I never had an education as such, due to chronic illness as a child, and find whilst I live by truth, I become angry with people who constantly tell lies. Due to often hardships in life, I find at the age of 70, I hold bitterness within. I have always believed n God and as a child prayed night and day continuous to let me live and to help me to breath. It is through God I strongly believe that I am alive today, and without it problems I had my family, whom I love very much. It was in my thirties and second marriage, I had a massive attack and was in a coma for a few weeks, upon awakening I was told I was very luck to be alive, they never expected me too pull through. I remember feeling very light as if I had been thoroughly blessed, upon awakening. However, I find it hard to UNDERSTAND GODS WORD, through my lack of education, and on the times I attempted to read the Bible found it too daunting to understand, so I gave up trying to read it. Upon reading 1 Corinthians ch13 V1-13, I found it hard to actually comprehend its meaning. What I deduced from it was about being charitable, where I have always helped others less fortunate than myself and I felt needed help. That was until a friend of mine who Had five young children and was divorced from her husband, told me in NO uncertain terms by text, after helping her for two years, where she greatly accepted my help an would often hint for other assistance; THAT I DID NOT HAVE TO BUY HER FRIENDSHIP, It was out of the blue, and that was all that was stated. I did not know where that came from and was greatly hurt by that as I thought I was helping her out, and that she knew me better than that. I walked away from her, after replying to her, I thought I was her friend, I don't buy anyone. Whilst I still help others, I feel very vulnerable about helping and being charitable. Can some explain to me the text I have just read, I do not expect any rewards for helping people, I thought that was being charitable.

What about the young children who have died long before the age of accountability? Why didn't the "promise of 70years" reach them? I don't think Lord promised any of 70 years.
  • Alex on Revelation 3:14 - 5 years ago
Comments by Alex on the reason Jesus had to die, It was simply for the sins of the World, Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the SINS of the world, But there is a hidden facet to the Cross, its multiplication when a seed dies it multiplies that was the great Promise I will multiply thy seed as the Stars of heaven, He told the Greeks that wanted to see him unless a seed dies it abides alone but if it dies it will bring forth much fruit impling many Christ as the stars of heaven that every man might gets a seed a measure of faith etc. That every man might birth a baby Christ which is the result of the New Birth via the seed of the sower thus an Israel of God. The multiplication of Issac resulted in the nation of Israel, but the multiplcation of Christ via his seed the word will result an Israel of GOD. Thats y he is saying that which is born of the spirit is spirit as God is spirit, The PROMISE WHICH IS THE H.G. A lil one shall become a 1000 and a small one a strong nation thats the result of his seed an Israel of God. Thus we see multiplication via his seed the Word . Thats y he said smite the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered then i will turn my hand to the little ones , little ones imply multiplication via his death, smite the shepherd implied his death. And to whom his word came it made them Gods thats y scriptures says this corruption must put on incorruption and this MORTAL MUST PUT ON IMMORTALITY that means we are gona be Gods thats what the H.G. is the multiplication of very God in us sinners thus IMMORTALITY IS GOD thats y God swore by his very self when he made that PROMISE to Christ, its GOD THAT WANTS A POSTERITY, AND CHRIST WAS JUST HIS 1ST BORN OF MANY BRETHREN. We are gonna live for ever under this new covenant . Thats y the prophets were so amazed saying what manner of love has the father bestoded upon us. we are gona be absolute sons like JESUS doing the works he did and Greater. Behold the lamb of God that taketh away th sins of the world

    This may help:

Ex 25:19And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

Ex 37:8One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

2 Sam 22:11And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

1 King 6:24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

1 King 6:25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.

1 King 6:26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.

1 King 6:27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

2 Chr 3:11And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

2 Chr 3:12And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

Ezra 2:59And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:

Neh 7:61And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.

