Hi Norman, I think that the questions you have asked & the things you have been mulling over, have also been our thoughts at one time or another. It is my sense, that those who continue to read & study the Word of God will always be sensitive to what God's Will is for them & how to understand the things that happen around them. As believers, we are no longer of this world, neither its citizens, so that immediately takes our perspective of life now & in the future to a whole different plane, as we continually measure ourselves to biblical warrants & behaviours, both now & in the future.

That said & knowing human inclination to question things or rebel against introduction of things foreign to our way of life, I feel that all that will be introduced to us (as in the past also), will have a cumulative effect on us to make us more accepting of these things, believing them to be the natural order. True, someone or a govt can rise up & make an outrageous demand upon us & we have to accept it or else suffer penalty, or those same entities can use existing, accepted norms to bring out a more demanding ruling/law that makes it much easier for us to accept & adhere to.

Some of the things we have now, e.g. the credit card, eye/finger print scans at airports, tracking bracelets or inserts, plethora of cameras in our cities, the many agencies (both govt & private) that exchange & store information on almost every aspect of our existence, etc., are all readily accepted by the greater population (though some of us have grave concerns). I see that it won't take much more change to existing apparatus to bring in the 'pressing' need for a mark or common identifier on people so that 'better management & security can be afforded to the people'.

The point is: at what stage do we refuse to go further with such demands upon us? To that end, few refuse to use a credit card, travel by airplanes, the internet, etc. trying for as long as possible to keep themselves 'invisible'.

    Here's a few worthy considerations:

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. ( Psalm 119:9)

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ( 1 Corinthians 6:11)

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. ( 2 Corinthians 7:1)

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. ( James 4:7-10)

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. ( 1 John 1:7-10)

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ( Revelation 1:5)

Wendall, may the Spirit grace you with understanding, the scriptures referring to the leaves of the tree are in Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22. These are prophesies about the Sons of God (us). Christ is the Tree of Life; therefore, we also become trees (of life). John 15: Abide in me and I in you. At our physical death we (children or the resurrection) shall put on Christ (BECOME ONE). 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 ......the saints shall judge the world......know ye not that we shall judge angels... the leaves (us) of the TREE (Christ) shall be for the healing of the nations (all mankind).

Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the saviour of all men, specially those that believe.

1 Corinthians 2:9 For it is written ( Isaiah 64:4), Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things God hath prepared for them that love him.

  • Bendito Palavra - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 5 years ago
God created Adam and Eve with enough genetic information within themselves to eventually bring about the many differences we now see in people. Actually there is only one race, human, with many families, tribes and nations. As time passed and people multiplied, small variations became greater. Different combinations of genetic information were enhanced by unique contributions from each parent to the next generation.

In Genesis 10, after the flood, we read that the whole earth was populated by the descendants of Shem, Ham and Japheth, the three sons of Noah. By that time in history, each of their beautiful wives must have had strikingly different appearances.

In Genesis 11, the LORD confounds the speech of the people in response to their building the tower of Babel. This caused them to scatter into separate tribes and nations which by separation would naturally bring about even greater differences in genetic characteristics.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. ( Revelation 5:6-10)

I am a very strong believer but I am concerned about this. When the end of time comes how are we to know what to do and the right things to do like the mark and how to do all the right things? Like the mark of the beast, does everyone get the mark or who does and how to know what all the right things are to do? The reason I ask this is it looks like it is going to be like we have never seen or ever will and I want to make sure I do all the right things when the time comes. Thanks you.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

Could l get an interpretation on what this scriptures meant during the days of King Solomon and what it meant culturally and religiously for the Jew. Thanks.

Falling away indeed , but still more to come . Society in general , wants no law and order , but are not wise enough to know the results of it .

Also God raises up spoilers for a reason as well . It's time to really be serious about God and his word . And thank God for his unchanging word too !

Are hope is when Christ comes again , the darkness that precedes it means it's coming closer . But many things need to come to

Pass yet and have not .

We are not appointed unto wrath . Jesus Christ is our Ark in the flood of trouble .

