Where in the book of Revelation do you find the "raptured saints" mentioned ? No where does Revelation specify the rapturing of the saints.

Karen, may the SPIRIT grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

The BIG QUESTION? If you don't accept Christ in your physical life time are you cut off forever? Or go to hell?

    Most BELIEVE in this assumption.

If the scriptures are studied as a whole and verses are not picked and apply in direct opposition to other verses we see a different truth than the above.

The scriptures assert that THE WORKS OF GOD are divided into different ages or generations.

So what's taking place in the age we are presently living in.

Scripture says that God through Christ is CHOOSING a few to rule and judge in HIS KINGDOM and they with HIM will bring all creation INTO CHRIST.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensations of the fullness of TIMES he might gather together in one ALL THINGS in CHRIST........

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of THE SONS OF GOD.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED (by Christ and his elect).......

Romans 11:30-31 For as ye in times past HAVE NOT BELIEVED GOD, yet have obtained mercy through THEIR UNBELIEF:

(vs 31) Even so have these also NOT NOW believed, that through YOUR MERCY they also MAY OBTAIN MERCY.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great; but the labourers (OF GOD'S WORKS) are FEW.....

Matthew 20:16 many are called, FEW are chosen....

Why are they called and not chosen; because they didn't BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAID.

Yes they are saved; but want be a judge in the kingdom.

    Thanks Pa Ba

I think setting and authority is what's in view, Deborah was a prophetess that judged Israel, Judges 4:4.

I do understand this was not the church age, but it was certainly after Adam and Eve sin.

And yes Eve was deceived but Adam sinned also, Romans 5:12 (KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

1 Timothy 2:12 (KJV) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

The verse you presented here I think is a church setting, Paul is instructing Timothy to set up a Church.

but what about outside of that setting?

Teachers and Preachers is also sheep following chief shepherd.

We're tought humility as Peter was taught when the Lord washed his feet.

    And look at Paul here

1 Corinthians 3:5-7 (KJV) Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

    Another verse you given:

    Titus 2:3-5 (KJV) The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, TEACHERS of good things;

That they may TEACH the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

It's not at all in view of a lesser role in the body of Christ, It's a designed structure.

I think it's an extension of the model shown in Ephesians 5:22-32. a husband and wife modeling Christ and the Church.

I hope that helps. God bless

I'm sorry Victor, I can't answer your question. I've tried to research it, but I'm not even able to learn who were the leaders of those tribes (apart from their original name-sakes). All we know, as stated earlier, that the east part of the Jordan was apparently very fertile & well grassed, so it appears that Reuben, Gad & the half-tribe of Manasseh were more inclined to rear cattle & sheep. So maybe the division of Manasseh was dependent on those who pursued this occupation, rather than of a specific sub-family tree within Manasseh that decided to stay there.

  • Tribe of Manasseh descendants - In Reply on Numbers 32:23 - 4 years ago
Manasseh, one of the 12 tribes of Israel that in biblical times comprised the people of Israel. The tribe was named after a younger son of Joseph, himself a son of Jacob.

After the Exodus from Egypt and the death of Moses, the Israelites entered the Promised Land under the leadership of Joshua, who assigned a territory to each of the 12 tribes. The tribe of Manasseh settled in central Palestine-some to the east, some to the west of the Jordan River. When the independent kingdom of Israel, established by the 10 northern tribes after the death of King Solomon (10th century BC), was conquered by the Assyrians in the late 8th century BC, many Israelites were carried off into slavery. In time the tribe of Manasseh was assimilated by other peoples and thus became known in legend as one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Among the most illustrious members of the tribe of Manasseh was Gideon, a fearless warrior who served as judge for 40 years.

Because some prayers require legs. In other words, Jesus is not going to reach down and touch your son and voila he's healed. Your son must face his drug abuse or its lingering effect and his mental illness and take steps to get professional help. But most of all he himself needs to pray. And you both need to wait upon the Lord.
  • Best Way To Know Where we Go At Death - In Reply on Isaiah 56 - 4 years ago
Some believe that while Jesus' body was in the tomb, His spirit was in hell.Scripture doesn't support that position when it is taken in context and we look at the meaning of the word "hell." In the Old Testament, the place of the dead or the place of departed souls was called "SHEOL." It was to this place that all souls of the dead went to await resurrection.

