I am so sorry that Gary is this way in your experience with him. I will pray for him.
Dear heavenly Father, we bring Gary before You in intercession asking You in the name of Jesus to being a real and lasting transformation in Gary through the working of the Holy Spirit to regenerate Gary and bring Him to faith in Jesus. We ask that You will show Gary that he is racist and that he bullies others. Bring the conviction of his sinfulness to him deeply and grant him repentance unto salvation. We ask that those who have been recipients of his racism and bulling will be healed and determine to forgive him and leave it behind them. We pray that these people will be protected from further abuse by Gary and that those who know You in Christ will share the gospel with him as the Spirit leads them to do so. We ask that you heal Gary's heart in ways that are needed for the things that have led to his racism and bully behaviors. Lord God, we know that You can change people like Saul of Tarsus, so we can believe that You can save Gary and bring about amazing change in his inner being and outward actions through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Let it be so for Gary. Amen
Many people go a long time before they realize that Jesus is in heaven with His glorified resurrected human body. I think that this is due partly to the common sayings we use of Him such as:
"You can ask Jesus into your heart"
"Jesus is always with you"
"Jesus abides in us"
"When two or more are gathered together Jesus is in their midst"
These sayings, though true, give the impression that Jesus is in Spirit form only. However, Jesus said that both the Father and Himself live in us when the Spirit of God dwells in us. This speaks to the unity of the Godhead and that God is everywhere present in His essence. But Jesus, (also everywhere present in His divine nature) retains his full human nature in heaven. He is the first fruits of what humans will be in heaven, perfected with glorified resurrected bodies. He is our High Priest who is a human who serves God as a mediator. Perhaps this is one reason for Him retaining His human nature. Other reasons for this is that our glorified human bodies will be able to physically see God in Him. Whether or not we will be able to see spiritual beings is known at this point. Will we be able to see angels with our physical eyes? Or will we have spiritual "eyesight" added to us as part of our glorification that would allow us to see spiritual beings.
Lots to think about, but we can take comfort and be at ease of mind and heart knowing that our Lord and Savior is like us in His human nature in every way but without sin. In His divine nature, He is like the Father and Spirit, which we are not. But these two natures are possessed by only one person, the divine Son of God. All of this was determined before creation int he Everlasting Covenant between the Persons of the Godhead for the redemption of mankind. Hallelujah! Now and always.
I guess very recently it just occurred to me that Jesus would retain His earthly body. Even though I have read the Holy Scriptures since I was a young child, it has taken me until I am in my 60's to realize this. My whole life I have always thought of only spirits existing in heaven.
I praise God and I am so content that someday, I will know these mysteries of the gospel.
God bless you all in our quests to understand.
With regards to Israel their sanctuary is not yet cleansed. This is short by 6 months from the command number 7, the tag for perfection. Four is the number applied to the ministry of Jesus who is the logos aspect of the Word.
This missing 6 months from both can be explained by this line in the Book of the Revelation. "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." (Re.8:1) Everlasting gospel shall be preached by the angel in heaven (Re.14:6-7) and we have a clue here in the saying of Jesus. "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."( John 10:16) This ministry of Jesus is from heaven. Thus we have the command number 4 apply to the Son who was also the Word made flesh.
During this silence in heaven we have on earth another activity going on, sealing of the twelve tribes described in Ch.7. This number of martyrs multiples of 12,- the number 144,000 refer to the creation of one fold for whom Christ is the 'one shepherd.'
Daniel's vision described in Ch.8 is set about the actual river about which what events are arranged follow the same idea underlying the river of time. (See entry under T-Time, river of)
The emphasis in the vision is however with regards to Israel. Daniel is within the vision while two saints are conversing about events, "How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?" In short desecration of the temple worship under Antiochus IV 'Epiphanes' is the subject matter.
What interests us is the time frame and it is given by the holy one,- meaning the angel (signifying the Spirit of Christ) who supplies the time. "And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."(8:14,13).
Compare the period of time mentioned in the vision in Ch.12:12 "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days." This tag as employed by the Spirit refers to the earthly ministry of Jesus, -Three and a half, Time, times and a half,42 months etc.;
With regards to time scale I have placed my understanding of it in a series of posts and if you read it all through you will know and whether you agree with it or not, is up to you. So we leave it at that.
In the vision of Daniel he sees himself across a river asking the man clothed in linen regarding the purport of the vision (Dan.12:5). This vision was between the eternal and the temporal across the river of time. Daniel asks, "O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?/And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."
The Bible as God document sets God as the Sovereign Lord of heaven and the earth, and gives us two places of habitations; and all events and people described therein are bookended by the garden of God and the city of God. The river of time serves a thread connecting both.
