This greater works God means exactly what he said. I have had pastors say he didn't mean it that work. But I believe exactly what he said. HE said whatsoever you ask the father in Jesus name he will do it. Because of our helper, the Holy Spirit, we can do it. The HOLY SPIRIT IS WORKING IN US. That is how it is being done, the greater works, He sent the Holy Spirit to live on the inside of us to do that Greater Works. I can remember sitting in a church to be specific Word of Faith international Christian Center in Southfield,MI. After praise and worship, the usual lady gave a word of prophecy and a minister on stage interpret the prophecy. For the first time in my life I prophesize in the service but the pastor did not interpret the prophecy but God did. There were complete silence in the place for at least 60 minutes as I can remember but Bishop Butler said it was 70 minutes (he couldn't preach, no singing) but suddenly one of the band member was dancing without music, a young man was running very fast. 70 minutes . That occurred in 2007. I had neve experience anything like that God was in control. and he is still in Control. The Holy Spirit is working through us. He said alll things are possible....

Thank you Michael for your two replies, but you haven't answered my questions:

    1. when you pray, do you use the Gift of Tongues (speaking in an unlearned language) or do you pray in a known language?

    2. how do you understand 1 Corinthians 12:28-30, & specifically in relation to Tongues?

    Hi Marilyn

John 8:32 says ..And ye shall know the truth , and the truth shall make you free.......

Whats happening today i see people reading and buying books of other peoples experiences

and believing more what people write about rather then just read the bible and share the experience in company

of the saints in fellowship ...and in order people share what God has done for them ..In Jesus name

Christians are not reading the Bible their reading what Pastors are writing and then compare what he or she has said with the Bible....believing more what the Pastor has written ......

I have had christians say but the Pastor said this and the believe the Pators book over the bible and others people experience ....

I'm requesting prayer from the devils' friends and their darkness of principalities witchcraft handiwork on my mind, body and spirit and their verbal attacks against me to curse the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God for protecting me from them. They have made many claims that servants of God are not praying for anyone they target and victimize but God told that's not true. So I look forward to your prayers.

    Hello Chris

WHen i wrote about healing Jesus layed hands on the sick to heal them and on the dead to raise them back to life

and the blind man and the leper etc ...

The Bible is not written to the understanding of natural man even though many claim they understand it if they did we would all agree with the Word of God proving God right only everyone wants to be right ....

I use scripture makes what people write accountable to God with what they reply and say ....To change or add to the gospel means you add the plagues of the bible to your life and takes you out of the book of life ...Thats why i wrote i agree with whats written that Jesus said we should do to be saved ...

My 1 Favourite scriptures is what Jesus said .... John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and i know them, and they follow me

  • MICHAEL PEREZ - In Reply on Romans 8:9 - 5 years ago
    Hello chris ...

many today past and present have been told you can receive the holy without speaking in tongues

and many believe you can because its what they have been told not experienced ... like the people who fall backwards they call it being slayed in the spirit ) bible says the enemies of god fell backwards .....

1 corinthians 14 v 2 to me says it all ..no one seems to have read what it says ...

it says : for he that speaketh in and unknown speakth not unto men, but god: for no man understandeth him, howbeit in the spirit speaketh mysteries....

1 corinthians 14 v 14 says ...for if i pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfriutful

regarding the fullness of god i relate it to buying a new car if you do not have the key given to you cannot drive off with the car , at the turn of the key opens the power from the battery to start the car

jesus was the fullness of god nothing less at the time of need he used the apporiate gift ..that was required ..like healing - if someone was sick he prayed for them ..if someone had died he raised them back to life etc

Please pray for me. I struggle a lot with being single and I truly desire to be married. I worry that I will never get married and I need God's mercy and help with finding the right Christian lady to marry. I really do desire a marriage that is blessed by God, Proverbs 18:22 is my heart's desire. Please pray that Jesus Christ in His mercy and grace will help me find and marry a wife who is beautiful to me, the helpmeet who is right and best for me. Please pray that Jesus Christ will help me be a good husband. Thank you. May God bless you.

    Hi Rodney,

I believe it's 24 hr period as we know a day to be.

Genesis 1:5 (KJV) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
  • Vincent - In Reply on Judges 7 - 5 years ago
God here is referring to the day of judgment. The body can not live without the soul, but the soul can live without the body. Jesus said "do not fear them that can kill the body, but fear He who can kill both body and soul " I'm paraphrasing.

