Connie, No apology necessary, I've been on this site for only a matter of a few short months myself, and yes I agree that the comments are varied in nature, but most I believe are meant to help us on our faith journey, I know it has helped me. If I may ask one question, do you believe that the narrow road to our salvation leads to the cross, and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not sure if you have ever heard of Billy Graham, he passed away a bit ago, but his sermons are on you tube and some of his sermons are about the real meaning of the cross, and the importance of it.

    Have a great day,

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Revelation 1:5 "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"

"Not of works, lest any man should boast."

If you are a born again Christion, you are in the kingdom of God, and will go up in the Rapture. The kingdom of heaver is the 1,000 year reign of Christ and is for those who make it through the Great Tribulation.

Peter never preach that Christ died for our sins, His Gospel is different from Paul's Gospel to the Gentiles. In Matthew chapter tem Jesus commanded his disciples not to go to the Gentiles; the only exception is Peter was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and preached to one Gentile in Acts 10. The Apostle John's Gospel to the Jews is John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." Plainly the Gospel, but different. Plus the kingdom of God was taken from the Jews in Matthew 21:43 "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." Paul had to explain his Gospel to the disciples about 18 years or so later. When Paul preach to 12 Jews in Acts 19, he preached almost the same gospel as Act 2:38. The Gospel for the Jews, and the Gospel for the Gentiles are plainly different.

What was the Gospel that Paul was preaching to the Gentiles.... What was it that the Scribes and the Pharisees did not believe in .. ??

Im sure you understand that it was more than just believing in a name it was more than the initial repentance,

John baptized in water to bring us unto repentance mmm But Jesus was the one that baptizes with the Holy Ghost and with fire...

What is the purpose of the three baptisms. ??????

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;" Heb 1:1-2

God spoke directly to Adam, Cain, probably Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Hagar, Jacob, Moses, Balaam, Joshua and there are more. I happen to believe that most appearances of The Angel (messenger) of The Lord is The Pre-Incarnate Christ. Paul heard from God on the road to Damascus and maybe in his 3 years in Arabia.

God can do whatever He chooses to do. As a rule in this age, God has spoken. I do nit believe that there will be any new revelation. The canon is complete.

Here is what God says you must believe to be saved (born again) during the Age of Grace. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" This is Paul's Gospel, and the Lord Jesus Christ sent Paul to preach to the Gentiles.

Peggy thanks for responding to my Comment. I agree all things will be revealed. However,

God will reveal many things before the sound of the Trumpet. He that has ears let him/her "hear"

what the Spirit says. Also, we are warned to try the Spirit to see if it is from God or the Devil.

I believe God for myself and pray your strength in the Lord.

    Hi Mild Bill,

""I reject your thought that America is or ever was a Christian nation""

Bill You're going to Love this!!

I reject my thought that America is or ever was a Christian nation also!!

Guess why, I never thought that, In fact mever said it either. You would have to go back maybe a week Past your first response and pull up a separate thread then come forward to this thread and you will see I went to great lengths to show why I believe " A body of believers called out of all nations is a nation of its own, called the Church. It is what will be raptured up. There is no geographic land mass we can call a holy nation.

But Israel ( in a different way )

Here is the comment you're referring to:

"A Christian nation it shouldn't be no different"

This was a sarcastic rebuttal to that notion embodied in a larger statement that shouldn't have been mistaken.

There was another thread that went on for a day or two displaying foolish pride that needed to be dealt with.

That's when I started a separate thread with the rebuttal.

You may have missed that because maybe a day or so later you responded and again today.

I have seen the pictures that have returned from Mars. what a difference between our galaxy and the one we see around Mars! A difference in the positioning of the stars, and the night sky . How thankful I am, that God placed the earth where He did and that we are not struggling to survive on this destitute place! If I have come away with anything, it is how thankful we should be for what He has given us, and how we should respect the earth and the life in it! How the nature and the creation are exactly what the bible say " the evidence of things that appear" The eternal God head.

You said, "skins (are) a general term for the outer covering of the animal body. Now they are like the animals -not good not holy. After they sinned God saw them as animals."

So what you're saying is that if we cover human beings given to sexual deviancy with the skin of animals, then God sees them as animals. What if I choose not to cover myself with animal skin, but still given to unnatural sex, would I still be seen as an animal by God? Does the skin covering make us resemble animals before God, or is it our sin that makes us sinners before God? Or, maybe the animal skin covering for Adam & Eve was simply a covering to cover their nakedness, which they sensed as a result of sin being committed (which had nothing to do with any sexual deviancy, but a sin of disobedience & pride).

