the Father had prepared another body for His Son to live & move & have His being in, & where Christ goes He brings His Father with Him, John 14:23
Folks,
this is the abundant life that Christ came to bring us, Life behind the veil, the Holy of Holies, there is no sin or sinning in His dwelling, which dwelling place is within our hearts. 1Cor 3:16,17
the Corithians hadn't not reach the baptizmal of Christ, yet they were believers & were living in a measure of the Grace of God. Holy Spirit had strong extortations toward them to stop living in the flesh, the veil. though they did not lack behind in many of the graces of God.
indicating, we must press on to perfection Hebrews 6:1
1John 1:3 John was speaking on the other side of the baptizmal of the Christ, he knew in power of being dead unto sin,
& the power of the resurrection of Christ within Him, joining Him to Christ & the Father John 17:21-24 in a consummate intimate fellowship which he explains to His children "that your joy maybe full, which they had & are experiencing in a measure; as they continue in the working out of their salvation, steadfast & confident unto the end.
We ourselve experience an increase in joy of this fellowship as He takes away our sin, & we don't return to them. His Presence increases in our lives, receving more of His Spirit by the hearing & obedience of Faith, which gives & increases us in what John say later "an understanding" 1John 5:20 & a part of this understanding is Philippians 4:13 which we have received.
Could non-believers read this epistles & become believers, of course; Mark 9:23 This is the heart of God Isa 49:6 Acts 13:47
in love & truth
Grace be to you
Thanks my friend, I'm glad you clarified this.
I will now make it a point to pay more attention to the posters name.

Thanks for your response and sharing your understanding of this scripture. I will continue to pray, study and research this as I want to keep an open mind. There has been some controversy over the years regarding exactly when, who and where the letters of 1John were presented, and to whom. Most agree, the letters would have been presented to wide gatherings of people in multiple places, which in all probability could include large audiences of not only believers, but also unbelievers.
It makes sense that John may have wanted to reach out and provide his messages to as many people as possible.
With that said, I was only commenting on 1 John verses 1-10, and as I read and understand these 10 verses, I still believe John was reaching out to the unsaved/nonbelievers in these particular verses. Not to dissect each verse I will present a key verse that sways me in my current understanding.
1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ."
John says that which we (Christians) have seen and heard we declare unto you (Christians already know this, he must be reaching out to others) John goes on to say: that ye also may have fellowship with us (Christians are already in fellowship, he is speaking to others that are not currently in fellowship) John then says: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (Existing Christians would already be in fellowship with the these entities)
I do agree the remaining chapters in 1 John 2,3,4 and 5 were directed at existing Christians.

I will be praying for you and family.
Peace be with you and them.
I am sorry to hear this. Please know that I will be praying for you. The Lord is good!
I just wanted to let you know that it was not anything I posted that FrankieJ agreed to. There is a user that goes by Jesse A. This is not me. I only post as Jesse. I'm just sending this out so you and others do not think that Jesse A is me.
Thanks brother,
Jesse
I will pray for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, We come to You as your children today in the name of Jesus and ask that You help Bibleman to overcome the trauma of the loss of his child and the divorce from his wife. These are terribe things to have come upon him and You know how he is suffering. Heal his broken spirit and lift up his mind and heart from depressing thoughts and feelings. Help him to better care for his daily needs especially with a disability. And we ask that you allow him to spend more days with his mom. Provide the transportation for him to visit her and keep her well cared for in the assisted living facility. Bless Bibleman today with peace, comfort, hope, resilience, strength, and energy. Bring to him motivation to accomplish things on a small scale for now and help him progress to more and more normalcy in his day to day life. Send people to him who can help him. Father, we set him in Your care. Amen.
Marcion taught that the Old Testament God Yahweh, was the creator of the earth, creator of evil, and lesser than the Father of Jesus, teaching that the Father of Jesus was a different God who is supreme and ineffable who is all love and mercy. So, Marcion believed there were two Gods and didn't include Jesus as one of them. He saw the Yahweh as vengeful, jealous tribal god who was merciless, and malevolent, calling him the "demi-urge". So, who does this description describe? To me, it describes Satan more that it describes the true God of all of the Bible or even the OT. The demi-urge idea is very ancient and most who taught and believed concerning it was that the Supreme God is good, and too pure to be involved with the created world. The demi-urge was the creator of the physical world and created evil. So Marcion had similar views as this dualism. He also believed that Jesus was not truly human, but only "put on an image of humanity" like a costume. This is called Docetism.