In the New Testament, we find the story of Lazarus and the rich man who both died and went to Hades ( Luke 16:19-31). The KJV translates the Greek word "hades" as hell but most other translations use the Greek word. HADES had two separated parts: Those who died in faith believing in God's promise waited for the resurrection in Abraham's Bosom. Those who died spiritually separated from God wait in torment for the resurrection unto death, eternal separation from God. The rich man was on the torment side and Lazarus was in ABRAHAMS BOSOM which was called "PARADISE" by the LORD Jesus Christ himself when He addressed the thief who found faith the day Jesus was crucified ( Luke 23:42-43)

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" ( 2 Peter 2:4). The word translated "HELL" here is not the Greek word "HADES" but is the Greek word "TARTARUS" meaning ABYSS or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the PLACE OF TORMENT and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).

Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things" ( Ephesians 4:8-10). Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise, to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the lower parts refers to Jesus mission of declaring Victory!
  • Ponder Pause and Selah - In Reply on Proverbs 4:26 - 4 years ago
I was taught that 'Selah' means to pause and think upon (ponder) what I'm reading. I had to learn to slow down. Found in Psalms and Book of Habakkah.

Many commentators think that Selah meant 'to pause' or 'to reflect'. This could have been a request for the reader or listener to pause and think about what has just been said, or it could have been a space for voices to pause and for instruments play alone. We don't really know for certain.

Regardless, the word Selah itself indeed causes us to pause and consider what God may be saying even when we don't fully understand. Selah gives us an opportunity to take a moment away from this crazy, busy, non-stop life we all tend to live and consider the immense mysteries and wonders of God. Paul speaks to this in Colossians 2:2-3, My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

    Hi Debbie,

Here's a verse to consider when witnessing to those in question and when using those great scriptures Brother Adam gave.

Often when we try helping someone or pointing out some wrong in them, then they seem to get offended and turn the focus on you,

    Here's Paul:

Galatians 6:1 (KJV) Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

    Note:

    "He that is spiritual."

    "considering thyself."

    Listen at the Lord:

Matthew 7:2-4 (KJV) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

    Please understand I'm saying anyone's a hypocrite,

I'm saying THAT WE DO MINISTER TO PEOPLE IN A WE TO RESTORE THEM OR/AND TO LEAD THEM TO SALVATION.

"Using the word of God and you're not condemning. The truth and the word is simply being displayed.

I personally think it's our duty to be a instrument that bares light, and if my light is dim it's me lacking spirituality in my life but THE WORD REMAINS TRUE.

Hopefully someone else can shed more light on this.

    Fruit inspecting, restoring,

    I hope that helps

    Matthew Chapter 6

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the BIRDS of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye HAVE NEED of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

No offense, but I think Adams first job was naming animals: and God likes critters too. Be kind to animals. We're commanded not to be cruel to animals. I have faith to believe heaven is full of all kinds of praise and worship.

I get up before the birds in the morning. They are the first ones to lift their voices in song. Trees lift their branches to praise God too. Listen to a song on YouTube: How many and Wonderful by John Michael Talbot. You'll sing too :)

  • It39s never too late to Set Your House in Order - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 8 - 4 years ago
Satan is a "god" of CHAOS. Whatever he finds that is in order, he tears at it until it's in sin and disarray. That is his FRUIT. He has many! Get to know all of them. That's how we know he's trying to set our homes, work, friendships, etc, in Chaos. Time to pray and get Church members to pray with us, if need be.

Let's be sensitive to order vs chaos. It's a pattern for success or, chaos. Titus learned that traveling with Paul: as did the Disciples that traveled with Jesus.

Job had a great life until Chaos showed up on the scene. Job had to resist blaming God for it. He learned the blessing of trusting God, despite the mess around him and "friends" that ACCUSED him of some secret sin.

Accuser, is another name of Satan. We all need to pay attention to the signs of his presence. Stay in the Bible and even READ IT OUT LOUD. He doesn't want to hear it. Praise, and sing Jesus Loves Me if that's all you can think of, in the "battle."

When Jesus was facing a battle, He got away from the crowd and Prayed. Always. That's our Example.

