    Michael,

So no answer to my one question? Thank you.

I never said I "reject" speaking in tongues of the Holy Ghost. I said I have no interest in this gift. Because I have relationship with the Father and speak/pray to Him in Spirit. I said God Bless them that have the gift of speaking in tongues of the Holy Ghost. You are twisting my words.

As it shows again in your previous post. Your zeal seems to be for a tongue. My zeal is for the love of God and to love one another as Jesus Christ taught us. To produce good fruit of the Spirit and do the will of our Father in Heaven.

So you believe in 1 Corinthians 14:2. So do I. What about 1 Corinthians 12:3-11. That states there are diversities in gifts of the Spirit. Read 1 Corinthians 12 again.

Are you saying that I, and others here, are "denying the power of Gods existence"? You know nothing about me and my relationship with the Father. What you are doing is damaging peoples faith and belief in God. Because not everyone who receives the Holy Ghost, and is born again in the Spirit, speaks in unknown tongues.

You can keep condemning us all you want but it shall not change the truth. You shall be held accountable for your words. Just as we all shall.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus Christ professing that the words He spake were spirit. Yet not of an unknown tongue.

    Peace be with you.

1 Corinthians 10:7-15: "And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife."

"But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace."

This passage of Scripture gives one of the best accounts in a difficult marriage. However, the first part of that passage speaks of a wife who for some reason, wants to separate or divorce; she should remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband.

The rest of the passage speaks of a non-Christian & Christian spouse, that they should remain together if they're happy to do so (I think this assumes that some issue has arisen prompting the departure of one); but for whatever it takes, they should try to sort it out & remain together. But if one does separate or divorces, then that is allowed, as they should no longer be under "bondage". Some would take this word to mean that they are free to remarry after divorce, though, given the Scripture that "the twain shall be one flesh" ( Mark 10:8), I take it to mean that both will need to remain unmarried.

And in the case of a spouse committing adultery, he/she would need to get right before God & with the other spouse. But if the other spouse finds no more favor in him/her, then divorce seems appropriate, but again both remaining unmarried until one of them passes away.

    Greetings Marilyn,

God knows who the 144,000 are, and I'm sure they are righteous souls. The 2 witnesses from both houses of Israel are there to document anti-Christs crimes for trial, as required by the law.

Too many people think that Elijah and Moses are the 2 witnesses, which goes to prove how easy it is to be a slave to what someone else believes.

Too many people believe in a pre-6th trumpet, day of the Lord rapture. Rapture is not Bible doctrine. Luke 17: 34-37 Jesus describes those being "taken" at the day of the Lord's visitation. They ask him, Lord, where are they taken? Jesus says you will find the bodies where the vultures are gathered--(they're dead).

However, at the 7th trumpet, the few who make it through the great tribulation are given an air lift to Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 is how it's done. From an earlier question, Revelation 10:7 has a connection to Rev 11:15, providing resolution to the mystery.

I want more too. I'm sure 9-11-01 was Rev 9:1-11; the 5th trumpet sees mystery America terrorizing the world with their phony war on terror. It only makes sense that crooked America gets obliterated at the 6th trumpet, Revelation 9:13-21 by the beast. The Gematria screams inside job as well, God knows they love their witchcraft. Small example of the ritual: The Pentagon is 77 feet tall, it sits on the 77th meridian, and on 'September Eleventh' (77 Reduced Ordinal) was struck by fight 77, 77 minutes after takeoff, traveling at 530 mph (77 feet per second). World Trade Center = 77 (Full Reduction).

May God watch over you, Marilyn.

My husband is very keen on being "the watchman on the wall" like in ?Ezekiel or is that ?Micah... anyhow he is so keen on preaching what he knows to those around us... especially our grown up children that he doesn't want to go to church anymore and would prefer to 'study" at home... ie... study the right wing websites for what horrible things the world leaders are doing now and then exposing these on his Facebook page for all to look at in horror and wring their hands.... I'm kinda tired of living in a "henny penny, the sky is falling" way. I trust that what is happening is still under God's direction and control despite the badness. How can I help my husband see that all is not lost and that God is supreme? I feel strongly he and his cronies are very puffed up and prideful... my husband has said to me that I am "ignorant". I'm not. I just chose to see the good not the continual bad. (all that is good, perfect and acceptable.... dwell on these things.). I'm in need of spiritual help here!

