The only reference that I can think of, pertains to buying & selling on the Sabbath Day. Assuming that there was sufficient food & other items to be traded, on the Sabbath, Israel was required to desist from any trading (amongst many other things), so as to keep the Day of Rest holy unto the Lord. Nehemiah 10:31, speaks of this:

"And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt."

Jesus fasted 40 days and 40 nights without eating. God had His angels minster unto Him. Jesus was absolutely on a mission for God. Our church had a 10-day fast. It was from midnight to noon, or midnight to 3:00PM without food, but praying all the while in our heart. Let God speak to you. He knows your heart. On the 10th night we had all night prayer meeting and the Spirit of God was high. People were saved, and some received the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord came by and everyone was really blessed. Let Jesus lead you in all things. If you are on medication, take it with water and go on with the fast as you physically can. You can fast 5 days, 7 days. Talk with Jesus. It is also a suggestion to have someone fast with you. This way, you have a prayer partner and spiritual support. Jesus said when two or three are gathered in my name, I'll be there. How great is this!

If you type the word in the Search Box at the top left of the Main Page, it will give you your answer. As it happens, the word 'Church' appears 114 times.

However, the word 'Church' is from the Greek, 'Ekklesia', & this means 'an assembly or congregation'. So in Acts 7:38, Stephen, when testifying to the Jews, mentioned "the church (which was) in the wilderness", referring to the Israelite congregation that had fled the bondage in Egypt. So the 'Church' that was born from Jesus Christ is only seen in the New Testament, but it can have a broader meaning to any assembling of people or congregation, specifically those meeting as part of a religious group or gathering.

And then one sees a group such as the "Church of Scientology" who regard themselves as a Church (because of the primary meaning of 'Ekklesia'), but has almost no reference in its teaching to anything of God & Christ leaving such belief to the conviction of its adherents.

Blasphemy is speaking against the Word of God, and speaking profanely about God. Man can be saved from every thing except blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. St. Mark 3:228-29: "All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation." This is truly unforgiving. Be warned never, never commit this act.

Let's discuss sin. The main reason God sent his only begotten (special) Son Jesus into this world, was to save us from sin. St. John 3: 16-17, For God so loved the world, that He sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. What are we saved from? We can be saved from sin. Jesus is the light of the world. Verse 18: Every one that doeth evil hateth the light..." Verse 36. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

God is perfect, holy, loving, longsuffereing and excellent. Sin cannot and will not be in his presence. Jesus is perfect and he tells us in St. Matthew 5:48: Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. When Jesus tells us to be perfect, he furnishes the Holy Ghost power for us to be perfect. Believe in Jesus, practice His doctrine of righteousness each and every day. We must exercise faith in God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. The Bible also tells us, "without faith we sin". We must sincerely love and trust God with all our mind, body, soul and strength.

Jesus told the adulterous woman, "Go in peace and sin no more." We are saved when we remove sin from our lives. St. Luke 14:33: ...There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Repentance is the key. We must stop sinning and live righteously. Every eye shall see Jesus, but none but the pure in heart shall see God. St. Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. We are lost without Christ in our lives.

St. John 8:24: ...Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. What is sin? It is trangressing the law of God. The ten commandments tells us what we cannot do. Ephesians 4:24...Put on the new man,

Thank you Gary for that great & accurate declaration of a believer's condition & standing before God.

Galatians 5:16-18: "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law."

The war continually rages between our renewed (born again) spirits & the appeal of carnal flesh. Many just give up & submit to the flesh & continue to do so, erroneously believing that "my salvation & eternity are secure through this great transaction".

Romans 8:8-10: "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."

The Word is clear: as those born again from above, we live according to direction & power of the Holy Spirit & not inclined towards the appeal of the flesh. Though our bodies are corrupt & decaying because of the effects of sin, one day they too will be renewed in that great Translation Day, in which both spirit & the incorruptible body will be taken away to enjoy eternity with the LORD & His Christ.

Yes, Paul struggled with the pull by the spirit & the flesh, & he called it "a war" between his members (Romans chapter 7). If you were referring to the same brother as I'm thinking of, he also said that Paul's struggle happened when he was still bound in his old nature (as an unregenerate Jew), not having Christ's Spirit. But that chapter doesn't suggest that at all, showing the struggle that exists, indeed must be real & constant, in every believer who is still on this Earth & having the Spirit of Christ in him. Saved sinners are not exempt.

Hello, My question is: In Psalms 37:11; 29 it speaks of the righteous and the meek will inherit the earth.

Also Mathew 5:5 Jesus said "Happy are the meek for they will inherit the earth."

If Christian's are to go to heaven when they die, how is it they will inherit the earth?

Also is the Old Testament primarily for the Jews?

