Linda, May CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

I AGREE AND BELIEVE everything Jesse said in his comment to you. I will expand MY BELIEF a little more.

I BELIEVE that Christ; with the elect, are and will judge the world (Satan's kingdom that Christ took back at HIS resurrection). ( Matthew 4:8-9) ( Revelation 11:15) ( 1 Corinthians 6:2) ( 1 Peter 4:17)

I BELIEVE the parable of the workers; those called to work in God's vineyard, are the elect. Those called in the first hour are the apostles and others that took part in Pentecost. Since that first hour other workers have been called; till the present hour. Ourselves now being judged by the word of God; by our brothers before us, they being ONE IN CHRIST; have also become THE WORD, the BOOKS. ( Revelation 20:12) ( Revelation 20:4)

    Matthew 19:28

    Romans 11:31-32

Romans 8:19 For the earnest EXPECTATION of the creature WAITETH for the MANIFESTATION of the Son of God.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature ITSELF ALSO shall be DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption unto the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Revelation 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

Revelation 10:11 And he said unto me. thou must PROPHECY AGAIN before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

I BELIEVE at the departure of this body we will be given THE FULLNESS OF GOD; which also will be HIS BODY, OMNIPRESENT able to judge others as he now judges us.

  • NOAHS LONG LIFE - In Reply on Genesis 11 - 4 years ago
Mishael comment: The verses show Noah's age during Bible events. I didn't show them, but Noah made sacrifices upon an altar to God; worshipping God in a time of gross sin. He was human and subject to the aging process.

I believe there is a prophetic reason why Enoch and Elijah were taken to heaven without seeing physical death. And... we will be witnesses of that reason.

    Genesis 6:8

But Noah found GRACE in the eyes of the LORD.

    Genesis 6:22

Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

    Genesis 7:6

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

    Genesis 8:13

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

    Genesis 9:28

And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

    Genesis 9:29

And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Mishael: 'Grace', means Noah had the unmerited favor of God. He didn't earn it.

  • Erich on Galatians 5:4 - 4 years ago
Galatians 5:4 makes it very clear that we MUST continue to abide in Christ and relay on Him for salvation by faith in his blood and what he did on the cross for us! Those who start in the faith, being justified, but, walk away from Christ to trust in their own efforts are showing that they are not relying on Christ anymore, which is a very dangerous thing to do. think about it..... If Christ, who is the only way we will be saved ( Acts 4:12), becomes to no effect to us that can only mean we are in a state of condemnation..... We are fallen from grace. Paul is clearly talking to brothers and sisters in Christ, so this is a warning to saved Christians. Yes, while we can absolutely talk comfort in our salvation based on our faith in Christ, we must always remain steadfast and never turn away from the hope of the gospel ( Colossians 1:22-23). If we do, we will be cut off. However, just as the prodigal son was dead and made alive again ( Luke 15:11-32), so can the Christians who turn from Christ if they turn back to Him with a loving heart of faith in Him alone for salvation!

    Linda,

I firmly believe that when we die, our soul goes immediately into the presence of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:1 says, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle (physical body) were dissolved (physical death), we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Paul goes on to say in Verse 6, "Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body (physically alive right now), we are absent from the Lord:"

But then in Verse 8, he says, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

Please notice that when we're here, the Lord's with us but we're not with Him in heaven. But as soon as you are absent from the body, as soon as you experience death, which means separation, as soon as your spirit leaves your body, you're in the presence of the Lord.

Paul said that his physical death would be far better for him than remaining alive because he knew that he would be in the presence of Christ. That is given to us in Philippians 1:23.

In Acts 7:59, at the stoning of Stephen, it tells us that as they were stoning him, he was calling upon God. And this is the thing that Stephen said first of all when they were stoning him. He said Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. It reminds me of Luke 23:46, "And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said Father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit. And having said thus, He expired or gave up the ghost."

So, when we die, our physical body goes into the grave and waits until the resurrection where we will receive a new glorified body. But at death, our soul separates from the physical body and goes to be with the Lord immediately.
  • PRAYING FOR RETURNING MILITARY SOLDIERS on Exodus 3:15 - 4 years ago
Please commit to pray and stand in the gap,

For returning soldiers from Afghanistan. Ask your church to lift them up, every Sunday, corporately.