You're quite right Joe, that Paul was at Corinth when the Romans letter was written & then planned to go to Jerusalem to deliver the collection received for the poor folk in Palestine. However, his plans to go to Rome & onto Spain ( Romans 15:24) changed, when he was arrested in Jerusalem & so he may never have got to see the Roman believers, nor did he get to Spain.

Therefore, I understand the salutation given for Andronicus & Junia (his kinsmen & fellow prisoners), probably relate to one of his three imprisonments, that we know of. We're not told which one, or even if Paul was in custody at other times that is not written about in the Scriptures. Anyway, he knew that couple well enough & no doubt their witness was also vibrant as his was, that brought them into Roman bondage at some point.

It sounds like you're attacking the KJV translation, but what makes you an expert? Are you more of an expert than a large team of Greek and Hebrew scholars who spent seven years meticulously going word for word to translate the Bible as accurate as possible? What is your evidence and what are your credentials for claiming that you are right and they are wrong? Have you prayed to God about this before posting your attacks on God's Word or did you just post your attack on a whim?

  • Adam - In Reply on Leviticus 20 - 4 years ago
I disagree. No where in the Bible does it say that 'destroying seed' is a sin. People commonly cite 1 scripture in Genesis 38:8-10 as support, but assume it means something other than what it says. God likely gave Onan a command to get Tamar pregnant and further the family line and when Onan disobeyed God (sin), He took his life. The sin was not obeying God's specific command to him, not the spilling of seed.

If someone assumed spilling seed was a sin, then 100% of all men would be guilty of this whether intentional or not, and the same argument could be made for 100% of women too. Consider nocternal emissions which are uncontrollable- if what you claimed was true, you're claiming that a natural bodily function that God created is sin. So, you'd be accusing God of making bodies that automatically sin- that makes no sense. Why would God create something to commit sin against Himself? Also, you'd also be claim that any married couple who uses birth control or protection of any kind is a sin worthy of death. Are you guilty of this and do you deserve to die for your sin? Also, women naturally flush their eggs monthly- so is that also a form of spilling 'seed' as you interpret the scripture. God designed the body to naturally function that way, so you're claiming that either God's perfect design is actually flawed, or you're claiming that God wanted bodies to automatically sin against Him. Neither makes sense.

Or is it possible you might have misinterpreted the scripture? That maybe Onan actually sinned because he disobeyed God for not getting Tamar pregnant? And that maybe it doesn't mean that 100% of all other people at 100% of the time are automatically sinning if they spill seed?

I think the answer is clear, but do pray about it.

Any form of lust is evil and a sin. I think that's a given. God bless.

This particular scripture could be us, but is aimed at the post 6th trumpet doctrine of anti-christ's rule. The people are too dumb, brainwashed to hear the love of the truth.

With that being said, America is a great counterfeiter, they falsely fulfill anti-Christ's actions. Note: In 2007 General Wesley Clark said that after losing 3 towers in NY, the US intended to topple 7 ME govt's in 5 years (months). So, after 3 towers were taken, 7 countries were planned in 5 years. In Revelation the beast has 10 allies, he takes of 3 them, leaving 7. Then, Rev 9:5 "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented 5 months (years).." The US deals in sorceries and courts their god the devil. Also, was 9-11-01= Rev 9:1-11, the 5th trumpet that officially began tribulation? I think so.

Everything happening in America is testament to Mystery Babylon. This is America before its visitation.

