Good afternoon, I know that God is so very vast and bigger than anything that we could ever imagine. The world would not be able to hold the books that details all of who God is and what he does. I believe that as we ready and pray, he reveals in us those things that he wants us to know. If God had everything written in books, some people would be confused just as some are today about things such as what to eat and how to dress.

Donna, In the KJV Bible, no scripture says Job's wife was killed. She tells him that he should curse God and die, this possibly showed her feelings of pity and concern for what has happened. The children were killed in one of the brother's house, not in Job's house. There are writings outside of the Bible telling Job had two wives and even gives their names whether true or not the KJV Bible does not tell us.

    God bless your work, Ron

    Hello Esther,

I looked into this a little for you. As I know it comes up in that some people don't believe you should cremate a dead body. As it seems some have stated it may keep that person from "being resurrected" in the end.

So one verse came up where a body was burned before burial. 1 Samuel 31:11-13.

As there is no direct Scripture against cremation. The people of Israel would normally buried their dead. As today the cost to bury a dead body is very high. Cremation is the most cost effective way to dispose of someones remains in my knowledge.

In my knowledge it really doesn't matter what is done to the body after death. We are all dust and, our bodies, return to dust after our death. Job 34:14-15. As the saying "ashes to ashes, dust to dust". If any think it has anything to do that whoever was cremated won't be resurrected. I'd say "what about people who died in a fire, eaten by a shark, or mutilated in a terrible car accident, or something?" Hopefully they wouldn't think that has anything to do with God being able to resurrect them on the last day. As God can do anything.

I hope my view helps you. If anyone else has any other view feel free to post.

    God Bless.

  • Satan killed Jobs children with a storm - In Reply on Exodus 14 - 4 years ago
Read the Book of Job, slower. Make notes, is what I do.

Jobs first children were killed in a storm sent by Satan. He also influenced Jobs wife to tell Job to curse God and die. I believe Jobs wife met with the same death, as did Rebekah in the Genesis story when she planned for Jacob to receive the firstborn blessing. She ended up mumbling and then died later.

This is a good example why we should never curse others.

Jobs faith in God was strong despite all the things Satan threw at him. Well meaning "friends" that vexed his soul. A wife who cursed him.

He was rewarded for his faith. His 2nd wife bore Job more children. His first wife's children had all been killed.

    All his possessions were multiplied.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 7:10

Re 7:10 Salvation to our God . . . and unto the Lamb. The praise of our salvation be given to God and to the Lamb.

In this scripture, God and Jesus are being praised for salvation of the earth, and humankind.

Something that I do when a scripture seems unclear, is to ask The Holy Spirit to explain it. He desires to be our Teacher. Jesus sent him to all believers on the Day of Pentecost. We all should ask for help.

It may involve being still before the Lord. Which generally means turn off the media in the room and listening intently.

If you read the story of the two women both named Martha: one was scurrying around serving the company. The other Martha was sitting at the feet of Jesus, totally engaged with what He was teaching. The 2nd Martha is the one that was remarked upon.

Point: being busy and distracted is not really a good thing if you cannot hear what Jesus is saying.

My comment: hearing an answer or reply from the Holy Spirit, will create a hunger within your spirit to spend time with Him.

Don't ask things you can easily look up in a Bible Encyclopedia, a Commentary or googling History. Do you see my suggestion? If you are still not understanding something, ask, believe, and you shall receive.

Eric Lopez, my understanding, Ahaz was king in Judah but he did evil unto the LORD. 2 Chronicles 28:1-3 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord, like David his father: 2 For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim. 3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

The reference to Israel is comparing him to the kings of Israel by doing the same evil but he was king of Judah. He burned incense on the pagan shrines and on the hills which often refers to idolatrous actions, human sacrifice, and more.

His son Hezekiah did right unto the LORD. 2 Chronicles 29:1-3 Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done. 3 He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the Lord, and repaired them.

Hezekiah was King of Judah, he had the priest cleanse the temple and all the vessels and undue all that his father did, and when they sacrificed and put the blood on the altar for reconciliation Hezekiah gave the command that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.

Hezekiah tried to bring the house of Israel back together. He sent letters to get them to come to the Passover but most laughed at him, but three of the tribes come. 2 Chronicles 30. Ahaz and Hezekiah both were Kings of Judah one bad and one good.

