Those that didn't die in Christ, that weren't 1st fruits, take part in the 2nd resurrection. Only anti-christ (spirit), false prophet (spirit), and the devil (spirit) are tossed in the lake of fire. Take those 3 spirits away, and we'll live as God intended us to. Therefore, everyone gets in because God doesn't create junk. Judas, Stalin, and bogey man Hitler etc, get in. We are all part of the grand scheme unfolding.

To me, raising children is like raising grapes. You do your best, but sometimes they grow wild.

    Isaiah 5:2

"And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes."

Please pray to GOD #1--to Praise Him on my behalf. GOD withheld mine heart from anger both yesterday and nigh ALL of today. Save now, I am beginning to get riled up within my spirit, again. It IS righteous indignation. The abusers which abuse, stalk, lie, and fight to keep me from being free of their control, abuse, and harm...they are as Christ spake...my enemies, and they are of my OWN HOUSEHOLD. They have hated me my entire life--WITHOUT CAUSE! GOD was MERCIFUL to me yesterday, and the majority of today in keeping my heart from any anger or wrath--"like water off a duck's back--" my enemies wielded their swords--but the LORD...FOUGHT BACK! Praise HIM for me, but too, also do this, brethren: #2:Pray that the LORD now return nigh unto my soul. For the witch that IS my mother--would me to be angry. She IS a witch, as far as I know. Yet, sadly, as many wolves, she adorns her outer in SHEEP'S CLOTHES! And sews unto herself, a fate she KNOWS she'll reap. So said the LORD GOD, unto lowly ME...in a younger day, in dream! Yet sustaineth He me--via the blessings and help--those that would to succour--via the Pslams of those who've TOO felt EXACTLY as I'VE felt! Lowly ME...in fellowship with our forefather--David (the king)! And not just he, but nameless and even OTHERS! THe abuse and the damage, caused unto my body by my father and mother--mainly by her--my body she destroys. And others before me--human lives--to the wicked as toys. And exceeding the bounds, of the indeceny of wickedness, so hath my mother found, the unbound by her darkness--as souless as so odious. Yet detest I this the most--surely please pray, for me--#3--that the LORD WILL to bless me BE FREE of these (...enemies without a cause). Thank you to all, who succour me with prayer, lest thy sibling in Christ fall and praise the LORD who helpeth mine steps. As the psalmist said--"Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence."-->for none other stood FOR HIM too!

With all respect to your Pastor, the Bible reveals to us many things about water baptism that is not generally practised by the Church today. For various reasons, mainly for convenience & expediency, we do things differently now. For example, rarely does a sinner get saved & is then baptised soon afterwards - sometimes it can be weeks, months or years. The baptism is generally done within the confines of a Church building, whereas the object of it is for the personal & public testimony to others (outsiders) that this person who has left all is now identifying with Christ alone. The sinner who is saved is also asked to sit in for several sessions of Bible study & counselling to ensure he is ready of baptism (when did this happen in the Scriptures?). And as you've written, baptism seems to be done by pastors or elders, when another person (maybe by the one who has led or been witness to the sinner's salvation experience) can & should be the baptizer.

Maybe, your Pastor might believe in a special authority or power given to those appointed as Church leaders, to administer this ordinance or that only such an appointment can truly determine the reality of the baptizee's faith. Yet, in the days of the early Church, there was no such requirement: people got saved by hearing the Gospel & soon afterwards were baptized as an extension of that salvation experience. Though it is true that the apostles, because of the newness of the Church, did baptize folk & later, the leaders of the Church also did so as instructed by the apostles, but the Word never indicates that to baptize someone is only the responsibility of pastors. Nevertheless, please don't think ill of this servant of the Lord - we are not called to judge but to esteem one another in love & to learn from the Word under his direction.

Dear Harold, the short answer to that is: our salvation with its promises are given by God our Creator & Redeemer & are not from the intellect or authority of man. If man had devised this plan & given us an assurance, we have every reason to doubt & despair. But if God has done the Work of saving man, even to the giving of His Son to secure our salvation, then we know that He can be wholly depended on for that salvation & indeed, every promise given to us. John 6:37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out", is Jesus' personal promise to each one who has been appointed to receive eternal life & who approaches Jesus via the Cross. None who come to God in this way (His Way) will ever be rejected.

