I can't be sure, but it sounds as if you may have read some commentary or an individual's transliteration or depiction of Ezekiel 4:4-6.

"Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.

For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year."

What you read might have been the person's view of Israel's & Judah's sins (the nails representing the sins that Ezekiel had to bear (under him), both on the right & left side of his body as he lay). This type of translation, I believe, requires a great stretch of the imagination: though sin can be painful & requires one's quick release from its effects & God's judgement, to think that Ezekiel had to suffer by laying on nails for over a year, is not a thought that one should entertain.

Exodus 3 v 15 Comments by Alex on the TRINITY, Why i believe in the Trinity. There is only 1 God the Father but this 1 God the Father had a Son whom he instructs ALL the angels to worship . The Father wd be breaking the 1 st commandment if he instructed All the angels to WORSHIP the Son if he were not God the Son . In Hebrews 1 it says unto the Son, he says thy throne O GOD is forever and ever etc. This is my beloveth Son in whom i am well pleased. But the SON is not impotent he has a seed to sow which is his word saying to whom the word came it made them Gods plural ,thus we see the Son is gona be a Father, the Child is the H.G. tHE GRANSON IN RANK WITH Jacob .Thus we see 3 father son and granson just like Abraham Issac and Jacob . Thats y he told Moses i am the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob that is my name forever and my memorial to ALL GENERATIONS, Father son and granson resulting in the nation of ISRAEL. God almighty cd NOT tell Moses that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob if his kingdom were not a Father Son and Granson scenario , A FAMILY . Just like the Davidic Kingdom was Jesse, David and Solomon a family . Thats y the scripture speaks of an Israel of God, Its God Almighty that wants a posterity and Christ was just his 1st born of many brethren impling a family a heavenly family An ISRAEL OF GOD Thats y he told Moses that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob prophetic of an Israel of God that y Jesus is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G THE Child of PROMISE, THE Israel of God, we sinners are just a joint heir with the H.G That heavenly Jacob, Isaiah speaks of in 49 . If ya dont understand the abrahamic trinity ya will not understand the heavenly trinity . Abraham offered up his only son Issac just as God Almighty offered up his only son Jesus THAT PROVES THE TRINITY the Godhead, That ram caught in the thicket by his horns was symbolic of Christ, his Crown of Thorns. They remembered th ram caught in thicket when saw Jesus .

In the book of Isiah God said I am God and beside me the is no other. In hebrews c 1 vs 2 He said in the last days He will speak to the people through His Son by whom He made the Worlds. In John chp 3 vs 16 for God so loved the world that He gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON that who so ever believed in Him should have everlasting life. IF THERE IS NO SON THERE IS NO SACRIFICE. In Rev chp 4 vs 9 - 11 the four beast and the 24 elders praise GOD and say Thou art worthy ,O Lord to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things and for Thy pleasure they are and were created. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GIVE GOD CREDIT FOR HIS MIGHTY WORKS?

    Psalms

    Chapter 91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die

    Romans 14:23

And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin

    Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

    Bible. Mark 4:24

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it

Yes, I ask for prayers to cease the evildoing by my landlord who is forcing me and other tenants into wearing a face mask. I and some other tenants are Christians and this requirement violates our religious believe where God says "We are to appear to him in unveiled faces (2 Corinthians)." Furthermore, we have a medical condition that prevents us from wearing a face mask.

Lastly, prayers for God's help against the unsafe mold and Sick Building Syndrome environment within our apartment complex. I and other tenants have experienced illness and increased breathing problems in relation to this unsafe setting. I have filed complaints with local government; who have failed to address the issue being their is collusion with the property manager. Pray for us to find an attorney who will stand up for justice and expose this illegal as well as life threatening condition. Thank you and God bless you all.

There is a lot written about Moses in the Bible. His early life starts in the Book of Exodus chapter 2 & goes on to reveal his life, his calling by God, his leadership of God's people & finally his death in Joshua 1:1,2. You can start reading about him from Exodus chapter 2 but it might take you a while to get through the other three Bible books (Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy) to learn more about him.
  • Chris - In Reply on James 1:22 - 5 years ago
It is not necessary to "hide God's Holy Name" for it has been revealed many times over throughout Scripture & there is no Scripture to forbid us doing it. God has revealed Himself in multiple forms of His Name & this was so that we might know Him & love Him more for Who He is.

However, for the Jew, they are forbidden to speak God's Name, lest they mistakenly break the third Commandment, "Thou shall not take the Name of the LORD thy God in vain". Yet we are to praise His Name as we often see in the Psalter: e.g. Psalm 69:29,30; Psalm 96. I think that 'authority to hide God's Name' is from man's zeal & inclinations & not from God or His Holy Word.

In that portion of Scripture, Jesus had cried out, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (verse 46). The people around the cross who heard Jesus' cry thought He was calling out to Elias (Elijah), whereas Jesus was calling out to God His Father.

But the people were expecting Elijah to come before the Messiah, but they didn't know or failed to remember what Jesus said earlier, that John the Baptist did come in fulfilment of prophecy ( Malachi 3:1) by coming in the spirit & power of Elijah ( Matthew 11:7-14).
  • Keith Vaughan on Revelation 20 - 5 years ago
Revelation Chapter 20 is about how the devil can influence people, to such an extent that they worship false images and satanism instead of praising and to worship God and the Holy Spirit. God is for every person regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, race and background and try not to make the devil influence a person's judgement and the way how they live.
