Thank you so much for these wonderful comments and yes fear can literally destroy all of those things. And it has destroyed many areas of my life. But God shall use all of the bad and turn it for the goodness of his will to be made manifest in our lives. God is such an overcomer he is such a victor and a winner. That means that negative voices in the mind though it sounds like the internal voice in your mind what the reality is that it is not at all that voice. Your voice that speaks negatively to you in your mind is not your voice! It is the demonic! They are deaf dumb blind and mute, however, your earthen vessel the body is carrying the demonic if we allow it in. As if you resist the devil he will flee from you and you can still do that. Yet when you now can separate yourself which is a spirit of power love and of sound mind made in the image and in the likeness of God and you begin to see the truth made manifest within your existence that your spirit is just as powerful as the God who created the universe because it is him. He did breath life into us and when he did that he gave our lifeless physical body the ability to make the heart beat, the blood flow through the veins, the brain to think the eyes to see the ears to hear the vocals to create sound. His spirit is what I AM. It is what YOU ARE all of us are the "I AM THAT I AM" that the God of the bible is. that is really profound and yet it is simple to grasp because God is so good

Go back to The Garden of Eden. To all the beasts of the field were attributes given to survive. Some have speed, some have stealth, some wings to leave the ground, some claws and others teeth to break bone. And yet Man who has none of these attributes was given the Authority to Rule over all of The Garden. This is because the strength of man is in the refuge of Christ. Christ made all and He is our refuge for power, strength and authority. But remember, the Kingdom Of God is in humility, servitude and mercy. So the smallest good deed of sharing is power, strength and authority given to us from Christ for His Love of us to be with Him in The Kingdom of God. Amen!

Chris you do greatly err there is only 1 baptism of PROMISE which is the baptism of the H.G. not water baptism, Jesus , knew that ALL of his disciples had been water baptised but he warns them if I wash ( baptism of the H.G. ) THEE NOT YOU WILL HAVE NO PART WITH ME which speaks volumes of a greater baptism of his blood and they had all been water baptised see the need for the blood ABSOLUTLY nothin trumps the blood or can be compared to his Blood. Thats y the Lord was so upset with Peter he was impling that water baptism cd remit sins a slap in the face of God and the lamb of God impling what GOD HAS MADE CLEAN WAS BY THE BLOOD NOT WATER. LEST jESUS SHED HIS BLOOD IN VAIN. Luke 24 : 49 is not about water baptism but the baptisn of Promise behold i send the Promise of my father upon you but tarry in the city of jerusalem till ye be endued from on high Which was baptism of the H.G. 3 Times in the N.T. ITS RECORDED John baptised you with water but I will baptise you with the H.G. AND FIRE which is the baptism of PROMISE water baptism was neva the baptism of Promise . Chris even in the O.T. without the shedding of blood there was no remisison of sins thats y the Lord was so upset with Peter he was impling that the blood of our lord was insufficient and that water baptism cd remit sins making the blood of no effect as Paul also warns about saying that God sent me not to baptise but to preach the Gospel the Word the H.G fell on them that heard the Word th gospel .Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel resulting in the giving of the H.G. not water baptism as water does not remit sins. lest our Lord shed his blood in vain and the cross was just foolishness . I know that there were a few that still practiced water baptism . But we must remember what Jesus said IF I WASH THEE NOT ( TH PROMISE )YOU WILL HAVE NO PART WITH ME he told this to his disciples that had been water baptised i.e Unless WE ARE WASHED BY HIS BLOOD HE WILL HAVE NO PART WITH US THUS SAITH OUR LORD .

We are not told why "God had respect unto Abel & his offering". It is generally assumed that Abel's offering came from the "firstlings of his flock" indicating a blood sacrifice & that Abel came with a humble responsive heart before God. However, Cain came with neither. But these can only be our guesses since blood sacrifice was not known at that time, but understood to be so, as it was the proper representation & substitute for human life.

If you lived at that time, or at least as one of the Israelites, then you would have to provide a pure animal as sacrifice for your sins - this wasn't an option - it was a life for a life (Leviticus chapter 1). But thanks be to God, He sent forth His Own Lamb to be our Sacrifice, who was the only One Who could be the one & only offering for sin. Any sacrifice offered after Christ's death, could only show disregard & disobedience to God's Love & Mercy to us.

As well, the animals that were sacrificed were not discarded - their remaining flesh became food for the Levitical priesthood.

28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Comment: It is the believers that will be like the angels of God in heaven.

