Yes, the bible is based on race from Genesis to Revelation. I know this from studying the bible with the Strong's Concordance. It is written to Adamkind only.

I think the reason for this is found in the last verse 32: "These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood."

From Noah & his sons, all the Earth was repopulated after the Flood, which wiped out everyone. Even though most of those names might not mean much to us, it was important to Israel in understanding their roots & to historians who would be able to follow the generations which came from those names.

Michal was one of Saul's daughters; the other (older) one was Merab ( 1 Samuel 14:49). Then we find the love she had for David (from 1 Samuel 18:17 onwards, into the next chapter).

Hi Daniel, I suppose that Jacob (Israel) figures more prominently throughout Scripture than Esau, so churches tend to emphasize his 'bad' character. However, Esau was equally to blame for handing over his birthright ( Hebrews 12:16) & then after Isaac's blessing was given to Jacob, throwing a tantrum over his loss.

Yet we also need to bear in mind Genesis 25:21-23. Here, we see that Rebekah enquired of the Lord about the "struggle she was experiencing in her womb". And the Lord spoke about the twins there & how the elder twin would one day serve the younger. It seems that Isaac wasn't aware of this Word from God, or else he, in his old age, had forgotten about it ( Genesis 27:33-37). And of course, Rebekah herself was right in the middle of this debacle & was equally guilty. So none of them are innocent in all this & yet God used the weaknesses of people (their fleshly desires & schemes) to fulfil His Purposes. Maybe, churches & Sunday Schools need to relate the complete story & learn from the mistakes of others & of course, the sovereignty of God.

I personally believe the Mark of the Beast is the microchip. It says in not on. I am quite sure the difference is important. The words of the Bible seem to have exact meanings. I realize the original word has numerous meanings; however, the chip is already being offered, and a cashless society is right around the corner.

Why is it Jacob ( in the Old testament) is given a bum rap time and time again in church over the years question mark ! All he did was claim what was rightfully his after his brother Esau sold his birthright to him for some food ( pottage ) ! Yet over the years he has been "bad mouthed" in Sunday School as a whole in the Baptist church and other places. Why question mark ! I have gone back and read his story over again lately and find GOD never rebuked him and his Father Abraham never rebuked him as well !

    Hi Sacha,

I am sorry to hear about the deaths in your family going on. As it is a part of life and I so understand wanting others you care about to be saved, and with the Lord, though they have their own beliefs.

I just as you, and I'm sure all others in Christ, yearn for the day that we will be with the Lord in glory where He is in His Kingdom.

    Isaac,

This will be my last post to you as I did not wish to make you angry or drive you away. You have just as much right to post here as I do. As I stated I did not want you to take my post harshly as it seems you did. I am sorry you took it that way.

You stating "you guys" but please only keep this between you and me. Maybe you are perceiving me and Carleton as "you guys" because we both asked you a similar question?

Like I stated truthfully. I am not one to sharpen your iron on this topic of Genesis. I stated where my focus is.

Please feel free to keep posting and maybe someone else can help you.

    Again I apologize.

    God Bless.

Hello Dot, Paul tries to tell us that we remain in need so that grace may abound, we do not want to sin, but we must remember that we came to Jesus as a beggar by the gate with open sores on our face that dogs would lick and He accepted us. How can we not remember others at any cost now that we are rich in Christ Jesus?

For our meditation by His love.
  • Carleton - In Reply on James 1 - 4 years ago
Only one reason Issac, as mentioned before, the discussion is time consuming, so the value for me must start at the Cross. I remain interested in your thoughts in Genesis 1 and 2, if I believe that finally the goal is the increase of our faith and relationship at the Cross. I am sure that no one means offense otherwise. I am sorry for my part in your offense.

Dot , when we help some one in need we are not only helping them ,we are also helping our selves and showing some one who is a potential Christian the love of God towards them . I personally would never give cash to some one if i knew they were a drug addict ,anything else yes ,food clothing etc but not cash but thats just me . We receive everything and are entitled to nothing ,nothing belongs to us ,we dont belong to this world and this world doesnt belong to us ,we are waiting for the world to come ,in which no one will have more or less than they need ,just like the manna in the wilderness ,every one had enough .

In Genesis chapter 10, what is the importance of the bible listing all these sons and daughters? So many sons and daughters were listed and I am wondering why?

    Brother Carleton,

Thank you very much for your reply. I very much enjoyed reading of the things about the vision of another brother about a year ago. That is also amazing how your wife came home today with that book and the title is close to what I stated in that "the Lord is closer than we may think". The Lord is so perfect!

I usually don't post things about my personal experiences with the Lord. Though today as I was getting a bit emotional while praying I heard that He wanted me to share that with you all.

As none of us know exactly what is to happen and when. We must make sure we are ready for the Lord to come at any time. As we are taught in Matthew 24:42-44. I know a lot of people are waiting for a "rapture" which may happen and of coarse is the best thing for us with the Lord. Though I really don't see it being that easy for us.

Like said no matter what happens have no fear. We must endure till the end no matter what. Glory and honor to our Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    God Bless you my brother.
  • Carleton on James 2 - 4 years ago
My brother by baptism remembers the Tower of Babel was a time maybe like today. God restrained, Satan gained. What are the limits of the tower men are building again? Have we no fear? If man can be associated with a 6; a number well less than 7; all he can do is build on 6 while the times continue. He can never reach 7 where there is a fullness in God. So man as history moves forward repeats his number in various ways of falseness.

    Enough said.

    God bless our meditations.

I am 67 years old, I made a promise to my wife and to myself that I would make changes in my life and that I would read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I started in December 2020. My wife got me a very nice Study Bible for Christmas. I read my Bible every day, it is the first thing I do in the morning. It gives me strength and comfort every day, along with my daily prayer. I am currently in the Book of Isaiah and I am on a good pace to finish before the end of year. After reading the Bible and learning much even though I am far from finished, I am compelled to become a follower of Jesus Christ. I would ask for prayer to help this sinner continue to find his path to Jesus Christ to become my Lord and Savior. I would also ask for guidance for me to Repent and Confess my sins and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank-You...

I am going through overwhelming stress and difficulties that are destroying my mental and physical health. Multiple dissorders are causing me severe anxiety, depression, and hoplessness. Only my Lord Jesus is keeping me going, I so appreciate any prayers for wisdom, peace, and healing, thank you, and God Bless
  • Joshua Babbitt on 1 Peter 5 - 4 years ago
I would appreciate your prayers for me, that the Lord would help me show to all meekness unto all men, like it says to do in Titus 3 - I struggle to do that, especially toward my mom, which is not honoring her, and it's sin.

I also battle with idolatry, especially the temptation to overindulge in video games - by God's grace, I've stayed away from video games for over a year and a half (praise God), but the temptation to play a "little" is there, which almost always has turned into overindulgence and idolatry - and the temptation seems to be growing more and more. I think if the Lord gave me clarity, to see things the way He wants me to, and to love the things He loves, and hate the things He hates, it would greatly help.

What does this have to do with Jesus? 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

I see I pick the wrong place for this discussion. Because you guys see you might be wrong about this, you change the premise to: What does this have to do with Jesus? So now it's no longer a iron sharpens iron discussion. Sorry I wasted your time and mine.

Admin, you can block me now. I do not wish to get anymore e-mails on this.
