Greetings Stewart, peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I understand what you mean, a few people think I'm "crazy" because I take the whole bible literal. I know some passages are symbolic etc. But when Jesus said to the the rich man ( Matthew 19:21) "Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." I took this literal. My PC and TV is all that I own and I only use it to study. Stay off youtube etc. ( Matthew 24:23) "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not." Instead continue to ( 2 Timothy 2:15) "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

If it is, I wouldn't get out my telescope (little humor) But is it saying God (in place of north ) reveal the direction of Heaven?

Also of course for your words, I will continue to do so. God Bless You! and I love you as Christ loved me. We must encourage each other, rebuke out of love and I let pride get in the way of my taking advice from others.

    Hi Lee,

That's a nice visual: the calvary (angels) coming and kicking up dust. The Jewish historian, Josephus, who lived in the first century, wrote about people seeing angels and chariots in the Jerusalem sky in the years just prior to the Roman destruction.

That info is in : Flavious Josephus, The Wars of the Jews, 6.5.3

My hunch is you are spot on that the clouds represent the heavenly host of angels. Why would Jesus come alone? He is a great King and his angels would want to come with him for this momentous and wonderful occasion.

    Come Lord Jesus. Soon. Amen!

    Hello Stewart

Everybody goes through the same things during our lives here on earth. It is a course with plains and mountains along the way. You are on a mountain right now but what follows will be a plain, it can't be always mountains.

This is where we need the help and fellowship of other believers and their prayers accompaning our own. Don't stop praying, don't stop studying and keep being among believers. Eventually a time will come that you be freed from what is happening to you now. If this is a relief, we all go through the same situations, it is not only you. Maybe you seek some spiritual advice from the pastor or elders of your congregation? GBU

First of all thank you all for your words of uplifting encouragement! I let the devil put on pity party for me and doubted what I have learned. Yes I don't understand everything and sometimes even the questions I am asked and let pride take over. I love you all as Christ loved me.

Now latest discussions on Heaven. I take the Gen 1:1 literal as we all do, until it is not possible. Then it is a figurative truth. Is its literal in Psalms 75:6-7?

1st, 2nd, 3rd Heaven....1)I thought it was the sky, 2) was the part where there is no more air from there to the 3) Heaven itself. Where God is, has day and night. A better country, many mansions streets of gold. Temples and a Throne where God sits Jesus at His right.

In Psalms 75:6 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. (God is in Heaven)

So Heaven is North? Could've said side to side or beneath but up.

And God Bless you for you words of kindness, encouragement. But tell me if I am wrong here, and I will take advice like I said before, and let the devil get at me. Ready for advice, because I wondered at this scripture myself, it is saying Heaven is literally north of Earth.

    Hi Jordyn,

I also agree with you that Jesus was not born in December. You probably already know that he was most likely born in the fall. Sometime around the Feast of Tabernacles. There are several reasons for thinking this is true.

Thanks, Jordyn, for the points that you bring up.

    Hi Jordyn,

agree with you that Christmas is NOT a Biblical holiday. It has pagan roots and Santa Claus is actually Satan. He tries to copycat the LORD. (In my opinion, it's like identity theft.)

    1. God's throne is in the north. Santa comes from the North Pole.

    2. Santa says "HoHo Ho". There are 13 Biblical references to "Ho". For example, Zechariah 2:6 "Ho,ho, come forth and flee from the land of the north." (The north in this particular case is on physical earth, historically speaking. )

    3. Santa knows if you've been good or bad, a copycat of our LORD's omniscients.

Like every subject, a lot more can be said, but I'll stop here. In my family, we raised our children with Christmas and Easter. About 12 years ago, I learned the truth. Unfortunately, our adult children still do those holidays. I suppose it's hard to break a fun tradition. But, my husband and I celebrate ,instead, the feasts of the LORD. And, since Jesus is mentioned as being in Jerusalem during the feast of lights (a civil holiday), we do Hanukkah.

Thank You and God Bless You Jema

I just take it literal like we take Gen 1:1 literal, until it not possible, then its a figurative truth.

I feel much better, I let satan put me in pity party. But since age 5 I was raised in church until I turn my back on God at age 15. I just recently got back up. I was once in Church 6 days a week (Moose Factory Christian Academy of Education, Church services, boys and girls club until age 12 then its Youth Service Fridays. Of course we can do that and still not go to Heaven, its a day to day hour by hour second by second constant relationship with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.) In my suffering, I will rejoice anyways.

Love you as Christ loves us all, and Me. (Moose Factory, ON Canada is where I am from)

    Oseas, 2/2

The following verse shows clearly what the ancient people believed it was universe, " "And every creature which is in heaven(sky), and on the earth(land), and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them,... "

    2. My belief is that the Word is not literally the person God. But when God says a word, an order, a command, that is done. Not like doing magic, but it is the Spirit who brings in existence all that He commands.

