    Dear Jack, I believe you are right in stating that Matt 24 is about the destruction of Jerusalem. Not the end of the world. It is further revelation Christ was giving about Daniel's revelation concerning the abomination that makes desolate, the tribulation and later revealed to John concerning the judgment of Israel and the setting up of God's Kingdom on earth. I also believe that the key to understanding what is meant about "this generation" Matt 24:34 can be found in Psalm 22 a prophetic psalm of Christ and the "little flock" that will rule with Christ in the Kingdom on earth. See Ps. 22:30 I would love to hear from you.

    These 24 elders represent the church,

    Where they're "CLOTHED IN WHITE RAIMENT" IN CH 4, AND DESCRIBED AS THE REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB IN CH 5.

    In Revelation Ch 2 and 3 you see John's writing to the 7 Churches, Ch 4:1 you see he's called up to heaven.

    "The rapture has been taken place by this point"

    Revelation 4:4. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, "CLOTHED IN WHITE RAIMENT"; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

    Revelation 5:9-10. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, AND HAST REDEEMED US TO GOD BY THY BLOOD OUT OF EVERY kindred, and tongue, and people, and NATION"!!!;

    And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

    Isn't it amazing you see them in Heaven when some say we don't go to Heaven, we inherit the Earth?

    This verse clearly tell us we seek salvation by "patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:".

    This verse plainly destroys the lie of once saved always saved.

    Hebrews 3: 12-14

    12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

    We can loose our salvation

    13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

    If our hearts are hardened by sin how can we be saved

    14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

    We can be saved IF "we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"

    There are of course other scriptures which totally deny the lie once saved always saved.

Do you adhere to Hinn's teachings? Are you in agreement with Benny Hinn. Please respond. May God bless you and keep you true to His Word.

    Matt.24:1-35 refers to destrustion of Jerusalem, as "this generation shall not pass till these things have been done", then the nex5 verses states "But"

    , in contrast to all before there are no signs, but you just have to be ready.. the "these things" in verse 1-34 are signs of coming Jerusalem destruction, NOT end of world,

    If "end of world" as many teach, then how will fkeeing to mountains save you?

    Why hope it is not in the winter?

    If on housetop, dont go back into house for your possessions?

    Verse 36 is the KEY... "BUT...

    The verse I'm looking for in the bible is in the Old Testament. I can't remember where I read it , have not found it yet but did come across other verses , like

    Hosea 11 .9 that confirms that verse and Jeremiah 32.27 , numbers 27.16

    Malachi 3.6 and Luke 34.39 from Jesus himself .

    The bottom line is God is Spirit and creator of all things visible and invisible. That's the father .

    Jesus is man and also born of The Spirit of God , and flesh of Mary , but he is not the father either , the father never had or will have flesh .

    Therefore Jesus is the Son of God the only begotten.

    All things Jesus has have been given him from God the father .

    No one gave anything to God the father . He is God alone .

    It may seem that Abram lied about his wife but he did not. There was not a punishment given, as a matter of fact, Abram was given many animals and many servants. Sarai was Abrams half-sister so there was no lie;

    We must understand that at this time, at that point, the Law had not been given. The lifespan and human genetics were different than they are today. Having kids with close relatives was to repopulate the land. If we recall after the flood there were only eight people, so people married their cousins, half-sisters and many had more than one wife. All the earth at this time served strange gods and God took him out of this land

    Joshua 24:3 And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.

    Back then if someone wanted the property of someone, especially a King or Pharaoh, they would merely wipe out the person and take it, because it was only the strong-will survive world, and women were considered property.

    Jesus healed people on the Sabbath. One reason why the Pharisees wanted to have him arrested.

    Church happens when the doors are open and people attend. Society today, some people have to work on Saturday or Sunday. They need jobs to support family. What is wrong with attending Church at mid-week for those people?

    If we become intolerant and hard on these matters, we would be as guilty as the Pharisees.

