These are not the 4 horseman. These are the army used to destroy Mystery Babylon and the Babylonian system within 1 hour. It's not a standing army, rather 200 mega ton hypersonic missiles; TNT. Compare with Joel 2:4-11 day of The Lord description of these weapons.

It is only by accepting the true doctrine of Jesus christ that one can receive eternal life.

As faith without works is dead not only should we say with our mouth that Jesus is lord but we must do the will of God as Jesus did the will of his father who sent him...put our faith into action bearing light/witness of our persuation so others be pursuaded.... 2Timothy 2:6 the husband man that lanoureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

Why are you guys saying stoning to death is just a spiritual death? Wouldn't the Bible say that and not left for us to interpret a different meaning? Maybe it's time I don't read the discussions anymore. We people make something more out of nothing.

Some churches preach to this day that Jesus abolished the Ten Commandments when He died on the cross. They proclaim this assumption by using Ephesians 2:15 as their basis of evidence, which says. "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;..." The obvious truth here is, that the verse states that it was the Commandments contained in ORDINANCES that was abolished at the cross. Not the Ten Commandments contained in stone. The passage in Colossians 2:14-17 has also been used to preach the Commandments abolished. But if you read it you will find it was, "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances", again that is mentioned in that passage. According to the Word of God, these ordinances were "added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made" ( Galatians 3:19) It's rather clear to see here that the "commandments contained in ordinances" were added by Moses for a specific reason. If we read the passage again we see it also states these ordinances were only added TILL the seed should come. And who was this seed according to Scripture? Galatians 3:16 boldly proclaims, "thy seed, which is Christ."

The commandments contained in ordinances were added by Moses thousands of years ago as a way to prepare the people for the FIRST arrival of Messiah. They showed their faith in the coming Messiah by keeping the ordinances on a regular basis. When Jesus died on the cross, the ordinances were no longer needed because he fulfilled them by all He did while visiting us as Messiah. The "ordinances" were a series holy days, new moons, and Sabbath days that were to be considered a "shadow of things to come." The word "ordinance" is NOT the same as the word "commandment." where in the Ten Commandments does it speak of "meat and drink?" Nowhere do we find such statements in the Law of God.

I am interested in your thoughts on 'hell'. You said, "that Hell does not exist in Hebrew, Aramaic, or Latin". So if you read Psalm 16:10 & Psalm 139:8 which, of course mentions 'hell', what Hebrew word, in your studies, is applicable there. I understand it as 'sheol', but you may have another word or meaning for it.

Then in the NT, we have Matthew 10:28 & Luke 16:23, where the word for 'hell', is understood to be 'geenne', or Gehenna in Matthew, and 'ade' or Hades, in Luke's reference. I see that all of these references (OT & NT) depict a place & state of suffering. And if these are translated from the original manuscripts, I would be interested to learn what you are reading, the words used & the manuscripts they are derived from, as this can be very perplexing to us who are confined to the Bibles we have now.

And as a result of this, what is your understanding of a place of eternal suffering for the wicked: whether such a state even exists of which the Bible declares.

I agree with you, that just by the reading of that portion of Scripture, one could wonder what angered Noah. However, for Noah to have become angry there must be more to the story that we're not given.

We only know that Ham walked by Noah's opened tent 'door' & saw his father in that state of drunkenness & nakedness. He then recounted what he saw, to his brothers, who then went & covered up their father without looking at him. No doubt Noah would have then enquired about this other covering on him & maybe woke up because of the commotion going on. He might have learned the details of Ham's 'more than a casual glance' at him & therefore was angered by his son's behaviour. Of course, nothing is said of Noah's bad behaviour by imbibing too much & displaying himself after being overly warmed by the wine. But I guess the rest of the story is to show why Ham was cursed for this act & the fallout for his descendants.

I fully agree David. But whose DNA do you think Jesus would have had? A completely new, specific to a new creation-type of DNA, or from Mary? I'm thinking: was Jesus' DNA comparable to Adam's DNA in that completely new creation of God? Or, if Jesus had DNA or genetic markers from Mary, how then does the sin nature through her bear upon Him? These maybe rhetorical questions, as can one give conclusive answers?

In this passage in Matthew, Jesus is speaking about judgement, specifically of judging one another. In verse 3, the challenge is to those (maybe most of us), who are quick to judge someone else, before first considering whether we are without sin & qualified to do so. So the "mote in thy brother's eye" speaks about us finding a small dry stalk (Gk. karphos) of sin in another person, when there is very likely a "beam" (Gk. dokon, a log, a timber beam) that is prominent in our own lives. The fact that Jesus picks upon the eye as the target, suggests that we stare at the person with conviction & judgement, finding fault based on our own perceptions, rather than closing our eyes & having a good look at ourselves first before speaking & casting judgement.

And to make matters worse, that judgemental person even has the gall to suggest that he helps the other one to remove that sin from him, when rather, he should attend to his own faults first (vv 4,5). And to this sin, the Jewish leaders were guilty of. An old story shows this truth clearly:

"A small-town baker bought his butter from a local farmer. One day he weighed the butter and concluded that the farmer had been reducing the amount in the packages but charging the same price. So the baker accused the farmer of fraud & took him to court.

In court the judge asked the farmer, "Do you have measuring weights?" "No sir," replied the farmer.