    3. Moses and Elijah appeared on that mountain talking to Jesus. Did they have to travel through the universe to be brought there? Here there maybe 2 cases.

    a. Yes, with the speed of Spirit, ie in a split second,

    b. No, since before Jesus' resurrection all people were down the deepest of earth, inside Hades, the righteous in Abraham's bosom and the unrighteous in Hell. So they were brought from underneath. Unless the position of Hades in the deepest of earth is something figurative and not literal and Hades exists somewhere else.

This is how I see those brother.

Blessings and wish you a blessed week.

    Hello Oseas, 1/2

    1. As I said before in Hebrew heaven and sky is the same word. Brother Ronald wrote a very good comment explaining that.

Now to understand what ancient people meant with heaven/sky we have to understand what they considered of universe at those times. When they looked around them all they could see was a land that was flat. They didn't know anything about planets, their shape, etc. They didn't know how long and wide that land was, some thought it was limitless, some thought after that imaginary limit only chaos exists, others that it was supported by some sort of foundations, etc. In Bible it says the 4 corners of earth, thus including every land (in Hbr and grk earth and land is the same word). When they looked up to the sky they saw a blue thing, the sky, with some lights (the sun, the moon, the stars) moving along and across the sky, in a circular mode, so they assumed there was something like a solid dome. They didn't know anything about planets, stars, they thought those were some sort of lights, as I said. They didn't know how far those lights were from the land, so they placed them at the edge of the sky. They had no idea what exists after the sky, like a place with no air, no gravity, etc. That was their universe, the land and the sky up. So when they used to read Genesis about the creation, the phrase "God created the earth/land and the sky/heaven" for them it was the whole universe. Just that, the land and the sky. They imagined that God should live in a place further away than that sky/heaven, so they placed God's residence somewhere above that dome. Today we say after the universe as we know it today, and this seems to be write, unless someome believes that God's spiritual world exists inside the universe but can not be seen. This is what they meant with the word "heaven", everything that was above the land they were walking on. They didn't distinguish between the material and the spiritual world. Heaven for themwas just the sky above

    Hello Spencer.

Back to the discussion we were having. My thoughts about that and what I have been tought are:

In Matthew 16:19 and John 20:21-23, Jesus gives the apostles the right to forgive sins. So what does that mean? That they can take God's right to forgive or not? Well this doesn't sound right, does it?

I will go to that incident in Corinth whre a brother was having an affair with his father's wife. Paul suggests the members of that church to ( 1 Cor 5:4-5) " 4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus."

A similar case is described in Matthew 18:15-18. It is the case that a brother sins to another brother and dispite the church telling him to repent he wouldn't repent, so Jesus said "17And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

The above are cases that the church has the right to bind and free, forgive or not. The right of the church to exlude somebody from the congregation and deliver him to satan.

But a question may arise. What if the church is wrong and the specific brother is right. We know from history that many churches took advantage of those verses and exluded believers for all sort of reasons, even political reasons. I firmly believe that in such cases God doesn't pay any attention to such decisions, actualy He is the one who forgives or not.

But I would also like others to comment on those verse and see what they believe.

    Have a blessed week.

I am just trying to be FULL of FAITH by remaining faithFUL and obey Jesus commands as best I can. I pray my name is written in the book of life. If I am one that is left behind then so be it. God' judgement is just and righteous and I am without excuse.

    God bless you, brother.

    Hello Jordyn,

The RIGHTEOUS dead are raised at the FIRST resurrection to eternal life. The UNRIGHTEOUSNESS dead are raised at the SECOND resurrection. They will face the judgement seat of Christ and then they will die eternally. Their soul will die.

Below, verse 24 emphasizes that 'once saved, always saved' is a dangerous lie. How many children were saved in Sunday school and assume, as adults ,they are saved. But, they don't give one thought to God as an adult and they do not pursue sanctification in their life. Anyway, the following scripture is from Ezekiel:

"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

But, if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes and do that which is right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? Saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

But when the righteous turn away from his righteousness, and committed iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them shall he die." Ezekiel 18:20-24

    HI,

    Pray for understanding.

    It is written in

    Revelation 1:3,KJV

    3.Blessed is he that readeth,

and they that hear the words of this prophecy,

and keep those things which are written therein:

for the time is at hand.

My recommendation to all the Christian who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, those using this online tool. Get yourself familiarise with the Hebrew and Greek languages of scripture (interlinear bible) and if By the grace of God Study both Languages

-In the Hebrew the word God and Heaven is revealed to us (Human-Beings) in Plural

-Elohim =GOD which singular Eloah and in Plural ELOHIM.

