Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We both agree on the verse above, salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ and is a gift not of ourselves, we cannot earn our salvation. We are also ordained that we should walk in good works.
This is not a discussion on how we are saved it is about whether when we accept Jesus as our savior and are baptized, are we saved forever. Are all our sins ever we do, forgiven at that point? Or can we fall from God's grace and forfeit our salvation? One thought, do we have free will, if so, God being a sovereign God would leave it up to man to choose to accept or reject His word, His offer, and His gift. So, if a man can choose, can he later as a Christian choose to forsake Christ thereby abandoning his salvation and losing the gift of eternal life? Or is it all predestined? If so, why would there be a judgment?
What are God's terms? (Isn't that a contradictory statement? Isn't it to believe in him whom he sent?) That is true. To some that is easy, all they must do is believe, they have their ticket. Someone then asks them do they believe in God and what Jesus did, all they must do is say yes, I believe. Is it just to believe that is contradictory, is this a half-truth, like you will not surely die? Gen. 3:4-5.
If we say when someone walks away or falls back into sin they were never saved to begin with. If we do is that judging? Is there any way for us to know what is in the heart of another man or woman? 1 Cor. 2:11. If we say they were never saved is that just to support a doctrine? I have been studying this is the reason for the delay. I hope I can show my understanding of this long-debated subject.

Part two
What does it mean to believe? What is the evidence that we believe? As Paul said, it is like running a race, when we start this race, we believe we are going to finish, and with God's Spirit we have all the determination and motivation we are not only going to finish this race we are going to win this race.
We are saved! We are being saved! We shall be saved! When we start, are all our sins forgiven, our past, present, and our future sins the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and are baptized? Is our salvation guaranteed and we cannot lose it or fall out of grace regardless?
We are saved. Eph. 2:5 When we accept the gospel and are baptized our sins are blotted out, Isaiah 44:22 Acts 3:19 and we become a child/son/daughter of God, John 1:12 we are justified, made righteous by the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and now we begin a relationship through God's Spirit, and God and Jesus abide in us, 2 John 1:9. This is the start of the race, the beginning of our salvation.
We are being saved. Philippians 1:6 Hearing the Word one believes and is baptized into Christ they are made clean (justification) the work of grace, and the Lord will continue working in us until He returns if we abide in Him John 15:3-5. How does God complete his good work in us? Testing James 1:2-4, chastising Heb. 12:6-7 Our relationship. If we abide in Him, Jesus, and God abides in us. The branches bear the fruit of the vine, the vine produces the fruit not us/branch, sanctification. We are running the race Philippians 2:12
We shall be saved. Redemption and glorification. Our full salvation comes at the end, when Jesus returns. Luke 21:28 "being now justified" We started the race. We are being saved, "being reconciled" we are running the race, 2 Cor. 5:18. We shall be saved at the end of the race. Romans 13:11.

Part three,
Each believer is personally responsible for living in obedience to Christ's commands. 1 Timothy 4:16. Can we come up short, Hebrews 4:1. Some of the natural branches of the house of Israel were broken off for unbelief so the people of the nations who believe and are justified are grafted in. Believers/saved can be cut off if they do not continue in his goodness/grace. Romans 11:15-24.
Much of your post I agree, it is about becoming saved and our relationship with Jesus, and if we continue to abide in Him those scriptures apply. Concerning Pentecost, Peter was pleading that they accept Jesus as their Messiah that was promised, and they killed Him, not to repent from Judaism. Peter and the disciples at this time were still observing the old law. We see years later they were still debating it in Acts 15.
1 Cor. 9:27 If we look at the wording "But I keep under my body and bring it into subjection" it is as if his body is his adversary. It is like he was beating his body whether it is said metaphorical, but to the subduing of the natural appetites of the flesh, a life of self-denial not to succumb to the sins of the flesh. The Greek adokimos translated as castaway, is the same word for reprobate, Romans 1:28 Titus 1:16. I do not think Paul is talking about rewards.
Hebrews 3:12-13 This chapter starts with "Wherefore holy brethern" These are Christians, saved, verse 6 "if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." The writer includes himself "If We". Verses 12 and 13 are to these same people and verse 14 says "For we are made partakers of Christ" Because they are made so they are saved believers in Christ.
1 John 1:7 If is conditional a choice if you walk in the light there is fellowship, if you don't walk in the light, you are outside of the fellowship.
See part four.
Part four,
2 Peter 2:20. They had the knowledge of the Lord and Savior; they were saved and had escaped the pollutions/sins of the world. Can we escape sin outside of Christ? They choose to go back to a life of habitual, intentional, and willful sin. And their punishment will be worse, Luke 12:47-48.