    KRISTINA,

All that Richard has pointed out is true since The Scriptures are true.

However, I'd like to refine is issue. God is a triune being that Christians refer to a The Trinity: God The Father, God The Son, Jesus and God The Holy Spirit. Each of them is a distinct Person in ONE Being.

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is ONE LORD:"Deu 6:4

Each of them is fully God.

We however are creatures of God's creation. People who have put their trust in Jesus' saving grace through His death, burial and resurrection, are made to be sons of God, but not in the same way as Jesus is God's Only Begotten Son.

    Paul puts it this way:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will," Eph 1:3-5

We are adopted sons, with a full inheritance:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you," 1Pe 1:3-4

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding but I think, actually I'm sure, the sin in the garden of Eden by Adam and Eve did not separate them from God, that will happen on the last day, but what really happened is a broken relationship between us and our God the one and only creater. Separation from God will be one time and one time only which is eternal death. Do you realize it's only 2 people God created? I'll wait for your response, God Bless

It's not the translation of the KJV bible that lacks merit or credibility, but only people that misquote and mistranslate.

Matthew 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"

Revelation 22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Matthew 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Psalms 22:1 "(To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.) My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?"

Matthew 27:46 "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Mark 15:34 "And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Let me answer my question. The reason Adam did not die that same day is, as mentioned in 2 PETER 3:8, a day to God is like a thousand years. So, if Adam lived to 930 years, Adam was 70 years short of a full day. This is why man's life is between 70 and 120 years which is indicated by the death of 2 outstanding men in the Bible; namely King David and Moses. Incidentally, we match up with Adam, but guess who match up with Methuselah who lived to 969 years? I'll wait for your answer.

Also brother Charles (I hope you don't mind me calling you brother and really, we are), the 8 souls that were in the Ark of Noah are the 7 spirits of God plus the spirit of the person. The Ark represents a coffin. The lifting of the ark by the flood waters symbolizes the dead in Christ rising to meet Him in the sky. Thanks for responding.

We often think in terms of the physical, because we are physical beings. The entrance to a place is in a location and there is usually a gate or door that can be opened and closed.

Jesus said, "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."Joh 10:9

So this "gate" or "door" mentioned are metaphors with a specific meaning. In the passage that Chris referenced, the "strait" gate is Jesus Christ and Him alone. Only ONE way. The "wide" gate is every other way than Jesus. The gates are not physical openings or swinging on a hinge.

peter's denial was not at all like the treachery of judas because when christ looked at him at the cock crow he quickly repented as shown by his look of remorse and received grace and this is proven also by christ's foreknowledge and his prayer for peter not to lose faith.

in response to america and biden comment i refer the readers to read the tanakh on is. chapter 18. thehebrews in new york in 1917 translated the hebrew in such a way we can see that america will not lose its blessing for america will bring a present to god which will be the jews at the time the earthly kingdom comes after the tribulation. the kjv says the same but harder to understand. somalia a sea faring nation sends ambassadors to america; the u.n. is at same latitude as somalia; america remains undefeated though largely destroyed. it is made up of tall and glossy people; people who are slick looking like a glossy magazine and is the only nation in the world of significant size divided by so many rivers.

    Hello Kristina,

In my experiences and perception, along with Scripture, you are correct. As of coarse He is our Lord and Eternal King. What started from a very personal experience with the Lord I was led to this answer in the Bible about Jesus being our brother. As when we are born again of the Spirit we are also children of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Romans 8:15-17. Some Scriptures about Jesus being our brother. These are for you:

    Matthew 12:50

    Romans 8:29

    John 6:38

    John 20:17

    ( 1 Corinthians 9:5

    Hebrews 2:11

    Hebrews 2:17

I hope that helps. God Bless.

Did you come up on it by accident?

It's peculiar you never hear their take on the means for salvation.

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Mat 1:21

"And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." Mat 1:25

"And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb." Luk 2:21
  • Vincent - In Reply on Judges 7 - 5 years ago
Jesus said "ye must be born again " is referring to the comforter or the Holy Spirit which one has to have to enter the kingdom of God. Not the will of man but by the will of God. Can you recall the raven Noah first sent out after the flood? Well, that raven represents the spirit of man which did not leave the Ark; instead it went back and forth. Then Noah sent out a dove which represents the Holy Spirit which is the born again spirit of God. So both spirits are alive when a saved person enters the grave. If a person enters the grave without the Holy Spirit, then on judgement day, that soul will be eternally destroyed.
