I'd have to disagree , Satan has no mastery over a mature Believer alone or with many .

If God before us who can be against us ?

Yes a babe in Christ can be deceived by persuading people for a time , but the truth of the Bible will set them free if they read it alone or else where .

The over comer has no fear of the devil . But acknowledges his tactics and avoids them , and knows how to pray effectively.

Jesus taught the disciples how to pray . To keep them out of temptations .

More is better but alone works too if you know how to walk with God .

Hi Book of Acts in your Home,

Thank you for your reply. I tried to do a Bible Study at home a few times with our newest member at church, but it was a disaster. If she disagreed with it she would get aggressive and say that's your opinion. I told her it was scripture, but it didn't make a difference. I haven't invited her since. I try to avoid drama because it causes me anxiety. I tend to spend most of my time on my own nowadays, as I have been single for the last 13 years. I would be most grateful if anyone reading this thread could pray for me to meet my future husband (Lord willing of course !!!) because I've just turned 44 & never been married, & my Daughter is 20 on the 12th Oct, so I doubt she will be living here much longer. It would also be nice to have some emotional support & someone to pray for me instead of feeling lonely & struggling with my faith on my own.

My Daughter & my Mum do see me reading my bible and hear me listening to Christian songs, but I usually do it in my bedroom out of their way because it causes conflict, especially when my Mum's here. I usually do my prayers in the morning and before I go to bed in secret like the Bible says, but I also pray with my daughter when my mum's gone home for my nephew. He has an autoimmune disorder because of a bone marrow transplant that he had when he had leukemia. Any prayers for him would be greatly appreciated. .

I feel happy reading the scriptures, fellowshipping on here, & reading things on Christian websites like 'The Way Prepared Scriptures Study Review'. I'm trying to be a bit more Godly & a bit less worldly day by day because I know that it's impossible for me to do it over night. I just have to keep reminding myself to resist the Devil & he will flee from me & keep moving forward.

God bless you & your family.

    Kind Regards

Your verse 32 states except for fornication , that's premarital sex , it makes a marriage void because they played a harlot before marriage or whore monger . They where to be virgins at marriage.

Fornication is out side of a marriage .

All sexually activity within a marriage is Adultery .

Marriage is very rarely understood in most places .

Read Romans chapter 6 it's the Law yes applies today as well .

It's really simple but men make it confusing.

Hi Claire, totally understand u. But church is a building not a bodyofchrist(PEOPLE) True believers that worship in truth & spirit, Church(MAN DOCTRINE'S) is a numbers game. always has been always will. Untill jah will be done. O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what partAnd what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. I was thinking about Gal. 3 v 16 KJV Now unto Abraham and his seed were the PROMISES made but he said NOT unto seeds plural,NATURAL ISRAEL But unto 1 seed which is Christ thus its Christ that is gonna be multiplied as the stars of heaven Thats y Jesus refers to the H.G as the PROMISE meaning the multiplication of God thats y God swore by his very self, when he cd sware by no greater he swore by himself,Its God that is gonna be multiplied via the WORD that good seed,Thats y Jesus is saying to whom the word came it made them GODS WHICH IS THE MULTIPLICATION OF GOD. And its impossible for GOD TO LIE. HEBREWS 6 It was God Almighty that made that Promise. Ya gotta realize that Christ sows a much greater seed then Abraham,God found fault with natural Israel simply b/c they all carried the stain and spot of Adam,David comes to mind. But David speaks of another king coming, Solomon which means comforter a fore runner of the heavenly Comforter the H.G. A GREATER then Solomon is here. All alone God had a another Israel in mind that wd come via tHE seed of CHRIST WHICH IS THE ISRAEL OF GOD,All thru the bible we read of a heavenly Jacob a heavenly Israel, that the sun nor the moon or any heat will lite on them simply b/c they are spirits the H.G .THAT WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT THATS THE H.G THE ISRAEL OF GOD that is gonna be born in US VIA HIS SEED.Thats y God told MOSES that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob IMPLING THERE IS GONA BE AN ISRAEL OF GOD VIA HIS SEED TH WORD ETC.And Abraham implies multiplication MEANING THE FATHER HIMSELF IS GONNA BE MULTIPLIED AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN, TO WHOM THE WORD ( the seed of Christ )CAME IT MADE THEM GODS. ok lemme go .Dont forget that Abraham Issac and Jacob were father son and granson which implies multiplication a posterity, natural Israel but think of that in the spiritual realm via a heavenly seed initiating an Israel of God. The great PROMISE .A lil one shall become a 1000 and a small one a strong nation th Israel of God.

I think we can take the Matthew 4:18-22 to be the actual calling of the men to follow Him.

The John 1:40, 41 shows that Andrew & Simon Peter were only introduced to Jesus. Andrew of course was one of John the Baptist's disciples who went after Jesus to find out where He was going to stay the night.

Then in John 1:43 ff, Philip & Nathaniel follow Jesus on the following day( Mt 4:18 & Jn 1:43), which could tie up with the day that the other men were called in Matthew chapter 4.

