"Why else would God multiple her sorrow and conception?/Multiplied conception means the woman had twins, Cain was the son of the serpent, and Abel the son of Adam." You write.

Read the verses. "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord./And she again bare his brother Abel." (4:-1-2) 'Again' does not mean twins. Private interpretation is from carnal wisdom.("For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost"-2 Pe.1:20-21) God shall not against his principle.

Read Ge.1:12 'Whose seed is in itself' Also what Jesus spoke on the subject. A good tree cannot produce both as you seem to subject. Does a fountain produce bitter and sweet water simultaneously?

I refuse to be drawn in any argument, and with friendly greetings,

2 Sa.11:1-9 Sin Lies at the door

"But David tarried still at Jerusalem (v.1)."

David tarrying in Jerusalem was in the fitness of things where a mighty man of warrior like Joab knew his business and he relied on his expertise. So the king sent him,"and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah'.

Jerusalem is a geographical name and it had nothing in itself to protect David from sinning. What defiles a man comes from his heart. This being the case Jerusalem is a name doubling for any other for instance Egypt, Sodom or Babylon (Re.11:8). On the other hand his heart remained the most vulnerable and having time out from an overload of work and in between awaiting reports from the battle front he had more chances of slipping up in his daily devotion. The heart is like a city, "Except theLordkeep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain(Ps.127:1)" and it applies to our hearts as well.

In this context this short dialogue between God and Cain shall help us understand that heart is where any meaningful association between God and man could be set up. Cain and his younger brother offered sacrifices, and God counseled of sin lying at the door.(Ge.4:3-7).

King David let himself go astray from his sensory inputs."And from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon./And David sent and enquired after the woman(vv.3-4) He let his eyes deceive him.

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?/Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.3Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts./ Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God(Jas,4:1-4)."

    Ge.4:13-17 "A vagabond"

The curse that now God administers upon Cain is not anything new. Because of disobedience God had pronounced it before Adam, "Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life." Adam's lot was to return to dust,"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."(3:17-19) "Cursed is the ground for thy sake" was impersonal, setting kingdoms of the world to his act of disobedience. Eden held nothing remotely connecting with the disobedient. 'What concord has light with darkness?'. For this reason His holiness would not allow Adam remain in the Garden.

In acting out his jealousy on his younger brother he showed himself as the hatchet man for Satan. In the world of the body he did away with the righteousness so he served as a sign. He became the servant to sin. "And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever."( John 8:35). Consequently the man who shall redeem the earth of his guilt must have to begin from the world of the Spirit. It explains the logos aspect of the Son.

Cain was a sign for the wicked one. The mark that God set on him was only good for habitations where shadows created more headlines, and genteel folks either thrown under the bus or cast aside were 'muppets.' Alternate reality made them corporate czars and in no time they could also end up as convicted felon. Land of Nod is where playing stocks gave men a chance to succeed and also lose the shirts off their back. God let Cain thrive and take chances as every vagabond heart who chafed at laws. While tempting Jesus Satan showed the glories of his kingdom which Jesus would not take. He came to the earth as light of the world. Satan set up eternal habitations for the dead, and the nightlife in cities, their speakeasies are run by the dead. Jesus did not let him.

Cain was of that wicked one, Cain was the son of the serpent which was Satan.

( Gen 3:3) .."neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die" The word (touch) is #5060; it means to lie with a woman.

( Gen 3:13) "And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent (beguiled) me; and I did eat". The word (beguiled) is #5377; it means morally to seduce.

( Gen 3:14-15) v15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and (between) ((thy seed)) and ((her seed))"...

The word (seed) is #2233; it means carnally, child, to disseminate, bear, conceive seed.

God said He would put enmity between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman.

( Gen 3:16) "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiple thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children"...

Why else would God multiple her sorrow and conception?

Multiplied conception means the woman had twins, Cain was the son of the serpent, and Abel the son of Adam.

Thats why John said in ( 1 Jn 3:12) "Not as Cain, who was ((of that wicked one)) and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous". Cain was of the seed of that wicked one!

( Jn 8:43-44) v44 "Ye are ((of your father the devil)), and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it".

Many don't want to see, or believe this is true, but the Word of God will speak for itself if we get our own interpretation, or the things we have been taught by other men out of the way. Truth matters.

    Blessings.