Galatians 6:9 This to me is obedience, It says unless we faint, to me that is to give up, quit, intentionally turn away, we reap life everlasting. Colossians 1:23 "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel". If we continue that is a choice, we must make that is not given that is our obedience.
Jude 1:21 We are to keep ourselves, the Holy Spirit helps us, but this is something we do and if we do, He will keep us from falling. 2 Peter 1:10 If we do, it is not done for us, we have been given but it is up to us to obey and do, if they have forgotten they had to know it to forget it. If We Do!!! we shall never fall. Hebrews 6:13-16 What Abraham did, in his faith, he waited for a long time he endured. He did not faint or grow weary or turn his back to God, the evidence of his faith, just like when he drew back the knife.
This is not about a Christian who is struggling and battling sin regardless of how long they struggle they are still in the race and if they repent and return in the light will be forgiven and in the grace of God. As David said restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, Psalms 51:12. We all are in a battle with our flesh and sin daily. We can lose the joy of salvation and if we come under repentance, we will still be in God's grace but without repentance, we will be cut off.
See part 5.
Part 5
I am referring to the scriptures that warn those who were saved in the faith that intentionally choose, they knowingly live a sinful lifestyle. They call what is wrong right and sin is ok. They justify and condone sin, much of what we see today, people who were saved but now say sin is okay, I will not list things I'm sure you see it too, what used to be condemned is now ok and accepted, Isaiah 5:20. After we are justified if we do not abide in Jesus if we do not live a life of repentance and obedience, we will be outside of the grace of God.
When Jesus died on the cross, He paid for every sin that the human race will ever commit, from Adam's first sin until the last sin that will be committed. Our sins before we were born again were forgiven, 2 Peter 1:9. Our sins are not forgiven before we commit them, now or in the future. We all will sin but we do not become unsaved. If we confess, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us.
Our life we live is We will be forgiven, not we have been forgiven that is why we should not ignore the Spirit's loving work. Hey, don't do that, and if we slip up, we repent for our disobedience. To me that is a life of repentance and obedience, not works for salvation it is the evidence of our faith. A person can stop doing and lose, walk away, or forfeit, their gift of salvation.
1 Timothy 4:1 Some shall depart from the faith, these are Christians, and you have to be a part of it to depart from it. The process of salvation will not be complete until the return of Jesus and we are resurrected and glorified in our immortal bodies.
Thank you, brother, for this discussion may we grow in faith and understanding.
God bless,
RLW
Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the GOSPEL preached, as well as unto THEM, but the word did not profit them, not being mixed with FAITH (of Christ) in them.
The same gospel does not profit most today, they haven't died to SELF, so ONLY Christ reigns in HIS BODY (all; the NEW CREATION).
Most DO NOT BELIEVE:
Ezekiel 36:27 ANd I WILL put my spirit in my body (the NEW CREATION) and CAUSE my (NEW) body to WALK in my statutes and KEEP my judgements (WORDS) and DO THEM.
They read the words, write the words, speak the words, BUT DO NOT BELIEVE the words.
If Christ is CAUSING you to WILL and to DO, then how can one sin.
The sin is UNBELIEF. All other sins is COVERED by his blood.
When HE (the spirit of truth) IS COME (like a thief that can't be seen) HE WILL reprove the world of SIN: of SIN because they don't BELIEVE the WORD.
God BLESS YOU!
My thoughts are like yours. When Adam and Eve tried to cover themselves for their nakedness that evidenced that they had sinned, they may have thought they would be ok before God and each other if their nakedness did not show. But God's plan was to cover them with a blood offering to take away their sin. By killing an animal to cover them with the skin of an animal is an example of how the blood of the perfect "Lamb of God" will come and cover their sin with his righteousness through the shedding of His blood.
I do not know how much Adam and Eve understood about God's plan of salvation because Scripture does not tell us. Yet, I believe that since God still met with them in the Garden, it is safe to say that God explained how their sins will be covered by the Messiah. Perhaps they had full knowledge of the gospel at that time, but saw it as to be fulfilled in the future with the coming of the Holy One sent from God to save them. Perhaps they were told that the shedding of the blood of the animal would serve as a reminder to them of how God covers sin. It does not say that God stopped meeting with Adam even though they were sent out of the Garden. They must have known more than we can know at this time. We may find out in the life to come when we can ask them or ask Jesus.
The Spirit helps us with our infirmities. As with prayers the Spirit helps us according to the will of God (Ro.8:26-27). Perhaps it helps us understand why he chose to be a shepherd. God had set him in context of his Son the Good Shepherd. Nature and nurture also explain. God clothing them with coats of skin was part of the family lore often heard sitting around the hearth. Abel sought to please God with the best while Cain merely offered his share as though he meant,'take it or leave it' attitude.
