Hi Linda, to answer question, no there is no requirement to be born again, when you accept Christ as your Lord and savior you are baptised, baptised means to be Identified with, you are put in the body of believers, Its the Lord that baptises you. water baptism is ritual, thats why it comes after you are converted.

Please pray for my daughter, Kiera. Please pray that the Lord changes her heart in regards to her being attracted to other women. It is an abomination against God for he made them male and female from the beginning of creation. I worry about her salvation even though she believes in and loves Jesus, she feels it is okay because love is love. It is wrong! It is unnatural! I pray for her, but I feel as though God will not change her heart if she does not feel or think she is doing anything wrong, but I am hopeful that God will have mercy and take the blinders off her eyes, and the truth is revealed to her. Please, maybe if more people pray for my Kiera, God will hear and will turn her from this sin she is committing against him. Thank you and God Bless!

And what exactly are you taught about original sin? Do you think whatever you're taught is somehow more correct than Ezekiel? The Bible doesn't contradict itself, only man has contradictory interpretations of it sometimes. In Ezekiel 18:20 it says we don't bear the iniquity of the father- is that the verse that doesn't seem consistent with what you were told? I personally don't see any evidence in the Bible that we are punished for others' sins. However, God changed the way he decided to deal wtih mankind based on Adam & Eve eating the fruit, but that's not exactly being punished for sin.