Further, Matthew 5:32, "fornication" doesn't imply 'unnatural sex'. It could include it, but 'fornication' is a word that covers any sexual act, & in this case, such an act that is pursued with another person other than one's spouse. In those days, such grounds for divorce could be pursued in either a pre-nuptial or post-nuptial situation: where the betrothal period was seen as binding as the actual marriage itself. So if evidence of unfaithfulness, even at this early period came to light, the betrothed husband could rightfully put away his (soon to be) wife. To force a meaning of 'unnatural sex' is really a vain attempt to bolster one's support for that belief.

Frank ,i think i understand and agree with you ,i have tried to read some Bible commentaries and as soon as i read something in them that i think is wrong i cant tolerate them any more ,i think the best thing to do is just keep reading the Bible ,all of it over and over again ,then you start to see the links and the perfection of God for yourself ,you start to see the parallels and the conections ,its a joy ! It never hurts to ask for some one elses opinion ,it might be very helpfull to do so but i belive in learning things for yourself ,study and search and as Jesus said "let these saying sink down into your ears " the Bible is avery big treasure chest and you have to keep digging and rummaging through it day after day and enjoy it .

Pochalla, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and His knowledge.

Let's try with the Spirits working to perceive what the Spirit calls the DAY OF THE LORD.

Amos 5:18-21 Woe unto you that DESIRE THE DAY OF THE LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is DARKNESS, AND NOT LIGHT.

    (20) Shall not the DAY OF THE LORD be darkness and not light? even very dark and no brightness in it?

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned in darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE THE GREAT AND THE TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD COME.

Is this prophecy yet in the future or has it already been fulfilled? Other scriptures and the symbols represented in them provide the answers.

Psalm 89:34-37 .....(36) His (David's) seed (Christ) shall endure forever, and his (Christ) throne as the sun before me. (vs) It (Christ and his throne) shall be established forever as the MOON, AND AS A FAITHFUL WITNESS IN HEAVEN.

Revelation 1:5 And from JESUS CHRIST, who is my FAITHFUL WITNESS IN HEAVEN. The Psalm says the MOON is the faithful witness implying the moon is symbolic of Jesus.

The prophecy says the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the MOON into blood. Has this already happened?

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

John 19:34 ...and forthwith came there out BLOOD...

THE DAY OF THE LORD is every day and has been going on now for two thousand years.

Christ through the working of the Holy Spirit has been coming (the second time lake a thief in the night to those who look for him).

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; AND UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM SHALL HE APPEAR THE SECOND TIME WITHOUT SIN UNTO SALVATION.

Did Jesus die and resurrect to save sinners with there sin or sinners from there sin.... i believe that Salvation is a process of maturing in the spirit of Christ. I believe that Salvation is not the gift but is the result of the Gift... I believe that its all about Jesus its all about his Character . we are to take up our own cross and follow in his footsteps , not to say that we alone can obtain unto the High calling of Christ, for it is of him to will and to do of his good pleasure... its Christ in us the Hope of Glory , that is able to reconcile us back into an Holy and Unblameable relationship with God the Father.

    Hello Spencer

When you pray in and unknown tonigue you are speaking to God not men and its not the natural man praying its the spirit of God the Holy Sprirt because it knows what God requires of us when we pray .Paul aslo explains that speaking to the natural man in tongues does not benefit them because they would not understand only God does ....and unless you have been in a pentecostal church that uses the sprirtual gifts rightly you will never understand how its used in the church.....Many pentecostal church never use the gifts because they have previeved ideas how its done ......

Hi Brethren, I'm a new Christian (11/2020). I had a wonderful and powerful conversion experience, and since then a great deal of sin in my life has cleared up, without too much effort, Hallelujah. However, Often, I don't feel the presence of The Holy Ghost, and this makes me sad. That feeling of Grace and Love when I converted, made life worth living. Some days I really feel like a child and light for Jesus Christ. I desire so much to know Jesus Christ and to seek his presence and face. Other days (too many), The Holy Ghost feels distant and I begin to doubt conversion. I really would like to feel the Lord and his peace again. Thank you, and God Bless you