But the long answer is found in the reading of the whole Epistle of John. I can't share it in depth, but if you read it carefully with some things in mind, you'll receive much confirmation & blessing to your heart. There are four main reasons the Apostle John gives for writing this letter: 1 John 1:4, "These things write we unto you, that your joy may be full"; 1 John 2:1: "These things write I unto you, that ye sin not"; 1 John 2:26: "These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you"; and 1 John 5:13: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

As you read this epistle, keeping in mind those four reasons for writing given by John (i.e. for the fullness of your joy, to abstain from sin, be aware of & reject false teaching, and to know for sure that eternal life is your possession both now & into eternity), the Spirit Who inspired these Truths, will confirm to your heart that what has taken place in your life, is not false or wasted, but done in God's Power & Plan for you. Heaven is your present possession - walk on joyfully. The Lord bless you.

Hello, my name is Serge Lauper from Zrich, Switzerland. On the 3 February I accepted Jesus Christ as the savior. I was very confused before, dabbling with Jewish religion and spirituality in general. I'm very happy to have learned the truth! I learn as much as I can, I pray, I repent. I hope I won't die when judgement comes, which might be soon according to many signs. If you would be so kind, please include me in your prayers. Thank you for your time!

An angel came to me as a child! Called my name twice as if he was standing right next to me! I was 5 then and now 57. Jesus Christ has always been before time itself! All shall give Him the honor, glory, praise, for there is no other name on earth or heaven then Jesus Christ, for He made all things possible in this life and for the eternal life that I hope I am worthy of only by His will will I be with Him forever!!! Every knee shall bow at His second coming and remember Jesus Christ will come, with His Holy Angels!! Our hearts shall rejoice with for all eternity!!!!! Selah!!!

When the Jews were subject to the Romans, I believe they would have had the same question and this was Jesus answer to them at the time.

Mark 12:14 "And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?" 15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see [it]. 16 And they brought [it]. And he saith unto them, Whose [is] this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
  • Steven Spencer - In Reply on Psalms 91 - 4 years ago
Hi Mona, I agree Psalms 91 is a beautiful Psalms, I just don't see in it where we shouldn't worry about our kids behavior, Now as kids I believe they are covered by the blood of Christ as were we, but they will grow up some day. How do we celebrate their salvation Now when they haven't reached the age of accountability yet, someday they will have to make the same decision you and I made, then I say celebrate. Yes I worry about this younger generation especially in these times of rising apostasy. Again Psalms 91 is great like many other verses to only those who believe. It's like John 3:18 following another great verse John 3:16. ( He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.)

Why did God give us a choice to accept or reject in Rev.22:17, esp since He is sovereign?

Is it because of his righteousness or because it is free?

    Thanks

My husband was incarcerated these past 5 yrs. He's an addict. We've been doing this off and on thing with incarnations for 20 yrs. He has a yr clean on the outside and I'm really proud of him. I thought when he came home this time around that he would want to be with me every weekend or at least most. I'm finding that out to be not so much. He thinks he's doing great, and I will admit, compared to times in the past he's doing awesome. I just Need more. I waited forever to build a life with him and I feel that I'm being passed by once again for something else. With that being said I don't even know how to do this for my situation. I just know I'm miserable. I have been looking to my husband to fulfill my joy in life & its not working. Somethings got to give. I can't count on him for much & he definitely doesn't want to do things with me like I'd like him to. I what I really need is for God to calm my heart and mind while he is making these adjustments in my life and I need to accept and grow from my experiences. I just don't understand why they have to be so painful & why I can't have the husband that chooses me in most everything.

  • Bendito Palavra - In Reply on Mark 3 - 4 years ago
When our first ancestor Adam disobeyed God, the entire human family was sold into slavery to the devil. Anyone who "sells their soul" is only acting out what is already the case, further deceiving themselves. None of us even owns our own soul, we are either a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ, or a child of the devil:

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. ( Romans 7:14)

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. ( 2 Timothy 2:25-26)

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. ( 1 John 5:18-19)

Jesus Christ came to redeem us from bondage to sin and the devil:

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ( Titus 2:13-14)

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. ( 1 Peter 1:18-21)

Tremaine, I am in tears reading your words, for I too am about to be in your situation, I turned to this verse in my Bible today and I thought I understood the meaning but I wanted to make sure so I came here for a more clear understanding, I almost did not read your comment but something said to stop and read, and boy am I glad that I did, God is trying to prepare me for the things to come, I need to lean on God as the man in my house and trust His will, I often get sidetracked by thoughts that my sins have caused my life to be harder so I deserve what comes my way, however, even if that is true it does not matter, God is a God of mercy and forgiveness and my past does not jade me to God's grace, because grace is not earned, he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Don't you just love the hymn, "Praise the Father, Praise the Son, Praise the Spirit every one; Praise the King of Glory, Praise Him for eternity"?

(Based on Psalm 24:8; Psalm 24:10)

Psalm 24:8-10 8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. (KJV)