Was raised up in the ways of the LORD since far back as I can remember. Was in church 6 days out of the week until I graduated elementary and went to public school. Church on Wednesday and twice on Sunday, Tuesday was Boys and Girls Club. Monday to Friday I attended school at the Christian Academy (at the Church). Time went on, it was Friday Night Youth Services in place of Boys and Girls club. So I thank God and give Him the Glory that I was raised up according to the Word. My Parents got saved, took us all to Church. When I was 10, one day out of nowhere I had the desire to play the Bass Guitar. After nine months of practicing Guitar and Bass Guitar, I was able to praise Him with an instrument during service. Traveled with our Pastor during the summer, he would minister the word, and we in music and song. As of right now My sister and I are still keeping on, serving the LORD. Striving, daily keeping away from the Sin Business. Glory to God on Earth as it is in Heaven. No man goes to the Father except through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. There are three (literal:1,2,3-Father, Son, Holy Spirit.............They are One (Figurative: One in unity by agreeing, They are God, They were there at the beginning, etc.).

God Bless You all, and strive on.

    Dear Ronald

How would you explain away these Scriptures?

    John 8:34 1John 3:6-10 Gal 5:9 Rom 6:1,2,6,14,15,16,18,22 Rom 8:2 Hebrews 10:10,14,17,18,26,29,39

there's much more I could bring here in opposition of your thesis of continuing in unbelief & sin for life term,

by the Grace of God I shall.

    Matt 3:11,12

not John's, but of Christ spoken of in Rom 6, being dead unto sin,,,which is being born again of the Incorruptible Seed, were one becomes a new creature, old things are pass away "sinful nature has been crucified on the cross of self denial" we having awaken unto Righteousness, all things become new & we sin not because His Seed remains within us. for those Rom 8:14 the Spirit of God will never, never lead us into sin, thus opening more fully the Law of the Spirit of Life of Christ Jesus, therefore we abide in Him & sin not, for abiding in this law sets us free from the law of sin & death.

1Peter 1:9 here & now, Remember this perfection can be added to as we grow in Grace, as Paul declares in Philippians.

According to your own statement & others like minded, you're not abiding in Him, for you are continuing to commit sin as a way of life, Which Holy Spirit says in Romans that now your under Grace, God forbid, confirming by the Spirit of the Scriptures of Truth that one is not born again, neither knows Him.

Ronald,,,,Friend---As I read your posts my heart went out to you, meaning I felt your sincerity, honesty & godly desires towards God, this is not in question here, but the knowledge you have is not the true knowledge of God, I'm speaking from my past experience,

I like you was sincere, etc, but I was sincerely wrong, oh how I struggled, the veil always separated me from my Beloved, there was no pure unity of the faith & oneness that Christ prayed for, my conscience bearing witness against me, no matter how I cried, repented, fasted, prayed or studies the letter, & walk accordingly, yet, the veil was still hung between us & why? 2Cor 3:6 I remember it quiet well, a yoyo of an experience.

1 Cor 15:34,45 true knowledge is given by the true Grace of God who appears bringing salvation to all mankind.

Ronald, have you ever had an unction that cross your own will, telling you not to do or say something & show you what to do or to say? & if not heeded to, condemn you for it? Or maybe you were in a tryst state, & say or did something & later Holy Spirit/ Grace convicted you of wrong? This is the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, Grace/Light/Anointing we have received & appears within us, & if minded & exercised is the daily Cross & is not a lie, abide in Him & in the steadfast confidence continual exercising of it, will eventually set us free from the law of sin & death. Received by Luke 10:42 Psalms 130:5"the word of His Grace, who words are Spirit & Life" Psalms 145:12-18 Psalms 123:2 Psalms 62:5 meaning silencing all thoughts & imaginations & in stillness of soul, wait. Psalms 46:10 and He will appear Hebrews 9:28 . Believing that it is He appearing to you is faith, hearing the Word of God in the heart, that Paul preached & this faith purifies the heart & gives victory over the world.

2Cor 3:16-18 this stillness & waiting upon the Lord is turning to Him, who is Spirit, whom takes the veil away & gives us knowledge of Himself, 2Cor 4:6,7 setting us free from the bondage of sin, we know the Truth & the Truth set us free & transforms us into His Image. Light begets light, in whom there is no darkness at all.

causing you Philippians 2:13 Hebrews 13:21 "obviously this is not sinning".

