You're right on track, dear brother. Keep studying the Word - more & more Light from God will be revealed to you. Keep 'nagging' the Lord for your loved ones (as many of us do for ours), & 'pray them into the Kingdom'; remember the Lord's parable of the widow who 'nagged' the unjust judge to get justice ( Luke 18:1-8). Even though in different circumstances, the parable was given "that men ought always to pray & not to faint", or 'keep on praying for what you know is right & in God's Will (that none should perish), & don't give up'. Every blessing Lou, in the Lord.

I am asking prayers for my broken family. 6 of my brothers and sisters have left God and are living lives of the devil. They go to churches that do not teach about God. We, my mother and I, were kicked out of one church. At that church, my brother-in-law is the deacon and my sister is the organist. I was a witness to an argument that started and made the preacher come down. There broke out a big argument that I was ashamed to be in the church. That's one sister! Then there's another sister who tried to have my mother committed. Mom's fine! Then there's another sister whose husband has tried 3-4 times to kill me and he's FILTHY rich! They own the biggest farm by Acme. Then there's my only blood brother with a strange wife,(like a witch). She can do mind changes and makes wives divorce their husbands for no reason. Then there's another brother whose hooked up with a strange Baptist church. He finally sold his, (what used to be a large pig operation) farm. He has a daughter that can't do anything by herself- her parents are right there too! I am handicapped living happily by myself in Three Hills by my mother. Those 6 of the family that I hardly see, want to remove me from here and place me in an institution. I am active in the community. I go to church every Sunday!

Thank you Sandra for your detailed explanation of your understanding of the Law & the Book of Ordinances. I do agree with much of what you've written. However, still the Scripture, Romans 8:1-4 niggles at us, to which you've not referred to directly.

How do you reconcile that Scripture with what you believe? In other words, what is Paul referring to here in Romans 8: the Law contained in the Commandments, or the Book of Ordinances, or both?

Proof of the post tribulation rapture in this verse, I find it absolutely amazing that people will read this verse and still argue about what it clearly says, AFTER the tribulation of those days, how do you miss that's?

I very much agree with you Steven. The marriage that God had designed for the union of man & woman on Earth is indeed the clear reflection of the intimate union of God with His people, first Israel & now those under Christ's Blood. When we examine the two (the spiritual & the physical sides of marriage), we do see so many similarities of intimacy, of belonging, dependency, openness, heartache when one is absent, to name a few. And the Spirit of God's Passion is to ensure that the marriage bond remains strong, vibrant & spontaneous, giving special meaning to our call: "Our Father Who art in Heaven". He is more than a Creator Who oversees our lives & activities yet estranged from us by distance - God is our Father Who longs that we look to Him & respond to Him as His very own, enjoying the same intimacy that His Son had with Him while on Earth.

Can we then, with the eye of anticipation & longing, even imagine what the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will be like? Both the Bridegroom & Bride longing for that day, & that waiting & watching by faith finally realized, when faith becomes sight. So what a witness the world has of a Christian marriage: one devised & sustained by God alone; & how important that we present Christ, not only by the Gospel, but also by our lives/our marriages/our God-fearing children, or else, all sense of the knowledge & consciousness of God will be gone.

  • Rod - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 4 years ago
Until Adam and Eve had sons and daughters they were the first two people on earth as per scripture.

Marilyn you say that "I don't believe Adam and Eve were the only two people on earth". do you have scripture to support that.

Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Genesis 2:22 "And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man." Genesis 2:23 "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." Genesis 2:24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

About you saying that the bible says not to worship Jesus... uhm Jesus Christ is God.

He says in John 14:1 (KJV)

" John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

    Another scripture

    Hebrews 1:1-6

"[1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; [3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; [4] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. [5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? [6] And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. "

    Colossians 1:15-20 (KJV)

"[15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. [19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; [20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."

Trying to have a blind faith isn't good, what we really have to do is to search the scriptures (study it !).

Immediately upon submitting ones life to Jesus, and acknowledging His death as the ultimate sacrifice for our dastardly sins; in that nanosecond our names are written in the Lambs Book Of Life. Jesus immediately sends His Spirit to live and dwell in us.

There is nothing we can do or say that will cause the Lord to send His Spirit upon us.

It is a "free gift!" We can't earn it. Then the Spirit would be categorized as "Good Works!"

Absolutely not! When Christ cried out in John's gospel, "It is finished" The sin debt was paid in full!! We did zero to earn the gift of salvation: just as we do nothing to prove to God we are now ready for His Spirit. Positively in error...