"How then do you manage to weigh the butter that you're selling to others?"

The farmer answered, "When the baker began buying his butter from me, I thought, 'that's nice of him - I'd better get my bread from him'. So I have been using his one pound loaf as the weight for the butter I sell. Sir, if the weight of the butter is wrong, he has only himself to blame & the error does not lie with me." I think you get Jesus' message to us.

Hi Jocelyn, Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: Now lets start here, If God tells them to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, God knows they can't do that with just Cain, Seth, and Abel. He would have to have blessed them with daughters, Have you noticed noone ever ask that about Seth or Abel? I believe it's because Cain went out and dwelt in the lad of nod after he killed Abel, and the think he found a wife from a pryor creation, but they forget God told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth it wasn't already replenished. Lets look carefully at when Cain went away, I think we may have a clue. Genesis 4:14-17 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, (that every one that findeth me shall slay me).

And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain,( lest any finding him should kill him.)

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

(And Cain knew his wife;) and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. It seems there were already people other than Cain and Abel, and I take the position Cain already have his wife, they could have been hundreds of years old, we are sure Adam and Eve had daughters, and Possibly Abel, One thing for sure, She's either his sister or his niece, Maybe someone else can provide more insight, I hope that helps.

And not only dwelling with the wicked, but living in the flesh. For the tongue is a fiery member and cannot be tamed. Out of it comes blessing and cursing. This should not be as Paul tells us. Christ can cover you in righteousness to not only forgive you this sin, but send His Holy Spirit to tame this fiery member.

Hi Danae, we read here the final words of the risen Jesus speaking to John, concluding with this great invitation. This invitation is to all people, those from Jesus' day ( John 4:9-15): "living water' = "water of life" to all people since that time. And this invitation has always been open to all, all of us who are sinners, that we are to come to Him, to the foot of the Cross, whereby we may find that shed blood to cleanse us from all sin & that "living water" that brings refreshment to our parched & spiritually thirsty hearts. His teaching to the Samaritan woman was that of 'well water' (physical water) that at best can only satisfy us physically & in the short term. But His Water (the spiritual water) is not from a 'well dug into the ground', but from the 'well' deep within the believer continually 'bubbling over & over', bringing deep satisfaction, quenching our thirst & giving assurance of our faith & of everlasting life.

But "why does God give us a choice since He is Sovereign?" Man has always had the power to choose, usually unwisely (I think of the first bad choice made by Adam & Eve). But when it comes to receiving salvation, even though God already knows our response to the Gospel & His Spirit's call (tug) on our hearts, the invitation is always there, because a response is required. If the Gospel is to be preached for a sinner to be saved, that sinner must first sense the Spirit's conviction of that sin & that either produces true repentance or a disregard to it. If that person is appointed to eternal life (according to God's foreknowledge of that person), that conviction in him, must produce something, or else he is merely a machine (robot). We are humans that involuntarily respond to all kinds of situations; & to sin's conviction, we cry out to God for forgiveness & when God sees that torn, wretched soul seeking its hope only in Christ, salvation is granted & permanent. Yes, God is sovereign but He requires our response to His invitation ( Rev 22:17).

Hi Mark.. Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. This should be what you're looking for, and there is several more scriptures on this.

AMEN!!!! Asaph's Psalm...I'm just SO thankful that the Psalmists of the LORD's had problems with people that suffer from the same spiritual disEase today that they did back then. Satan LOATHES his OWN children! For if he loved them, as he lies to say he does, wouldn't he want not them to suffer, but to spend eternity...above? In Hell there will be torment--it was made for him, NOT THEM. But many snared by this serpent...will be burning forever...as him. Like father...like daughter. Like son, like mom.... But that is to say--the opposite is true for SOME! Surely I know examples, and the LORD GOD's Son teaches us this: "And a man's enemies, shall be..." from whence?

Thank you to those who created and those who maintainthis website...it is an help meet for those like me!

    Love ya'll!

He was physically human, having physical human DNA, Jesus wouldn't have been able to be killed if He wasn't flesh and blood. After His resurrection His body was indestructible, one resembling the son of man. His nature, all His thought and actions however were always the Spirit of His Father. John the Baptist said God gave Him the Spirit without measure.

Hi Ronald. According to Matthew 13:55,56, "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?"

Since Jesus' birth as the Son of God wasn't the result of the procreation of Joseph & Mary but of Divine Seed, His birth had to be exceptional, both in terms of his dual Being as Human & Divine, but also in His relationship to His 'parents & siblings'. His four brothers & sisters (not told their number), could only ever be Jesus' 'half' brothers/sisters as they came into the world from the union of their parents, unlike Jesus coming from God, His Father, the Producer of that Holy Seed.

The questions then arise: did Jesus also have similar DNA (or, even genetic markers) as the other siblings or His Mother, or did Jesus' physical appearance have similarities to the others? Depending on where your understanding on this is (i.e. if Jesus' birth was wholly Divine with Mary only contributing to His human nurture, sustenance & delivery of the Babe from the womb; or, if Jesus' birth was half Divine & half human thereby giving Him both Sonship to God & man), you might have your answer. My belief is that Jesus' was wholly Divine for the simple reason that if He wasn't, then the sin nature (of Mary) would have been passed onto Him: & I don't understand that from Scripture. Others, might understand this differently.
