If God before us who can be against us ?
Yes a babe in Christ can be deceived by persuading people for a time , but the truth of the Bible will set them free if they read it alone or else where .
The over comer has no fear of the devil . But acknowledges his tactics and avoids them , and knows how to pray effectively.
Jesus taught the disciples how to pray . To keep them out of temptations .
More is better but alone works too if you know how to walk with God .
Thank you for your reply. I tried to do a Bible Study at home a few times with our newest member at church, but it was a disaster. If she disagreed with it she would get aggressive and say that's your opinion. I told her it was scripture, but it didn't make a difference. I haven't invited her since. I try to avoid drama because it causes me anxiety. I tend to spend most of my time on my own nowadays, as I have been single for the last 13 years. I would be most grateful if anyone reading this thread could pray for me to meet my future husband (Lord willing of course !!!) because I've just turned 44 & never been married, & my Daughter is 20 on the 12th Oct, so I doubt she will be living here much longer. It would also be nice to have some emotional support & someone to pray for me instead of feeling lonely & struggling with my faith on my own.
My Daughter & my Mum do see me reading my bible and hear me listening to Christian songs, but I usually do it in my bedroom out of their way because it causes conflict, especially when my Mum's here. I usually do my prayers in the morning and before I go to bed in secret like the Bible says, but I also pray with my daughter when my mum's gone home for my nephew. He has an autoimmune disorder because of a bone marrow transplant that he had when he had leukemia. Any prayers for him would be greatly appreciated. .
I feel happy reading the scriptures, fellowshipping on here, & reading things on Christian websites like 'The Way Prepared Scriptures Study Review'. I'm trying to be a bit more Godly & a bit less worldly day by day because I know that it's impossible for me to do it over night. I just have to keep reminding myself to resist the Devil & he will flee from me & keep moving forward.
God bless you & your family.
Kind Regards
Claire
Fornication is out side of a marriage .
All sexually activity within a marriage is Adultery .
Marriage is very rarely understood in most places .
Read Romans chapter 6 it's the Law yes applies today as well .
It's really simple but men make it confusing.
The true Christ is come in the flesh not some spiritualized Christ . 1 John chapter 4 1,2,3,4
Be careful you don't believe in another Christ
The John 1:40, 41 shows that Andrew & Simon Peter were only introduced to Jesus. Andrew of course was one of John the Baptist's disciples who went after Jesus to find out where He was going to stay the night.
Then in John 1:43 ff, Philip & Nathaniel follow Jesus on the following day( Mt 4:18 & Jn 1:43), which could tie up with the day that the other men were called in Matthew chapter 4.
Not knowing the details of what you've shared, if it is at all possible to talk with that person about his lifestyle in light of what God requires of us. The fact that he has asked for prayer indicates a God-consciousness or a desperation for some answer or relief. So I would think that he would be open to listening to you about what sin is & how he must not continue in it.
If he is convicted by God's Word & desires to seek the Lord, you have a great opportunity to pray with him & for him. If he's not interested & just asking for prayer, I would tell him that I will pray but will also ask God to first speak to his heart in respect of his lifestyle as well as his need. The important thing here is that a right relationship to God is first needed. If he wants to have sin & also God's help with his matter, then you need to sense in your spirit whether such a prayer is appropriate.
As the Scripture says: God hears our prayers if we ask according to His Will - I believe the pressing prayer you could offer is for God's Spirit to convict him of his sin & lifestyle. You can tell him that you'll pray, if you feel you ought to, but that his heart's condition & lifestyle are more important than his other needs.
Thank you for your reply. Yes, Everyone is being really helpful & encouraging. I am enjoying the "online" fellowship & the comfort & help that is being provided by my brothers & sisters in Christ.
Most of the people In the two main churches that I have been to seem to be happy just plodding along and taking everything that the pastors say as gospel. I think they think that because they have been baptised, believe that Jesus died for our sins, & they turn up for church on Sunday that this is enough to them into Heaven. Others might experience that 'comfortable' fit within the Church. But I didn't really feel that at any of the churches that I have been to. I have always felt like I didn't fit in anywhere even from a very young age, and yes I am hungry for Truth from the Word & want to practise what the Bible says & I don't just want to plod on in vain & on the day of judgement be stuck with a
I don't believe a perfect church exists, but I do believe we can still maintain our beliefs, yet also enjoy worshipping together, be it online or elsewhere. I haven't been to church this morning because I feel like I learn more & have a better understanding by reading the bible myself & listening to independent views online, but after reading your reply about it being important for me to fellowship with other believers, I have decided to go to the evening service tonight.
I don't think it's good for me to spend too much time with non believers because it causes me anxiety to be around them too long. I think it's best I just pray for them because my relationship with them is rocky already and has been since I was a teenager.
I came across a site last night called 'The Way Prepared Scriptures Study Review' one of the topics was 'Our Greatest Hindrance: The Doctrines and Commandments of Men' I found it helpful, and was wondering if anyone on here is familiar with the site ?
God bless you & your family.