1 John 5:14-16: "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it."

Not knowing the details of what you've shared, if it is at all possible to talk with that person about his lifestyle in light of what God requires of us. The fact that he has asked for prayer indicates a God-consciousness or a desperation for some answer or relief. So I would think that he would be open to listening to you about what sin is & how he must not continue in it.

If he is convicted by God's Word & desires to seek the Lord, you have a great opportunity to pray with him & for him. If he's not interested & just asking for prayer, I would tell him that I will pray but will also ask God to first speak to his heart in respect of his lifestyle as well as his need. The important thing here is that a right relationship to God is first needed. If he wants to have sin & also God's help with his matter, then you need to sense in your spirit whether such a prayer is appropriate.

As the Scripture says: God hears our prayers if we ask according to His Will - I believe the pressing prayer you could offer is for God's Spirit to convict him of his sin & lifestyle. You can tell him that you'll pray, if you feel you ought to, but that his heart's condition & lifestyle are more important than his other needs.

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, Everyone is being really helpful & encouraging. I am enjoying the "online" fellowship & the comfort & help that is being provided by my brothers & sisters in Christ.

Most of the people In the two main churches that I have been to seem to be happy just plodding along and taking everything that the pastors say as gospel. I think they think that because they have been baptised, believe that Jesus died for our sins, & they turn up for church on Sunday that this is enough to them into Heaven. Others might experience that 'comfortable' fit within the Church. But I didn't really feel that at any of the churches that I have been to. I have always felt like I didn't fit in anywhere even from a very young age, and yes I am hungry for Truth from the Word & want to practise what the Bible says & I don't just want to plod on in vain & on the day of judgement be stuck with a

I don't believe a perfect church exists, but I do believe we can still maintain our beliefs, yet also enjoy worshipping together, be it online or elsewhere. I haven't been to church this morning because I feel like I learn more & have a better understanding by reading the bible myself & listening to independent views online, but after reading your reply about it being important for me to fellowship with other believers, I have decided to go to the evening service tonight.

I don't think it's good for me to spend too much time with non believers because it causes me anxiety to be around them too long. I think it's best I just pray for them because my relationship with them is rocky already and has been since I was a teenager.

I came across a site last night called 'The Way Prepared Scriptures Study Review' one of the topics was 'Our Greatest Hindrance: The Doctrines and Commandments of Men' I found it helpful, and was wondering if anyone on here is familiar with the site ?

God bless you & your family.

The letter Paul wrote to Timothy concerning women teaching and preaching. I read the comments by people and the comments some made which included "I believe". For sure, we need to beware what "we believe" but we need to pursue the truth of the text and look for clues in other texts. For instance, does anyone not think, Jesus could of settled this thing so easy by choosing a woman to be one off the twelve! But he didn't. Does anyone wonder why? When Paul is laying some ground rules for the church and the qualifications. He writes several times the man should have one wife........he never says the person should have one spouse or one husband, etc. You get the picture. I Timothy Chapter 6:3. Once again Paul has a chance to clarify. He writes again If any MAN teach otherwise......I read some of these comments about the woman Jesus spoke to being an evangelist because after her meeting with Jesus at the well she went into town and told all. Well lets examine that. You just met an individual that knew things about you he could not possibly have known. No doubt she was amazed and went into town telling everyone about this strange and wise individual. So that makes her an evangelist?????? Really????? does that mean I am a scientist if a scientist tells me a truth about cellular structure and I go into town and tell all I know what he taught me about cells??? I mean some of these comments are reaching and splitting hairs. Our generation from kindergarten up has been socially conditioned (brainwashed) into believing a certain way. When the Bible tells us something to the contrary, we want to start splitting hairs, reading something that isn't there, and outright refusing to believe what it is saying. Sometimes we may not like what we read, but it does not change the truth of the text, nor should we try to. Beware brothers and sisters.

Wayne, true, God did tell Isaiah that He creates evil, but if you take it as written without seeing it in context, one could conclude that God is also the Creator of evil. The context is: for Israel's sake, God raised up Cyrus the Great, of Persia, to conquer Babylon so as to free Israel from the Babylonian captivity ( Isa 45:1).

God also speaks through Isaiah in that chapter about His Greatness & the special position of Israel to His Heart (vv 3-6) & a part of that message was that God can create both light & darkness (the absence of light); He can create peace & also evil (the absence of peace; calamity; war). God, in His Power & Authority can cause Israel to live in peace & security, or if they disobeyed Him, then that peace can be taken away (evil will befall them). However, in this chapter, God is using Cyrus to bring evil (war) by conquering Babylon thus enabling the release of Israel from her clutches.

And so with Job 2:10. Did God specifically bring evil upon Job when he did nothing wrong deserving punishment? Rather, God permitted Satan to afflict Job terribly with the loss of his family, property & affliction of boils. His 'wise, loving' wife told Job to curse God & die - it would be better for him than suffering, but you know Job's response to her: God has blessed me with good & shall not evil (bad) things also come my way - not knowing the reason for his suffering as God gave Satan permission to test Job's faithfulness. Likewise, do we also blame God when evil strikes us? Some do, but those who know the Heart of God understand the matter correctly: a Good God cannot create evil, or else He isn't good - God cannot be both. Evil comes because of our sin or from God's discipline just as He gave to Israel when they left Him.