Is the NT for the Jews and Gentiles?

What does it mean in Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul that sinneth it shall die? Does this mean there's no life after we die? Same with Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 "The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered.

6 Whatever they did in their lifetime-loving, hating, envying-is all long gone. They no longer play a part in anything here on earth. NLT

I was once a Jehovah Witness and I've come to realise they don't practise the Truth. So please help me try to understand what the true message if the gospel is.

I have many more questions, but it will take time to understand it all

    Thanks Trish Western

    Hello Ed,

Wanting to give my thoughts to the question you have. I believe yes animals do have a soul. But they do not have a spirit as us humans do. As we all know different animals can have different personalities and uniqueness. Even thou the same type of animal. Showing they do have attributes to a soul. Although as us humans being made "in the image of God" have a spirit which is unique to humans over any other animal. Although I believe God is in everything living, even His trees, they do not have the "spirit" we have been Blessed with. One attribute being our link to our Father in Heaven through the Holy Spirit. Having received from Christ.

My belief on your question. God Bless you brother.

Verse 25 , 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word , verse 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot , or wrinkle or any such thing ; but that it should be holy and with out blemish.

The word of God cleans and in so many ways . I just love this verse 27 . With all the sin in the world and around us Jesus will present the Church as a glorious church !

He will build his church no matter what the evil is going on .

The word of God , stay in it and let it cleanse you from all evil !

    The World of Antichrist

    APRIL 3, 2020/PREACHERSPOINT

The last two weeks I've written about the signs of Christ's return going on around the world. Worldwide pestilence, earthquakes in divers place, wars and rumors wars, massive locust swarms in Africa, and the list continues.

Through various forms of correspondence, I have received the following questions, "Is this the end of the world?" "Is Christ coming back soon?" "Are we in the Tribulation Period?" "Will we see Armageddon in a few months?"

This column will try, on the one hand, to calm people down somewhat; and, on the other hand, give the warning people need to hear.

Let us do the quick answers first.

"Is this the end of the world?" Until the rapture happens, we are at least 1,007 years from the end of this earth.

"Are we in the Tribulation Period?" - No. The Tribulation period begins when the Antichrist makes a seven-year covenant "with many" concerning Israel and the city of Jerusalem ( Daniel 9:27). This event has yet to happen.

The big battle everyone thinks about is Armageddon. Well, two Biblical battles must take place before Armageddon ( Psalm 83, Ezekiel 38-39). Also, Armageddon comes at the end of the seven-year tribulation period that has not yet started (see above).

As far as Christ return - Is it close? The Second Coming is the last event of the Tribulation Period, so, at this point, we have at least seven years before Christ sets foot on this earth again. However, the rapture (Christ appearing in the air and removing believers) could happen at any moment.

At this point, let us fill in some details about the future as Biblical prophecy explains it to us.

There will still be national borders at the time of the Antichrist. The Bible talks of other "kings" on earth with him. He will be running the show and calling the shots as the leaders of the world, will eventually be wrapped a

The first line of the Bible states that heaven is created along with the creation of the earth ( Genesis 1). It is primarily God's dwelling place in the biblical tradition: a parallel realm where everything operates according to God's will.

In Genesis 1, much is written about heaven, firmament, dividing, etc. all those center of the page columns (abc notes) refer to other scriptures. You'll need a study Bible with that feature. Or...

You can go on Google and type in: charts of 3 heavens. NOT all of them are accurate according to scripture.

God is Spirit. He doesn't need to stand on something. The Holy Spirit is Spirit; same thing. In Genesis, Jesus's name is the Word.

    See John 1:1-5

    Philippians 2:8-10, 6 and 3:19

    Revelation 19:13

    Zechariah 13:7

    Isaiah 9:6

All those scriptures may have reference notes to additional scriptures. You need a reference study Bible, to research deeply.

It takes determination to search out the mysteries of God.

Always ask the Holy Spirit to HELP you and TEACH you those mysteries. He's the Spirit of Christ; and a born again Christian has the Mind of Christ. You have everything you need when combined with Faith: faith that the Holy Spirit does what scripture says that He does. Pursue Him.

I see so many comments on here. One that really disturbed me was from Bro. D: His saying "if u still sin; your heart is not right.!"

Really? Guess Paul's heart was not right, because he said that he sinned!

All of this born of God stuff in 1st John completely ties together with what Jesus said about being born again!

Jesus said being born again was a must, and the only way we could enter heaven!

Then he told us on down in the same chapter of John three how to be born again!

    By believing in him!

If you do, you will never die and you have everlasting life!

    It changes you.

You are no longer a dead spirit and flawed flesh, but a brand new spirit that cannot sin!!!

Because you are born of God and his incorruptible seed remains in you !!!

    You are incorruptible!!

