselves again. Anxiety is a clue to us that we have not fully entrusted things to Him.

The work of faith may involve giving back again and again. When we learn that and truly believe that God will do what ever is best, we will have a peace that no one will be able to comprehend.

God is not a genie in a bottle. He does what ever is truly good for those who trust Him. Even if our understanding does not allow us to see it now.

Peace with God means you really know Him and trust what He does. Jesus had this peace because He knew the Father.

Lee, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

John did not go to heaven. He saw a VISION. Heavens doors were opened. The TRADITIONS OF MAN has done great harm to the truth of the scriptures.

John 3:13 NO man has ASCENDED up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.

Colossians 1:27 .....MYSTERY among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU....

John 3:13 ....says even the Son of man WHICH IS IN HEAVEN; Colossians 1:27 says CHRIST IN YOU. Traditions of man says heaven is a PLACE; scripture says HEAVEN IS A PERSON.

You are where GOD DWELLS; you are HEAVEN where GOD'S temple and throne is, you are the DOORS and/or GATES to heaven. The 24 (not necessarily literally 24;but, representing) those that have gone before you in truth; now at Christ's feet. This is how GOD DWELLS ON EARTH; IN YOU, EACH ONE OF US. Christ is our HIGH PRIEST; we are a kingdom of priest; a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people...

WORSHIP AND GIVE THANKS TO HIM.

The scriptures will make more sense to you when you start seeing heaven as people. MOST don't know Christ dwells in them (they think they are going to a place), that's why there is so much confusion and sin in this world. If you haven't come to the truth that CHRIST IS IN YOU then Satan still has his dwelling place in you.

Matthew 12:28 If I cast out devils by the SPIRIT OF GOD, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

It's more than just believe and go to a PLACE CALLED HEAVEN.

Dear Sherry, same sex marriage Male or Female is a sin like any other. Anyone who consciously and willing continues in sin (any sin) demonstrates that he or she does not believe or perhaps care about what God says. Sadly, if anyone continues in sin, it sears the conscious and darkens the understanding resulting in hardening their heart. God cannot have fellowship with unrighteousness.

As Spencer wrote, Romans 1 is a good reference.

A long term sexual relationship (marriage) between a man and a woman is God's design. It is a physical example of Christ and the Church. Ephesians 5:31.. A same sex marriage is in defiance of God's design. How can God bless anything other than what He says is good?

Please tell your friend that she is being deceived. God will give her understanding if She turn to the Lord.
  • William - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 4 years ago
    Dear Jo Ann,

Trials and Tribulations refer to times of testing or difficulties. It may be personal as a trial of your faith as mentioned in 1 Peter 1:6-7 or it may refer to a time of extreme suffering as referred to by Christ for the Jewish believers during the time when the world is under the control of the Antichrist. Matthew 24:21. That is known as the "great tribulation" and is what Revelation is about.

Read everything in context and pray that the Holy Spirit give you understanding by comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Temptation is another word that can be used for personal trials. See 1 Corinthians 10:13. Remember that God always allows trials, tribulations and temptations to refine and grow our faith in Him and show us How much he loves us.