In the Book of Job, satan was around taking notes on Jobs weak areas. Job sacrificed & made offerings for his partying children. So Satan attacked Job, through his FAMILY first. He wiped out everything Job had with storms (tornadoes?). Except the nagging wife.

When we see CHAOS in our lives, it is solid evidence that satan is involved. Know who your enemy is. Don't lose your faith and trust in God.

Go on YouTube, type in Spiritual Warfare sermons, and get informed. Try some by Derek Prince or Charles Capps. Don't collapse in a heap yet. Learn how to fight back; in the power of Jesus name, and by the shed blood of Jesus. Ephesians 6. Demons are invisible, but we see the CHAOS of their presence. Fight and don't back down. We are victors, not victims.

Set your house in order. Don't worry about what anyone thinks. Let them see you at the kitchen table with an open Bible. Pray psalms out loud. Don't be a doormat.
  • Karen Weber on Isaiah 56 - 4 years ago
is this referring to the New Covenantwhich Christ ratified with His own blood? Will the Jews that did not comprehend this born again status be in hell? Or do they ALL get a chance to repent from Christ's attunement till His Coming...

  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on Ecclesiasticus 8 - 4 years ago
    Good morning brother,

Truly no one knows the exact time of the "end" except our Father in Heaven. Though we must be vigilant in what is going on in the world around us. I would say things are getting quite Biblical/historical.

As you stated what is most important for us is to keep our faith in the Lord. Focus on Him with a pure heart. To be ready for Him at the time we least expect. As any of us could die/be killed at any moment which to me can be paralleled to the coming of the Lord. Weather we are to be here to see the end, or not, to me does not really make much difference. The Lord is everything to me. As everything in this world is vanity.

Matthew 10:34-38. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.

    Matthew 24:42-51.

Luke 9:60-62. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

The devil is very cunning and crafty. It may not be as easy to spot certain things, of the end, as some perceive it. We are living in times like never before. I myself see this shot as "them" trying to corrupt the flesh of people. Why God flooded the world in the time of Noah. Only God knows if I'm right or wrong. The truth shall come to light one day.

God Bless you my brother. Have a wonderful day.

    Cb,

If you read in the book of Revelation about the mark of the beast, you will find that there is a prerequisite to receiving the mark. A person can not just show up and receive the mark. In order to receive the mark, a person has to first bow down and worship the beast or the antichrist. Revelation tells us that this mark was placed either on the forehead or the hand. When the antichrist is revealed, everyone who is alive on this earth will know who he is. He will demand that people worship him. A person must worship him first before they can receive the mark.

Now, if you are a believer and have been born of God's Spirit, you will never worship the antichrist, which means you can't receive the mark. The scripture is clear that a person who is a "Christ Follower," they will not follow the voice of a stranger.

I don't see how this vaccine fits the description of the mark. John lays it all out in the book of Revelation about the events that must first take place before the mark can be received and that time has not come yet.

Please know that this mark is not just given freely to people. You cannot receive it unless you bow down and worship the beast. And how can you worship the beast if he hasn't been revealed yet?

    Hello,

    Link

As far as whether appropriate to call out others' sin, I personally would not in most situations. If openly called out to someone's face or in public, I think it sometimes has the opposite effect, because someone may be viewed as 'judging' others, and since everyone is imperfect, you may be highly scrutinized and the next time you sin yourself or make the slightest mistake you might be branded as a 'hypocrite' and their perception of Christianity may be even lower than before.

I personally think everyone is born with right and wrong- a moral conscience. When people who don't know God commit sin they usually feel guilt in my opinion. I think only through conditioning can this be suppressed. I think people know homosexuality is unnatural and wrong and will have feelings of guilt already that they have to suppress in order to continue that. I think the same guilt is present for a variety of perversions like sodomy, incest, bestiality. Of course those committing it will defend it rigorously with a logical fallacy by claiming you're denying them the ability to 'love', but obviously it's the act itself. People are commanded to love everyone as ourselves. Love the sinner, hate the sin. ButI personally think the best strategy is to love others and withhold your comments until you build rapport and if you show you care they someday may ask you your opinion and you may at that time have credibility. No one would be alive today without the symbiosis of male/female.
