Ephesians 1:13-14 13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory.

Christians go astray and do things they should not do. BUT God is longsuffering. And if they were truly born again they will repent. If they don't return, yes, their Christianity is in question.

    To Doris Crews

For the same reason he hid himself amongst the stuff. He was overwhelmed and scared and by right he should be. Imagine being placed in charge to lead God's people in times of war when you have seen what happened to the kings of the other nations. A king has to die before a nation is conquered. The first is always a sacrifice for the greater. Example of this can be seen with Adam and with Jesus. Look and see what these two are the first of. God bless you

We were all born into sin. Some we accidentally commit and can readily ask the Father to forgive. But we do commit sin that we do not realize we are committing. Thus, when I pray, I confess and ask forgiveness for each sin I am aware of committing and "Please forgive me for those sins I have forgotten and for those sins I am not even aware of committing."

So when Satan is thrown into the pit to burn forever along with his angles and sinners you think this will be "on" the earth? What about deut. 32:22 "unto the lowest hell", Job 11:8 "deeper than hell", Psalm 55:15 "let them go DOWN quick", hell is not a fire on earth!

    Darren,

You seems to be fixed on judgment for just two nations out if all the earth, and which seems to bring you joy,

If you answer these questions I will go into a dialog with you. We have heard and often hear this theology you're attempting to draw a comment on..

My first question is are you a Christian?

What is your Soteriology? "Doctrine of Salvation"

Do you believe "ALL" the inspired scripture and God is more than able to preserve his word?

Do you see any nation or any ethic group of people escaping the judgment of God?

And last but not least, By which way will you and anyone else escape the judgment of God?

There were three members of Herod's family were fixed prominently in the life of Jesus.

Herod the Great was the king when Jesus was born. When he died, Herod Archelaus ruled in his place. Herod Antipas ruled Galilee during the time of Jesus' public ministry. He was the one who had John the Baptist executed.

  • Circumcision - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 4 years ago
    Circumcision is in the Heart

Comment by Mishael: In the Bible circumcision was the sign of being in covenant with God. In the New Testament Paul had to teach that circumcision was now in the heart. (Stoned many times for that). A new and better Covenant was secured by Jesus on the Cross; ratified by His own blood.

    OLD TESTAMENT

    Genesis 17:10

This is my COVENANT which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

    Genesis 17:11

And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the COVENANT betwixt me and you.

    Genesis 17:12

And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

    Genesis 17:13

He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

    Deuteronomy 10:16

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your HEART and be no more stiffnecked.

    NEW TESTAMENT

    Acts 7:51

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in HEART AND EARS, you do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you (now).

What is the meaning of beguiled?

verb (used with object), beguiled, beguiling. to influence by trickery, flattery, etc.; mislead; delude. to take away from by cheating or deceiving (usually followed by of): to be beguiled of money.

Eve did not have intercourse with the SERPENT. He was jeweled and pretty but he was not a man

Before anyone says it.... Cain was not satans kid.

Then one of David's family members might have killed you.

Jesus said to turn the other cheek. If people did that, especially Christians, we wouldn't have endless tit for tat gang violence. Thousands per year murdered and the cycle never ends. Everyone is justified and gets 'revenge' in their own mind. But it's an endless cycle. Anytime you kill or hurt others, you put a target on yourself. Someone somewhere will want to harm you or your family. What David did was absolutely evil, but no, I would not continue the cycle of violence, because that would be sinful and evil. Self defense is different.
  • Gifts of the Holy Spirit or Praying in the Spirit on Genesis 3 - 4 years ago
Seems that in recent days, there had been a lot of comment concerning speaking in tongues. 1 Corinthians chapter 14 has the greatest amount of information there.

In my experience, the Holy Spirit is the Giver of His gifts. He decides, not us. praying in the spirit is different. Sometimes described in groanings that issue from your innermost being. You can Search that word in the Search Box.

