Jesus was without sin came to earth sinless and yes had gone through same as mankind!we were born into original sin and continue to sin ..that said if God was made in the flesh like man God could have never sinned?man cannot do that God was able to resist every temptation man cannot so how is it that we were on equal ground up against a sinful man to God who was sinless?how is it he became man when he was sinless we could never do that so God was man except for one thing sinless?so he was not entirely man ???

I am very sorry you are having these problems. I know just how it feels. I will pray for you. I feel the same way and I have asked God would he please just take me now so I do not have to deal with this world any longer and I really mean it if I am going to Heaven then I would like out of this crazy world, it is so depressing. God created us a beautiful world to live in and what do we do? Mess it all up for everyone. So sad and depressing and I wish there was something I could do for you but I do want you to know you are not by yourself at all there are millions just like us. Hope things get better for you! Thank you God, Amen

We're glad that you're here too, Nathan. We all together have so much to learn from the Lord & His Word, & we are able to share with one another to teach or encourage each other in our precious holy faith. Pop by when you want to know something or have a word of encouragement for us. Blessings on you too.

Eli seemed to have been a worthy priest in his day but found lacking in his fatherly duties & responsibilities. His feeble checking of his sons' misbehaviour didn't carry through to a stronger discipline or removal from their positions. Maybe Eli didn't have the proper parental fortitude to stand up to his sons' evil ways, or he might have been forced to overlook the matter for the sake of having 'ministering priests' available, there being no one else.

And we can see this type of thing happening when there isn't proper discipline taken in the home or the Church. For some, their elevated position & almost spiritual infallibility seem to give them licence to what they please & there being none strong enough to warn them or deal with them. Or take the example of a pastor or missionary who is so heavily involved in ministry, demanding almost all his time & energies, yet neglecting the spiritual & emotional welfare of his own family. How often we hear of these children, who ought to be wonderful examples of the Lord's servants, but having left the Church & leading lives of sinful abandon. The Lord's Work begins first in the home, the proving ground for higher service; 1 Timothy 3:4,5.

Pray for the departed. If for only that his faith were made whole. Only God can do these things! Remember ,He knows the very numbered hairs on your head! Sometimes God will reveal things to us ,to help us understand these things. Very, very important that we do not take the predetermined council of God away! Or that we have the inalienable right to do so! the war for the children's souls have already been won ,through His Son, Jesus Christ! This you must believe and teach to your children! Only Jesus Christ!

Lord and Lord of Hosts... The difference between the 2 is almost enigmatic here; however, we are talking about 2 different entities here. Why has this never been brought up in the modern "Church" and, significance?

Paul wrote, there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 8:6 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:29
  • Dahg - In Reply on Luke 1:31 - 5 years ago
My brother, I fear that you have been seduced by false doctrine. Please remember that God the father and Jesus the lord are 2 separate beings. The book of Genesis quotes God the father saying, "I am God and there is none beside me." On the other hand Jesus said, "My father works and I work, I do nothing of myself, but my father who is in heaven." The son cannot be his own father, nor the father be his own son. The names given in the first chapter of Rev. are revealed to be pertaining to God the father when one reads Rev. 1:4&5. Please take note of the word 'and' at the beginning of vs.5.

Yes, John is writing to Christians in his epistle. And yet the truth of love is upon each person, whether Christian or the non-Christian who claims to know & love God: that true love for God demands a love for one another. Or else, how can that earthly love be real when we claim to love God, Who can't be felt or seen.

But what does that Love entail? This is a pure, holy, Christlike love. One that reaches out to a brother, sister or anyone in need: whether for comfort, provision, practical help, or whatever. The opposite of that is, turning away from the needy, even when the Spirit impresses upon the believers' heart to go forward & minister to him/her. And in extreme cases, even when considering our own lives when another is about to perish, thus we hold back. I know this can be difficult as many factors come into play, but we need to keep tender hearts towards all people, regardless on how we're treated, reaching out to them as Christ would have done & expects us to do. And yes, we are all still growing in this area & hopefully maturing into the fullness of Christ's Love in us & through us.
  • Dahg - In Reply on James 2:3 - 5 years ago
Sorry to tell you, but Paul didn't write the book of James. It was James the Lords' brother and he was writing to Jewish believers who knew the "law" and instructing them on how to 'come out from among her my people.'

    Page 2.

When these apostates left, they would have not had any convictions about their actions - they were cast off to join the throng of Christ-rejecters, & more so, having also once been partakers of the Spirit's offerings (6:4-6, shows the same warning there also). For the believer, all sin is forgivable, except for blasphemy & here, in rejecting Christ after having received the Gospel of Truth, & their fate is certain. Therefore, Christ's death did deal with all manner of sins & God looks only on that Perfect Sacrifice that was able to accomplish it. What we do with that salvation subsequent to hearing & receiving it, it's up to us & remains before God. If we should slip up & sin, Christ's Blood continues to clean. If we choose to live in sin & say we are Christians, then we have to re-examine our lives & see what has gone wrong with our belief system & repent quickly & be born again by the Holy Spirit.

    Page 1.

Oftentimes, we Christians look at a Scripture & form a judgement. It's always a good practise to learn as much as you can about a Bible book in regards to the authorship, readership, reasons for writing, etc. Hebrews was written primarily to Jews who had converted to Christ or likely, appeared to do so. So, unlike Gentile converts, these Jews had a lot of the OT already in their minds & so the writer had to deal with much of that. We can't go into that here; as you read this epistle with that in mind, you will see some of these hurdles they had to overcome.

Hebrews 10:26,27, is one of those warnings given. It was directed to some who had or were planning to leave the faith (apostatize); in other words, they wanted to reject Christ & His salvation preferring to return to Judaism. Hence the 'sin' spoken of in v26, is the sin of Christ rejection by turning back to Judaism. So the writer goes on in v28,29, that if those who wilfully disobeyed the Law in times past were executed for their crime, how much more worthy will be the punishment for any who now consider the Sacrifice of Christ as a useless vain offering, showing hatred to God's gracious Work.

Biblically there is no day named that we are to keep holy. The day is simply called the Sabbath/Shabot. They were told specifically to "remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy" Since Christ is our Sabbath or Rest then we are to 'rest' in Him and cease from our own labor and work for the Kingdom of God.

I do not understand this verse. Eli was a priest and I believe he could have done something to salvage the situation. Why accept such a gruesome future.

This warning was coming to him a 2nd time, he should have rebuked his sons and done all he could to stop them from continual desecration of the house of God. If he could sense the voice of God, then he should know that God will do what he has said. Why not be remorseful and take appropriate actions to stop his sons. That's what I would have done, even if my sons threatened to kill my flesh, bcos God can kill both the flesh and the soul. Why did Eli accept this faith?

This prophetical Book is generally placed at around 605-607 BC during the reign of Judah's King Jehoiakim. And this prophecy was just before Nebuchadnezzar took Judah into Babylon captivity. So this prophesy served to warn Judah of the Lord's intention to punish her.
