Yes indeed: it's the Living Word of God, i.e. the words are from God & they come alive to our hearts so we can know God & His Purposes for us. Keep reading, Sanaytrah, asking God to help you understand & to apply it to your life where needed. It contains the words of life - words that tell us how to come out of the darkness of our minds & hearts, into His glorious Light & to the saving of our souls. May you enjoy reading it & come to understanding of its message for you.

Jesus has one body. He came down from heaven with that body and went back to heaven with that body. Go look in the tomb where He was buried after the cross. He's not there. Some did go and look and He was not there. They did see Him after He rose from the dead. But that tomb is empty to this day.

If anyone is interested. Another site that is a great tool, tons of information, to see the actual words of the Bible from the original Hebrew(Old Testament) or Greek(New Testament). As It has every word in the Bible. Just type any verse, or word, in the search bar. It will come up with every word our "English" translation came from. Clicking on the Strongs number gives great info about each word. Shows how well the KJV is to the original Hebrew or Greek Scriptures.

One of Jesus's followers asked Jesus, How many times should I forgive my brother, 7 times? And Jesus said to him, "I say not 7 times, but 70 times 7 times.

word rapture is not in the bible BUT that don't mean it is not real. When all believers meet Jesus in the clouds is what we believe to be the rapture. Just because the word is not in the bible don't mean it is not true.

John 3:16 is the clearest verus in the bible. Don't add anything to it and you have a perfect verus and can't be disputed.
  • Stanjett - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4:17 - 5 years ago
No. It means you are saved right then. Not later. You do not have to do anything else. ( you will, but you don't have to.) Some say you have to be babtized. You do but not to be saved. You are already saved before you are babtized. After you are saved you will do what He says to do, like being babtized and follow Him.

David & Solomon would have known the requirements of Deuteronomy 17:14-20 especially & as well, 1 Samuel 13:14 does show God's own selection for Israel's next king, but the fact of the matter is that David failed God in many respects. He was still the chosen one, yet still human with failings, but God could find the qualities in David that were absent in Saul. David's disobedience through a multiplicity of wives, & desire for Bathsheba in particular, brought on the required sorrow & discipline.

There are both fine godly men & women in the Church today. True, we are also products of our cultures, environments, & circumstances, but those who are truly walking in the Spirit & filling themselves with the Word of God, are continually subject to His directions & the proper thoughts & decisions they have to make.

Both men & women need to shoulder the blame where wrong has been committed since we have departed by not applying the Word to our lives. We might expect our wives to be submissive to us, but we fail to singularly & passionately love our wives & see to their needs. If the modern wife disregards her position then either she is re-interpreting the Word to suit, or the husband has failed in his calling to love her. Those constantly walking in the Spirit are those who are constantly sensitive to the Lord & to each other in marriage.

I don't know. But one thing I do Know is the nails did not break any of the bones. The bible says none of his bones was broken.

God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy ghost is a trinity. Three in one. Its not a couple or four or any other number. It's three in one. Sometimes we got to use our common sense. The word rapture is not in the bible either. Don't mean it is not true.

God is the Father of Jesus. Mary and Joseph didn't have sex until Jesus was born.
  • Chris - In Reply on Luke 11 - 5 years ago
Dylan, you've touched on several aspects of God's dealing with us.

Firstly, when the Bible speaks of 'election' it means that God had in the distant past selected those that would be His children, receive His favour & partake of His Kingdom. Israel is said to be His elect (e.g. Isaiah 45:4) & now those also who have now come to Him for salvation through Jesus Christ His Son (e.g. Colossians 3:12). So if a person does not fall into those categories (i.e. Israel & those born again of God's Spirit), they are not classified as the Elect of God. If a person leads a good life & is generous with his goods to others, this still does not make him acceptable to God, since not one person, bar Christ, was ever good enough to please God ( Romans 3:10, 23).

Now, there's another word similar in meaning to 'election', & that is 'predestination'. These words are almost interchangeable except 'predestination' is used exclusively to born again believers who have been predestined (again, we were appointed before time), to partake in the adoption process. That is, believers might have been elected to be partakers of Kingdom Life, but we have also been appointed to go through the adoption process whereby God, in Love & Mercy, takes someone not in His original family & brings him into His family because of his faith in Jesus Christ. (see Ephesians 1:5, 11). So as a result of our adoption, our predestination into God's Family includes that we don't have Hell as our destiny, but Heaven.

The Bible doesn't speak of any other place where people who die can go to, except Heaven or Hell. Some religions teach falsely of an intermediary place (e.g. purgatory), for a period of further cleansing so as to enter Heaven, but Jesus always taught that there are only two places ( Matthew 18:1-11, for an example of either entering Heaven or Hell). And the decision we make on Earth now determines where our eventual destiny will be. Some mistakenly believe they are on the right way but..for Proverbs 14:12.

The word rapture is not in the bible. BUT that don't mean that there won't be one. It's clear that there will be one. When the dead in Christ shall rise first and then we that are alive will rise and meet the Lord in the sky.

No such thing as a rapture in word or event in the Bible, it's all false teaching !

The actual event is the coming of the Lord after Antichrist is destroyed by God on day of the lord .

They been saying this rapture will happen any day now for well over a 100 yrs , even setting dates . Run from any teachings of Hagge or the likes of him !