    Grace be to you

    Ge.4:18 "The Land of Nod"

"And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden." (v.18)

God asked Cain a direct question , "Where is Abel thy brother?" God as a Spirit was not asking a silly question with regards to his brother but rather where had he despatched his soul by doing violence to his body. Cain knew what he meant. Cain truthfully replied, "I know not." The anger and violence that Cain meted out to his sibling came from and set him in context of a land, which in the world of the flesh casts a certain light and gives every man a certain value.

The light from the sun moon and the stars provides light so day and night a man can distinguish. But is he wise for all that? Cain had no clue where he had sent Abel. Nicodemus represents his knowledge when he quizzed Jesus. John 3:10-13) The heavenly things and the earthly things denote two worlds of the Spirit and of flesh.

God allowed Moses to see the glory God which the Spirit qualifies as the back parts."and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by./And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."(Ex.33:22-23) Glory of God which one may see from the world of the body is of quality different than one may see through the light which is his Son, the true Light. (Ps.36:9). So whosoever abiding in Christ Jesus sees light as God has willed. "Be ye holy for I am holy" is doable for those who trust in him. They trust in his grace, Abel offered a better offering which pleased God. "Without faith it is impossible to please God". God formed all hearts alike, Abel pleased God by following truth. (2 Cor.4:6) This knowledge is defined as the presence of God, it is word based and it is doable.

Everything else is the land of shadows and the land of Nod is a label to denote where alternate reality is the norm.

    Ge.4:14 "The Face"

"Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth."

With one man's disobedience sin entered into the world, and also death. But heart of man fashioned by God and truth in its spiritual space gave him still bearings about, and God's gift,- his breath making him knowable and accessible for any one in need, is irrevocable. The Holy Spirit gives it a concrete imagery, that of a door. The face of God in short signifies his love and the door that anyone may open by faith signifies heart of man. Abel opened his door to access what was pleasing in His sight. It was to this God referred, "If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."(4:9) Cain's subsequent actions showed divine counsel was wasted on him. There were two worlds and he would not open the door seeking grace from the world of the Spirit.

His rational mind would have convinced him without the body of Abel God had nothing to pin him on. But blood of Abel wanted God avenge his death. Everything which man does good or evil shall come up before God. Christ is in whom the fullness of God dwells. The Spirits lays down the Law of Gradation, which we have from the words of Jesus,"All these things shall come upon this generation."(Matt.23:35-36)This generation is Person specific. Every death of a child of God is insult to the holiness of God who has adopted into the fellowship of God with Man. His death and resurrection is a sign and there shall be a day of judgment.

. But to find peace with God one only need open one door and abide therein. "I am the way, the truth, and life."
  • Bennymkje - 1 year ago
    Ge.4:7 "The Door"

"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.(v.7)

The Lord fashioned all hearts alike so how come Cain responded to please God was different from that of Abel? Sin made all the difference. Sin created a smokescreen so man is easier handled by the conjuror's art, smoke and mirrors which man looks at believes in a lie of course.

God from whom comes all the good gifts now onwards becomes a 'bogy' to Adam and man and woman would rather hide as made His presence 'in the cool of day'. So their fall signified there were barriers put up between them and their God. This reality was reflected in their hearts as well.

Cain presented fruit of the field, which tells us the world of the flesh weighed uppermost in his calculation. Abel on the other hand laid much in store with the world of the Spirit. All that was knowable of God was in the heart of Cain and Abel alike. God tests their works as the Psalm quote tells us.(Ps.33:15)

God's calling and gifts are irrevocable. Their hearts presented a level playing field a face as the Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters, which is between heaven and the earth.God forbade them access to this kingdom without getting rid of sin that put up barriers between the two. It is to which God referred." If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?" Peace with God was impossible with this crouching sin at the door. Cain had certainly a problem. It was obvious that he viewed the worlds that his heart circumscribed differently than his brother who was righteous as the Spirit annotates. Cain viewed according to the carnal wisdom taught by Satan.. St John writes of Cain,' who was of that wicked one,'( 1 John 3:12, 8) and contrasts his brother as righteous.

Luke 10:38-42 Mary chose the better part. Abel did better because he trusted in the promises of God.

