Greg, that expression essentially refers to the Sodomites, or as we would say, homosexuals.

Richard, with all due respect to your understanding of Scripture, but I would direct you to Luke 16:19-31, and specifically, verse 23: "And in hell (Gk. Hades) he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom." And verse 28: "For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment."

And Mark 9:43,44: "And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell (Gk. geennan, or Gehenna), into the fire that never shall be quenched, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."

This is the sad state of all those who reject Christ & His Gospel - eternal torment awaits them & for this cause the Gospel has to be preached so that men may know the Truth & flee the torment to come. Let's not get trapped in the JW teaching of only death awaiting the sinner - if only ultimately death with little or no suffering, then why flee to the One Who gave His Life to save us from God's Wrath & Judgement. As I ask this to the JWs who visit me (or, used to visit), what then is your Gospel? Is it only to be able to be a part of God's Kingdom or perish into the dust if we reject the Gospel? There's nothing to flee from. If that was the choice given to me, I doubt if I would be moved to convert - yes, it would be lovely to experience eternal life with the Lord, but if it meant that the other option was just to disappear into the earth, then that's not much reason to change my lifestyle. Many believe that now: that there's no God & nothing after the grave. I came to the Lord because of the Spirit's Work of conviction in my heart, of Who God is & that His Judgements against the sinner are certain & that there is eternal suffering for those who reject His offer. It would be lovely to think that a sinner can eventually find freedom from torment but for Revelation 21:8.

    Luke chapter 3

Here we see John the Baptist instructing the people how to repent .

It's far more than saying we are wrong or sorry , it involves works of repentance.

You rarely will hear this kind of repentance preached .

That's what John meant by prepare the way of the Lord . get you life in order .

Jesus said except you repent you will all like wise perish !

John was really judgemental on the self righteous people of that time , they lacked the fruit of repentance, etc

John also said " no man can receive anything except God give it " that puts us at Gods mercy and to obey God and Ask God in faith .

In the Old Testament God said , I will show my salvation to the one that orders their conversion aright .

    (Way they walk )

Yes their is more that could be said , but study John the Baptist if you want to learn repentance.

The first death is when you die on this earth. There is no second death if you are saved. If you are a sinner the second death is the lake of fire.

Repenting from your sins and accepting Jesus as your savour is the first step step. Living for Him from now on is your duty to Him. It don't mean we will not mess up now and then. When you do, confess that sin and try, try again.

read about "the Spiritual Man" by Watchman Nee: its weighty, but thoroughly explains the inner workings of the flesh, our souls and the spirit (which is made alive) upon being born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead is made up of 3 distinct persons. We are born of flesh and soul. When we receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, our spirits are made alive to God.

The Holy Spirit tells us about Jesus. JN chapters 16-17

That's why it's paramount to build up our inner most selves on reading the Bible. Why not begin reading in the New Testament?

I did a study just in the Gospels about the dynamics between Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit; the Apostles; and you can see how the Body of Christ is to operate as a unit...one Body. It keeps you focused.

The Old Testament can be accessed to see the prophesies that have been fulfilled, or the few that are being fulfilled now.

We are to be involved in EQUIPPING the Saints of God for the Lord to have available; disciples to work in this End Time Harvest.

We are to be His Body that sees, hears, teaches and preaches what we have learned; TO THOSE THAT ARE PERISHING !

Has anybody memorized the link out on the Red Section that has the Link: How TO Become A Christian??

Where is The Spirit of John the Baptist? Calling people to repent and be born again?

Do you know enough to lead them in a prayer for salvation? Point them to a Church that possesses the pure milk of the Word?

    1 Corinthians Chapter 3

1 And I, brethren, could NOT speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2 I have fed you with MILK and not with MEAT: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it; NEITHER NOW are ye able.

3 For ye are yet CARNAL: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

    John 4:34

JESUS saith unto them, My MEAT is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

The anti christ is a man . And there is a false prophet that exalts him .

The anti christ does many things before his image is be taken or death . So it will not be any mystery who he is before the mark or image is forced upon us all . The time of decision will be when the mark is forced , why cut your self short on speculation ?

Maybe going off grid is a good idea if you don't want it over by death . And can tough it out til the Lord comes . Some will survive to the very end .

Baptism doth now save us. I like to believe that in baptism our body is literally buried in death with Jesus Christ. Likewise, when we rise out of the water that we are raised a new creature ,raised in the life of Christ. putting on Christ. The sacrament also being the literal body and blood of Jesus. That we remember what he has done, and pray his body and blood will sanctify and cleanse us from all unrighteous. Doing this as often as we need to. Especially, in times of temptation and when men will fall away from the faith.

Fear of the Lord, means RESPECT of HIS DIETY. I at one time thought if was a bad fear, however, learning more of the Lord, I understand better. HE is my LORD AND SAVIOUR and I PRAISE HIM all the time..GOD is good all the time. God bless all.

Scripture tells us plainly we have a body and soul. The soul returns to God who gave it. The parable of the rich man tells us, he lifted up his eyes in hell. Period.

I believe races/cultures/regions were created from Genesis 11:8-9.

It says got changed their languages and scattered them across the earth- that's 2 things spoken of. We also know a culture comes with a language, like Thai people speaking Thai language or Russians in Russia speaking Russia. Therefore, since we already know the language and location was scattered I think we can safely assume each was given a distinctive culture and a distinctive appearance too- Asians in Asia, Europeans in Europe, etc. It logically makes sense this is what created the races, even though the Bible does not specifically state it.

But whatever the future holds, as humans needing to maintain our basic needs for survival & happiness, we will generally have to fall into line with the status quo. How then the believer, who knows what the anti-christ or even anti-christian govts will require of us, interprets the law & then makes his choices, will become a very personal decision, which may even be in conflict with how other Christians view & decide on those issues.

The Bible forewarns us, so we're not in ignorance of the future. What form this mark takes, we're not told, but it would be another form of identification & giving access to things pertaining to life, so that every man, woman & child will be recognized as such. Most people would readily receive it as just another 'progression' for uniformity & order in society, but for the believer, it will be a mark that ultimately determines to whom our allegiance & worship is directed to.

If you are in fellowship with those who understand & warn others of this coming aspect of anti-christian compulsion by govts, then you have the support & encouragement to hold on to the Lord & face the consequences. I pity those believers in ignorance or weak in faith who would easily succumb, rather giving in to their need for survival than to their need to wholly love the Lord & obey Him only. Could we even anticipate, in that coming day, that communes of believers would live together & maintain separation from society for as long as possible, praying & waiting for the Lord's return? We might resemble the early Church who huddled together as Saul & his murderous horde sought them out. There'll be strength & joy from the Spirit of God to face all our circumstances.
