It all refers to God the father , then Jesus reveals God and Gods word by the birth of Jesus . The Son of God .

I can't find Jesus anywhere in Genesis. Unless you think He is God .

I've had this piece of driftwood I picked up off a lakeshore as a teenager. I threw it in a box, but found it recently; put it on a shelf. Days after my eyes wold be drawn there; I had thought it to look like a cow head in the past. I live in Texas. Now it was creeping me out. I tossed it in the trash and the Holy Spirit said, Good riddance.

I didn't mean you have things in your house. I was just saying it's a good thing to listen to the Holy Spirit's advise. Please forgive me.

I agree that Cain inherited his sinful nature from Adam. Before Adam & Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good & evil they knew no sin because they were made in the image of God. It was only after they ate from the tree that they new good & evil.

Jesus is our role model on how we [should] live. [If] it was [impossible] for us to [sin no more] then Jesus wouldn't of commanded us to [do] it.

These, Rod, were your comments on "M's" Genesis 1. Reading M's comment, my gut says M is Calvinist. Much of M's comment alludes to the eternality of Jesus before He was born in Bethlehem - a paradox. Not that God couldn't do it but it's not what the KJV says. Go to these verses- John 1,10,14. I'm chopping sentences to fit this in. Beginning-Word with God, was God. Word made flesh-Jesus, born a male-only Begotten(=monogeneses-Greek, one gene) Son of God. God made Jesus genetics, placed in Mary. Mary's genetics contributed nothing to Jesus. Mary provided a womb and blood for His natural human birth though Mary supernaturally impregnated by God making his birth a miracle. Jesus genetics made special to isolate him from Adam. All born in Adam have natural sin. Jesus had none because God requires an unspotted, unblemished sacrifice. Thank God for Jesus-the only one in the universe qualified as unblemished by sin to die in our place. He intercedes for us to God. He didn't even say pray to Him. He said pray to...Our Father which art in heaven...Mary was the incubator for the growth of Jesus to birth. She is not to be venerated, prayed to and the like. She was a chaste and virtuous woman but not the mother of God. Jesus said, my Father and I are one. Greeks used the word for the ordinal number one. Wrong-He spoke Hebrew, the word Jesus used was "ehhad" which means a unit. Study what Jesus said - Father is greater than I, I can do nothing without my Father, things concerning me have an end, etc. See 1 John 4:15-Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the SON OF GOD, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. This verse settles a lot of religious mumbo jumbo. Jesus does not say believe I am God. Believe He is Son of God - read 1 Cor. 15-22--28.

The Holy Spirit (upon consent by Mary Mother of Jesus) overshadowed her. (remember that H.S, is a spirit; no body).

The spark of Life within her began to grow. Jesus came into the world. Re-read verse 14 again.

COMMENT: the Holy Spirit who is co-equal to The Father and the Son; who co-created this world we live on: is the One who overshadowed the conception.

In Genesis 1:2 we see the Holy Spirit: moved upon the face of the waters. In Psalm 33:6 and Job 26:13 we see the Holy Spirits work.

Rob, you need to slow down and read in silence. If your Bible does not have 'center of each page reference columns'; get one. Put that in your search criteria if shopping online. Go to the other references on A scripture & see the added information/meaning. It'll blow your socks off sometimes.

MOST IMPORTANT: ask the Holy Spirit to Teach you the truths of what you read. Every time you study. That's how I dig up the things that I do.

1 Peter 1.20

No one has a right to form the word of God , their way , like piecing together a jig saw puzzle .

It does not work that way .

A person must listen to hear what God is saying in the word through the Spirit of the word of God .

It's spiritual . And Gods Spirit is the true teacher , if not you end up with lots of errors , that can even make sense to men but it's not Gods meaning and therefore false no matter how genius it seems .

Father, I place my cares about my loved ones into Your hands. Thank You for loving them more than I ever can, and for sending Your Son Jesus to die for us all, so that we can receive eternal life. Make Your love and presence real to my loved ones right where they are, and by Your Holy Spirit, convict every unbelieving heart of Your love for them. Open their eyes to see Your loveliness, and their hearts to hear and believe the gospel and live by Your will forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.

That is my daily prayer to ask God to give me clarity in this trial and I pray and don't believe I have made anything idol before God because I am always conscious, but not perfect. If there is anything unacceptable or unpleasing to God, I ask Him to show me and cleanse me!

9. Speak it and practice the Words of God.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." - Colossians 3:16 (KJV)

Be the manifestation of God's wisdom. Do not just learn God's words, but also speak it out and practice it. Make yourself the substantial evidence of kindness, compassion, self-discipline, and love. Let the people around you realize that the wisdom of God, which is Christ, is within you.

10. Do your best to get wisdom.

"Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." - Proverbs 4:5-7 (NIV)

Finally, do your best to get wisdom. Free yourself from foolishness, arrogance, pride, envy, hatred, selfishness, and all the things that hinder wisdom from entering your body, mind, heart, and soul. Let the pure wisdom of God dwell in you.

Satan's power

Satan's power in the Mind Of Man is limited to the lies and deceptions that he can get us to believe. If we are on guard for the enemy's attacks and if we refuse to let any of the enemy's lies and deceptions remain in our mind, then Satan has no power over us. If we, both Christian and non-Christian, permit Satan to build false strongholds in OUR MIND, he gains considerable power over us, and the sad part of deception is that it is very hard for the person who is deceived to believe that they are deceived, so start early casting out the enemy's fiery darts of thoughts before they grow into deceptions and the deceptions grow into a stronghold. Ephesians 6

Tearing down strongholds:

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ ( 2 Corinthians 10:4-5). This verse says a great deal. We have weapons, we are in warfare, our war is not against our loved ones, but against the devil. We are told that it is our war and "we" are to initiate the attack, not God. And our weapons are not of this world, but are God's "divine power" and authority to use God's power to destroy the devil's strongholds and arguments in a person, so that the light of the truth may come in.

Take up the sword of the Word and in His divine power, tear down those strongholds. Jesus said to His disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free ( John 8:32).

From me: it's ok to get hopping mad at Satan and launch some heavy scriptures at Him. Resist the Devil and he must flee!!

Cast out the demons into outer darkness and the ask God if you can have angelic support? Make sure your home is "idol free". Ask the Holy Spirit to do a walk through with you. I'll be in the Questions Room. Mishael

Sorry there but you're off on an incorrect line of thinking. Cain was still Adam's son. Cain's murder of his brother was a manifestation of his carnal heart that he inherited from daddy, that is Adam. Carnality is why you parents do not spend time teaching your children to misbehave but to correct wrong behavior. Yet they still learn to lie, steal, hate, and etc. Typically children just naturally know how to be dishonest. They were born that way because they were born carnal.

There is a cure for that carnal heart. Step 1 is to be saved from committed sin through the prayer of repentance. Step 2 is to offer yourself to God by being sanctified, assuming you've not sinned since repentance, which is required of all to cease the sinning now on Earth. You'll need to ask Him to remove the carnal nature and to fill you with the Holy Ghost. That is the cure, how to stop sinning. Each person needs to be saved from committed and inherited sins, or you die lost.

Here we see the truth of the Godhead .

Jeremiah 15-18 Prophesy

Matthew 2:13-18; the event as foretold by Jeremiah:

Comment: it was a prophesy foretold hundreds of years prior. All of Gods prophesies will be fulfilled; if He tells it to a prophet. Note: the slain children went to heaven that day.