The Spirit while narrating Core will of God has to correlate the unseen with the seen aspects of God, "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Co.4:18). Mercy of God is eternal because it is His holiness. It shall not change. As Father he does not always chide; nor keeps his anger forever (Ps.103:9).
Blessings come from the greater to lesser. In order to point the perfection of his Father Jesus gave the sun and the rain He sends on all creation both unjust and good alike. Mercy is an aspect of divine nature. God while separating waters keeps waters above to himself. It is unseen.
We read of a river at the creation of man. 'And a river went out of Eden to water the garden' on one end and the 'pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb./ In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life (Re.22:1-2). Same river source of which is in heaven. The garden and the holy city of God have a common basis, which is the tree of life, the same tree (singular) in the middle of the garden. "There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High (Ps.46:4)".
"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."
Trees of righteousness produce good fruits. In the abstract we have "and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.". What was agreed between the Father and the Son cannot bring forth fruits of uncertain quality. Their goodness is because the seed in itself is the word of God. Number 12 is affixed by the Spirit to indicate these trees every one of them is a new creation. Old things are passed away. These trees figure in the Psalm 1:3 ""And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
These are planted by God by the river and as with the vision of Daniel (Dan.12:5) each of us planted by God looks across and see the tree of life and the key text refers to what our vision of Zion ought to be. The tree of life does not change her quality. It is for the healing of the nations. While the ungodly nations resort to wars what they really needs is healing themselves. This is the river of time beginning from the waters above the firmament and it figures in the Psalm 1. We are to bring forth our fruits in season and not espouse the cause of brambles and thistles. How we are nourished so our leaves are evergreen is by the grace of God.
As sojourners and pilgrims we grow from strength to strength. ""They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God."(Ps.84:7)
"Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river." The same river flowing from Eden watering the garden is leading us to the holy city of God.
Jesus reading the passage from the Isaiah as recorded in the gospel was unto the meek. "because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek." In this context Jesus referred to them in his sermon. "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." (Matt.5:5). So Jesus to all intent and purpose was calling all those who would receive him, 'For I am meek and lowly,'. In Isaiah we read what eye has not seen nor ears have heart what the Lord had prepared for them the same is referred by St Paul "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."(1 Co.2:9).
That they might be called trees of righteousness is what 'God hath prepared for them that love him. So we not looking at Israel or the Gentiles but who according to His promise, are blessed. As with Abrham they are 'pilgrims and sojourners' on the earth looking for Zion, the city whose maker and builder is God. "Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them." (Ps.84:5). They were fools in the eyes of the world and they were mourners 'in Zion" but they have goal. "They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God."(Ps.84:7) Does it matter days or years as the ungodly count their days?
Here we have the tree of righteouness,."And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; "(Ps.2:3) This tree is set in direct frame of reference so eternity is what charaacterizes every one of them. ""In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Twelve manner of fruits.
Jesus in Nazareth announced the acceptable year of the Lord leaving out the Day of vengeance.
Naturally the enemies to Christ the Jews would not enter into the day sanctified by the Lord. God blessed man in his Son and what Jesus preached was to shown as doable.
Jesus came into his own but was rejected. He refers to the hour ("but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.")
The kingdom of God is among us is Person specific. Immanuel factor of the Word offered them salvation on the basis of faith. At death he visited souls in prison (1 Pe.3:19). He was the anointed One who alive in Spirit below the earth, and it had its purpose. " He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) (Ep.4:10) So when we read, "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell."(Col.1:19) we do not interpret days week or years on the basis of our convenience but in him. It is Zion we seek after to which Jeremiah prophesied, "This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after."(Je.30:17)
If any man is in Christ he is a new creature so in terms of the Word become flesh we are part of the saints redeemed from the earth. We walk by faith, not by sight. The year of the Lord in our case is that leads us to the new heaven and the new earth. What happens to our earthly tabernacle ought to be of no importance since we have died to world and sin at baptism. If anyone seek after earthly things what faith is he speaking about?
The year Jesus preached hitches the body of Christ to the Head. Faith is the passkey to all those who would enter therein.
Je.31:15 'Slaughter of the innocents' is cited in the Gospel. As with prophetic books passages require special attention so spiritual is compared with spiritual. "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast." This is fulfilled and we read of the throne of God and of the Lamb" (Re.22:1).
Israel, a remnant shall find fulfillment. "How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man."(31:22) Not daughters of Jerusalem or of Zion but 'thou, daughter'
God did this for us, before the world began, deciding that the Son of the Father would become human to redeem us and have this human nature within His divine person for all eternity. So wonderful that God condescend eternally for our sake, not His.
