There are times we don't know why things happen the way they do, so we become fretful, fearful, begging and demanding for Yah/Elohim to fix our life. I pray that we let go and turn everything over to our Creator of Heaven and Earth. Yes never cease praying, and when 2 or more are gather in HIS name Yah is in the mist. Christ said lay all our burdens on him. It can be hard when we see our love ones and friends going through issues of life. I pray that we will Bless HIS Holy name, give thanks to HIM, praise HIM, sing to HIM, and exalt HIM, and when we do He will hear us clearly. When we asked for things to be fix in our life, Yah/Elohim already knows before we open our mouths. With that said give thanks to HIM, and Bless Him our Father who art in heaven. I pray that all these prayers are answer according to HIS will. I pray that when we come to HIM just thank HIM for all HIS mercy and grace HE has given us to this point. There are no coincidences in like, because God makes no mistakes. Sometimes He may try to get our attention, oh I know because me being a stiff neck in life ignoring HIM certainly got my attention later in life. We are in these trying days where everything may look bad, but let not our hearts be fearful but filled with Elohim will. Jesus Christ said that he will send the comforted to us. If we ask it shall be given to us, but let not our faith waver. I pray that we continue to humble and submit ourselves to HIS will, and trust all thing works for the good who put trust in our ABBA FATHER. I pray that Christ Jesus (Yeshua) give us strength and power to defeat the darkness of this world. Remember we are made of light and in HIS image. Remember there is no darkness in our beloved God/Yah. May peace be with us all, and I pray for speedy recovery for the sick, people are financially struggling, people who feel sad, and people who feel like given up. Christ Jesus lives within you. That's a great question Danae. It is one that has brought on many discussions & ideas over the years.

My belief is this: you're right that Mary & Joseph were ordinary human beings, though of course special as they were selected by God to bring forth His Son into the World. And in their humanity, they, like us, were born with a sin nature passed onto us from our first parents. And they would have sinned as well, though some would teach that they (specifically Mary) did not, since they were in every respect human as we are.

So why wouldn't baby Jesus also receive a sin nature like all of us? I see it this way: neither Mary or Joseph contributed to the conception of the babe. That is, Joseph certainly wasn't the father & Mary did not contribute her ovum to this conception. The Bible says in Luke 1:35, "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God."

I understand this verse to say that God, by His Spirit overshadowed Mary & placed this Holy Seed (one entirely from God without human intervention) into Mary's womb. So this Seed had not the nature that is passed down through mankind - it is a pure & Holy Seed. So couldn't God just zap Jesus onto the Earth & avoid all this human involvement? Well, the Scriptures speak of this Holy One coming, Who would be the Messiah, born in humanity ( 2 Samuel 7:12,13; Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2), so Jesus was born in fulfilment of all Scriptures, even the Sacrifices which spoke about His redemptive work. Yet, Jesus' Birth was without a sin nature so that He could ultimately be the Perfect Spotless Sacrifice for mankind. So Jesus was tempted of Satan ( Matthew 4:1-11), not to commit sin since He had no sin nature, but Satan wanted to cause the sin nature to be a part of Jesus, just as he did to Adam & Eve. But Jesus resisted this attempt & remained pure ( Hebrews 4:15).

Andrew, Are you suggesting Jesus lied about the condition of the rich man and Lazarus, a non fictional account of persons departed this world, as family members are still on Earth? And, neither of the two had been resurrected yet.

Sadly, No. There are many all over the world, especially amongst the tribals in various countries, that the Gospel hasn't gone out to yet. And there are many who have heard of Jesus, but have received information that is wrong & not according to what the Bible teaches. There is some work going on amongst the tribals in India, & may well be also in Africa, South America & East Asia, but that work is very difficult. Firstly, missionaries going to them need to be accepted by the tribe, they have to learn the language & develop a usable script & slowly begin to share the Truths that will free them from idolatrous or animistic beliefs. Many of God's servants are killed at the time of first contact but the Gospel still goes out & many get saved.

Answer: Although the Bible does not give the timeline of events during earlier chapters of Genesis it can be assumed that there were several years, perhaps even a hundred in which other births of Adam and Eve's who have grown up and knowing ALL of their siblings, it quite reasonable to see that Cain [may have] been concerned for their retaliating on behalf of Abel. Of course this is just a reasonable guess, but not without the obvious conclusion(s).

My daughter's best friend just had surgery. She just woke and immediately the staff knew something was wrong. They just put her under anesthesia AGAIN and her husband, children, family, my daughter are terrified. She is a wonderful wife, mother and friend.