God also speaks through Isaiah in that chapter about His Greatness & the special position of Israel to His Heart (vv 3-6) & a part of that message was that God can create both light & darkness (the absence of light); He can create peace & also evil (the absence of peace; calamity; war). God, in His Power & Authority can cause Israel to live in peace & security, or if they disobeyed Him, then that peace can be taken away (evil will befall them). However, in this chapter, God is using Cyrus to bring evil (war) by conquering Babylon thus enabling the release of Israel from her clutches.
And so with Job 2:10. Did God specifically bring evil upon Job when he did nothing wrong deserving punishment? Rather, God permitted Satan to afflict Job terribly with the loss of his family, property & affliction of boils. His 'wise, loving' wife told Job to curse God & die - it would be better for him than suffering, but you know Job's response to her: God has blessed me with good & shall not evil (bad) things also come my way - not knowing the reason for his suffering as God gave Satan permission to test Job's faithfulness. Likewise, do we also blame God when evil strikes us? Some do, but those who know the Heart of God understand the matter correctly: a Good God cannot create evil, or else He isn't good - God cannot be both. Evil comes because of our sin or from God's discipline just as He gave to Israel when they left Him.
The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 says, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth ( 1 Timothy 2:3-4).
It is God's desire that all should be saved. He loves you so much that He gave His one and only son as a ransom to pay for our sins.
Overcoming Spiritual Blindness & Deafness.
We should, we must, pray for the Salvation of others. What we are doing is asking God to move in their lives. Jesus said that He came to "seek and to save the lost" ( Luke 19:10). Jesus does the seeking and the Holy Spirit opens their heart. If you want to see someone's heart healed and their eternal future secured, you must be praying. Pray helps open the door to Jesus. Jesus taught that we "ought always to pray and not lose heart" ( Luke 18:1).
Turn off all the media, so we can pray and hear The Holy Spirit.
If it is God's desire that all should be saved, then why are so many people still unsaved? 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us the god of this world [the devil] has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
You can watch some spiritual warfare videos on YouTube. I'll post on that later. Let's get our families freed and saved.

Wesley's Notes for Hebrews
13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you - The word implies also, that lead or guide you; namely, in truth and holiness. And submit yourselves - Give up (not your conscience or judgment, but) your own will, in all things purely indifferent. For they watch over your souls - With all zeal and diligence, they guard and caution you against all danger. As they that must give account - To the great Shepherd, for every part of their behaviour toward you. How vigilant then ought every pastor to be! How careful of every soul committed to his charge! That they may do this - Watch over you. With joy and not with groans - He is not a good shepherd, who does not either rejoice over them, or groan for them. The groans of other creatures are heard: how much more shall these come up in the ears of God ! Whoever answers this character of a Christian pastor may undoubtedly demand this obedience.
People's Bible Notes for Hebrews 13:17
Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you. Your elders or bishops. For they watch for your souls. Give them deference on this account, and because they must give account to the Master of those committed to their trust.

The Humility of Jesus is shown in how he cared for people who came to Him for help.
There are many, many ministries who could use an extra pair of hands, and a friendly smile.
You aren't going to have a husband ring the doorbell. You need to make some calls; call your church for advise. Be VISABLE. Try:
Feeding ministries
Benevolence (Clothing,toys,shoes)
Collecting coats for Kids
Helping with blue or brown Santa
Writing out Holiday greeting cards for shut-in's or elderly
Your local civic organizations (paint scenery for Christmas plays, find costumes, etc
Help Habitat for Humanity
A nice man may be out in the midst of all that: being his kind and caring self. As long as you're isolated you will not be in range of meeting. Mission accomplished by Satans crummy helpers. Conversation in public only.
If your church doesn't do these kind of things; find a church with a big singles ministry. No rule says you can't visit other singles ministries and attend your regular church.
Life can be fun again. Mishael