    There is only one name we have repentance and remission of our sins, there is only one name we have salvation, there is only one name we have hope in eternal life, only in the name of Jesus we are sanctified, justified. Jesus is the resurrection and the life, Jesus is the true vine, Jesus is the light of the world, we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ.

    Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    The reason Matthew 28:19 is used for baptism, in my opinion, is for support of the Creeds that many Christian denominations hold for Christian unity (ecumenism).

    Sadly, even Matthew Henry misses the depth of Gen. 22:8. God did not say he would provide a lamb. He said He would provide HIMSELF a lamb. All glory and wisdom and honor to God and to those who have their eyes opened by the faith of Jesus Christ our Lord.

    I totally disagree with you, Jacob did not deceive Esau, Esau sold his birthright for some pottage (red stew), you people keep putting out this false information. Esau knew what he was doing and did not care, you must be of his lineage. Esau did not respect his birthright established by: "THE MOST HIGH". He wanted his cake and to eat it. To make matters worse he deceived his father Isaac, he could have told Isaac: "Father I sold my birthright to Jacob for some pottage. He was an arrogant disobedient son, look what he did married foreign women his father told him not to and: "He caused Isaac and Rebekah grief". You are incorrect Esau's behavior and that of his progeny give us Great cause to reflect on his evil deeds. All his seed does is go in to countries, kill the native people, make wars and spread hate and pollute this world, but his reign of Terror is over, now is the time of: "Jacob" says: "THE MOST HIGH".

    If God wrote all the Ten Commandments withHis own finger, on tables of stone, how dare we change it....

    Could it be that the Roman Catholic Church changed it during the "Dark Ages" when it reined supreme?

    Hi Christine,

    You stated "Christ died to change the world"

    The scripture doesn't say Christ came to "change" the world. He came so those who receive him might have life, and that's "EVERLASTING LIFE" and fellowship with the Father.

    Now he put his Spirit in us/ believers and the Holyspirit spirit changes us, ( providing his Spirit dwells in us ).

    Here's just a few of many scriptures:

    1 John 2:2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

    Matthew 20:28. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

    1 Timothy 2:5-6. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

    Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

    Maybe there's others who would like to elaborate.

    The world is going through a lot of destruction, not only of the climate change example Brazil's President for his love of money (GREED) he is allowing to the highest bidder the cutting down of the Rain Forest. There are many examples of that type of destruction, but also the destruction of human kindness. The world, believers in Christ, that have forgotten the commandment Love Thy Neighbors. Now it's let's kill and do away with our neighbors. Leaders of countries will and have committed genocide of a culture and its believers sometimes because they just didn't like them or their belief or because they want the land these people live on. Think about this and how many instances has this occurred in the past and even today. The babies, young children who will never grow up to know being a parent, or the many other things we take for granted. Brothers killing Brothers, Sisters killing Sisters , Children killing Children it's so sad. We as believers in God, His Son Jesus Christ who died for our salvation need to start praying for salvation that when the second coming of Christ that we are hopefully worthy to be lifted up and then to be blessed to live in New Jerusalem. Pray now that we can stop the hate, pray that our children will grow up not knowing how to hate. Life is precious and we need to cherish it not destroy it. PRAY

    Salvation to me begins at the seventh trumpet twinkle, with the 144,000 first fruits standing on the hill with Messiah, the Christ. ( Revelation 14:3-4) Please try to account for any souls other than these who are worthy of the first fruit resurrection, lest ( Revelation 20:5)? From your study, what are 2 things Christians should know about salvation?

    I'm really surprised at how little of the OT, especially the prophets, are discussed here. They're the foundation, they offer tomorrows clews: Daniel 7:8 being Ezekiel 38:14 (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey) should interest you enough to see what they're talking about.

    One thing we can agree on is that we are living in the end-times of Matthew 24, yet no one talks about it.