    Ge.4:3-7 "Either Or"

God laid before Adam a choice, the same He does now in an altered form. He asks Cain thus: "If thou doest well, shall thou not be accepted?(v.7)

Now when God made Adam a living soul He breathed life into him quality of which is different fromthat of an amoeb and it responds to pleasure and avoid pain. Life abundant is different. When Moses would lay before Israel he declares the only way one might choose life, - which is abundant life, the very quality that comes from wisdom which is of God. "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:"(De.30:19) When God breathed into the nostrils he did just that so that 'both thou and thy seed may live'. Moses being man of God would not add anything to what is the truth. God set the truth in Adam for the sake of Cain and Abel and for the holy family adopted in his own Son. God blessed man saying. "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it."(1:28-29)

Serpent who beguiled Eve was not speaking in his own best interest but for Satan the father of lies. Ever since it is the carnal wisdom which as James rightly says is devilish and it is what is ruling in our times.(Jas.3:15)

Adam realized his eyes were opened while his eye of faith was shut, is more likely.

How this could have affected the siblings? Cain would present fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. He would have based the sweat and toil as quality that God would appreciate, while Abel would please him by offerings 'of firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.' Cain was pleased to base his physical labor in his choice while Abel chose what wisdom of his spirit prompted him.We read in v.5 "But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell."How did Abel settle upon a burnt offering? He relied on wisdom from heaven instead.

    Ge.4:3-4 Cain and Abel

Fall of man is in not being able to choose well, but letting the truth under the bushel so to speak. By creating contextual or transactional truth it is liking putting the light of your life under a bushel. Many who would improve truth are killing it. Thus half truth is a lie. This no-man's land is all too familiar in our time. Alternate reality is called. You heard it and know it is an outright lie, right? But you let that pass because you know you shall soon use one of these counterfeit coins. Live and let live. There is honor among thieves so duds also pass hands. Call it free speech or whatever. This is the spirit of the times.

Following his father's example Can would have known the simple truth which St Paul teaches us, "Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:/ And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:/ But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body."(1 Co.15:36-38) On the other hand Abel would choose a course that would intimate redemption came from shedding of blood. It is probable that he was well aware of the coats of skins with which God clothed his parents. Certainly as a living soul he knew that God was knowable and he certainly would have referred truth in his inward parts. As St Paul says, "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them."(Ro.1:19-20)

    Ge.4:1-4

    Adam knew Eve, his wife

Adam knew his wife. Is it not what marriage for? It is not as simple as it seems on paper. Marriage is also a transaction between two parties. Disobeying God brought sin into the world.Sin lying at the door created a no man's land where knowing good and evil without the truth ripens into a bitter fruit. A proof to which is the familiar eleventh commandment. "Thou shalt not be found out" It is how Satan has set the line of least resistance before man. Peer pressure is yet another and envy as we shall see from the manner the career of Abel and Cain would show.

Man and woman were like gods in a manner of speaking but without the glory of God as their covering they were adrift from the wisdom, which came from heaven. So their carnal knowledge spelled a certain loss. "And knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." By sin they came short of the fount of godly gifts they could freely access.. Adam as a representational figure came short of the glory of God. "The Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken."(3:23)

" For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Ro.3:23-NKJV). Adam was conscious of his nakedness and without the glory of God his knowledge was not adequate to safeguard the future prospects of his two sons. His carnal knowledge ever since would leave nothing but misery and union of man and woman up against mounting challenges, not to mention the dysfunctional families. Adam knew Eve and she knew that Cain was a gift from God. But with what would they fill his head? Without glory of God and access to wisdom from heaven he settled for an alternate reality. He took the easy way out by following his father's occupation. Abel instead went on to be the keeper of sheep.

    Ge.3:22-25 "The Way"

"So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

The Holy Spirit began the narrative by 'now' which refers to the characteristic of serpent as created by God. So the fall of man must be seen 'in the present' as against the eternal mind of God where emblem of the slain Lamb or the brazen serpent raised on a pole ( John 3:14), which implied the death of his Son. In order to set the context of his fall the Spirit points to another emblem, which is also about the Son. I am the way, the truth and life." Jesus declared, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ( John 14:6) So Salvation plan as determined by the Lord God was neither from the east west south or north but was Person specific. This tree of life symbolized the prince of Life.

The cherubim is often represented as fiery beings attendant upon the Lord and jealous for His holiness. The flaming sword which turned every way therefore is to be understood beyond the heaven and earth and the kingdom of God. As mentioned earlier cardinal directions as we know the term have no bearing upon the Lord God As the visible image of the invisible God in him was the fulness of the heights and of the depths.

" For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:/ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence./ For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell."( Col 1:15-19)

    hello Koosees.

