Trouble in my life

I am in my late 40's but still have faith to have a God fearing man to be with me for the rest of my life. Praying...thank u.

There's a 9 year old little boy that has a type of cancer that attacks children. He's had lots of chemo but it's not working. There starting a much stronger type called DI, which they say will be really rough on him. Please pray for healing for him according to God's plan for him and his family. Their a very close family.

And I need prayer also. I have back pain and I had knee replacement surgery a year ago and it's been even harder to manage the pain. I've gained 20 lbs on top of 218 and I can't seem to get the mindset I need to lose it because of the pain. All of this pain has affected my mind and thoughts in my prayer life and studying my Bible everyday. I haven't been able to go to church . My time with the Lord every morning is what I want and need very deeply. Please please pray I don't lose this. I am a Christian and I know my Lord and Savior. Thanks for the prayers!!!

Please pray for my neighbor Dottie and niece Amber who have cancer. My friends mom Jo who had a stroke and my daughter Chrissy and grandson Christopher who both have mental and substance abuse problems. Please pray for my uncle in law (John) who has the Coronavirus and is struggling with the symptoms. I just think God shows us often His love and interest in simple things that encourages us to look up.

Someone once told me bloom where you are planted. I do that. I think a lot of prayer is the best decoration of all.

Our experience not unlike yours. A church leader also bought our place. What was interesting about our old house is that it had a flat roof! Not sure if this was anything ,adding to our experience. On the other hand my new house has windows in the roof, now I am able to look directly into heaven! Its nice to think we can add to anything he has created?The real power is in the word. I have COPD and have been having a hard time breathing. I ask for prayers for strength and courage to by God's grace to breath better and carry on. I give thanks for each day and all the many blessings the Lord has bestowed upon me. I praise my God. Amen Thank you.

I have trouble believing a lot of things in the Bible about God I need help please.

Im asking if i can be prayed for That the Lord Strengthens my faith in him , and that i'm healed from Schizophrenia And that Gods love and Mercy and protection dwells on me and my family.

Ian, that's a question many have contemplated long & hard over the generations. You could receive different views, but I can only share how I consider such an intriguing matter.

Whatever things are hidden from us & are in the domain of Almighty God need to remain with Him, without our compulsions to believe a certain way. One of the best verses that gives us a glimpse of this is in Ephesians 1:3-5 where Paul tells us of God's Plan for those He chooses. However, the verses only tell us that God has chosen us IN HIM (in Christ) even before the foundation of the world to be holy beings. And that God has predestined (planned our destiny) to be called His children through Jesus Christ & according to His good pleasure.

But, as you ask, why some & not others? Are we so privileged to belong to Him because our names were 'drawn out of a hat'? Or, did God, in His Omniscience, already know those whom He wanted or would respond to His Call & therefore appointed us to receive salvation? Is it at all possible that there could be some earnest soul wanting to be saved through Jesus, but is refused because of not being predestined? I have never seen such a pitiful situation as this.

Then why is the Gospel preached by the Apostles & the Church, if God's predestining overrides any effort or desire on our part? The only way I can understand this aspect of God's Character is by harmonizing the Scriptures. If His Love for the sinner was so great & persistent that He would send His Son for our sake & that Jesus Himself enjoined his apostles to take this Gospel message to the far reaches of the globe, then surely God's predestining & choosing is dependent on His prompting of a heart to hunger for Truth, to hear & receive the Gospel & be sealed with His Spirit. And those who will reject the Truth because of the hardness of their hearts, to them God has not shed Light nor predestined to salvation. Yet we still preach the Gospel so all may hear & know - that's our responsibility.

Please pray for my son Paul Gregory especially for the following

1. Due to the pandemic and consequent lockdown he is unable to complete his doctorate degree please pray for the completion.

2. He remains unemployed. Please pray that he gets suitable job with good pay.

3. Also pray that he is able to get a good life partner at the earliest. As I am old and retired I wish that he settles in life soon.
