See now that I am he , and there is no god with me : I kill and I make alive ; I wound , and I heal : neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand .
A word from the Lord to Moses
You said, "...The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18)..."
I heard a story about repentance that, for me, is a fairly old story.
So.....In China, a Han soldier had been captured. He had come to relaize the evil of that Han Dynasty . . . and, as an act of repentance, he not only left the Han Dynasty . . . he became a soldier with this other group of freedom fighters. So, as the story is used to clarify what it is to 'Repent', there is a major transfomation that takes place in deep, heart-felt, repentance!
Another interesting word is 'Forgiveness'! When some people think of forgiving someone, it has nothing to do with becoming reconciled to a restored relationship. Yet, that is exactly what Jesus is talking about when He uses the word. In Christ, the main reason to forgive someone is to restore a broken relationship . . . hence, Reconcilement!
There is only one Lord God that sits on the throne , and it may shock some to find it's not Jesus sitting on the throne , ask your self why not , then who is on the throne ? The Same lord that has always been on the Throne , and Jesus is his FIRST Son is at his right hand . But Jesus is not sitting on the throne the Father is on the throne . According to James there is one God even the devils know this !
The Hebrew word "naphach", which is translated as "breathed", can mean breathed or to blow into, or to inflate. The Hebrew word "neshamah", which is translated as "breath", refers to vital breath of inspiration, and is also translated as "spirit" in other Old Testament verses such as in Proverbs 20:27, which states "The spirit ("neshamah") of a man is the candle of the Lord". From the meanings of these Hebrew words, the phrase "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life", from Genesis 2:7 can be restated as "blew into his nostrils the spirit of life". We know Adam's spirit - the breath from God, is what gave him life. Another words, Adam's spirit entering his body from God's breath (or "spirit"), started his heart to beat, and then, Adam's spirit flowed into his bloodstream, causing Adam to become a living soul ( Gen. 2:7). As you can tell from my explanation, God breathed Adam's spirit into him, and, as a result, Adam's soul was created. Some feel that this verse merely says that Adam came to life, but let's take a closer look. How do I know his spirit entered his bloodstream? That word "soul" is translated from the Hebrew word "Nephesh". There is another reference in the Bible, at Leviticus 17:11, which states: For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Another reference is at Deuteronomy 12:23, which also indicates that "the blood is the life". However, in both of these verses, it is also the word "Nephesh", which is, in fact, translated "life", instead of "soul", as it's translated in Genesis 2:7. In Deuteronomy 12:23, God is telling Moses not to allow the people to eat the blood of animals, because "the blood is the soul". Leviticus 17:11 declares that "the soul of the flesh is in the blood".
I do because Jesus is of God a huge difference. If Jesus is God then He is God on the Throne not at the right hand of God on the throne as I speak .
Jesus is the Son of God .
A Son obeys his father !
The father always has authority over all his sons while in his house . God rules everywhere so We all including Jesus are in Gods domain .
If your son at home did his own will and ignored you , he would not be well pleasing to you .
Jesus always acknowledges the father and obedience to him .
And you will never find in the scriptures that Jesus is God . But will find over 40 times Jesus is the Son of God even by Gods own witness . I stick with the word of God . So clear it is !
Praise be to Jesus he goes to the father and will come again !
This truly is something that seems to greatly divide the body of Christ. Some people like to say "Jesus is God" and some like to say "Jesus is only the Son of God and not equal to the Father". I guess me posting this is to bring peace between us and not argue over things which, through picking different verses, can be deemed different ways. Jesus Christ is the only beloved Son of God. Born of a virgin conceived by the Holy Ghost. I'm sure we all agree on that. Jesus Christ is a man as to no other man to have ever walked this earth. Filled with the Holy Spirit of His Father. Doing miracles no one had ever experienced before in all of time. Truly God was in Him.
I am not taking one side or the other in this. I have no problem with people saying "Jesus Christ is God". Or people saying "He is the Son of God". He is, was, and always shall be. Jesus Christ is the only way unto the Father and is One with the Father. Everything has been given to Him by His Father. He is our King and Lord. God our Father want's us to honor the Son even as we honor the Father. John 5:19-23
May the Lord bring peace among us who are with Jesus Christ. We do not need division. The enemy wants us divided. I pray we may come together in peaceful conversation about things not of this world as they are from above. As none of us knows everything. Through the Holy Spirit I pray bring us together my Father. Teach us in your great knowledge and glory in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Ye have how I said unto you , I go away and come again unto you . If you loved me ye would rejoice , because I said , I GO UNTO THE FATHER : FOR MY FATHER IS GREATER THAN I .
John 13 v16
Verily verily , I say unto you the servant is not greater than his lord : neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him .
John 13 v 20
A few verses of so many . Jesus is OF God and Truly God with us because he is born of God . But Jesus is servant to his father . Not equal in that way .
Jesus was sent by the father . And Jesus did as the father instructed him . If Jesus was equal to the father he never would have needed the fathers help in any way . And would just act independently of the father . But Jesus was servant to the father . God on the throne has no counselling from anyone . But does his own will .
Jesus said my father is greater than I , so you err !
Jesus prayed to the father because the father was greater than he , so you err !
"I and my Father are one.(equal)" John 10:30 This is the case scripture makes for the equality of the persons of God, you err.
The Jews understood the claims of Jesus,"because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." John 10:33 Bob, you diminish God because he does not fit your sin tainted logic, and that is tragic.
The story line is almost identical but I remember it differently and I was reading from KJV
Perhaps I am mistaken
Therefore With joy ye shall draw water from
the wells of salvation .
Wells are very deep and so is the depth of Gods love .
Amen &Amen
The fact that you're reading the Bible, praying and have concern about your salvation is an indication that you care about following Jesus and obeying God. Given that, I believe you should have no concerns and feel secure in your salvation if you have become a Christian and followed what the Bible says in repenting, confessing, believing: Link We're not saved for being perfect and sinless, but because we're actively following, believing and trusting in Jesus. We should absolutely try as hard as we can to avoid sin, but we will still be imperfect flawed sinners, regardless, because no one is perfect except Jesus. So, you said you worried about being a hypocrite, but all people except Jesus is imperfect and struggles with sin. So, you are a normal person. Link
God bless you in 2021!
Yes Jesus is from God the father , but not equal to the father , because he received from the father all things .
Case closed . Jesus is the Son of God .
