" For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad./Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences."(2 Co.5:10-11)

Every Christian has to know that he was called for a purpose. 'For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. "(Ph.3:21). The body that was prepared for the Son applies to us as well. So time and place are to be understood for what they are. Thus we have an earthly tabernacle but we desire'to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven.'(2 Co.5:2)

Time is bound with the fulness of Christ and whatever we see around are given to changes therefore unreliable. Whereas the word of God is eternal. (Ps.119:89;He.13:8) Knowing the time is short we are to make the occasion redound to His glory which is on the basis of trust. It requires a clear understanding of the gifts we have received in Jesus Christ. What the world gives perishes with use. "Touch not; taste not; handle not;/Which all are to perish with the using;)/Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh."(Col.2:21-23) after the commandments and doctrines of men?And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.(Ro.12:1)

We have to know the terror of the Lord as St Paul writes is indication of the presence of God such as what Jacob felt at Bethel. (Ge.28:16-17) So let us quit us like men and say boldly with St Paul, " But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus...."(Ac.20:24

    Frankie J,

Please know that I am not ignoring you. I will respond, but since you are accusing me of " rejecting light," and "remaining in unbelief," I will need some time to gather my thoughts before responding to your accusations. However, I will say this up front that it seems odd that someone who has yet to be born again (as you have declared of yourself) would tell me or any born again believer that they are rejecting light and remain in unbelief.

I will respond to the rest later.

    Brother Jordyn,

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that. If I remember right, weren't these people driven out by the Assyrians? And after they were driven out of Samaria, a group of people called the Cutheans moved into that area and later were given the name Samaritans?

I'm probably way out in left field on this one so please correct me if need be. Also, scripture indicates that the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. I believe they were considered unclean by the Jews.

    Blessings to you also!
  • Jordyn - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Brother Jesse:

Was not the ten tribes that broke from Jerusalem referred to as Samaritans, and those Samaritans referred to as dogs, and not gentiles.

Not that it matters, most of us don't know all the Jewish traditions, It's God's choice who is in the city and those outside the walls of the city.

    God Bless YOU!

I had to open a new thread but I thought I would share my opinion. I am not sure whether how far off I am, it might lead you to another idea but when I think of Jesus "cometh with clouds" I imagine of how cavalry when approaching they kick up dust and how from far off looks like a dust storm. I am not quite sure though as my understanding is very limited, sorry.

    Oseas,

The term dogs in Philippians 3:2 is actually making reference to a religious phrase. The Gentiles were considered dogs by the Jews.

There are two words in the New Testament that have to do with a dog. KUNARION ( Matthew 15:26 and Mark 7:27) is a household pet. And then we have a KUON. A Kuon is a wild scavenger. And that's the animal used here.

Gentiles were called Kuon's, wild scavengers, impure, and grungy. So it was an insult to call somebody a Kuon. And so he's using the word Kuon. He says beware of the dogs. The Jews would have understood who he was referring to.

This is the same word (KUON) that's used in Revelation 22:15.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

It is in the prophecies that man goes to heaven, of it that just a doctrine of man.

My question was: Who are the DOGS according to the Word of GOD?

In your reply you try to make your imaginations and speculations mixing with Scriptures as were an answer for the question, but it is not, it is your false testimone of Scriptures according to the your mere presumptions. It's it.

    Jajaz458:

Like I said, you don't understand what happened at Christ's resurrection.

You DIED on the cross with Christ.

    Christ ONLY was raised.

You were made JOINT HEIRS with Christ, you and Christ were MADE ONE.

YOU have no free will, your DEAD, only the NEW CREATION exist.

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit in you, and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes, and keep my judgements and DO THEM.

Your right, God only sees Christ and his righteousness, you being a JOINT HEIR.

Now, are you nothing, or has Christ's resurrection made you SOMETHING.

Proverbs 8:19 MY FRUIT is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than than choice silver.

Hello Stewart, no seven years, sorry but it is a false teaching. Not being argumentative, care to direct this idea to a scripture? Also, there is NO anti-christ peace treaty with Israel, care to direct this idea to a scripture? I'll wait. Too many people claiming to teach on the "prophetic", very, very few even understand the most basic fundamental aspects of what the Word of God teaches concerning the prophetic. Too many have listened to the pure idiocy of the movies, books, and the sermons of left behind manure stinking false doctrines.

I feel you have very good understanding and so I would like to pose to you a question. I believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son is a water baptism necessary towards salvation or is the belief alone enough? I have been given different views on this with bible verses to support their views. I would like to know your thoughts. Thank you and God bless.

    Hi Giannis.

    Thanks for your patience.

Here's the scripture we have in question and how it reads.

    John 20:21-23.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Here we have another one of those passages that has caused a lot of confusion.

I will share my thoughts on these verses.

Previously I stated we don't have "The right " to forgive or retain the sins of people!

I believe as ambassadors for Christ We have the Gospel to present to the lost sinner. If you win a soul by way of the Gospel, you have loosed on earth that is ALREADY loosed in Heaven.

    Only Christ can forgive sins.