Repentance is essentially about changing our way of thinking and agreeing with God in regard to our sin and our need of Jesus Christ. It is the LORD's work to perfect us as we persist in walking daily with him:

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. ( Jude 24-25)

Salvation is a free gift from God through Jesus Christ whose perfect righteousness is credited to us when we trust him as our Savior. Salvation was purchased by Jesus' blood shed on the cross, and made certain by his resurrection from the dead.

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ( Romans 5:18)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ( Romans 10:8-13)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. ( Ephesians 2:8-9)

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, ( 2 Timothy 1:9)

Christianity is not a mere title.

It holds great responsibility, so believers must be willing to accept it's responsibility before taking it.

Mac, may the Spirit of understanding grace you with truth, the Psalms were written (as is the rest of scripture) by the Spirit of the Father. 2 Samuel 23:1-2 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel said, (vs) 2 The Spirit of the Lord, spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. Psalms will completely change the way you understand the word of God when you understand that the Spirit of the Lord is speaking not David. GBU

    1 Thessalonians 5

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation."

Wendall, the Spirit of understanding be upon you, the verses you are inquiring about are in Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 47 and Revelation 22. Christ is the Tree of Life; however, when we depart this flesh and are one with Christ we also become trees (of life) and will judge the world and angels and our leaves will be for the healing of the nations. May the Spirit grace you with understanding. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written ( Isaiah 64:4), Eye hath not seen. nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart (mind) of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. October 22, 2020, my granddaughter, Naomi Grace Haywood, turns 15 years old today. We have a tradition of reading one's "birthday Psalm" as part of our birthday celebrations and I wonder: Lord, why have you chosen this for Naomi's birthday? That the Lord's return for us is near is evident: may He make us, especially those we love, ready that we may endure whatever is coming upon us. Bless you Lord Jesus and blessed be your Holy Name!

    Amen my brother Lewis,

I saw some pretty disturbing stuff the other night. We all need to clamp onto Jesus Christ and our Father. Keep our faith and be ready to take up our crosses. Always keep praying my brothers and sisters. He is always with us. He loves us all so much. Try not to worry and just stay calm. Getting nervous and full of fear profits us nothing.

Everyone is in my prayers. God Bless.

    Hello David,

As I saw your question I feel to just put some info I've found about this. I believe the first death means our physical death. The second death is pertaining to if we are thrown into the lake of fire after the final judgement.

The thing I feel to post is this. The KJV Bible has taken five different words, two Hebrew, three Greek, and just replaced them all with "Hell". This is one thing you find when comparing our Bible to the original Hebrew or Greek texts. The two Hebrew words(phonetic) "min" and "shehole". "Min" used only four times seems to be used like "hence" or away from. Sheole used 31 times for "grave" and made to say "hell" 27 times. Three times for "pit". Now the Greek(New Testament) uses the words "Gehenna" or "Valley of Hinnom", which is a literal place in Israel, then "Hades" changed 10 times into "hell" and once for "grave". Then "Tartarus" which is used only once which seems to be the deepest abyss where the fallen angels are being held.

I'll end with this. I believe the person who does not accept the free gift of eternal life, through Jesus Christ, will not suffer for eternity. As the devil, maybe fallen angels and whatnot, have been destined to. I believe they(people) will have to suffer a second death and perish. God is love. I do not believe He would ever see it fair to have a human who lived maybe only 70 years on earth, was lied to their whole lives, making mistakes, and to punish that person into eternal pain and suffering. The Lord does not want any to perish as He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He wants all to repent, turn from, their evil ways and live.

God Bless everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Luke 17:19

"And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Jesus says I am the light of the world. The influences of mankind and the effects of it, however Good or evil they may be! Here is one who words will open the hearts and minds conquering what man fears the most! Sin , death, and hell itself. Unlike us who would take credit for what we might contribute to the world, we see a man who glorifies not himself ,but who glorifies His Father that has sent Him! Christ, once again divides the darkness from the light, with the words "I am the light of the world". When we except Christ and His word, only then will we begin to know what the Father has for those that love Him! Growing in the faith of his love will conquer anything imaginable ,anything you or I could think or contribute to ourselves or anyone.

Lisa M: Paul's references to son are made because he was instrumental in bringing both men to Christ and thus creating a new life for them - the spiritual equivalent of being a biological father.

I don't know what the originial scripture said, but in this case I believe the meaning is quite clear.
