    George,

2 John Chapter 1 Verse 6 starts out by saying, And this is love, that we walk after (or according) to His commandments.

Remember in 1 John Chapter 5, in the first 3 verses, he described what love does. Love keeps the commandments of God because God is love. He gives us the love for Him, and for His commandments.

Even Jesus said in John 13:34-35, a new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another. Actually, loving one another is the old commandment, but He's giving it in a new way.

Love one another. Here's the new way: As I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men shall know that you are my disciples if you have love one to another. That's to Christians; if you have love one to another.

The non-believer will know that we belong to Christ because Christ's love is flowing within the body of Christ from one believer to another.

He says that's the evidence, the proof. And love will keep the commandments. That is in John 14:15, where Jesus said if you love me, you will keep my commandments.

That's why His commandments are not grievous, because if you love Him, you'll want to please Him. You'll want to do that which is good for you and your walk with God. This is the commandment, that, as you have heard from the beginning, in order that you should walk in it.

2 Peter 1: 10-11 is very clear that we, as believers, must hold fast to our faith in Christ for eternal salvation. This, along with many other verses, teach that the security of the believer is conditional, not unconditional. 1 Peter 1:5 even tells us that we are kept by the power of God through faith (present/continual tense). We are to be active followers of Christ, just as Christ says in John 10: 27-28. the ones who are secure are the ones who follow Christ. We are absolutely assured of our eternal salvation as long as we continue in the Father through the Son ( 1 John 2:24-25). We are taught by John in his 1st epistle that the promise of eternal life is conditional on continued faith in Christ. We are told we need to endure to the end ( Mt 10:22).

Some people think 2 Peter 1: 10-11 has nothing to do with justification, but, sanctification. This is misleading because verse 11 clears explained and expounds on verse 10 to mean eternal entrance to Heaven..... Key word is entrance. If 2 Peter 1:10-11 had nothing to do with our salvation Peter would not have even mentioned entrance into Heaven.

We can, and should take such comfort in the hope and assurance we have in our eternal life. However, we need to be mindful of the warnings that the writers of the Holy Bible put forth, as well. We must never take our eyes of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith ( Heb. 12:2). We must never let ourselves grieve the Holy Spirit by partaking in willful sin, as by willful sinning we create and evil heart of unbelief and run the risk of departing from the living God and falling short of entrance into His rest- Heaven ( Heb. 3: 12- Heb. 4:1). We must remain in God's word for guidance and instruction. By doing so, we will grow in our walk with Christ. We must always remember, He is the vine, we are the branches. We can do nothing without him. If we do not abide/remain in Christ we are cast off and burned, which is synonymous with hell ( John 15 1:6).

    Revelation 5

    Revelation 7

    Revelation 11

    Revelation 12

    Revelation 14

The witnesses are special enough to be the subject of 5 Chapters, and that they're hidden from you until I come along. Just prior to the 6th trumpet ( Revelation 7:1-3), the elect 144,000 are sealed for 3.5 years (42 months) against death. At the end of their testimony, these elect will lay dead in the street for 3.5 days, then taken up in the clouds at the seventh trumpet, second coming of Jesus Christ. Since antichrist is revealed at the start of the sixth trumpet, ( 2 Thessalonians 2:3) the day of the Lord, his 3.5 years expire at the start of the seventh trumpet. The elect die 3.5 days before the seventh trumpet resurrection, while antichrist's time hasn't come yet. This leaves a 3.5 day gap between the tribes being sealed, and the sixth trumpet. For prophesy to be fulfilled, the 144,000 must receive a full 1,260 days of sealed protection.

The tribes are sealed 3.5 days prior to the sixth trumpet, day of the Lord. What will they do in that 3.5 day day window?

( Joel 2:28-31) And it shall come to pass afterward [( Acts 2:17-21) And it shall come to pass in the last days], that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:...

Could this Holy Ghost outpour occur during the 3.5 day "gap" prior to the day of the Lord, so that we, with the elect, should all (flesh) receive the Holy Ghost?