Some think that what was said of Peleg has a double meaning, of

    (1) the earth's land mass was all one continent and this mass divided up into the continents we have today over time.

Peleg was born at the time of the Tower of Babel

    (2) the peoples were divided by God and scattered over the different areas of the earth at the time of the Tower of Babel.

I do not think that God miraculously transported groups of people and put them on each of the continents. I think that God caused the people to migrate further from Mesopotamia (Babel particularly) in all directions, confused their language so that they no longer spoke one tongue worldwide, and began to separate the continents so that people groups became more and more distinct and isolated from the original gene pool at Babel. This makes sense. But whether there was a rapid moving of the land masses or slower, can't really tell, and if it was quickly, then people would reach distinction and separation sooner than if the land masses separated slowly.

Because wanted the people to be spread over ALL the earth, I tend to think the movement of the land masses happened quickly as the Bible says that this division happened during the life span of Peleg.

    Ge.1:15 "Enemity"

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

"Enmity between thee and the woman" which owes to the manner the man upset the order God had established. He sinned. It was useless as the creature questioning the creator, "Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?' or 'Your work has no handles'?"(Is.45:9-ESV) St Paul references this in his epistle, "Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honourable use and another for dishonourable use?"(Ro.9:20-21) God set an order so she signified the body the holy family of God formed of the doctrine of God. The man was created in his own image meaning that he stood as the double for his Son. Byletting contextual truth come in between Adam created a no-man's land, a spiritual space nevertheless where truth is like putty and one moment it is transactional truth where we have the rider 'Caveat emptor! or 'all is fair in love and war'. Ways of the world is what man's disobedience created. To this God would address thus,"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."(Ge.4:7)

When is the Coming of the Lord in the clouds, the "rapture" in context?

( Mt 26:64) .. "Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven".

Jesus said He will be ((coming in the clouds)) in context!

( Rev 1:7) "Behold, he ((cometh with clouds)); and every eye shall see him"...

He cometh with clouds in context!

( 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17) v15 "the coming of the Lord".

v16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout"...

v17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them ((in the clouds)), to meet the Lord in the air"...

We meet the Lord in the clouds in context!

( Mt 24:29-31) v29 "Immediately after the tribulation"...

v30 ".."and they shall see the Son of man ((coming in the clouds)) of heaven with power and great glory".

v31 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds"...

The Lord ((coming in the clouds)) in context, Is Immediately after the tribulation!

The return of Jesus riding a white horse in ( Rev 19:11-16) says nothing about coming in the clouds. But v11 does say "he doth judge and make war". So this return is coming (to the earth) not in the clouds. v15 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should (smite the nations): and he shall (rule them with a rod of iron): and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God". This is not the return in the clouds in context.

This should be clear to all who seek the Truth, the return on the white horse ( Rev 19:11-16) and the return ((in the clouds)) in ( Mt 24:29-31) are not even close to being the same event!

Heavenly Father, I ask for the same as RicoUS. That we be Your vessels, bringing light to darkness for all that are in need. That we be fruitful for Your honor and glory. Thank You Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God bless you RicoUS.

I have always been a Christian, but was not living my life for God like I should have been. A couple weeks ago I was scrolling through youtube and found a preacher on there that caught my attention. I watched his program, and the holy spirit filled me like never before. It was like my eyes were suddenly open, and I saw my sin so blatantly before me, and repented, renewing my life to our Lord. For about a week everything was fine, I was working out again, and was feeling energetic and positive, but these last 3 days I can barely get out of bed, and am having headaches and horrible nightmares. I feel that Satan is trying to get his grip on me again. I need prayer to protect me from his advances, and let me blossom in the love of Christ please.

    God bless

My question is it literal or figurative?

Is says earth, most cases referring to the ground we walk on. Did God divide the earth as in the continents or placed them in land already separated (continents) as they are today? Like the world, 5 Hebrew translations, 3 Greek. Earth though all refer to the ground, dirt, soil in all three translations.

1 Chronicles 1:19 - And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

    Genesis 10:25

"And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan."

Genesis 10:32 - These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

Genesis 11:16-19 - And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters. And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

Deuteronomy 32:8 - When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Luke 3:35-36 - Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,

    Acts 17:26 - And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Heavenly Father, I ask that You answer Kosh's plea. Guide Kosh to the right diet for the correct weight for Your child, and for the discipline needed to keep a healthy diet. We come to You through Your son Jesus all for Your honor and glory. God bless you Kosh.