PROOF: Look at all the 'spoiled' children today as a result of the world's 'experts' telling to spare the rod. Discipline is not abuse. Abuse is certainly not discipline. Discipline, I believe, is done with love and goodness but abuse is done with hate and evil.

"Behold My Servant" says The Lord of Our Lord. He is King, Servant, Man and God. I pray Christ Jesus, My Rock and My Redeemer. My Shield and My Refuge. Cover Your Children My Lord with Your mighty Wing and suffer no temptation to bring us down to the lusts of our flesh. In Thee Lord is our path to life and Thou are The Only Door. All other beliefs in the temporal world rest upon men's works, but not so with Our Lord, for He is The Only Righteous One to perform His work. And His work is accomplished for us and His Grace to us is sufficient.

  • S Spencer - In Reply on Nehemiah 10 - 4 years ago
HI Beatrice. Here is some verses to start with, Maybe someone more capable would like to elaborate on this further

Hebrews 9:22. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Leviticus 17:11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The life is in the blood and the wages of sin is death. God don't pardon sin, Jesus came to die in our place because all have sinned. Thats why when John the baptist saw him he said behold the lamb that take away the sins of the world.

  • S Spencer - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 4 years ago
Dear Connie, You are right in that we shouldn't worship images, but don't let that turn you from the truth. There is a right way to salvation, In fact there is only one way!! And here it is -

John 14:6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Matthew 7:13-14. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it..

We don't hesitate to believe that.

I believe that Mary, being a devout believer, knew Isaiah 25 and saw the implications of that prophecy in the lack of wine at the wedding in Cana. Notice she did not ask Jesus to do anything, just called his attention to the symbolism. She did not demand He do something. I believe his response was not rude but confirmation to her of who he was, using the term Woman. If one can see it as an authoritative statement not an insult. When he says "Mine hour is not yet come", it appears He is not talking about His ministry, but His death, again confirming who He is. This seemed to prompt Mary into action, recognizing the manifestation of the scripture through his words. He satisfied the need as it fits the prophecy of Isaiah 25, a very recognizable prophecy of who He was. He would again refer to her as Woman at the Cross. Again, authoritative, not rude.

Here is how Fornication is defined in the Greek pulled from the Gospel of Mark 7:21. :

    Transliteration: porneia

    Pronunciation: por-ni'-ah

Definition: From G4203; harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively idolatry: - fornication.

    KJV Usage: fornication(26x).

    Occurs: 26

    In verses: 25.

Here is how Fornication is defined in the Hebrew in Isaiah 23:17.Hebrew:

    Transliteration: znh

    Pronunciation: zaw-naw'

Definition: A primitive root (highly fed and therefore wanton); to commit adultery (usually of the {female} and less often of simple {forniciation} rarely of involuntary ravishment); figuratively to commit idolatry (the Jewish people being regarded as the spouse of Jehovah): - (cause to) commit {fornication} X {continually} X {great} (be {an} play the) {harlot} (cause to {be} play the) {whore} ({commit} fall to) {whoredom} (cause to) go {a-whoring} whorish.

    KJV Usage: ...harlot(36x), go a whoring(19x), ...whoredom(15x), whore(11x), commit fornication(3x), whorish(3x), harlot(withH802)(2x), commit(1x), continually(1x), great(1x), whore's(withH802)(1x).

    Occurs: 94

    In verses: 82.

THESE ARE PULLED FROM THE STRONGS!!

IT APPEARS YOU HAVE DOCTORED THE DEFINITION TO PROMOTE YOUR VIEWS. I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WAS WAITING AND HOPING FOR TRUTH??

Hi Elison, The way you addressed you question you have the order of creation correct. God started with Adam and Eve. If they had other people on earth whats the point in forming Adam from the dust of the ground?

( Genesis 2:7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. ) And why go through the trouble of taking a rib from Adam to make woman?

In this next verse you see Adam is all alone.

Genesis 2:18. ( And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.)

In this next verse he makes woman!!

    Genesis 2:21-22. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

And then he commanded them to populate the earth.

( Genesis 1:28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: ) notice this next verse, Eve is the mother of ""ALL"" living.

Genesis 3:20. And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

So we come to their Children.

In order to do what God commanded, it's reasonable to believe Adam and Eve had daughters and they populated the earth through their children. I don't understand why people see that's a problem with God!! We do know the world we live in now started with just 8 souls. I hope that helps

And I want God do this for us sent good men in our life.(smile) I'm selling some land but my neighbor is making matter very hard for me. Hi Richard, The dust that you said returns to the earth is the body I have in mind, it returns absent of the spirit, it shall be raised a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44. So also is the resurrection of the """Dead.""" It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. Thank you
