Hi Rick, I don't think we lost this country in one day. we've been working hard on that for a long time as a people apart from the politicians, Now hear is a nation HOLY AND CHOSEN. 1st Peter 2:9. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an HOLY NATION, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into a marvelous light; And that is the same nation Jesus mentioned in Mathew 21:43. Therefor say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. That's the Church. understanding not clear of tares and leaven as you see in the scriptures, Proverb 16:18. Pride goes before a destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Look at the sin of Sodom as God compares Israel to them in Ezekiel 16:49-50. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore i took them away as I saw good. Now compare that to the early church in Acts 2:44-47.

That proverb, "All roads lead to Rome" is not found in the Bible, rather from a development of what was significant of the City of Rome in the bygone Roman Empire. It was said that 'All paths or activities lead to the centre of things. This was literally true in the days of the Roman Empire, when all the empire's roads radiated out from the capital city, Rome.' As well, there were a few films made with that title, but nothing to suggest this in God's Word.

You certainly have been through so much in your life & we can certainly see the Work of God in you to help you in your release from the things that have controlled you. Thank you for that testimony of God's Grace & to know that you're experiencing the Power & Love of God in ways that many fail to experience or even notice.

He's always there for you & His Spirit within you will ever be your strength, comfort, guide & companion. The Word is there for you & to keep in your heart: "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3. And it's particularly at those lowest times in life, that a 'shout out' to the Lord brings forth His Word of Peace & Comfort (the great & mighty things which the world can never know) but becomes the reason for your joy & strengthening of faith in the One Who gave Himself for you. The Lord bless you & keep you strong in faith & in His Love, Curtis, & write in if you need to - someone's always around to help.

In line with Adam's concern that maybe we're not reading the correct view from each of your daughters, it's difficult to accurately comment. But I would say this, & it may not be according to your question, that for me, my 'religion' & world politics go hand-in-hand, they cannot be separated if I am to live correctly & being accountable to the God Who has purchased me. In fact, everything I do in whatever sphere of my earthly experience, including politics, I have to make judgement & use God's Word to decide on what to believe, to perform & who to accept.

After all, in the days of the revelation of the Anti-Christ, who is a both a political & religious figure, all people living under his government & control will have to decide on where their devotion will ultimately lie. So religion & politics, at least for the Christian goes very much together, & if they can indeed separate the two, then hypocrisy & insincerity are matters that will come before them & they will need to deal with those. But from the govt's standpoint (i.e. to keep politics & religion separate & be mutually exclusive), I can understand where a secular govt. should take that stand to govern their citizens for their lives as people on Earth without calling in their religious position as a factor of good governance. As long as Satan is the god of this World, no govt could ever give a true righteous rule over her people. Only until the Righteous One of God rules, will this World ever see how both government & true religion can bring about real fulfilment, peace & joy in living. Until then, there will always be turmoil & rampant wickedness, all displaying how far we have gone from the Word of God & by using our own defective & sinful wisdom to rule.

Hi George, yes I believe Mary experienced birth pains, Genesis 3;16. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thy shall bring forth children. I don't think Mary was pardoned, Neither did God pardoned Jesus when he barred our sins on the cross.
  • Adam - In Reply on Psalms 96:2 - 5 years ago
He was fully man and fully God. Hard to comprehend of course. He seemed to chose not to use God-like qualities except for rare occasions to heal, perform miracles. He could have easily called 10,000 angels to avoid his crucifixion, but didn't. Matthew 26:53 He also fully experienced emotions of man- like stress- sweating blood, etc.
  • Chris - In Reply on Exodus 24 - 5 years ago
No, they did not see God, nor can any man see Him & continue to remain alive - such is the Majesty & Holiness of the Almighty ( Exodus 33:20), that sinners such as us would instantly dissolve at such a revelation . Even Moses, who begged to see God (to see His Glory) was not permitted, but God made a concession to him by walking by Moses, covering his eyes & only allowing His "back parts" to be seen ( Exodus 33:12-23).

So in Exodus 24:10, the four plus 70 of the elders of Israel, were only permitted to see God in a very limited way (we're not told this time what was seen except for the sapphire stone beneath Him & the appearance of the heavenlies around Him. They saw no body or shape, but what God chose to reveal to them. Even the Apostle Paul in his transportation into Heaven, heard such wonderful words that could not be spoken about to anyone ( 2 Corinthians 12:1-4) - and I sometimes wonder what Paul also saw there. Whatever he heard & saw, he revealed to us with the heavenly wisdom displayed in his letters to the Churches.

