    FormerHanley,

What you have witnessed I know not. What I do know is I myself have been Blessed to have received the Holy Ghost and I do not speak in tongues or "unknown tongues". The Spirit of Christ resides in me.

Where have you learned that speaking in tongues is "the gift"? Have you read ( 1 Corinthians 12? It explains "spiritual gifts". That there are diversities of "gifts" but the same Spirit. All unique members in the one body of Christ.

To try and move this to a higher level. What does speaking in "tongues" do for the Will of God? So your praise or prayer to the Lord is more important that my prayers? Because you don't know what your speaking but God does? I pray, praise, and give thanks from the heart as a loving child. If you have zeal for tongues, ok. I have zeal to follow Jesus Christ and do the Will of our Father in Heaven.

If you want to tell me I have not received the Holy Ghost because I don't speak in "tongues" know this. You do not know who you are posting to. You shall have to give account for your own words. Be careful.

    God Bless you.

    Greetings in Jesus' name, Richard,

In every instance when a Christian received the gift of the Holy Ghost after the New Testament began in the book of Acts (the first Church), it was always accompanied with speaking in another tongue (Samaritans: Acts 8:16-18 , Gentiles- Acts 10:46, Jews- Acts 19:1-6).

This is the proof or earnest (token) of a Christian's inheritance ( Ephesians 1:14).

This was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

With all due respect, a Christian does not receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and is not sealed thereby the moment they believe as many lying pastors/theologians teach (along with other false doctrines like the "trinity" "once saved always saved" "purgatory" etc). Likewise a feeling of peace is not evidence you have received the Holy Ghost. While I do agree there are many that speak false tongues in emulation (primarily in the "Pentecostal/Apostolic" businesses), that does not invalidate the real thing.

May I ask you Richard (in Christ), have you been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins ( Gal. 3:27)?

    Sincerely,

    Andrew

My Witness brother is saying there will be no prophets after Jesus's death, I have a hard time time with that message. Can you help me where in King James there is proof of prophets. I believe there are modern day prophets. Why the difference in beliefs.

Kathy, may the Spirit grace you with His wisdom and His understanding.

2 Corinthians 1:22 Who (Christ) has SEALED us, and given us the earnest (down payment) of the Spirit in our heart.

Ephesians 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel (CHRIST IN YOU) of your salvation: in whom also after that you BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the holy Spirit of promise.

(vs 14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

At the redemption (the death of the body of flesh) you will be given the Spirit without measure and a glorified body.

1 Peter 1:21 Who (you) by him (Christ) do BELIEVE in God, that raised him from the dead, and gave him glory; that your FAITH (CHRIST) and hope might be in God.

    CHRIST IN YOU

Galatians 2:16 .....but by the FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST, even we have BELIEVED (by his faith) in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the FAITH of Jesus Christ.....

Romans 8:29 For whom (you) he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he (CHRIST IN YOU) might be the first born of MANY BROTHERS.

I see where you have stated 'the Holy Ghost and the Comforter are one' from chapter14. But nowhere does 14 state Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit are one. The Holy Spirit is the holiest of all spirits, it is the spirit of the Father Jehovah, while the Comforter is the 'comfort' (knowledge of the truth)

given to the members of God's true church, the church of God. The Holy Ghost is the anointing given to those of the true church, the spiritual baptism.

My question to you is, do you believe 'in' Christ or 'on' Christ?

Hi Mishael, your right, we all should read Job 38. It is amazing and unimaginable we are as a speck compared to the glorious power of God and to know, He loves us and gave His only begotten Son for us to live through Him.

    Thanks, Ron

Hi Sacha, you can feel the sincerity in the words of your posts they shine, and I agree, may the ones we help and show compassion to, will see who has given us the strength to come through our trials.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

God bless you and your family, Ron

    GOD'S PASSOVER

May the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Exodus 12:1-51 God would deliver his people out of Egypt with one last plague (Death). The people were told to kill a lamb and cover their house with it's blood. Death would passover the houses covered with the blood of the lamb.

God's word says that the old was a shadow of the new (true). Therefore, Christ's (the true lamb) blood will cover his house (whose house we are, ( Hebrews 3:6). DEATH WILL PASSOVER

1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?

Christ is our PASSOVER from death to LIFE.

    Manaia,

Jeremiah 19:9 literally says, And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and everyone shall eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the desperation, with which their enemies, and those who seek their lives, shall drive them to despair.

I don't see how Jeremiah 19:9 backs up what you are saying about the Covid vaccine? This is not the first time we have gone through a pandemic, and it seems like every time we do, we hear people say this is the end of the world, the mark of the beast, and such.

I think Jeremiah 19:9 may have already been fulfilled. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, basically He was saying that in 40 years this city is going to be taken by the Roman Army. One of the things that happened was the Roman Army cut off their food supply and wouldn't let anybody out. And they were starving to death.

And there are historical accounts of people eating their children as a means to eat because they were in despair because their food supply was cut off and they refused to give up to the Romans. They refused to give up even to the point of eating their own children just to stay alive.