Ps 18:10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

Final comment. Think honestly about this. In the Old Testament under Levitical law, or Mosaic law which is the same, the tabernacle with its altar of sacrifice, the exterior courtyard, the 1st & 2nd rooms...In that Levitical law, a blood sacrifice was required to atone for sin, at which time God counted that person righteous and sins were forgiven. That sacrifice had to be repeated yearly, as it did nothing more but save from sins committed & was repeated yearly. In the dispensation of Christ, the NT, He died on the cross & His blood was shed to atone for man's sin. Levitical, the sins were washed away on a yearly basis. In the NT, the blood of Christ cleanses us from sins committed for as long as we obey. Committing sin again removes that cleansing from the blood of Christ.

His blood does not save us from present/future sin because you'd not sin in the present or you couldn't have been saved. Ex: at 12 PM and 0 seconds you get saved. You can't have in your heart to be saved & to desire freedom from sin but at 12 PM & 1 second decide you'll sin just after being saved. His blood doesn't need to save from future sin. You would have lost the desire to sin when saved. Yes people can backslide, they disobey God after salvation and the atonement for sin is broken. Salvation never creates a saved sinner.

Saying we commit sin after the blood of Christ was applied is saying the Levitical law of sacrifice is better as it atones yearly but the blood of Christ doesn't free us from sin, if you believe you still sin after salvation. This means thinking Christ's blood is less powerful than bulls & goats blood. I'd hope you see that is wrong to think that Christ's blood is less powerful.

Ro. 5:19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Adam's sin caused all to be guilty of sin. Christ obeyed, became sacrifice on cross to save us from sin if the blood is applied. No righteous sinners exist.

I am just like some of the people that have been talked about. I have a real problem knowing what Preacher is for real on TV or just in it for the money? I wish I knew how to tell right off but I can't! I just tell myself not to watch them. I always end up finding something that bothers me about most of them. I know the devil is trying his best to turn you away from God and I can tell you this he will never see the day he will turn me from God no matter he does!! Praise the Lord Jesus! I have never seen in all my life all of the bad things that are going on right now! It is just crazy right now! I really believe the end of times is getting closer and I want God to know I am a true believer. I ask him almost every day to please get the devil out of my head because when I start reading about Jesus and Father God the devil always shows up in my mind trying to change the way I believe and I ask the Lord right then to please get him out of my mind and he helps me. Thanks to all of you that support all of us on this site. Amen I know we will not know when Jesus is coming down out of the sky and I respect that and I also believe the time is getting closer, to many things coming true he told us to watch for. Amen

My special brother Chris. The post, I made, was really not toward any certain comment. As to just spread peace. Your warm, thoughtful, and kind reply has truly touched me. The Holy Spirit invigorated me after reading it. As you are much more learned than I, have much more time and experience with the Lord, have done so many more good deeds and know the Holy Bible, or the Word of God, very well. You have my deep respect and am very thankful for all your thoughtfulness and care. Which of coarse is the Lord's Spirit shining through you. I always give credit to our Father, or the Lord, for everything, and always keep a humble mind thinking everyone is of more importance than me. As we are all truly unique and special in our own way. Sometimes the smallest things can make the greatest impact on people. Which then the love of God flows like a ripple on to others. Making our Father rejoice in gladness. Praise the Lord!

So true. As anyone who would every judge, or condemn, me has no effect at all on my relationship with our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. It may only sadden me a bit as I would much rather see people in joy, peace, and happiness together rather than quarreling about something. As I do understand we are all different and conversing with one another is a good thing. Love for each other is truly the most important thing I feel. As, of coarse, being saved by Jesus Christ our Lord and Salvation. Who is the only way to the Father which is pure love. As He loves us all so very much.

It will be of glory and marvel past our comprehension. Know that you are someone that I truly want to meet and will be asking about you when we are at Home in our Fathers Kingdom. God Bless you brother.

  • Keith Vaughan on Genesis 2 - 5 years ago
Genesis describes the creation of life on earth. This involves God creating creatures who live on land, sea and air. There was also the creation of Man, with the first man called Adam, who lived in the garden of Eden. God later formed Women because God did not want Adam to live on his own. Also they had to avoid some fruit from certain trees, because eating from them would result in death immediately. On the seventh day of creating earth and all living things, he rested from all his works, which relates in todays terms, Sunday is the Seventh Day and a day of rest and the day people worship in Church. This Chapter is one of the most important chapters of the Bible and the events leading up to the creation of earth and what happened on the Seventh day still effects us today.