That's a big deal to process. A lot of people in past days have been fixated on A False Doctrine being taught that Eve had sex with satan. See how easily false prophets put out false doctrines like a new brand of sneakers? Stay focused. The Bible warns us that this will be a huge problem in the final days: being led away; wandering off.

Heaven is going to be fun. Stop thinking carnal. We're supposed to be crucifying our own flesh, daily.

Better to marry than burn with lust.

    (Advice) marry a Christian.

Extreme fixation on angels and human sex organs could be cured by spending an hour praying in the Prayer Request Room. With people who have real problems and need someone who knows how to pray with a little mercy and grace.

Jesus didn't think of it as a waste of time. He's at the right hand of God right now praying for all saints. (US)

  • Bolded you NAMES Explanation of HELL on 1 Corinthians 16 - 5 years ago
Some believe that while Jesus' body was in the tomb, His spirit was in hell.Scripture doesn't support that position when it is taken in context and we look at the meaning of the word "hell." In the Old Testament, the place of the dead or the place of departed souls was called "SHEOL." It was to this place that all souls of the dead went to await resurrection.

In the New Testament, we find the story of Lazarus and the rich man who both died and went to Hades ( Luke 16:19-31). The KJV translates the Greek word "hades" as hell but most other translations use the Greek word. HADES had two separated parts: Those who died in faith believing in God's promise waited for the resurrection in Abraham's Bosom. Those who died spiritually separated from God wait in torment for the resurrection unto death, eternal separation from God. The rich man was on the torment side and Lazarus was in ABRAHAMS BOSOM which was called "PARADISE" by the LORD Jesus Christ himself when He addressed the thief who found faith the day Jesus was crucified ( Luke 23:42-43)

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" ( 2 Peter 2:4). The word translated "HELL" here is not the Greek word "HADES" but is the Greek word "TARTARUS" meaning ABYSS or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the PLACE OF TORMENT and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).

Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things" ( Eph 4:8-10). Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the "lower parts" then refers to Jesus mission of declaring Victory! M.

Ham saw his father, laughed, and told his other brothers. The two took a blanket and covered their fathers modesty without seeing anything.

God chose to punish the son who looked, laughed and gossiped. He hates gossip and Backbiting.

Why are you taking issue with God in the first place? Who made you judge?

It is with righteous judgment we are allowed. But Gods judgments are final, He cannot even look on sin. That's why we all need a Savior.

Be careful when you begin criticizing God the same way people on Twitter discuss, trash others characters and publish it to the world. Doesn't that sorta sound like what Ham did to his Dad?

The end of the Book of Revelation....backbiters will not go to heaven.

Criticism and ridicule are not fruits of The Holy Spirit.

I don't understand while God had respect to Abels offering and not Cains. I was raised on the farm and we would not offer our cow or our pigs for a offering. But we had vegetables. Unless Cain offered rotten vegs. Why kill innocent animals? We got milk from our cow also.

If we look at this account with our 'present-day eyes', then yes, Noah sinned by getting drunk & should have been punished for being so, along with son Ham.

But was it a punishable 'sin' in those days & in that situation Noah was in? Today, we say that drunkenness is sin because of alcohol's effect on the mind likely resulting in sinful action. So we are warned to stay away from alcohol, or else maybe to take some for "our stomach's sake" ( 1 Timothy 5:3), and that too, just a little wine.

Enter Noah: he was a farmer growing a fruitful vineyard & after juicing his grapes, fermenting them for an extra kick, he wanted to sample some of his hard work. He drank a little more than he should have, started to feel a tad warm, shed off some clothing to cool off in his tent & son Ham happens to walk by & lingers at his door. We're not told whether Noah's inebriation led him to do anything wrong or even have sinful thoughts - just that he drank his wine to the point of being drunk & was uncovered. Without trying to make excuses for Noah, I don't see anything amiss from what we are given to read - he drank too much & fell asleep. But you might be seeing something more in this account.
  • Chris - In Reply on Exodus 19 - 5 years ago
This is too large a subject to properly deal with here, but basically, when God rested on the seventh day from His Work of Creation ( Genesis 2:2,3), it was done from counting off six days: in other words, since no days of the week are seen here, therefore no one can determine which days was the day of rest. Then when He commanded this Day of Rest (Sabbath) in Exodus 20:10 for his people Israel to observe, again, there wasn't a stipulation of it being a particular day. The institution of the Sabbath was a sign of sanctification (or, separation) of Israel to God, elected by God out of a world all around them that was given to idolatry & wickedness. ( Exodus 31:13,14).