Your rational (sometimes carnal mind) doesn't understand the language. However, your born again) spirit does. Emotions are comforted and peace comes to you. Your prayer time flows when you are calm. You hear the Holy Spirits replies to questions. That may not occur if you constrain your time to a half hour or less. Sitting quietly waiting for His word, takes longer usually. Don't be composing a grocery list etc

Psalm 100:4. "Enter His courts with thanksgiving and praise." Try singing a favorite hymn.

Listen for that still, small voice. Malachi 3:16-18

And then you will desire those moments with the Lord.

Truly if your house is overflowing with children, their friends, pets... you may have to sneak out to the car to be edified in your being.

The gifts of Tongues and the gift of Prophesy work together. An utterance will be Confirmed from the mouths or 2 or 3 people with the gift of prophesy to speak it out in English or in your language. That's how it works usually. Date and write it down.

I am going to add; the voice of the Holy Spirit singing, will capture your heart forever.

  • S Spencer - In Reply on Numbers 8 - 4 years ago
Hi Dawn, So you said "since this is a place to ask questions so you decided to give it a shot", So how about we first deal with Gen. 4:1-2. That verse is literal and quite direct.

Genesis 4:1. And "ADAM" knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, ""I HAVE GOTTEN A MAN FROM THE LORD."" This phrase defines Cain

In verse 2 it says "And she (AGAIN) bare his brother Abel". NO TWINS HERE!! Separate birth.

This could have happened several years later as far as we know.

when it comes to child birth the scripture is careful to mention twins if they're present as it did Essau and Jacob.

Genesis 4:2 And she ""AGAIN"" bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

You stated Eve was Beguiled "sexually seduced" by Satan.

That would be way out of context considering she was answering a direct question from the Lord!

Genesis 3:13. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, ""AND I DID EAT""

How was she beguiled? By leading her astray from God's command.

If you take this definition below of beguiled and what happens in Gen 3. it's clear we have a picture of deception!! How did you get sexually seduction out of that and disregard Genesis 4:1?

    Hebrew:

    Transliteration: nsh'

    Pronunciation: naw-shaw'

    Definition: A primitive root; to lead {astray} that {is} (mentally) to {delude} or (morally) to seduce: - {beguile} {deceive} X {greatly} X utterly.

    KJV Usage: deceive(12x), greatly(1x), beguiled me(1x), seize(1x), utterly(1x).

    Occurs: 16

    In verses: 15

Besides it could have been a 100 years between Genesis 3:13 and Genesis 4:1.

Please give us your interpretation of Genesis 4:1 since it is scripture we cannot discard it.

And I will deal with the Genealogy. Genesis 4:1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten ""A"" man ( not twins) from the LORD. Waiting on your response.

-What did God mean when He said He would punish both houses of Israel (house of Israel & house of Judah) 7 times if they did not obey? Leviticus 26:18 "And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins." What does that prophesy have to do with a split Israel?

-What was the blessings Jacob laid upon the sons of Joseph in Gen 48?

-What nations did Ephraim & Manasseh & Judah become?

    -Who are the birthright people?

-When did the house of Israel go into captivity?

-When did the house of Judah go into captivity?

Knowing the answers will reveal who these people are today.

It's enlightening to see prophesy unfold, and know it.

Well, the pit as referenced in the Bible relates to the grave and/or hell. Remember after God created the earth He said there is no man to till the ground? Now think, why would God need a man to till the ground? Well this goes to show that this creation was not meant to be paradise forever. By this I mean, there are 3 reasons why we till the ground. 1: to lay a foundation to build a house to live in. 2: to plant a garden for food to live and 3: so our offspring can bury us when we die.

This pit the Bible refers to is the latter. The LORD said "you shall surely die " referring to the finality of the knowledge of evil for the entire creation. Those who God choose from the foundation of the world will not remain in the grave for the dead in Christ shall rise first. Hope this helps. God bless you

    Mystery Babylon is America.

Where is America to save Israel from desolation, captivity? ( Luke 21:20-24)

They are gone, taken down to hell by the abomination of desolation ( Joel 2:1-11).

Anti-christ rules between the 6-7th trumpets for 42 months.

    America & Israel's violent death.
