  • Natalie on Psalms 9 - 4 years ago
    Hello, I have been looking for a bible verse to inscribe on my hushand birthday gift, but honestly I am new to TRULY believing. I was born in Quebec/Canada, the french part, and I still have difficulty with my english speaking.

    So, since I can't work I do some Art, and I started working leather. He hate putting something with his main car key but he often have difficulty to find it. So I though tabout making him something small, where I could insert a mini natural oil mix bottle for his sinus.

    I am not sur what to inscribe on. I was thinking something along the line of health or something about communication. So here are some of my idea:

    Hatred stirs up strife,

    But love covers all sins

    Proverbs 10:12

    Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed;

    Saved me, and I shall be saved,

    For You are my praise.

    Jeremiah 17:14

    For His anger is but for a moment,

    His favors is for life;

    Weeping may endure for a night,

    But joy comes in the morning.

    Psalm 30:5

    Be of courage,

    And He shall strengthen your heart,

    All you who hope in the LORD.

    Psalm 31:24

    Fear not, for I am with you;

    Be not dismayed, for I am your GOD.

    I will strengthen you,

    Yes, I will help you,

    I will uphold you with MY righteneous right hand.

    Isaiah 41:I0

    Cast your burden on the LORD

    And He shall sustain you;

    He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

    Psalm 55:22

    That's what I have come to right now. I would be delighted if anyone have a better suggestion, on has any comments or idea on which would be the best.

    thank you very much

    GOD be with you all.

    Praying with you and for the Holy Spirit to lead you to the proper "person" to help you get past the legal mess to reach your goal of citizenship. Keep seeking the leadership from the Holy Spirit. He will give you the peace and courage to get past this mess.

    You have been washed, you have been cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb. Start a daily bible reading plan and ask the Holy Spirit to send you to the proper church which God has planned for you.

    God bless you brother. You are washed by the blood of the Lamb.

    At what age did Jesus discover he was the son of g-d?
  • David R Clark - In Reply on 1 Peter 5 - 4 years ago
    You great them each and every time with love and devotion as you would any family or friend. The Holy Spirit will answer your prayer at the appropriate time to give them the choice to accept or reject Christ. Your loving prayers and your loving relationship will help. Judging and forcing them to change their life will create a bolder for them to crawl over and will create an animosity which will drive them backwards instead of forward toward eternal life with Christ.

    There is therefor now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This is from my memory of Romans chapter 8.

    You are under the protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Ask for the Holy Spirit to lead you each day.

    It matters not which language you use to enter into a Holy Covenant with God. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and He will lead you to a closer relationship with Christ and God.

    Continue with your pleas to God. You ask not you receive not. I hope you are going to a church, a church which the Holy Spirit leads you.

    God bless you brother.

    Pray with me as I witness to several people whom I have a close personal relationship with. Neither one will make that last step to accept Christ. One (John) is doing the work of the devil and believes with his whole heart that he is leading others to God. John is doing the works of mediums and with his whole fiber gives credit to Jehovah. However, he spells it with an "i". Jehovih.

    Why do we celebrate the resurrection on a Sunday, when Monday would have been the third day?

    Why is the Sabbath day a Sunday , when the seventh day of the week is Saturday?

    I am trying to understand why the change in the timeline.

    I want to give thanks to God for saving my job of 10 years this past week. and for the friend that gave up hers for mine I know that this was God's purpose a long time ago. However it is not a Christian environment and I cannot endure it much longer. Please join me in my petition for a new job and God's guidance to a new position.

    God honors a cheerful giver. Tithing isn't really spoken of in the New Testaments. In the Old Testaments God asked His people to tithe a tenth which was an act of obedience, which went to help the poorer peoples of The LORD. So with that in mind, I would ask Father to bless the money n the one in need n I'm sure He will honor your request n bless you in return.

    Shana, on this Site's Main Page, find the word "More" on the Top line. Click on it & scroll down to "How to become a Christian".

    Remember, it's not just going through some formula to be saved from sin - salvation comes from a deep sorrow for your sin & your desire to turn away from such a life & finding forgiveness & a new life only through Jesus, God's Son. Read those verses given there & if you don't understand anything, please write again so that we can explain it to you. It is your full belief in what God has done for you that gives you salvation & NOT by what you can do for God. We can never do anything that could cause God to forgive us - He could only forgive us on His Terms & that is, His Son gave His Life in your place so you could be forgiven. Think deeply on these things & follow through with a true repentant heart before God. He will hear your cry to Him & He will forgive you.

    John 6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." You can rest on that Promise directly from Jesus to you.

    On Matthew 6:12 - why do you say debt and debtor and no longer trespass and trespasses? "Forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us," has meaning and inspiration. It inspires someone (like me) to really think of what it means to keep holding onto bad thoughts or grudges against another while I am asking God to forgive me. How can I ask for forgiveness when I am not giving it? Trespass/trespasses causes me to open my heart and mind and to seek to love others as Christ loves me. Whereas, the words "debts and debtors" inspire me to think of monetary matters. As Jesus tells us "money is the root of all evil," I find myself dismayed and turned off by any Bible which has removed trespass and replaced it with debt. It is especially hurtful to see this happen in a King James Bible. I was holding out hope that with all the false teachings and false Bibles in the world today, the King James Bible would remain true to the word of God.

    Marilyn Taplin,

    "no flesh will be saved?"

    Are you now saved, or will you be saved? And how do you understand that all to come about?
  • Mild Bill - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 11:24 - 4 years ago
    Marilyn,

    Tithes were an ordinance for people of Israel. As a Christian, all you have is God's and how you "give/share" is what is from your heart.

    "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
  • Mild Bill - In Reply on Numbers 10 - 4 years ago
    Shana,

    "how can I get saved"

    But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:6-13

    You "getting it" is between you and God. When you not only understand, but believe/fully trust he paid for all your sins, he makes himself known to you personally. The confidence that you will have in that relationship is something only you can say is sure. Nobody can tell you, you are saved, and when you are saved, nobody can take that reality away from you.

    Give God a call, it's toll free for you, because Jesus paid it all.

    Hi Sacha -- that happens when you see something unexpected I think. I'll be happy to explain; would you mind saying which sentence or words you found bewildering, please? It may be your Bible; mine is the authorised KJV, but I know the JW's book is at odds in terms of conveying truthful meaning.

    Best regards, Peter