There is a huge increase of suicide, alcoholism and depression, when military service ends. It's the same for military retirees, as is for those who suddenly find themselves without a job.

It's true. Post traumatic stress is not a joke. It's killing very valuable men and women. They deserve our prayers daily.

When I was a teenager, EVERY DAY at dinner hour, we watched on television, military jets unloading flag draped caskets of soldiers killed in Viet Nam.

To the side of the jet, we saw stretchers or wheelchairs of wounded warriors being transported to military hospitals. We also saw war protesters screaming insults and curses at them! Not welcome bands.

No one should ever be received back from war in such disgraceful displays. Seeing it burned a fire in my soul.

At the very least, we as Christians should COMMIT to pray for Gods Favor in their lives. And I surely do mean as in the scriptures that describe grabbing onto the horns of the altar of God and pour out our requests: as in lay on it, shed tears of sacrifice, over the altar. Keep at it until heaven opens and rains out the answers and help in time of trouble and darkness.

Pray for employment to open to them. Favor in moving out of military housing into civilian communities. Everything. National News isn't going to show us what I saw in the 60's; every single day. I'm testifying. Others my age can offer their testimony also.

Ask your Pastor to mention this often. Ask the praying grandmothers to keep our soldiers covered in prayer. May God bless everyone responding to this call. Thank you Lord Jesus! Commander of the host.

Give honor to whom honor is due.

luke 22:67 art thou the christ? tell us. and he said (god's word's) unto them, if i tell you, ye will not believe.

these words came out of god's mouth and god said his words would not return unto him void.

    isaiah 55:11

philippians 1:9 for unto you it is given in the behalf of christ, not only to believe on him ....

no one can believe unless god's causes them to believe.

john 6:29 .....this is the work of god, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent....

2 thessalonians 2:11 and for this cause (unbelief) god shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

2 timothy 2:13 if we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

luke 3:13 ... exact no more than that which is appointed to you.

jeremiah 46:17 ....pharaoh king of egypt, is but a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.

psalms 102:20 to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those appointed to death.

job 23 :14 for he performeth the thing that is appointed for me.....

1 peter 2:8 a stone of stumbling, a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto they were also appointed.

there but by the grace of god, go i.

    Verses,

Yes, Jesus died not only for your sins but for the sins of the whole world, again given to us in 1 John 2:2. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Even though Christ died for our sins, a person must still receive Him in order to be saved. I don't like to use the words "accept Christ" because to me, accept just means to mentally agree with what Jesus did for us. A person has to literally receive Jesus Christ.

The entire salvation process is designed by God, from start to finish. Man plays no part in salvation other than surrendering their life to Jesus Christ. A person cannot save his/herself. The only thing we have to contribute to salvation is the sin from which we need to be saved from.

I hope I'm not making this confusing for you? If I may ask you, have you received Christ? Have you confessed your sin to Him and called upon His name ( Romans 10:13) for Him to have mercy on you and come into your life? Have you been born of His Spirit? ( John 3:3, John 1:13, John 3:6)

Surrendering one's life to Christ is the most important decision one will ever have to make!
  • THE WORLD is us God loves everyone - In Reply on 1 Timothy 3 - 4 years ago
Some scriptures you want to read slowly

    John 3:16

For God so loved THE WORLD that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Mishael Comment: God reveals himself to everyone. He has at some time in a persons life knocked on the door of their hearts, giving them them the faith to choose opening their hearts to receive.

Someone, at some time in our lives, has spoken of their faith in God, and we heard it. A friend, a relative, a Sunday church program on TV we flipped through, a billboard, someone's teeshirt in the grocery store, a bumper sticker....

Maybe a catastrophic accident that landed us or someone we love dearly, in the Hospital. We thought about loss, how do we live without them?

We get numerous chances to pause and consider the possibility of eternal something. Maybe God is real?

I've noticed that when something bad happens, that people often exclaim, "Oh God! Don't let this be."

Or, when we cut or burn ourselves in the kitchen, or a child is hurt playing; we grab the injured body part immediately (laying on hands)...

Everybody is being given chances to believe in the living God. TODAY if you receive that moment when God reaches out to you...harden NOT your heart. That's your moment. He's knocking on the door of your heart.

We all possess those "front door cameras" now, so we can see who is outside knocking. If it's someone we choose to pretend we aren't home: we don't open the door.