As to your thoughts about Jesus appearing as human and spirit, I am not sure what you are referring to.
let me take a stab at it:
1) If you are saying that Jesus, being the eternally divine Son of the Father Who, before He took on a human nature, was eternally Spirit as the Father and Holy Spirit are always. Then that is true. A Spirit does not appear to humans, as we could not perceive a Spirit. The Holy Spirit manifests himself at times, as with the dove manifestation at Jesus' baptism and the tongues of fire at Pentecost. But manifestations are not the true essence of the Holy Spirit. There is a difference between manifestation of God and His true essence (Who He actually is). In the OT there were many theophanies and manifestations of God. The burning bush with the Angel of the Lord speaking out from it, one of the three that visited Abraham, the person wrestling with Jacob all night, the pillar of cloud/fire in the wilderness, the visions given to prophets of the Ancient of Days, the shekinah glory of God's Presence in the tabernacle. These were manifestations but not God showing Himself as His true self in His pure Essence.
2) If you are saying that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same person, then I would direct you to the Last Supper Discourse in John chapters 14-17 to see how Jesus speaks of the Father as being truly another Person of the Godhead other than Himself and the Holy Spirit being another person of the Godhead other than Himself and the Father. There are three Persons in One Godhead (Divine Being). So, the Jesus asks the Father to send the Holy Spirit to the disciples (and subsequently to each believer).
Maybe this will be helpful to you.
Again, I go back to 1 John 3:9 and I share with you the literal translation:
Whosoever has been born of God DOES NOT PRACTICE sin; for God's seed remains (or abides) in him: and he CANNOT PRACTICE SIN, that is, he does not have the capacity to practice sin because he has been born of God.
This is not saying that a person who has been born of God will never sin. And this is in no way telling us that we are sinless as Jesus was.
Let me ask you:
Do you consider yourself a sinner?
Are you pure the same as Jesus was pure?
Are you walking without sin the same as Jesus walked?
Now, if I may quote you, you said, "If one is born again & is a new creature in Christ Hebrews 10:10,28,29 sanctified once & for all,{past tense} Col 1:22 & then sin, would that not plunges us back into the condition of Adam's' transgression?"
A few days ago in one of your posts, you told someone that you have not yet been born again, so how would you answer this?
If you are not yet born again (as you say), then you are still living in your sin, and until you surrender your life to Christ, and are born from above, you will die in your sin.
I only say this out of concern for your spiritual welfare since you yourself said you have not yet been born again.
The held tradition is Adam and Eve are the man, male and female created on day six. It will be defended dogmatically, and for no reason other than that is what has been taught. There are only 5 chapters from the creation of Adam until the flood, 1656 years. There is so much we have not been told.
There are two Adams in the Bible the first in Genesis 2 and the last, Jesus our savior, 1 Cor. 15:45. Everyone living today is the descendant of Adam and Eve due to the flood where Noah and his sons and wives are the only eight humans after the flood and we all came from them.
The male and female on day six were to be fruitful and fill the earth and have dominion over the entire earth. Could Adam and Eve do this in the Garden of Eden, they did not have children until they were cast out of the garden, if this was on day six, after they had sinned, would God say everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good, Gen. 1:31? What does it change? Nothing, since the flood Eve is still the mother of all living, all before the flood is washed away.
Sin began with the first Adam and salvation was with the last Adam Jesus and what was before the first Adam we have not been told. We must study without preconceived ideas and our ears open to the teaching of the Spirit of God. Study the words earth and field. Could Adam and Eve fulfill the earth and have dominion over the entire earth being in the Garden of Eden?
There is more I could say but it does not change the plan of God, we all are descendants of Adam and Eve, and evolution has no part in creation. The teaching of man causes doubt, Truth sets us free, study for your understanding and your conscience.
God bless,
RLW
There is only one creation of man.
Genesis ch 1 is the beginning and the time in days etc.
In which god formed all things.
Genesis ch 2 is an explanation of how and what Gods process was. We can see this in Genesis ch 2 vs 4-5
4
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Look at the words in vs 4 These are the generations (present tense)
Vs 4 again when they were created. (Past tense)
Vs 5 of the field before it was in the earth .key word being (before ) meaning prior to him creating it.
Hope this helps.
May Gods peace and Grace be upon you.
GB I love you all.
We are told to WATCH and SEE.
Isaiah 21:6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go set a watchman, let him declare what he SEETH.
Isaiah 21:10 Oh my threshing, THE CORN (SEED) of MY (Christ's) FLOOR: that which I (Christ) have heard of the Lord of host (my God and Father) have I (Christ) declared unto YOU (my SEED).
The anointing IN US will teach us all things.
God Bless YOU!
The Bible, mainly Revelation is full of enigmas, puzzle. You referred to Revelation 8;1 that says:There was silence in heaven for 'the space half an hour'.How can we understand this period of time that GOD revealed to JESUS through His sealed book?
Moses in his pray to the Lord GOD said:Ps.90:12-Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.Verse 4- a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday.