Isaiah 13 is the abomination of desolation description of America getting its Rev 18:6 to the double. Same with Isaiah 47 and many other verses concerning the day of the Lord strike. Ezekiel 21:9-12 God furbishes a sword and puts it in the hand of the slayer. You see vs 12 God says he is against his own people, the house of Israel and the house of Judah. The beast Russian confederacy, who God has commissioned to do his will, will make the whole house of Israel desolate. Mystery Babylon America gets baptized by fire; ironic how Israel's 6M Ashkenazim (Japheth) false Jews ( Gen 10:2-3) are invaded and taken into a 3rd captivity. The rest of the Babylonian system goes dark and falls that day. Luke 21:20-24 gives us another glimpse of Israel being taken away in chains. Do you know why America isn't there to save Israel from invasion? America received the abomination of desolation.

William, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Revelation 12:7 And there was WAR IN HEAVEN.......

Revelation 1:1 .....and sent and signified (or symbolic of) it by his angel....

Revelation 1:3 ....for the time is at hand....

Revelation is difficult at best to understand because most want believe the above two verses. The words were just as true for readers in Johns time as they are to us in our time and will be to those in the future who read them. The war in heaven (which began after Christ was crucified) was happening in Johns time just as it it happening today and will continue happening as long as there is a tomorrow.

Now, with the working of the Spirit let's see if by using other verses as the KEYS TO THE KINGDOM we can come to the truth about the WAR IN HEAVEN.

Luke 17:21 .....the kingdom of heaven is in YOU.....

2 Corinthians 12:2 ....such an one caught up to the THIRD HEAVEN.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God DWELLETH IN

    YOU?

There is a natural heaven, but an a symbol it represent us (WHERE GOD DWELLS)

Matthew 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the SPIRIT OF GOD, then the KINGDOM OF GOD IS COME UNTO YOU.

Revelation 12:7 ....and there was war in heaven (in you)...

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out..

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice (the Holy Spirit) saying in heaven (in you), now is salvation, and strength, and the KINGDOM OF OUR GOD..

Luke 10:17-18 And he said unto them (the seventy he sent out to cast out devils), I beheld SATAN as lighting fall FROM HEAVEN (from those that Satan was cast out of).

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God (Spirit) to the pulling down strong holds (traditions of man).

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the (natural) warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this (spiritual battle) shall be with (spiritual) burning and FUEL of (spiritual) FIRE.

Paul stated, "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2Co 5:8

Jesus told of a beggar and a rich man in Luke 16:19-31. "And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;" Luk 16:22

Jesus went on to describe the the condition of the rich man and the beggar.

"And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented." Luk 16:24-25

So we see that Old Testament saints were in a place of comfort. New Testament saints are with the Lord. Both disembodied spirits. But we are promised that the dead will be raised and given incorruptible bodies.

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1Co 15:51-52

    Emily,

In this passage, Matthew 24:15-28, Jesus tells His disciples of the a coming time of great tribulation, with the warning, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place."

This is the Daniel prophecy that Jesus was referring to, "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." Dan 9:27

An event like this happened in 167 BC when Antiochus IV desecrated the Temple and persecuted the Jews.

Some Christians think that Jesus' warning to, "pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:" Mat 24:20 was referring to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Others, including me, believe that this will be a future time known as The Great Tribulation or the time of Jacob's trouble or the Day of the LORD.

I am confused - Romans 16:7 says "Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners"

However, I thought Paul was at Corinth and then travelling to Jerusalem at the time this epistle was written - not yet a prisoner in Rome.

Maybe the explanation is "fellowprisoners" in Jesus Christ.

    Will someone please clarify? TIA.

    Richard,

Deut 17:14-20 outlined what God revealed to Moses what a king should do or not.

"Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, THAT HIS HEART TURN NOT AWAY:"Deu 17:17

Solomon had 700 wives, many of which were for political alliances with other countries. They, in fact, did turn his heart away from God.

There are religions today that justify polygamy on the basis that lots of men in the Old Testament had many wives. They read and interpret The Scriptures with no understanding! Listen to what Jesus said about marriage.

"Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." Mat 19:4-6

This answers ANY and ALL questions regarding marriage, what the definition of marriage is and how marriage should end. God's intent from the beginning was that the family unit was ONE man joined to ONE woman becoming ONE flesh for ONE lifetime.