We also have the promise of ( Malachi 4:5) Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: [between Revelation 6:14 & Revelation 6:12?]

    Hello,

I don't think I've posted this before but it is important and I just feel to state it to help others.

What came to me a while ago was that the generations from entering Babylon to Christ is supposed to be fourteen generations as per Matthew 1:17. When you count the three steps of fourteen generations starting from Abraham the first two are fourteen and the last one to Christ is only thirteen. It has been known some Jewish people use this to discredit Jesus of Nazareth being the Christ.

After looking into this the answer was brought to light by a man who studied this. When we get to Matthew 1:16 we see "Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary". This is where this genealogy fails as the break between Jacob and Mary. We know this is not correct as the genealogy of Joseph the carpenter, husband of Mary, is in Luke 3:23. The father of Joseph is Heli not Jacob. The answer was found in original Scriptures of Matthew which was the only one of the four Gospels to be written in Hebrew. The word "husband" used in Matthew 1:16 is incorrect. As he had pictures of the Scriptures. It is the "father" of Mary. As Joseph was a normal name that her father and husband shared. Which in turn links the genealogy back up and makes it fourteen generations as it should be.

Again, I just felt to post this as to me it is important for us to know this. As the way it is written people can use it as a weapon against Jesus Christ.

Hopefully I have brought this to light for some as others may already know this.

    God Bless.

    Hi Robert,

That is actually a very good question which I just learned about recently. The words that are in italics in the Bible are words that were not necessarily in the original Hebrew or Greek texts. They were added of coarse to help the verses flow in the English language. As I am no scholar in Hebrew or Greek their languages have their own details.

As said most of the words are just to help the verse flow in our language. Though I have seen a couple words that I don't see the reason they added them.

Hope that helps some. Again good question.

    God Bless.

    Hey there.

I read your testimony and I believe it.

The Lord did a good work in your life and you were patient enough to wait for it.

You know I think it is good when we do not rely on our own understanding but rather have FAITH for our circumstances.

    You did well!

Look at it like this way, this is one conversation (about what happened to you) that you can look forward to talking to The Lord about one fine day.

Serving what we went through means-- in the ending of time, how many chances did l have in doing what he gave you and which way you used what He gave you, at the time in your life it was given. Alot of my chances He gave me, l did not turn to the word to understand.

I turned to a person or reason of the darkness way of thinking of this world. I in turn lost what God had given me at that time. With understanding from my past ways, l now turn straight to the light of God's word, and stay away from the world's ways. It is totally Love for not only others but for yourself. For God is total Love!!! He wants the best for us.... Thank you for asking.

    Hello Chris,

So we are what, then, you being in Australia?...about 12 hours apart time-wise?, as I am presently in Salt Lake City, Utah, it being now 2:00 A.M., USA Mountain-time. (Don't worry, I am not at all so-blind, so-deceived, and so-misguided Mormon/LDS!)

Yes, I am up now in the wee-hours of the morning, as I often am in Bible reading, and writing what I hope are encouraging evangelical Bible messages to both email and to print to hand out in public places. I have no family other than a landscape-architect sister in South Carolina, and a retired policeman brother in Atlanta, Georgia; and plus being now basically retired myself due to Covid I can do just about any sort of wake/sleep schedule as I might like, thus my often being up much overnight!

Let me ask you, what do you find of Prophetic End-Times Truth in the Bible? I have discovered America in tremendous amounts - probably well over 100 mentions in the Old Testament - as well much of England/the UK-British Isles, and even some references probably of where you are, Australia. I have also found reference to John Lennon and that most evil of antiChrist songs, Imagine, that he hatefully in-His-Face wrote against Almighty God Jesus Christ years ago.