Peter Apostle quoting Psalm 90,wrote:Beloved,be not ignorant of this one thing, that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one Day-2Pe.3:8.
In fact,in accord to the Biblical Chronology, the source of Truth,on GOD's six Days of works and one Day of rest(a total of seven days)plus the Scriptures that teach that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years(II Pet.3:8)so MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each(a total of 6000 years) plus a Millennium of 1000 years rest (now a total of 7000 years).
That said:Once 1000 years on GOD's clock is one Day, if we know that MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each, so according to the MANKIND calendar mainly among the Gentile nations, more specifically Christians nations, one day has 24 hours, so in my view on hour on GOD's clock correspond to a period of around 42 years -->1000/24=41,666 years. Thus we can say that "half an hour" on GOD's clock correspond to around 21 years (20,8...)
Would be this period of around 21 years(the same period that was necessary to finish the rebuild of Jerusalem, and begining a new period after the consecration of the Temple in Jerusalem)yeah, would be this 21 years corresponding to the first 21 years of the current millennium?
Not curious,of course, but trying to search an understanding of the Revelation 8:1 about "half an hour" on GOD's clock, pointing the beginning of the fulfillment in this current millennium the sound of the first Trumpet of the successive seven GOD's Trumpets.
I agree with you, sharing the gospel with as many as we can.
I do not think Russia will intervene they are depleted with their war in Ukraine, there may be a few nuclear bombs, but we know this world is not destroyed by nuclear war. Iran is already in it, whether the other militant groups join in is the big question. The U. S. with all the ammo and supplies they have given to Ukraine and have not replaced our supplies plus what they will give to Israel I would not be surprised if China makes their move.
End times have many interpretations, some things that have already been fulfilled are looked for to be in the future. Many are looking for an antichrist when we see there is not one but there are three in Revelations, Rev. 12,13. I feel people are looking for things that are not coming like the Church being taken to heaven when there is not one verse in the Bible that says we are going to or we are taken to heaven. The earth is for man, this earth, and the new earth. It says those who are worthy will reign on earth not heaven, 2 Tim. 2:12 Rev. 5:10
There will be those in the first resurrection that will meet Jesus in the air on His way down to earth, (the world is round) Matt. 24:31 Mark 13:27 After the tribulation, it does not say He then goes back up to heaven.
We see that on that day His feet will stand upon the Mount of Olives, Zechariah 14:4, and also Jesus along with the 144000 first fruits will stand on Mount Zion/Sion the mountain just in front of Jerusalem. Much of the end times are tied to the world economy there is so much behind the scenes we do not see and will not see until the end starts.
Whatever comes we are told to watch, this life is not our hope, 1 Cor. 15:19, it is the one we have been promised, Titus 3:7. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints, Rev. 13:10. It will be things coming that have not been, Matt. 24:21,29. My understanding I will leave it there.
God bless,
RLW
And Christophoros (which in grk means "the one who bears Christ") is the Lord through his breath of whom you will be given life. BUT KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ONLY TWO MINUTES LEFT.
The one who understands let them understand.
A dream a sister had 2 weeks ago that a pastor of one of our congregations here told us.
There were lots of us, people from the church. We were walking up a mountain but we didn't get tired at all. At the top there was a building having classes in it. We all went into the appropriate class and had lessons. After the lessons finished we went to sleep all of us inside a room in that building. The next morning we started getting out of that building through a very narrow exit. First a sister called Osana went out(the names have a meaning in grk). After her it was me. Osana was praying and all of us got filled with joy. As I am walking I see sister Anastasia. She was putting some slubs in the right place at a slab pavement where there was a couch ready to depart. Behind me there was brother Manoles. He was full of calmness and through his calmness he was giving directions to us, without us hearing his voice. Infront of me I see brother Elias. I saw his back, he was wearing a coat which he threw away towards us and so that coat covered all of us. Next to me I see my husband Photes, he was very very tall and he sheds light on all of us. Then brother Christophoros came, the pastor of the church. He approaches, he puts his hands on all of us and we felt his breath coming inside us. And then I hear the voice of the Lord who says "IN 2 MINUTES YOU DEPART"
And I rise up and I hear the voice of the Lord talking to me.
Osana (Hossana, praise in Hebrew) is praise and in praizing God you receive joy.
Anastasia (grk for ressurection) is the resurrected Christ who will put everything in the proper order and He will give directions.
Manoles (from Emmanuel which means "God with us" in Heberew) is God who with His calmness and peace gives directions to you.
Elias (from Elios which in grk means sun) is the power of the Holy Spirit who will cover you with the Spirit's power.
Photes (from phos which means light) is the light of Christ which enlightens your lives.
Study God's word until your ONE with the word, God will bring all scriptures to mind, you don't have to memorize them.
God Bless YOU!
