Yet many hold to trinity doctrines of the RCC that are part and parcel of the same false religion, you later said God is only father and you are correct as Jesus called him father and God . No man even Jesus never claimed the position of God .

There is one Lord God and Jesus acknowledged that yet RCC and many others can not comprehend this . Jesus is born of God comes from God , Son of God and Mary . But not the LORD GOD . No man can claim this as you said and neither did Jesus .

Melchizedek was a King of Salem (an old reference to a city that eventually became the position of modern Jerusalem) & a priest. In those early days, gentile kings often had the duty of being a priest as well to their people. Though he was a gentile (a Canaanite) but one of such standing & belief of the True God, that he was not only worthy of mention, but his lack of revealed ancestry, provided a picture of the eternal priesthood of Jesus (to which Hebrews ascribe).

When you read the Genesis 14 account of Abraham & Melchizedek, we see that this king acknowledged Abraham returning from war & provided him & his men victuals to sustain them. In return, Abraham gave to him tithes (a tenth) of the spoils of war, thereby acknowledging his position & help given & the blessing of God upon him for doing this for God's servant. Ordinarily, such a gentile would not have been given much attention & respect, but Melchizedek was a different character in many ways.

Yes, we get an indication of the physical Satan in Ezekiel 28:12-19. Though Ezekiel is directing his prophecy to the King of Tyrus, we understand that through the description of his wickedness, the picture of Satan (& specifically Satan's former position in Heaven as a 'cherub' & 'having being in the Garden of Eden') clearly show us a dual meaning to this prophecy. Yes, Satan had beauty & perfection (verses 12,13,17) & as a cherub, that position is normally associated in being in close proximity to God's Presence (as in the Tabernacle on Earth & over the Ark of the Covenant), & in relation to God's Holiness.

Why did Satan go bad? Verse 17 tells us that his heart "was lifted up because of his beauty". Not that he always admired himself 'in the mirror', but his heart was lifted up against the Most High, believing that he was as good or better than God. See Isaiah 14:12-15, & particularly, that he was perfect, Ezekiel 28:15 (sinless, as all the other heavenly beings), until his pride took over & he believed he was better than God. But the big question: how was it possible for Satan to sin, & can other heavenly beings likewise sin? It seems that even by being in the Holy Presence of God & finding complete delight in worshipping Him, there can still be that element of choice. For in his pride & estrangement from God, he also gathered to himself other 'defecting' angels (see 2 Peter 2:4; Revelation 12:7-9; Jude 1:6).

We see Jesus in His humanity, though pure & sinless, He was tempted of Satan (Matthew chapter 4). Jesus resisted Satan using God's Word against him. However, Satan was in the presence of God & His Word in Heaven, yet allowed the thought of grandeur to enter in & develop into sin ( James 1:15) & finally a full blown wickedness that saw him banished from God's Presence & ever since, working against God to bring & keep humanity in his solid grip. But the Cross of Jesus brings us release from that grip - if we can only trust Jesus for it.

Indeed. Even as the Roman Catholics have their priests & 'fathers' as they also refer to the Pope as 'Holy father' or 'Sancta Papa'. We can never ascribe to any man such a position & relationship as that we have to Almighty God, our Heavenly Father.

When Jesus spoke about this matter, it seemed that the Jewish leaders/teachers used that title, supposing that "the teacher formed the man" therefore giving them that right or authority. However, the Source of all life & Truth is from God & is God, so there can be no man that deserves such an honour. Yet as you correctly say, that Jesus' warning is not directed to our natural fathers, who can be called such because of our biological relationship to them.

This is generally ascribed to the prophet Jeremiah, who not only gave dire warnings to Judah about the upcoming punishment by God, but in the Book of Lamentations, he weeps over them & Jerusalem. This Book in fact is often recited by the Jews as they pray & weep at the 'Wailing Wall'.

I had an older woman, whom states she is a Christian, state that when you die, that your soul goes into Hades (she stated that Hades was in Heaven) where you rest until the Rapture and then the soul returns to the body on earth....

If you're thinking more in terms of "what pagan nation took Israel into captivity?", then it was Assyria. And this old kingdom was located, we understand, is the northern part of Iraq & south-eastern Turkey.

As Israel went into captivity, so to did Judah also go into captivity to Babylon, about 150 years later.

My brother in Christ, who is a pastor, caught Covid and while he is in the Covid ward at the hospital, a family member died back at his house. Please pray for my brother and the family and that God will be glorified and the healing be a witness to all those serving in the hospital, as well as those interacting with the ministry that God's love never fails and He really does watch over His children even moreso than the sparrows.

That is a very good question. As we also have Exodus 33:20 stating no one can see the face of God and live. As I have heard a couple of Testimonies, from people, that stated to have experiences with God the Father and could not see His face.

Back to your question. The Greek word "horao", translated "to see", has a word origin stating this. "Properly to stare at, that is (by implication), to discern clearly (physically or mentally). The uses, of the same word, in the KJV Bible are: behold, perceive, see, take heed. As see and perceive, also behold, are usually for physically seeing something. To "take heed" may have a translation of: to keep to, obey, regard or mind something. And others. So really using the word "see", as in John 1:18, as you've pointed out, doesn't look like the word they should have used. Like you stated with having people observing, seeing, God in Exodus 24:10-11. As maybe a better word, in John 1:18, would have been something along the line of obeyed or regarded. As nobody has ever lived a sinless life except Jesus Christ. Heeding all glory to the Father.

Please pray for my son, Michael. He gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ years ago and was baptized when he was young. Lately, he has not been doing so well spiritually. He is following the ways of the world. His friends are real worldly and his thoughts are the same as his friends. He is truly unequally yoked with unbelievers and those who call themselves believers but live in sin...He is actually destroying his life in different ways... Impling that he himself was gonna be multiplied as the stars of heaven. When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he gave her the startling announcement that "the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God." When you and I place our faith in Jesus Christ and invite Him to come live within us, the Holy Spirit comes upon us, and the power of God overshadows us, and the life of Jesus is born within us. We do not conceive a physical life, but the spiritual life of Jesus in the Person of the Holy Spirit.

It is the indwelling powerful Person of the Holy Spirit Who sets me free from the habits of sin. But the power I possess to live a life pleasing to God is directly related to how much control of my life I give to the Holy Spirit.

That's very good that you could share with them in that way. Though I suspect that they may not be as well informed with their own Scriptures. The New World Translation Bible translates 2 Corinthians 13:5 (in part): "Or do you not recognize that Jesus Christ is in union with you?" Once again, they conveniently change the Greek from "in you" to "union with you" - quite a change & quite a difference to the original Greek. So, the Son of God Who indwells us (by His Spirit) all of a sudden becomes one that is 'joined' to us, thereby negating the omni-present power of the Saviour.

And of course, Revelation chapter 1 speaks wholly of Jesus Christ & His claim, even in verse 8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." And this shows the full Deity of Christ, to which of course the JW could never see or agree to. It is tough going with them, since they use a translation that has been adequately changed to deny Jesus His rightful position in the Godhead. But keep at it, brother. I too have a great time with them, so much so, that they avoid my house altogether in their 'travels'.

John 17:9 Jesus prays "not for the world", yet we sing upon His birth Joy To The World. Why do we do that? Maybe we should sing Joy To God's Chosen.