    God bless, Ron

That's very observant of you, Eric: most of us would have missed it. You're quite correct: Ahaz was King of Judah but is written as King of Israel in verse 19. As you know, Ahaz was a wicked king, following the bad example of the other kings in Israel by making molten images as idols for worship. So he is likened as those kings in character. Now whether this 'error' was purposely placed there because of Ahaz's wickednesses or more likely, the writer made a genuine error in classifying Ahaz as King of Israel rather than of Judah, we can't be certain.

dont get me wrong however I do feel that if you are to truly fear somone it should be God in every shape and form, it has always been used with the same emotions present. there will always be fear and trembling before God. especially the father. however within this scripture it tells us there is no reason to fear thus giving this a different meaning as he cares for us even tho of his power and his able wrath. the phrase "fear and trembling" has been used many times in the past. truly by all rights he should be the only thing you ever fear in a round about way and should be cautious for all reasons.... for me however I've never had a fear of him other than hurting him or failing him. the pain it makes me personally feel after the fact in my heart and soul hurts more than I could care to compare to anything else. my fear is not what should compell me towards God when he says fear is the opposite of faith....he really means it. you either fear him or have total faith in him basically. if your going to have faith and pray; why worry or fear for any other reason than love for him in which he made you for? fear came upon adam and eve when they ate of sin. the point here is every type of fear you have should be for God. but in this case you have no reason to fear as it would only get in the way, unless it be for our reason for being in the first place. you fear killing that love for him. that in the end is all that should remain. honestly fear should come second to love and faith in him. but if there is any reason to truly fear....it is of God in some shape or form.
  • Nathaniel smith on Philippians 2 - 4 years ago
honestly I feel like a message is being missed here by many, so I felt I should shed light upon it. "work out your *own* salvation with fear and trembling" in one way he is saying to focus on yourself exclusively based on your own requirements of what he would expect from us when he is not present. by this time we know morally what we need to do, however he also notes while he is there as well to do the same thing..... this let's me know that his expectations for me may not be the same for *me* as he had for others.... in fact there are many examples of this throughout the bible. one of which being the nazarians. God required of them not to drink of wine, yet the jews were allowed to drink of wine. he also required some never to marry yet would allow others too and to top it off require them to marry the local whore in order to warn the people of a coming catastrophe. he required noah to build a boat and survive a flood and he has never asked me to build a boat. all fine examples of this. further the word for fear I can assure you is not the fear many would think this statement means... I'm sure if you looked up the word for fear when he spoke of in the negative light and the one used in this scripture; you would notice they use different hebrew translations or meaning. I honestly have never really had fear of God. my biggest fear of god is that I will break his heart. how is fear in this sentence being used? to tremble however that is a sighn of anxiousness in deep thought or caution with importance. note tho that there are many expressed fears of God in the bible and its entirety that I could tell. there was fear of punishment, fear of him, a reverent fear of respect, and a fear of failing him. fear of trust in God. it explains that fear is the opposite of faith so this needs to be examined with a fine tooth comb to find all the meaning this scripture could be expressing. for me the meaning is caution, handled with great care to match the value of my love for him.

Praise God, thank you for all these comments. God's love is so infinitely powerful, it reaches right down through the lie to save those who are hungry for Truth. I was saved in a Zen Buddhist Meditation Center. I was in the middle of a 3-month silent retreat at a Buddhist monastery, saying a Korean mantra, when I had a the experience of Jesus. I was sitting full lotus style, wanting to know God, not knowing if there was a God, asking myself the question, "What is the purest love of all?" not intellectually, but almost as if my life depended upon it. I had come from a broken family, I had a sudden experience of Jesus Christ, his face on the Cross, and I was cut to the core. I had never felt such immense love, and purity in my life. and his face was looking right into me, and i began to hear his words..... Astounding! I just melted inside, I instantly knew I was a Child of God, and that Jesus was my Brother, and my Beloved and my Lord. I had just forgotten! Now I remembered! Life has never been the same since.

    A Ministry of PRAYER

    2 Corinthians 5:18-21

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION: to wit, that God was in Christ, RECONCILING the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us THE WORD of reconciliation. Now then WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: WE PRAY YOU in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

    Hebrews 2:17

Wherefore in all things it behoved him (Jesus) to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make RECONCILIATION for the sins of the people.

    Ezekiel 45:15

And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, to make RECONCILIATION for them, saith the Lord GOD.

    Daniel 9:24

.....to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make RECONCILIATION for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

    Leviticus 8:15

And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make RECONCILIATION upon it.

    2 Chronicles 29:24

And the priests killed them (animals), and they made RECONCILIATION with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for ALL Israel.

Comment: We are priests through Jesus. Our prayer life is important. We are bold through His righteousness. Be strong and faithful to pray.