It's all about choices. It's not hard to respond to Gods calling. But do not think it's a deal you receive and then forget about 5 minutes later. It cost Jesus everything he had just to provide the opportunity to be a part of the Kingdom of God (heaven). Don't think Salvation is a cheap easy fix.

If you want to know more, go on YouTube and listen to some Greg Laurie sermons, if you don't know any favorite preachers? Once, I was lost as anyone can be. Let him come in.

I support Brother Chris in this second paragraph, when we follow this way, we have Jesus present with us always and we fall into less error and more importantly do not hinder others coming to Christ. The Bible is complete in itself, we just need to be humble believers. I am thankful how God leads in His people's gifts.

    Thank you!
  • WHY PEOPLE REFUSE SALVATION - In Reply on Psalms 133 - 4 years ago
    Romans 1:22

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

    Ezekiel 34:8

    As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;

    Proverbs 16:22

Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

    Luke 24:25

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

    Proverbs 15:14

The heart of him that hath understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

    Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    Hebrews 3:19

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

    Matthew 13:58

And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

    Hebrews 3:12

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

    Romans 11:30

For as you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy...

    Romans 1:17-28

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made [people], even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE.

Mishael comment: Not making a choice to receive salvation through Jesus; is a choice. Read John 3 carefully.

I am 72 years old, raised in a Communal home of Hindus, Muslims and Jehovahs Witnesses. All wonderful people.

I have read many hundreds of books, and have taught Mathematics and Computer Science to Secondary School and FET College learners. I still develop software and I have many certificates of achievements.

On reflecting, I am thankful that I have realized, just as the Apostle Paul did, that above everything in my life stands :

    JESUS CHRIST and HIM crucified.

Read : 1Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing among you, 'save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified"

The BIBLE is the greatest BOOK that I have ever read, because I have learnt from it who GOD is:

Read : Jeremiah 9:23-24 "Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches.

But let him who glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

I would like you to know that I have experienced these WORDS in my lifetime and still do.

Therefore, I urge every person everywhere to hearken to the WORDS of GOD, for God is no respecter of persons.

The wonderful things that HE did and does for me and many, many other Christians , He will do for you.

I therefore, would like to put a loving challenge to you :

When you read the Bible, Humble yourself and sincerely ask GOD in JESUS' name to grant you the understanding and knowledge about HIM. You will be AMAZED!

Psalms 1: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

To all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Draw close to the Lord. Have no fear in this world. Stay vigilant. Amen.

  • Murray Codorwel Vengethasamy - In Reply on Matthew 12:2 - 4 years ago
Dear And Precious Brothers And Sisters And Neighbors,

This is a very important question like many other questions.

What happens to the soul should be one of the most important questions to everybody.

Firstly I would like to advise that the answer must come from GOD through HIS WORD.

Let us read or hear what GOD says through HIS WORD.

I Love The King James Bible because through This BIBLE, I came to realize who is the BISHOP of my soul!

    Please read :

    (1) 1 Peter 2:25 " For ye were as sheep going astray, but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

    (2) Colossians 3:3 "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God"

    Amen

    Verses, (Don't know your name)

Verse 15 tells us that the sting of death is sin. It is because of man's sin that everyone will physically die. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. That death was not only physical death, but eternal separation from God. It finishes out by saying "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

So now instead of death (eternal separation from God), through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can now have eternal life through Jesus Christ. But if Christ did not rise from the grave, neither would we, and we would still be lost in our sins.

1 John 2:2 says "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

Propitiation means satisfaction. But it is also the word for mercy seat in the Old Testament in the tabernacle area.

The bible tells us that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, everybody's sins. But its application and its effectiveness are only for those who receive Him. When the whole world stands before Christ, the only thing they will answer for is how they responded to Christ. That's it! And some will die in their sins because they have rejected Christ.

So all who receive Christ will live with Him for eternity (Eternal life). Those who reject Him will die in their sins and will be separated from Him throughout eternity.

    Hopefully, this makes more sense?

Good morning Laura, even in our sins God loves us (all humankind) and has provided away for us to return that love in our surrender of our fleshly will in the beloved Son, Christ Jesus. He loves us still more yet to refine us to even a closer walk as Christians where our hearts burn to be with Him. There may be some who think they are forgotten but they are not, God knows each one perfectly and calls each one to Himself as their Father in Heaven. It is a choice to reach out to Him in Faith.