Have you ever noticed that interesting quandary about the Hebrew Tribe of Dan...that for all the mentions of that Tribe in all the listings of the 12 Tribes/12 Sons of Israel in the Bible, that Dan is completely missing in the End-Times Revelation chapter 7 listing of the 12 Tribes?! See Genesis 49:16-18, and the awesome question God asks in the middle clause of Judges 5:17! I have found the answer to the great quandary of those 3 passages - Rev. 7:4-8, Genesis 49:16-18, & Judges 5:17 middle clause 7 words...and they are full of End-Time significance, as one would expect being that these 3 areas of the Scriptures are indeed End-Time sections! I have even found substantiating secular proofs to these verses, thus showing the End is definitely here! Richard"

Peter is telling us to know the tactics of the enemy, line our selves with the armor of God, and stand. The devil comes in different form and shape and we have to know who we are in Christ Jesus. He comes as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour and if we are not wise not in our wisdom yet the wisdom of God, he will trap us in his snare.Amen.

The Lord Jesus Christ standing on Mount Olive:

    The seventh trumpet sounds:

( Revelation 16:15) Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. [Jesus comes as a thief at both sixth & seventh trumpets]

    vs 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

( Revelation 11:15) And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. ( Revelation 16:17) ( John 19:30)

( Ezekiel 37:1-14) Resurrection: ...vs 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. vs 11 ...these bones are the whole house of Israel. vs 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live,..

( Matthew 24:30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

    ( Revelation 19:11-16)

    ( Revelation 19:19-20)

vs 20 ...Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. ( Zechariah 14:1-4) ....Then shall the LORD go forth...And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives...

    Ezekiel 38 Biblical Perspective

    Ezekiel 38: 1-9

Part 1 of 4: Gog's sixth trumpet attack on Israel (house):

vs 3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

vs 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company withbucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

( 2 Thessalonians 2:6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

vs 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

( Revelation 9:15) And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

vs 8 After many days....in the latter years thou shalt come...against the mountains of Israel (house), and they shall dwell safely all of them...

( Revelation 9:13) And the sixth angel sounded....

vs 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

God is against Gog, yet Gog is finally brought forth in the latter days to do God's will against Israel, Babylon, and eventually every world government. The first "cloud to cover the land" is reported. Israel (house) is being attacked.

( Jeremiah 5:15) Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation...

( Isaiah 13:5-6) They come from a far country...

( Joel 2:3-11) ...the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness...

( Isaiah 47) vs 9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood..
  • Simon on 2 Chronicles 10 - 4 years ago
    Part 1 continued:

( Ezekiel 21:12) Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people,...smite therefore upon thy thigh. "smite therefore upon thy thigh" is reference to Jacob wrestling an angel for the birthright he obtained from a hungry Esau, for a bowl of lentil soup. Wrestling the angel permanently injured Jacob's thigh ( Genesis 32:24-25). Seen as our "Jacob's time of trouble"; the great tribulation.

God made both Gog and Esau "small" and "despised "( Obadiah 1:2) Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

( Daniel 11:23) And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

( Matthew 24:21-22) For then shall be great tribulation....

( 2 Thessalonians 2:3) The falling away is the abomination of desolation.

    ( Mark 13:14) ( Matthew 24:15)

    ( 2 Peter 3:10) (Mathew 3:11)

    ( Amos 5:18) ( Amos 5:20)

    ( Daniel 11:31)

    ( Revelation 17:16-17)

    ( Daniel 9:27)

    ( Jeremiah 51:53)

( Revelation 18) vs 20 ...for in one hour is she made desolate.

( Revelation 18:9-10) ...for in one hour is thy judgment come. ( Ezekiel 18:26)

    ( Daniel 12:6-7)

Israel (house) is notably attacked [from the south to the north]:

( Ezekiel 21:2-4) And say to the land of Israel (northern kingdom),...therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh [from the south to the north].

( Ezekiel 20:46-47) ....Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree:...and all faces [from the south to the north] shall be burned therein.

( Isaiah 21:1) ....As whirlwinds in [the south pass through]; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land (Gog's land)

    ( Job 37:9)

( Isaiah 24) "Day of the Lord" aftermath.

( Revelation 9:18) By these three was the third part of men killed...