He was denounced as a heretic and rebutted by Tertullian and others. His views of God were not biblically sound, and Oseas' view of God is equally unbiblical and heretical. Sadly. But it is good to know this about him. It explains some of his posts and why they have left me wondering where he gets his ideas, as you queried. I hope he explains this.
That is a very weird phenomena. So strange. Wondering if there was thunder storms in the area at that time or change in atmospheric pressure with an incoming storm. That may cause air to be supercharged and may account for such a happening. But, most likely, physics are involved here. I doubt it had anything to do with your Step-dad's brother. But evil spirits of the air can mess with unbelievers. I pray that this is not the case. I am sorry that your step dad is so very ill.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today in the name of Your Son, Jesus, asking for revelation of why the fork did what it did. Ease Jema's and her parents' minds in affair. We know that You protect those who are Yours from evil so please, protect Jema and her parents' from evil effects in their home. We ask that You help Jema's step-dad in this illness, bring him to salvation and bring a good end to his life when the time comes. We ask that You help Jema and her mom to care for him at this time and to comfort them as they anticipate his passing sooner than they may have thought. Bless this entire family with Your peace, grace, mercy, and salvation for each family member. Help Jema speak words that come from the Holy Spirit that reach into their hearts in such a way that lead them to repentance and faith. Amen.
Always appreciate your kindness and concerns. I am so glad that God hears and answers the prayers of His children.
Thank you for the lovely prayer and mostly for praying along with the Spirit. he knows how we are to pray and will lead us and pray along with our heartfelt, faith-filled prayers.
The pain in my jaw is improving, but the bruising is beginning to show in the places of hard contact. So, I guess I can't go out in public now because people will look at my husband with disdain as if he caused them. This is our society now.
But it may take days for everything to subside.
As for covid, I have not had it yet and really do not want to get it due to the complications I have with respiratory infections with breathing capacities. We are staying away from each other in this household. But there are five in our home, We do need God's help and protection.
For "H" I choose honest.
God is always honest. He never deceives, nor does He promise and not deliver on that promise. He can be depended upon and His words can be taken as true and sure. There is no shadow of turning in Him, so He is consistently honest and forever honest.
As with all aspects of His nature, they never lessen or increase, never cease nor have a limit. So, he is forever honest. He will always lead us in what is true and good and pure and holy.
Heb. 6:18 says it is impossible for God to lie because it is against His nature to do so and He is only is what His nature is.
Prov. 14:5 says that a truthful witness does not deceive. So, since God is always truthful, His witness to mankind is never deceptive.
Romans 16:18 describes false teachers as those who use smooth words and flattery to deceive many Since God is honest, He will never use such words with us.
So, because God, in His infinite nature, is honest, we can put our lives in His hands, trusting in what God has promised to do for His children.
The contemporary Christian music industry was pretty much very small back in the 60's and 70's. But then it exploded in the 80's and 90's with the addition of music videos, concerts, and paraphernalia that accompanied the works of the artists that mirrored the worldly music industry.
At first church's began to have soloists or duets that sand contemporary songs during service and soon emerged the concept of the worship team complete with band instruments that are used by most rock and roll bands. The contemporary service was initiated where the whole congregation sang together the contemporary songs with the worship team.
This in itself is not wrong, but even this has been eclipsed by concert-like "services" now with worship team members jumping up and down, displayed on the big screens, smoke, and light shows. These are not necessary and really do distract worshippers from truly seeking God as our treasure as in the song you mentioned "Be Thou My Vision".
This type of religious service is very much focused on self and experience, emotions and getting a "high" from the experience. I do not wish to judge anyone here, but in my adult life I witnessed the progression in worship music and how it became more and more sensual and like the world's music more and more. The worship team members either dress "grunge-like" or are dressed immodestly, irreverently, and/or as if to put the focus on the singers and not on God.
But, even still, God can use any type of music that man creates as a way to worship Him. David used the lyre, the priests used trumpets. For many years the songs where sung without instruments in the Christian era-acapella and also in chanting. Then came the organs, then the pianos, and on and on. These in themselves can either be used to offer acceptable worship or in self-serving and even impure was of worship.
God looks on the heart. But as believers and worshippers, we can all certainly grow in the area of how we approach God in worship.