In Exodus chapter 16, we read of God's provision of food to Israel after they left Egypt, by supplying them with quails & manna each day. They had to collect their food every day for six days but on the sixth day, they had to collect the manna for an extra day, as it was their day of rest (Sabbath). If they forgot to do this, they would have to fast.

From then on, Israel had maintained this day count: working (or, collecting food) for six days & resting on the seventh. The Jewish Sabbaths, Festivals, etc. are now calculated on a Lunar Calendar (based on the Moon cycles/phases) as opposed to our Solar Calendar (based on the Sun). As both Calendars are not strictly accurate (if reckoning the exact days), they have to include extra days or in the case of Judaism, adjust their festival dates to suit. But the Sabbath has to be strictly maintained as the seventh day of rest from their labours.

Re: Hell. In the Bible the words used for Hell can be applied to both grave & a place of torment. In Genesis 37:35 we see the word 'Sheol' used. In Luke 16:23, Hades is used. Both words can be depicted as Hell, but its application calls for one being a grave & the other, a place of torment. As also with 'Gehenna': it may have had its roots in the Valley of Hinnom where the atrocities of human burning took place, but in Scripture ( Matthew 5:22, Luke 12:5) & references in Revelation 19,20 clearly speaks of a place other than that near Jerusalem where eternal torment of those judged unworthy to partake of God's Kingdom. I've only given a few Scriptures on this for want of space.

And yes, Jesus was in the grave (sepulchre, 'mnemeion') for three days before appearing to Mary. Blessings.

Thank you Al for your comments. I do understand what you're saying here & there are subjects in the Bible that are not given full treatment as we would like - maybe for a reason. In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Paul prayed for the believers, "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ". For some reason, Paul thought to include their complete being in his prayer ("spirit, soul & body") & clearly of the three, the body is what is apparent to us & others, & Jesus also expressed in Matthew 10:28, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell". Now these Scriptures don't show the passage of the spirit after death, but to show that man does have a soul & spirit & the body is the visible vessel in which these abide.

1 Cor 15:50 speaks of the impossibility of man in his mortal body to enter Heaven. But when that body is changed from being in a corrupt state to an incorrupt state, then it will be outfitted for Heaven. Verses 52, 53 show that that which is corruptible will be raised incorruptible, for corruption must put on incorruption & mortal put on immortality. If the word "sleep", a euphemism for 'death', is applied to a body devoid of soul & spirit (i.e. the soul disappears altogether & the spirit (breath) returns to God) then what is the purpose for the resurrection of a body from the grave that is devoid of further life? But if God gives it life, where does it come from? Is this life from the grave of a different personality to the former?

I wrote on that last night. Check the room history pages near the bottom.

I would keep to the New Testament for Jesus's teachings about the Jews. Read Paul's books.

Jesus ratified the NEW Covenant with his own sinless Blood for all people.

New Covenant, improved benefits. Some prophesies concerning the Jews are still being worked out: not yet fulfilled. By reading Jewish news, you can get a sense of how the prophesies are advancing to completion.

Since the entire Bible is a story about Jesus: we ought to study the 2 Covenants (Testaments) in order and separately; as they are recorded.

On November 13, 700 Club aired what Joe Biden intends to do concerning Israel and the Palestinian states/countries. You and everybody should go on YouTube and watch that show.

He plans to utterly reverse or destroy everything President Trump accomplished in establishing peace.

We are awaiting the announcement of a 7 year Peace Treaty.

The Catching Away of the Church is timed around then. Only Father God knows the exact moment.

When the Peace Treaty is in force the Antichrist will soon be revealed.

So today I was thinking about politics and prophesy.

If Biden is made President; Kamala is 2nd in Command. Nancy Pelosi is 3rd in Command. If 1 and 2 were killed, Nancy would be President. I'm thinking that a former president would become her vice-President. Who said on network news camera: he was only sorry he couldn't have a 3rd shot at President. Wild thought, huh?

Our future is sitting on quick sand right now. We never think about prophesy (the Bible), and politics

    Advancing side by side.

My advice is get you and your loved ones born again. Because when that Peace Treaty turns up in the news... it's wrapping up time. I just want everyone to be ready to go with Jesus.

When you consider these matters and add to it: that Biden intends to throw our doors open to China (who sells us swine flu infected meat) AND other countries, it's looking g

How do you discern truth from a lie? Have you prayed to God and asked if what you said about Eve and satan is true? Because it's not in the Bible and if it's not there, where else would it come from? Definitely doesn't come from God, but since satan is the father of lies and spreads falsehoods regularly, how can you be 100% sure you haven't been deceived yourself?