BILL TRY TO UNDERSTAND Its the seed of Christ which is the living word that is the Israel of God, which are spirits the H.G. PLURAL,God made this Promise to Jesus that his seed wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven. Abraham, Isaac and jacob were just a profile of the heavenly kingdom, Thats what abraham means exaulted Father. Its God almighty that wants a posterity. How can anybody miss this Abraham offered up his only son Issac and the result of this act of obedience was multiplication of his seed wd be as sands of the seas But Christ actually died,Gods only son was offered up to death thus that PROMISE that Christ wd be multiplied as the Stars of heaven, Thus our new birth via his seed the word That new covenant,we birth a new innerman which is the H.G. Whom Jesus refers to as the PROMISE.THUS MULTIPLICATION OF Christ will be as the stars of heaven. This cannot be refuted as God Almighty made this PROMISE of multiplication via the seed of CHRIST. Jesus even tells the Greeks that came to Jerusalem to see Jesus that unless a seed died it abides alone but if it died it will bring forth much fruit meaning multiplication, Everybody will get a seed a measure of faith to birth a baby Christ,Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me. thats how the whole world will see Jesus via his seed that will initiates a birth of Christ in US. Smite the shephard and the sheep and the sheep will be scattered THEN I WILL TURN MY HAND TO THE LITTLE ONES,tHE BABES AND SUCKLINGS THAT ARE GONNA BE BORN IN US tHE H.G. THE CHILD OF PROMISE.Smite the shephard implies his death and resurrection, when a seed dies it multiplies, thus the children that are gonna be born in US via his seed. Thus we see multiplication via his death and resurrection. But Christ will not sire flesh and blood children his offspring are spirits as God is spirit, To whom the WORD came it made them Gods and the scriptures cannot be broken,Jesus regenerates himself via his seed, his breath, HIS WORD GBU BILL
  • Praying For Family and Others on Jeremiah 34:19 - 5 years ago
When we begin to pray in earnest for family and friends; it feels weird. We don't have confidence in our abilities. Satan doesn't want you to pray! Fight against FEELINGS. The first consideration is the realization that one of God's greatest desires is the salvation of all mankind. God's desire is clearly stated.

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 says, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth ( 1 Timothy 2:3-4).

It is God's desire that all should be saved. He loves you so much that He gave His one and only son as a ransom to pay for our sins.

    Overcoming Spiritual Blindness & Deafness.

We should, we must, pray for the Salvation of others. What we are doing is asking God to move in their lives. Jesus said that He came to "seek and to save the lost" ( Luke 19:10). Jesus does the seeking and the Holy Spirit opens their heart. If you want to see someone's heart healed and their eternal future secured, you must be praying. Pray helps open the door to Jesus. Jesus taught that we "ought always to pray and not lose heart" ( Luke 18:1).

Turn off all the media, so we can pray and hear The Holy Spirit.

If it is God's desire that all should be saved, then why are so many people still unsaved? 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us the god of this world [the devil] has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    Bible Commentary for Hebrews 13:17

    Wesley's Notes for Hebrews

13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you - The word implies also, that lead or guide you; namely, in truth and holiness. And submit yourselves - Give up (not your conscience or judgment, but) your own will, in all things purely indifferent. For they watch over your souls - With all zeal and diligence, they guard and caution you against all danger. As they that must give account - To the great Shepherd, for every part of their behaviour toward you. How vigilant then ought every pastor to be! How careful of every soul committed to his charge! That they may do this - Watch over you. With joy and not with groans - He is not a good shepherd, who does not either rejoice over them, or groan for them. The groans of other creatures are heard: how much more shall these come up in the ears of God ! Whoever answers this character of a Christian pastor may undoubtedly demand this obedience.

People's Bible Notes for Hebrews 13:17

Heb 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you. Your elders or bishops. For they watch for your souls. Give them deference on this account, and because they must give account to the Master of those committed to their trust.

  • The Tragedy of Being Isolated by Satan - In Reply on Matthew 24:9 - 5 years ago
Satans best tool against anybody, saved or unsaved, is Isolation. You are vulnerable because of it.

The Humility of Jesus is shown in how he cared for people who came to Him for help.

There are many, many ministries who could use an extra pair of hands, and a friendly smile.

You aren't going to have a husband ring the doorbell. You need to make some calls; call your church for advise. Be VISABLE. Try:

    Feeding ministries

    Benevolence (Clothing,toys,shoes)

    Collecting coats for Kids

Helping with blue or brown Santa

Writing out Holiday greeting cards for shut-in's or elderly

Your local civic organizations (paint scenery for Christmas plays, find costumes, etc

    Help Habitat for Humanity

A nice man may be out in the midst of all that: being his kind and caring self. As long as you're isolated you will not be in range of meeting. Mission accomplished by Satans crummy helpers. Conversation in public only.

If your church doesn't do these kind of things; find a church with a big singles ministry. No rule says you can't visit other singles ministries and attend your regular church.

Life can be fun again. Mishael