  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 6:23 - 5 years ago
In Romans 11:25, we read, "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

This verse, nor any other verse by inference, does not suggest that all people will be saved prior to Christ's coming, but that all who are 'appointed' (or, pre-destined, or better understood as, destined according to God's foreknowledge) by God to attain salvation (whether Jew or Gentile) will have come to salvation prior to the close of the age. So there will still be people that will turn to Christ for salvation after Jesus comes for His children who are saved now, but in that last day of the closure of all things, all who are appointed for salvation will be with Christ & God, & those who reject Him are consigned to an eternity of suffering & separation.

Curtis, that's a very good observation & comments. This is my take on it: I can see that you understand about man's creation, his sin & that this nature was transmitted to each of his progeny, including us, so will deal less with that.

So how was Jesus' coming any different? Was Jesus not fully Man? Firstly, in 1 Corinthians 15:45, Paul refers to Jesus as the "last Adam" & even though he was writing in respect to death & resurrection in that passage, that phrase is worth noting & expanding. The coming of Jesus was similar to that of Adam & yet different. Adam was a 'fresh' creation by God from the 'dust of the ground'; Jesus was & is the "Word of God made human". Both the first & last Adams were made by God except for their origins (one earthy, the other spiritual). Both were created perfect & sinless - one however succumbed to Satan's convincing arguments, the Other, withstood Satan by His (Jesus') Own Word, as God's Word.

When Satan comes to Adam's progeny with the temptation to sin, we provide no resistance to him as the sin nature was transmitted to us all & it becomes a 'given' that we WILL sin. At Jesus' temptation, Satan had to create the sin nature in Him just as he did to Adam, but Jesus withstood him thus being the perfect & fully acceptable Sacrifice for our sins. Indeed, God could have wiped us all out for our disobedience & sin nature within, but in His Love & Mercy, He gave us a way out: His chance for our escape.

So if Jesus was the only sinless One ever to walk on Earth, was He then entirely Man as we are? His coming in the flesh was through a human agency unlike Adam's creation. Jesus' conception in Mary was from the Seed of God not from the dust of the ground (i.e. a new Adam made in the womb). He was a full human embryo in Mary & brought into the World in the usual way to fulfil the prophecies about His coming & His lineage to David & to Adam. Jesus was perfectly Man in every way (physically, emotionally & spiritually) BUT without sin.

    Hi Patricia,

You wrote "she says my one daughter says" which sounds like hearsay. It's best to hear something directly from a person so you know it's not changed through another person. So I would not make any judgments or worry unless you hear from that person directly. Everyone has beliefs and everyone has a religion in my opinion. Christianity is a religion. People claiming to be woke or progressive will pretend it's not a religion but a relationship, but those are not mutually exclusive terms. It is both. Atheism is also a religion. Atheists put their faith in unproved, never witnessed theories to explain their existence. Some of them put their hope and faith in other men- who are atheist scientists like them. Some put their hope and faith in government, which is why some cry and burn down cities when they don't get their way, acting like a spoiled 4 year old. Some pursue and worship idols, money, power, fame. Matthew 6:19-21

    JOHN 16

The Work of the Holy Spirit

"I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5But now I am going to him (Father) who sent me, and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?' 6But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper (HOLY SPIRIT) will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8And when HE comes, HE will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9concerning sin, because they do not believe in ME; 10concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world (Satan) is judged.

12"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13When the Spirit of truth comes, HE will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he HEARS, he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

Other passages that will help you to get back in step with the Holy Spirit:

    2 Titus

1 John 1, particularly the prayer in verse 9

    Isaiah 1:16-19

If we stubbornly persist in satisfying fleshly over-indulgence, sex sins, copying worldly ways of living, etc. we KNOW when we are falling away.

The Holy Spirit comes to convict you; to do His Work again. That "knowing" that you sense in your spirit, is HIM. So listen and do respond to His urging.

Another thing we are to do: is to move from "baby Christian" to growing up in Christ. Not reading in the New Testament of the Bible, leaves us vulnerable. Decide who you are following: the world, or the Lord, Jesus? The Holy Spirit is your TEACHER. Ask him your questions. Listen