    Perfect!

    Holy!

    Righteous!

But your old flesh is still flawed!!!

But it no longer counts against you in regard to eternity and your standing with God!!!

But your flesh is still going to die!

    It's still desiring to sin!

Still needing to be controlled by you!!!

And this is why Jesus says if we love him, to keep his commandments!

Our spirits cannot sin when we belong to Jesus!

But our flesh can and does!

God tells us to die to the sinful desires of our flesh!

    Daily!!!

Our righteousness can never be taken away!

Our salvation can never be lost !!!

Because it is Jesus' righteousness that we have now, not because we stopped sinning, but because he made us born again new spirits that cannot sin, or ever be corrupted like the first spirit was!!!

    All because of Jesus!!!!

    Our spirit in his Spirit!

We are no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth inside of us! If we don't have the Spirit of Christ inside of us, then we aren't his!!!

Praising the Lord Jesus Christ for giving us his righteousness, and not leaving our salvation subject to failure again by our actions!!!

Salvation is truly a free gift by grace thru faith in Jesus! Guaranteed unloseable, by God.

MATTHEW 13 Comments by Alex on the KINGDOM OF GOD that has to be WITH IN US VIA that good seed the WORD,Simply b/c an external Kingdom wd no threat to satan , satans kingdom is within us,Thus the Kingdom of God has to be with in us,Ya remember kingdom against Kingdom, thus our warfare is in our minds . Thus the Kingdom of God has to be with in US i.e we need the mind of Christ to win this war on SIN . But a Church building wd be no help at all . Simply b/c our warfare is in our minds, its internal,in the spirit . Thats y the good seed is sown in our hearts and minds etc as the branches have to be in the vine 24/7 not 1 day a week . Thats y he refered to himself as the SON OF MAN , he is gona be born in humanity ,mankind remember a lil child is gona lead them, that heavenly Child is the result of the good seed, Donot dispise the day of small things which is the seed of the sower that is gonna form Christ in US. Which is the manchild the H.G. THAT IS GONNA BE BORN IN US SINNERS VIA that good seed the WORD which is the PLUMLINE of the new covenant.a heavenly birth via a tiny seed but this tiny seed is the living word the PLUMLINE. ya Cannot build a house without a plumline ,but in the spritual realm the plumline is the living word which is God himself,The living word . By my Spirit saith the LORD. The H.G. is our plumline telling us when we get outta square or outta plum or outa level . Or outta his spirit or outta his truth .Jesus said that outa of the hearts of man proceeds all manner of evil thus we need a Plumline a new heart and a new spirit etc. The manchild is gonna rule all nations which is the H.G. Gods plumline . His weapons of war is the H.G. and fire is His holy judgement that we need ,The manchild but his judgement is ALSO his LOVE whom the lord loveth he chasenth . But this new innerman has to come via a birth .I.E. judgement is gonna come via a birth of the manchild Gods great judge ,that is gonna rule all nations.which is the H.G. the manchild,The H.G.

When a person allows the Holy Spirit full control and surrenders every battle to God because they completely surrender operating in the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible and every enemy is either destroyed or looks foolish before others. Hallelujiah and Amem.

The dead shall rise and the bones mend and breath re-enters. Satan and those full of pride are defeated and those who walk in falsehood are destroyed.

Hello all I would like to ask a prayer for my work my co-workers are being rude and making everything too personal the way they act they like a boss. I pray that the Lord will change and touch their hearts to be humble. Also please pray for my boss also that he will not use he's power to take advantage of the weak and not use his authority to humiliate others that don't speak.

That he will use his authority to bless others I desire salvation for my workmate also that they will meet the Lord and they will have personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

And for my online business I'm selling treats every weekend that the Lord will bless all the works of my hand all the glory honor, adoration, compliment, and praise belongs to the Lord.

I desire that the Lord will send angel to sold out my products and they will pay also. I believe if we ask it shall be given, if we seek we will find, if we knock the door will be open.

Thank you for all the people who prayed for me from the past and toady's request I appreciate it so much. God bless all our hearts desire. In Jesus name amen.

How can we use our mouths (voices) to speak what is good or bad?

The mouth is used for speaking:

    To speak what is good

Proverbs 10:11 See also Job 16:5; Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

    To praise

Psalm 71:8 See too Psalm 89:1--"I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; with my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness to all generations."

Romans 15:6 (NLT) -- "Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    To testify about God

Psalm 71:15 Compare Romans 10:10 (NLT) -- "For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."

    To speak what is bad

    Psalm 10:7 other references: 1 Samuel 2:3 --

"Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed."

    Proverbs 5:3 --

"For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil" -- NIV

Proverbs 7:21 -- New King James Version

"With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him."

Luke 6:45 Jesus said, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