I hope your first days at work has gone well for you.
This song, Be Thou My Vision" is so very beautiful to sing and contemplate.
The part that stands out to me is where it says that God is our inheritance and treasure. I love to think on that. Oftentimes, either in songs or in our lives, the focus is on what we receive from God, but to know God as our inheritance and treasure and to proclaim it truly shows how deep is His value and desirability to those who believe. He is our heart's desire, our unspeakable gift, our unsurpassing inheritance, and our most worthwhile treasure, but above all, He is our greatest need, which only He can satisfy.
Good to have you back on here. I would like to continue our postings on the nature of God. So, I think we are on "H" yet I think you said you had more to post on "E,F,G".
Part 2. "Last reply"
Acts 21:18-31.
You stated, they were debating not opposing it, as we see in Acts 21:18-31 there is still division, the Jews were still in the law,
Let's take this from verse 17, I don't believe it was the Brothern debating Paul. It was the elders of the Jews.
Note: I will pause midway in verse 20 to show where they switch from glorifying God for the news Paul brought them concerning the Gentiles to telling Paul about the Jews that believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
Paul was warned in Acts 21:10-13 not to go to Jerusalem because this group sought to bind him.
Now, Luke says Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present. THIS IS THE ELDERS OF THE JEWS! NOT THE APOSTLES, AND IT IS NOT JAMES THAT IS CONTENDING WITH PAUL.
17) And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
18) And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
19) And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
20) And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, (PAUSE)
"Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
(THIS ZEALOUS GROUP IS NOT THE APOSTLES.) It is the Elders that is saying, "Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe."
Continuing with the Elders.
21) And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
22) What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
Ronald many of the Jews at that time practiced the rituals of the Law and tried to add that to the cross as we see in Galatians, but Paul refuted this.
Thanks for your time and have a good week Ronald.
God bless.
I agree it's time to let this topic rest between you and me. However, before I go, I will comment on your last reply.
Part 1
In Acts 15 it wasn't the apostles debating over the law or Judaism, (it was them debating the Pharisees).
Acts 15:5-6. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, that it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
Acts 15:22-24 You see the Apostles sent letters against this!
A Disciple is one who follows one's teachings, In Christianity these teachings is taught by the Holyspirit.
We are given Christ spirit to know and perform the things of Christ!
That's why they weren't sent out to the rest of the world until they were filled with the Holyspirit.
The spirit of Christ wouldn't have them continue in Judaism, Something Jesus died to free them from. "The curse of the Law"
The ministry of the Holyspirt is shown here in John 16:12-15.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
And concerning Acts 10:28, This is nothing to do with the context of our debate. We're debating whether one can lose his Salvation, which later we begun to debate whether the Apostles continued in Judaism "concerning Salvation" This has nothing to do with neither. Infact Acts 10:28-48 shows the opposite, the issue is that he went unto the uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
It's shown in Acts 11:17-18 that what they believed in and practiced went out to the Gentiles also.
See Part 2
God bless you.
Luke 17:26-27
26And as it was in the days of Noah,so it will be in the days of the Son of man.
27They ate, drank, married, gave in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark,the flood came and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:28-30
28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot;they did eat,they drank, they bought,they sold,they planted,they builded;
29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30Thus shall it be in this day of revelation of Son of man.
society of Noah's day ......................... society of Sodom
they ate and drank .......................... they ate and drank
they married and gave in marriage ....... they bought and sold
................ -x-x-x- ......................... they planted and built
The prophecy of Noah's days has already literally fulfilled around years 1950 to 1990,in this period of time there were celebration of weddings similar to society in the days of Noah. The society of Noah's day had let's say a natural"modus vivendi",or a normal way of life, there were celebration of weddings. From 1950 to 1990,It was common to eat and drink due to the development of large malls at that time,it was common celebration of weddings, and existence of strong family ties,as in the days of Noah.
The differences are great between Noah's society, and days of Sodom.See,the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly-Gen.13:13-they were wicked and corrupt, and immoral exceedingly,as the society is today.
There was not marriage among them, the society was polluted of prostitutes and sodomites/effeminate(gays),the society was infested of prostitution and great sinners.Lot dwelling among them was vexed in seeing and hearing the filthy conversation of the wicked,Lot vexed his righteous soul from day to day due the unlawful deeds of them-2 Pe.2:7-8 combined with Jude 1:6-7.