-Heaven= eshmim which is the heavens in Plural .

-Therefore, when you Read in Genesis 1:20 you will be confronted with this fact God says Let us which is in Plural Indicting One Yet Three in the Scriptures.

-Mind you this Fact is found All over the Scripture and it is written in 1 John 5:7, KJV

7.For there are three that bear record in heaven,

    the Father, the Word, and

the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

(Time is at Hand we are living at the end of days.)

Repent of your sins and do not be deceive Amen.

    Ps,115:16 The Heavens (3 of 3)

Cloud of witnesses also form part of this heaven. (He.12:1) In short the Land of the living where these are alive and are in the presence of God. God is the God of the living and it is how we live two worlds at a time. "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." (Matt.22:32). Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God./For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."(Matt.22:29)

The three heavens are a generic label for the kingdom of God whose word is the Law. According to the key text God has allowed children of Man the run of the earth but shall call them to account. So how do we come to the inheritance of the saints in light?

We walk by faith. it applies to us so we run our race looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. We live both worlds at the same time. Nothing less shall justify being a child of God. (Ro.8:14)."

    Ps.115:16 (2 of 3)

St John is set in the first heaven . Trinity is present here. "And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind." the body, the seven Spirits of God and the soul is indicated by lightenings or the glory of the Son.

Principle of Similitude sets the firmament, where the sea of glass bears relationship with the sky.separating the waters above and below.(Ps.19:1). Altar of souls remind us of the martyrs resting for a season.

Third heaven is "And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."(Re. 5:10)

Think of it as schematic diagram from the throne forming the apex to a base, a cone for example. Isaiah speaks of it as a tent, tepee or whatever, "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:"(Is.40:22) The earth is laid out as circle within this cone.

"The third heaven can be considered as the great congregation to which Jesus visited in his Spirit and preached, "By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison."(1 Pe.3:19) Psalm 40:9-10 predicts this. "I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest."

    Ps.115:16 The Heavens (1 of 3)

"The heaven, eventhe heavens, arethe LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men."

St Paul speaks of a man 'such an one caught up to the third heaven,' and we shall consider this from all evidence set down by the Holy Spirit.(2 Co.12:2).

Firstly the two worlds framed by the word of God according to the key text are of God and of his Son who is the visible image of the invisible God. This invisible God has a throne which Isaiah assigns to the Father.(He.11:3;Is.66:1)

"And, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." (Re. 4:2) "And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God."(v.3)

'Thundering' explains the word of God sent forth. These have a circuit "There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard./Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun," (Ps.19:3-5) The Spirit sets the sun of righteousness as a bridegroom. He is referring to the Man component in the Fellowship of God with Man.

Heavens declare the glory which encapsulates the Gospel of God and the earthly ministry of his Son. Coming back to the vision of St John, "And when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. In Re.110 vv.4-5 explains it, "And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not." The Gospel of Christ has been proclaimed so John was not to write them down. It is part of the everlasting gospel. "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people," (Re.14:6-7) Thrust of this is in v.7.

We have clear exposition of the three heavens Up and Down in Re.4 and Re.5

" and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." (4:2) "And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God."(v.3)

These are set vertical from throne forming the apex to a base, a cone for ecample.

1 John 4:4 He that is with you" (3 of 3)

In exercising the sword of Spirit we ward off many thrusts of the enemy even this moment. Ungodly world encourages a child of God to join with them in many hare-brained schemes be it Ponzi scheme or Pro-life marches or pro Israel. Palestine nation reduced to misery without basic amenities did not raise even a murmur from the Christian world against giving a better life to them. What hypocrisy is to take a march for the unborn? Here was a news item, "The fentanyl that killed a one-year-old child at a nursery in New York City was hidden in the nap room under a mat as he slept, police say.". Local churches turn a blind eye to the free flow of dangerous drugs falling into the hands of the vulnerable but they are most vocal for the rights of the foetus! These sort of activism are not from God but from Satan. The word of God is to be used for his glory and not from some worthless political causes.

There was war in heaven and in the Book of Daniel and Revelation we see bad actors spiritual darkness getting involved in the nations. Unknown to us we are engaged in a spiritual struggle against the powers of darkness. There are rules of engagement to which we have our roles, "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity."(1 Co.16:13-14)

"And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand thatisupon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many." ( Josh 11:3-4) The Spirit gives us as total numbers from both worlds of the Spirit and of the body. Here is another passage, "And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them./And thus I saw the horses in the vision,..."(Re.9:16-18)

St. John heard the number and it is a vision given to him. The Spirit gives us a clue. 'Third of men killed''/ The number tag of Three sets in context of the of Son. ( John 16:33)
