    2 Cor 12:11,

    "I am become a fool in glorying(boasting); ..."

What does the one who boasts become?
  • Giannis - 1 year ago
    2 Cor 12:9-10,

"9...most gladly therefore will I rather glory(boast) in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

Boast in his infirmities? Take pleasure in his necessities and persecutions? Why? Because in that way the power of God was shown to/in him. Certainly Paul had reached a high spiritual level.

    2 Cor 10:17-18,

"17But he that glorieth(boast), let him glory in the Lord. 18For not he that commendeth(recommends) himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth."

    2 Cor 10:4-5,

"4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations(the grk says "thoughts, considerations"), and every high thing that exalteth itself against the

knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

    2 Cor 9:13,

"Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed SUBJECTION UNTO THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;"

Helping our brothers and sisterd is subjection to the Gospel. The theory is good but the time of the practical subjection to the Gospel is better.

    2 Cor 9:6,

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

Do we like to get a lot from God? Then we must be ready to give a lot (to our brothers and sisters).

    Thought for Today - October 5, 2023

    Pressing Forward

    By: Robert A. Searles

This is the first day of the rest of our lives. Having come before our Lord this morning in prayer, and according to his faithfulness to cleanse and forgive; having received forgiveness and cleansing; let us begin at the place where we are at this moment, forgetting those things which are behind and reach forward to those things which are before us.

We can do nothing about what has passed except to ask God to forgive us for our sins and short coming, but by God's grace and enabling power, we can if we will, take that which we have now and "Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3: 14.

What is the prize of the high calling of God? The prize of the high calling of God is: "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." Philippians 3 10.

The prize of the high calling of God is our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself." Philippians 3:-21.

I'm doing great I have a doctor's appointment today. God is good and he has given me grace which I'm truly grateful for. The job is going well the kids I complained about are in the CPS . They had documentation of the kids behavior. So know I can rest easy and enjoy my job.

You said "We can depend on what he has revealed of Himself and what He has caused to be recorded of His Words in Scripture. He is the same yesterday, today, and always".

    I agree with that 100%!

( Titus 1:2) Tells us "In hope of eternal life, which ((God, that cannot lie)), promised before the world began".

    God cannot lie.

The KJB tells us that Jesus said in ( Jn 7:8) .."I go ((not up yet)) unto this feast" Then v10 Jesus goes to the feast.

All modern version bibles change what Jesus said in v8 to "I am ((not going)) to this festival" Then v10 Jesus went to the festival in all of the modern versions.

Modern versions all changed the words to make Jesus a liar. Would you say that's acceptable?

It seems that could be blasphemy, changing the words so it sounds like Jesus is a liar. God surely didn't cause those words to be recorded in Scripture to make Jesus a liar. This one thing is Biblical proof that modern versions are all corrupt, and they are not inspired by God.

It only needs to be seen and accepted as the Truth that it is.

God Bless all who seek God's Truth.

The 10 Commandments remain paramount for all Christians today.

They were given to all present at Mt. Sinai, including the strangers who were present, as well as all who were not present that day.

Jesus came teaching and obeying all of them and His followers who walked along side Him on this earth also followed all of them immediately after His death and for 300 years thereafter until the Catholic church was instituted and changed everything.

John teaches that sin is the breaking of the 10 Commandments and that we are to obey all of them just as Jesus Christ did.

    Christian MEANS follower of Christ.

    Christ obeyed the 10 Commandments,

    Christ taught the 10 Commandments

and Christ's followers obeyed them all

    AND ...

all Christ's true followers today CONTINUE to obey the 10 Commandments of God Almighty.

    Karoanne"

The Word is from everlasting to everlasting, He has not begining nor ending. JESUS is the begining. The Word is GOD-John1:1-, The same was in the beginning -was in JESUS-with GOD- John 1:2. As said the angel of the Lord -John the Baptist - "No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared Him". Isaiah 9:6 - Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. JESUS said: I and my Father are One( John 10:30), and All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth- Matthew 28:18.

Who knows GOD? Who knows JESUS? Even JESUS Himself said: No man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him- Matthew 11:27. It's it.

Why do most Christians NOT keep YAHWEH laws and statues or his holy days? Are we following the word of man? Or what scripture says? It seems as though the first. Why do we put a tree up with garland and bulbs? In celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Scriptures says not to do this. What does chocolate bunnies and colored eggs have to do with the resurrection of Christ? I do not believe Christ was born in December MAYBE conceived yes but not born. Too many things point to this not to be the time of his birth, though we do not know when he was born I'm confident it was not in December in the middle of winter. Why do we go to church on Sundays? Who says Sunday is the Sabbath? A man made calendar?! Those days were not named nor was the months. We are not to name the days. So are we following the word of man or what scriptures says? When you read scripture do you understand something different at times then what you are told it says? And feel kinda lost or unsure about the meaning or just doesn't make sense but you believe it because this is what your told it means?! Again, why do Christians celebrate man made holidays but not YAHWEH'S ?

    2 Cor 7:10-11,

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."

    What is needed for salvation?

    Have a blessed day/night.

    2 Cor 7:6,

"Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;"

The grk instead of "that are cast down" says "the humble" (grk tapeinous)

So who are those that God comforts?

    2 Cor 7:1,

"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