I would like to attempt to give more clarity on this.

One of the few translations that reflect key Greek nuances reads as follows

"If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained" The word forgiven is in the perfect tense. NASB.

In verse 22 Jesus breathed on them and said receive the Holyspirit and he sent them out. (After Pentecost)

By this power that they didn't have before, the apostles would be able to make "SPIRIT-LED SENTENCING" AFTER PRESENTING THE GOSPEL.

They would be led or inspired to either pardon or bound according to what has ALREADY been pardoned or bound by God.

I believe we are able to sound the horn of salvation we are not able to make the decision for salvation.

I am not sure about the translations

nevertheless that's the way I see those verses.

    Thanks and God bless.

    -- REV 4:1 - 1260 days + forty and two months - REV 19:11-21--

REV 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (DON'T HAVE TO CALL IT RAPTURE, BUT THAT DAY WILL COME LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT/TRIBULATION STARTS)

REV 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; ('Raptured, caught up, whichever you call it, Saints singing in Heaven before the 1st seal)

REV 11:3 ( two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days) 1260 DAYS

REV 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them." (when? In Rev 13:7)

REV 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, COME UP HITHER. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." (two witnesses resurrected,'raptured', when the beast makes war and kills them in Rev 13:7)

REV 13:5 Best given forty and two months. 1260 days over and 42 months to go.

REV 13:7 Two Witness killed as told in Rev 11:7

Skip To Rev 19:11-21. 2nd coming of Jesus Christ. 7 years. Does not say it, but it is 7 years from the start of Tribulation to the 2nd coming of Christ.

    2 Corinthians 4:3-4

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Rapture just means (A seizing, a Carrying off) Not found in the Bible, describes how it will be to be taken to Heaven. Call it when Those who are ready, are taken.

I think maybe what I stated flew over your head. Gal 6, 3

on top of that till the day you die, it will be the The Lord Christ that The Most High sees concerning you.

Your human nature is SIN if you understand that than you would know you are (Nothing) hence James CH 1, and that every moment you breath it is Christ that The Most High sees. You must be hearing the Lord telling you now (THOU GOOD and FAITHFUL SERVANT).......pretty prideful to say anything good comes from man, after the WORD itself states there is NONE GOOD NOT ONE!

    Mat 19:17

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

    Mar 10:18

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

    Psa 53:3

Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

    Jer 4:22

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

I will give you some encouragement though Galatians CH 6 vs 12-16.

If you choose to acknowledge the fact, ( John 3 vs 19)

    Eph 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

    1Co 7:7

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

    1Th 4:9

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

    Jhn 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

So anyway I get what you are saying, The Most High drew us to Himself but its no excuse to think us as something when we are NOTHING! Because He would never step on your will to choose Its because of His Grace and Kindness that we are even existing.

    Oseas:

Daniel 4:35 .... and God doeth according to HIS WILL in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and NONE can STAY his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou.

Romans 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the SAME LUMP, to make one vessel unto honour, and one vessel unto dishonour.

The dogs without are the vessels of DISHONOUR.

No man has a CHOICE of what he is, it's all GOD"S WORK.

There, but by the grace of GOD go I, a vessel of dishonour.

Passover was the fourteen day after the new year, the new year was about March 21, by our calendar today.

The feast of the weeks could vary, it was based on the firstripe barley.

Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteen day of the first month at eve is the Lord's passover.

Deuteronomy 16:9 Seven weeks shall thou number unto thee, begin to number the days seven weeks from the time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.

Deuteronomy 16:10 And thou shall keep the feast of the weeks unto the Lord ......

"To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;" Isaiah 61:2 KJV

This day is to be considered as part of the day decreed for the Son. This day of vengeance has its own color and weight. For those mourners it is day of joy. ""I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."(v.10) The bride has made herself ready and the Marriage of the Lamb is come.

"For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations." (v.11) Here Isaiah is speaking about heavenly realities. ""It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power./"It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." 1 Corinthians 15:43-44 KJV

Before all nations New Jerusalem is bedecked in glory of the Lord and the holy city of God is "To them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified." Isaiah 61:3 They are planted by God and shall be called Priests unto the Most High. Order of Melchizedek is the Order of the New where the House of prayer is for all nations.

"The King James Bible is one of the great literary treasures our world has ever seen, especially when you consider who wrote the King James Bible, why it was written and when it was written. While it is a literary masterpiece, more importantly it is the Word of God. This is why it has endured. Not because of the commission of King James but because of the commission of God himself. Regardless of how people feel about God's word, you can be confident in knowing that God's word will endure forever.

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever" ( Isaiah 40:8 KJV)"

    Revelation 22:11-12 &15KJV

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, BEHOLD, I COME QUICKLY; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

15 For without are DOGS, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

    Hi Rainwater,

I think that Pentecost is 50 days after Easter Sunday which is the Feast of first fruits, (Shavuot) according to the Law of Moses.

So 7 Sundays after the High Sabbath day of Passover (Saturday) is Shavuot. You can check this out on a refutable Christian site.