The internet setting trends is very much part of Satan's repertoire, to make the worldly consume their hours with fashions of the day. I know how my brother first going to the city for a college degree wanted a new wardrobe. My father would have no nonsense with Elvis hairdo or drainpipes. My brother was browbeaten to be a square while everyone was in the swim of things. In my pre-teen period it made me think what fashion made the world follow ever since. My conclusion is what I posted in my post. By trying to pass off as regular do I neglect what I think of my real self?
JESUS left very clear sayng: Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things?- Matthew 12:34. According to the your message you think or imagine to be a preacher of the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD, self-executing, understand? and in your preaching you interpreted 2Thessalonians2:3, saying: >>>> Let no man(YOURSELF; your carnal mind, where SATAN plays) DECEIVE YOU, 2Thessalonians2:4 Who(that man of sin, that man of unbelief) OPPOSESTH(truth and light)and exalts HIMSELF(his carnal mind) above all that is called GOD;of that is worshipped,so that HE sitteth in the TEMPLE OF GOD(the Lord God Almighty and the LAMB are the TEMPLE,not Jerusalem),
showing HIMSELF(by the wisdom of himself)that HE(and all his supposed free will) is GOD.
"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."
Without commitment truth in the inward parts with Eve her heart was a strange continent and it was disengaged so to speak. So the rational way in which the serpent spoke and presented the delectable form and color of fruits inflamed her senses. Without which influencers of our times would not succeed in enriching themselves. Did you notice the instagram look these days? Lately it is sporting a gaunt look and they succeed to con the unwary undergo buccal fat removal. The sunken cheeks shall soon show that of a hideous hag, and when truth hits women, they shall rue that accentuating high cheekbones is pass. This is called ways of the world. Satan presides over the foolish and it works on this premise: 'every man's loss is someone else's gain'. In winning over Eve Satan gained thwarting the Salvation plan of God.
Eve passed on her knowledge of good and evil to her man. They did eat. Since then living in one world of now became the norm. The world of the Spirit for many is non-existent. Glory which was an ornament and a covering for them vanished! Their eyes opened only to know they were naked." What useless knowledge was that?
Without setting the truth like frontlets before your eyes how are you settling what is good or what is evil? Some barbaric countries are willing to hang the youth for matters they as old have not arrived at. Their religion have deceived them just Satan deceived Adam and Eve. They made themselves aprons which was what their knowledge could come up.
Jesus said, 'in me you might have peace'.( John 16:33). How true it is. Look how the man and woman reacted at the voice of the Lord! They were thrown into confusion.
"She took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."
Contextual truth is from Satan since it does not give truth its total sovereignty to the word as He intended. When He sent his Son he defined what he was. "I am the Way, the truth and the life" Instead believing it it opens way for extraneous matters judge truth. We have a couple of examples: Eve saw the fruit of the tree from the POV of Satan and let her senses settle the matter. Compare with Thomas who would not believe unless he saw the nail marks by his own eyes. What did Jesus Christ say," blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."( John 20:29). Adam in his turn let his love for Eve forget himself. He should have asked himself, "What has God said about eating of the fruit?" He simply ate what she gave to him.
Man thus became a servant to sin. Instead of the Law of Spirit he would be judged under the law of sin.
God had made his Will clear to Adam. What the serpent made of 'In the day' and saying thou shalt not die was at odds with the soul and it made the man accountable to God. God allowed to eat of all other fruits freely including from the tree of life. God's commandment, "for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die," would have grave consequences upon the soul of man.
In the same vein the nascent church was given an underhand swipe when Constantine I adopted Christianity as the state religion. It eased the state policy of persecution. Outwardly it spared the body of the Church. Since then are we not assailed by heresies without let?
"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
Here we have the serpent speaking the will of Satan, the father of lies, as his own. This is what you call as contextual truth. You have not seen it working while something else is,- 'thy law is within my heart.'(Ps.40:8). In short he was rejecting that God had blessed him with, 'and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth,'(Ge.1:30)included him as well.
He thus serves as the body for Satan to undermine his own state of being. So he speaks 'truth' which is contextual so it keeps changing, with whoever serves at time or place as the mouthpiece for Satan. It is thus heresies have come to stay. One says city of God and begins reforming all about meddling with princes to serve his own interests, and after he has taken over reins he sets to fire all opposition whether they are branded as witches or as heretics do not matter. It is truth as he frames it. Then comes another claiming 'worker's paradise' and bloodshed and bonfire of whatever he deems as false. Such contextual truth is like playing by the ear so it keeps changing, leading nowhere but it does prove indeed calamitous for the world.
Who was Eve but the bone of man's bones, and flesh of his flesh, in terms the law within her heart made her standing more than an entity. She was called to be the bride for the Son!"I am the Way, the truth and the life"
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made."