Comments by Alex about the times we are living in. Remember Jesus scolded the Pharisees b/c they cd not discern the times and the seasons. Are not the 2000 swine that perished in the river symbolic of a 2000 yr spritual famine coming a night season when NO MAN can work that great abomination of desolation that Jesus warned us about. In Pharoahs dream he saw 14 kine come out of the river each animal was symbolic of 1 yr. A great famine of 14 yrs duration 7 good and 7 bad but my point is each animal was symbolic of 1 yr. Are not the 2000 swine that perished in the river symbolic of a 2000 yrs spritual famine not a famine of natural bread but a famine of hearing his voice THE WORD OF THE LORD we have not heard his voice in 2000 yrs.Jesus said the days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the son of man but you will not see them. The last 2000 yrs have been that time of desolation, 6.5 million jews died in hitlers death camp but God did not interceed for them simply b/c we are in that time of th great abomination of desolation when NO MAN CAN WORK . Just as he was dead for 2 days is just symbolic that he will not RISE AGAIN IN THE HEARTS OF MANKIND TILL THE 3 RD DAY. We are early in the rd day now . The great abomination of desolation has been upon us the last 2000 yrs .Even Paul said after my death shall grevious wolves come in to the Church Thus he gave them up till the woman gives birth as Micah said in 5 . But 4 times Jesus said he wd raise them up the 3 rd day again. Remember Jesus said your House is left unto you desolate .And in Hosea 6 he says after 2 days will he raise us up, and on the 3 rd day shall we will live in his sight,This is not about natural Israel but about the Israel of God. All the unrest around the world is just the signs of the times and the seasons Jesus spoke about When the Woman will go into Child birth simply b/c of the book that is gonna be opened which is the NEW Covenant . The WORDS of that book are the NEW COVENANT .

I'm unsure whether you're referring to particular comments, but you can rest assured dear brother Richard, you are well thought of & I particularly have been blessed by your comments to me & others. You have exuded Christlikeness that most of us fail to aspire to - your very real love for the Lord & the saints is certainly not veiled in what you write. And this I sense in my spirit, that you share your thoughts with those seeking help, not "by (your) might, nor by power, but by God's Spirit" & we are blessed thereby.

So be encouraged & strengthened in your mind & spirit that those who oppose or judge you, do so ignorantly & are in need of extra grace that only the Spirit can give. God has done a mighty work in your life and in very truth, "He which hath begun a good work in you, will perform (perfect & complete) it until the day of Jesus Christ".

And, "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be; when we all see Jesus, we'll sing & shout the victory". Every blessing & encouragement from the Lord.

I couldn't find the one that says our death is recorded.

    Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

    Jeremiah 20:17

Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave,

    Hosea 12:3

For there are some eunuchs, which I were so born from their mother's womb (birth defects) and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men (forced celibacy) and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs (celibate)for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

    Psalms 139:16

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.

    Genesis 27:2

And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:

    Psalms 48:14

For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death

The Jews in Israel wear a prayer shawl when they are praying and interceding. It's like a prayer closet.

I have big faith. The Bible teaches cleanliness in person, foods, etc which are for us to avoid food contamination, maybe sunburn? I'm not Jewish, but I wash everything that's going near my dinner table. (Even radishes)

The word pestilence means almost the same as pandemic. The Bible warns us of their increase in the end of days approaching.

Ecoli is prevalent and so is food poisoning. A toddler needs parents to get them through childhood, amen?

I practice safety and I wear my mask in public places because we are asked to. All stores have signs on the doors. Japanese remove their shoes at the front door. It's a custom we are taught in childhood.

I also wear ball caps, beanies, hoodies and bandanas on bad hair days :D and straw cowboy hats.

Do what you are comfortable with. Our dress doesn't demonstrate our beliefs or the message we carry within us.

They will know us by the LOVE we have for the brethren or sisthren. Cranky people give me opportunities to practice patience, tolerance, kindness and the Jesus kind of Love.

The disciples were from various walks of life: fisherman, farmers, tax collector, scribe, Carpenters son. I'm thinking they didn't have backpacks for extra clothes?