Thank you Steven. To bring that to a personal level: when we are led of God's Spirit, the wrist watch, diary or calendar are both unnecessary & irrelevant. We may need those things for our day-to-day activities & to keep appointments, but in God's economy His Spirit gives us both timing & direction.

"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God"; the Spirit will always lead us, as God's children, but do we always obey His leading? Can we ever step outside that leading & that Will for us & not grieve the Spirit by doing so? As Jesus always sought His Father's Will in everything ( John 5:30), He fulfilled God's Plan for Him & Israel to the very last minute. How often we wonder whether we're in the centre of God's Will & might even become despondent in our circumstances - rather, we ought to be sure that there's nothing hindering the Spirit's Words & Work in our lives & that our ears are always inclined towards Him, rather than to the voices around us.

And yes, the Jews ought to have known from the Scriptures that the Messiah had come to them & by the many proofs Jesus had shown them. But that knowledge mixed with human perceptions compelled them to reject Jesus.

They would have asked, 'How could the Messiah oppose or contradict the very Law He should have rather fully supported & expounded on? A breaker of the Sabbath? Allowing an adulterous woman to live? A forgiver of sins? How could He claim to be God's Son - God is One? Joseph was a descendant from David, & Jesus was not Joseph's son - Mary's lineage wasn't considered - Jesus didn't fulfil Messianic prophecy? Where is the liberator from the Roman oppression; instead we get a humble, self-sacrificing holy Man?'

As the Word says, "He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them." ( John 12:40; Isaiah 6:10). BUT He became the Saviour to all who would believe.

    Genesis 3:15

"And I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it (Jesus) shall bruise thy head (power), and thou (Satan) shalt bruise his heel."

Satan won the power to inflict suffering on mankind when Eve was tempted to rebel against God and take a bite from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Both Trees were protected from that day forward, until the Cross of Christ. Tree of Life is one of Jesus's names; as in meaning, eternal life, through Him.

The nail through Jesus's feet, was the fulfillment of the prophesy. Satans power and authority over mankind's sin was over. All he has left is Lies, to cause us to rebel against the Truth of what Jesus accomplished. (Satan is the FATHER of LIES)

During the 3 days Jesus's body was in the tomb, Jesus descended in Hell to lead captivity, captive. He set those prisoners free. By doing so, he proclaimed His Victory over spiritual death, hell and the grave.

We need to have complete confidence in what Jesus accomplished. The power of Gods love and acceptance of us (gentile or Jew), reigns supreme.

Our lives are bombarded every single day by Satans lies. Each lie is crafted to make us fall into "APOSTACY." He uses any media or voice available to accomplish the LIES. Like... don't leave the house, go to church: you might get Covid. It's cheating time for the devil. Are we aware of that? Satan cheats us out of our lives by trickery with Lies. Start telling Satan his destiny is the LAKE OF FIRE, every time he tempts you

Pray that no one you know falls into Apostacy! Find out what that is, and begin warning those you love. Do it in the spirit of Love. All preachers of righteousness need to reveal the lies of Satan that seek to destroy our love for our Savior, Jesus. Teach relationship; not Religion.

We're not called to be a generation of "John the Baptist's." We are called to the Ministry of Reconciliation. Be reconciled to God.

    Hi Louise

I Think you can add Marriage to this list.

Matthew 6:25-33. Therefore I say unto you, TAKE NO THOUGHT FOR YOUR LIFE, WHAT YE SHALL EAT, OR WHAT YE SHALL DRINK; NOR YET FOR YOUR BODY, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Lord knows what we need before we ask, seek in prayer and ask for his will to be done,

    God bless.

    Amen Chris.

Everything was to be done at the appointed time. Jesus knew they would try to Make him king before the appointed time.

John 6:15. When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. But when the time came he didn't only allow himself to be presented as king he arranged it.

Luke 19:30-31. Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

    And then...

    Luke 19:37-40. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, ""THE WHOLE MULTITUDE OF THE DISCIPLES"" began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

saying Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Fulfilling Zechariah 9:9. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

A time the Jews should have known from the many prophesies. And he met all the criteria

Daniel even gave them a time.

Daniel 9:25. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem UNTO THE MESSIAH THE PRINCE SHALL BE SEVEN WEEKS, AND THREESCORE AND TWO WEEKS: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

But they couldn't perceive. Matthew 13:14.

    as Ron stated.

And it seems they were held accountable in

    Luke 19:41-44.

    Goodmorning and God bless.