Of his fulness every body reveals the glory in varying measure, meaning no two bodies are same. Serpent received his share as any other. When you apply this to the level of the body of Christ the church, we shall understand the significance of the Pauline dictum:"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:/ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"(Ep.4:11-12)
Coming back to His creation God blessed them so the subtlety of the serpent was commendable. It is in this sense Jesus commends his disciples to take note of, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."(Matt.10:16) The serpents are wisdom, wisdom of which was emblematic of the divine blessing.
Fall of man or Corruption did not come from subtlety of the serpent. In paying heed to it another doctrine had got in by stealth. What was need for another when you have the perfect within? "Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?"(Jas.3:11). Doctrine of God was the same as of the Son. He declared, "I do always those things that please him"( John 8:29). This is what the Spirit means by the Psalm quote mentioned above. "The law was within my heart."
This same corruption we find where the heart is not established by grace; instead man's treasure conceals contraband goods,- riches of mammon. Serving mammon is evil communication which corrupts good manners. It is thus prosperity theology has corrupted great many, an evil.
Jump to (now) a month later.. I was heading to Library & the road was closed so, in taking detour, went to see the person dream was about. To make a longer story short.. He flat lined & when they revived him he had to have emergency heart surgery. Not how I wanted to find a roof over my head yet till he heals enough & gets back on narrow road, I just that & truck to drive till my car's Utah legal & my own place. God is good.!!
"Coming short of the glory"
God blessed man on the sixth day (Ge.1:28-30). The everlasting covenant has been signed and sealed between God and Man,the Spirit annotates the abstract "and, behold, it was very good"-1:31). Those who still would not enter theerin and be part of the day sanctified is marked by 666. He is, to all intent and purpose, the son of perdition.
We have been studying in these two chapters how God placed Adam in the Garden planted by Him.
He did not need anyone telling him with regards to the commandment.
Now this advise from the serpent,"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die."(v.4)
Evil communication corrupts good manners and it is what happening with Eve. As flesh and boned drawn from the man she was in the full know being a living soul herself. What he was, she was in her own right as the Bride. "At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."( John 14:20) This is what the Spirit referred " and they shall be one flesh."
In going along with his gratuitous remark she looks at the forbidden fruit and she sees it as he wanted her to see. In order to guard aginst ii the Spirit gives us this recipe. "For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light."(Ps.36:9)
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
I have read of some today who think as Oseas does, and that is very disturbing. Many of his posts are a bit off, but this one concerning God revealed in Scriptures is very unbiblical.
I do think of when Jesus called Himself "I Am" when He said "before Abraham was, I Am. He would have said the Hebrew name spoken to Moses here and the chief priests wished to stone him for blasphemy for calling Himself God. ( John 8:58)
Here Jesus is saying that He is YHWH, the only true God. so, as for me, I choose to believe Jesus, not Oseas or anyone else who says that the God of the OT Jews was evil or the devil.
I guess, having a forum such as this will introduce us to some very crazy doctrines and some wicked ones at that.
criptures.
( 2 Tim 3:16) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness". ALL ((TRUE)) scripture is given by Inspiration of God. Inspiration is #2315; it means divinely breathed in. All True scripture is God breathed.
The KJB says in ( Jn 7:8) "Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up ((yet)) unto this feast; for my time is not full come".
In the KJB Jesus said "I go not up yet"
The Nasb bible says "I am not going up to this feast".
The Niv bible says "I am not going up to this festival".
The Nlt bible says "I'm not going to this festival".
The Esv bible says "I am not going up to this feast".
The Gnt bible says "I am not going to this festival".
In all these versions in v10 Jesus goes to the feast.
All modern version bibles say the same thing, Jesus said "I am not going" Then In v10 Jesus went to the feast!
All modern version bibles have (changed the words) and are saying Jesus lied!! ( Jer 23:36) The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to turn about or over, by implying (to change), pervert. They change or pervert the words of the living God and they show Jesus to be a liar!
Would that be God breathed?
Or would that be ( 1 Tim 4:1) .."doctrines of devils"?
( 2 Tim 3:16) Would saying Jesus is a liar be "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"?
( Mt 4:4) .. "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by (every word) that proceedeth out of the mouth of God".
EVERY WORD! (KJB Jn 7:8) "I go not up (yet)" EVERY WORD!
The words of the LORD are pure words ( Ps 12:6-7) v7 preserved for ever.
( Proverbs 30:5-6) v5 "(Every word) of God is pure" v6 "Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar".
The KJB is the scripture that's given by Inspiration of God, the pure words preserved from this generation for ever.
I think we all feel that way from time to time but I think it's just as important to note the people that do give a care that our present in your life.
Sometimes it's easy to overlook the ones that care about you most especially when you're feeling like it's all stacked against you and feeling alone, lonely. Don't forget the ones who are there no matter what. The ones who stick by you no matter what.