I believe that's what that verse is referring to, unrelated to Covid or the vaccine.

I was 55 at that time, and it hit me one day, that I might not have another 15 years to hate what that person did to me.

I walked around the house saying, I forgive you... and one day I realized I didn't feel those feelings anymore. I was set free! It's a miracle.

GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Mark 1:14-15 Now after John was put into prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the GOSPEL of the kingdom of God.

(vs 15) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe the GOSPEL.

    Repentance is not the GOSPEL.

Psalms 52:1 Why BOASTEST thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man; the goodness of God endureth continually.

Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his GOODNESS and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the GOODNESS of GOD leads to repentance.

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, Lo there! behold, the kingdom of God is WITHIN you.

    THIS IS THE GOSPEL!

Colossians 1:27 ..... which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory.

You are baptised (not by physical water; but with living water) INTO CHRIST!

The baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire Matthew 3:11

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

  • How to use This Website Search Engine on Philippians 1 - 4 years ago
Tell me why we don't go at the Bible the same way? Dig, dig deeper, read commentaries ON HERE or read commentaries on Google. Just type scripture verse and type, commentary after it.

The Holy Spirit is your TEACHER. Ask Him. If you'll sit still long enough and be quiet, you will get answers.

    PRAY for a TEACHABLE spirit.

Get a KJV Study Bible that has Center of Each page, reference columns: with the abc notes imbedded within the scriptures. Those send you to other scriptures that EXPAND the meanings or reveal a prophesy.

Back Arrow out of this room to the Search Box. Go to the top.

Put a scripture in it or just a word (like worms) hit the arrow. The search engine will pull up ALL verses with 'worms' in it.

Touch or click the verse and it will highlight yellow.

Scroll downward to the Commentary Box. Click that. It will show you what the scholars interpret that scripture to mean. If there isn't one, then exit and do the same thing on GOOGLE. Type the scripture and spell out Commentary, or History, or Teaching.

Questions answered. It makes studying fun and interesting.

You cannot get lost. Use the back arrow or just exit this site and come back in Again.

There's a quickie link from KJV to Google to help you find a scripture you're unsure about. Access that through the SEARCH BOX. Like: "Many are called but few are chosen."

Learn to study! For yourselves. Share what you find, on here. IT IS FUN! God speaks to us through His Word.

When you sit down to study: you pray: "I HAVE THE SAME MIND OF CHRIST !!" I receive it by faith right now. God watches over His Word To Perform it.

    Habakkuk 2:2-4.

You will find your Identity in the Bible.

You gotta get plugged into the Holy Spirit. Depend on Him. Pursue Him. Be quiet and Listen To Him.

Absolutely! Some of us are living Jobs life.

He was a righteous man. Yet he learned some things about abiding love; the magnificent power of God.

We should all read the part about God's storehouses of rain, hail, snow; it's relevant now.

JOB 38. (Read all of it)

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

    23. Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

Little prairie chickens hide in the bushes; always eyes downward looking for their food. Never looking UP at what is above their heads.

The eagle flys far above the ground, miles above. His vision is so acute and great, he can spot his food at a very great distance. His prey never sees what hit them.

We feed on Gods Word to gain wisdom, spiritual discernment: knowledge of the Holy. We will NEVER see the enemy if we don't consume Gods Word like it was a buffet of our most favorite foods. If you want 2nds and 3rds, God will provide to satisfy. HUNGER after righteousness, and it will be given.

    This is the TERMINAL GENERATION.

I was just getting ready to post a reply but I see no need to add anything to what you just said. Amen!

I think many people are being ruined today by this teaching. My personal belief is that the "tongues" that are being taught today are not the tongues of the bible!

    Jason,

I don't know of any place in scripture that keeps a woman from preaching. I think both men and women are free to preach the gospel message.

However, even though a woman is free to preach all she wants, she is not allowed to be in a position of authority over the men in the church. In other words, she is not allowed to pastor a church where she would be placed in a position of authority over the men.

Therefore, she cannot teach. A pastor must be both a preacher and a teacher. I would have to take some time in the scripture to give you a more detailed answer but would be more than happy to do so if you wish. If you just want some verses, I can give you those. But if you want an explanation, I would need a little more time.

As for marrying a divorced lady, that is debatable, but not able to answer without knowing the circumstances of her divorce, and I'm not going to ask.

Everyone & all the universe is Christian, proof by Jesus said "before the world was", Saint John 17:3-5, proof by His resurrection-ascension into heaven, eye witnessed, Saint Luke 24:51-53, is clear proof of the Holy source of life & everyone's salvation forevermore.

GOD did not make death, only "Love thy neighbor as thyself, 10 Commandments "Moses wrote of me" Saint John 5:46, & the Lord's Prayer, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven", proof by resurrected-ascent into heaven Son Jesus to live forever, eye witnessed, Saint Luke 24:51-53, is the same for "born again" Christians, Saint John 3:3-9.
